table over looking twin lakes, views, live music, visited July 4th for Americas 250th.

We visit Mammoth Lakes often and we have stayed at a Tamarack cabin in the winter to enjoy cross country skiing. The restaurant is always good whether you are visiting in winter or summer with great food and delicious drinks. Staff is always friendly and sitting in the lounge having a cocktail by the fireplace is so relaxing. Always two thumbs up.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening at the lakefront! Our server, David, was an absolute delight and the ambiance is so cute and homey - very reminiscent of a holiday Hallmark movie. The risotto was the star of the show, however, we could have lived without the lobster bisque. Tasted more like a squash soup rather than a bisque, but still worthy of trying.

Good service, great views, and pretty good food... if you're at Twin Lakes and you are coming from a hike or fishing off the lake... perfect opportunity to check it out.

Came here with my girlfriend during our Mammoth trip and honestly this was the standout meal of the whole weekend. We tried to snag a late New Year's Eve reservation and struck out, but the staff was super accommodating and fit us in on a following night. Very glad they did. The space itself is small, cozy, and intimate in the best way. It feels warm and inviting, especially after a long day in the cold, and sets the tone for a relaxed, linger-over-wine kind of dinner. The food was excellent across the board. We ordered elk, cod, and scallops and the scallops were the clear mic drop. Perfectly cooked, rich, and memorable. Our server recommended a bottle of wine that paired beautifully with everything and felt like someone actually listened instead of just pointing at the most expensive option. Service all around was warm, attentive, and unpretentious, which is not always a given in resort towns. Dessert was sorbet, simple but refreshing, and my girlfriend ordered a port she really enjoyed. After dinner we took the rest of the wine, grabbed a seat by the fireplace, and played chess, which felt like the most civilized way possible to end a night in the snow. Logistics wise, getting here can be a little annoying, especially if you are staying up at Mammoth Mountain Inn. You will want to call a taxi and plan ahead. That said, the extra effort was completely worth it. This is easily one of the best restaurants in Mammoth and the kind of place that makes you forget about the drive once the first plate hits the table.

    Vibe!

I absolutely love coming here either to have a drink by the fire or for a meal! They have a vegan option which was good not great! I know they are known for their meat dishes so I was happy to even have an option but would love if the did something different! Maybe trumpet mushrooms "scallops"?? Just a suggestion! Either way I will always be back for a martini!

We were here twice today. The first time we decided to grab a drink in the bar and listened to music. We had a fabulous time. We had a reservation for dinner so we came back later for that. The dining area is made up of 10 tables so it's very quaint. We started with the pork belly appetizer and bread both delicious. My husband really enjoyed his elk medallions. I thought they were tasty as well. I ordered the lobster pasta. It felt like half the pasta was missing sauce. It ended up being pretty flavorless. The pasta itself was tasty. The sauce just needed to be mixed with all the pasta not just poured on top. The service was amazing at the front and dining area. I can't wait to come back and get a cheese plate in the bar.

We went here to for an anniversary dinner and took our young child with us. They request that children stay seated and we understood and know our child well enough that they could meet this request. I did however feel that we got looks from other patrons because we brought our 4 year old to dinner here. Regardless, she did well- behavior wise and ate well, too. Limited options for children but it's okay. Da hubs and I were pleased with our dishes. And the service was polite, kind, and attentive. The ambiance was quiet with some light jazz and a whole cabin vibe. Just like where you are-- in the woods next to the lake. Overall, it was a nice dinner and experience.

We had a wonderful experience here. The food was incredible, especially the elk medallions. Super tender and flavorful. Everything on the plate was beautifully assembled and worked perfectly together. We will definitely be back on our next trip to mammoth.

If there were more stars to give I would!!!! This restaurant exceeded our expectations. From the moment you walk in, the intimate dining room with only 10 tables. The attention to detail and customer service was truly exceptional. The food was excellent, highly recommend the elk medallion (sorry, that is the one picture we forgot to take because we devoured it too quickly).

Chef was awful. Mediocre in more ways than one. The disrespect was loud. Didn't drive 6 hours for this experience, don't recommend.

No other business does this on Reddit. First, service is very slow and pretty haughty. I had to wait 30 minutes for a simple pesto chicken crepe. It tasted disgusting. I got the apple dessert crepe. It was full of little cubes of raw apple that just fell out of the crepe. There was barely any cinnamon or sugar in it. I also got the pesto crepe. There was a splash of pesto and a couple little pieces of chicken. 90% of the crepe is the bread or galette or whatever. The rest (which isn't much) is just thrown in there. At $16 each, this was a complete ripoff, even worse than the usual Mammoth ripoff. The ambiance is pretty good though and they have a nice wine bar area. I could see this place being good for breakfast, but it's not worth spending any more of my money there.

The staff were great and quick brought out food and drinks. We tried the iced chai and iced matcha lattes, both delicious and plenty of milk options which is a plus. For the main we tried the avocado toast, sweet crepe with strawberries bananas and Nutella, and the breakfast burrito with added sour cream. Everything was great, glad to have found a great breakfast spot next time we're in Mammoth!

We were going to get several appetizers to share, but the first one was so disappointing we decided to cut our losses. The chicken, Asa Buco, we ordered was extremely dry, and we had expressed concerns on it being too spicy for my mother, and our server failed to mention the accompanying coleslaw was spicy with slices of jalapeño pepper in it, Our waiter was also the host and disappeared for most of the time we were there and the other servers were just hanging out at the bar - I had to walk my glass to the bar to get a refill of Coca-Cola... I will say that the view of the mountain is fantastic but our experience here was disappointing, and we have no interest in returning anytime soon.

From what we were told, they coordinate hours with The Yodler across the street, which handles lunch service. We only came for dinner, mostly out of convenience since we were staying at the hotel. The first night, I ordered the bison osso bucco -- oh my god, it was really good. Tender, flavorful, and served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Zero complaints. My husband ordered the salmon and was pretty disappointed; it tasted like it had been frozen far too long. The second night, I went with the short rib grilled cheese with tomato soup, and again -- delicious. Honestly, what's a better combo than grilled cheese and tomato soup? Now add short rib? Wow. Meanwhile, my husband got the burger, which was cold, dry, and flavorless. He couldn't finish it, although the fries were very good. So either I'm excellent at ordering... or he just had bad luck two nights in a row. Bottom line: don't go out of your way to eat here, but you can find something good on the menu. They have a full bar and lots of TVs, which is nice after a ski day. There are definitely better restaurants down the mountain in town, but if you don't feel like driving, this place will do just fine.

The restaurant is intimate, beautifully decorated with Norwegian and Baltic art, and the open kitchen lets you watch Chef Ian and his sous chef masterfully execute dish after dish. It's calm, composed, and honestly just fascinating to watch. The staff is exceptionally well trained, but what impressed me most is that if they don't know an answer, Chef Ian is happy to come to your table himself. He spent time talking with us, answering questions, and making sure we were enjoying everything. He even told us he doesn't have a single wine on the list that he doesn't personally love. Every course was beautifully prepared and perfectly portioned so we could enjoy each one without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. My husband and I genuinely loved every single thing we ate. We visited as a family of four and made reservations ahead of time after hearing so many great things--and we felt incredibly fortunate to secure a Sunday booking, especially since they're closed Monday through Wednesday. It ended up being the perfect way to begin our time in Mammoth. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and efficient without ever feeling rushed. And the food? Absolutely divine. Every dish reflected the expertise and care of a master chef with decades of experience in Norwegian cuisine. What truly elevated the evening was the personal touch--the chef graciously visited our table to greet us and ensure everything was to our liking. That kind of hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated. We ordered three appetizers, a soup, three entrées, and finished with crème brûlée for dessert--and every single item was flawless. An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Five stars--well deserved. Thank you for an unforgettable meal.
