I'm convinced Pittsburgh just has a very low food standard and that's why some of these places are rated so high. I ordered from door dash and from the reviews I read the portions were generous but the only generous portion was the rice. The rice taste and texture itself was subpar. The chicken and lamb pieces were so shriveled up and small. The lamb taste was inconsistent. The chicken barely had flavor. The sauce was average. I liked the baklava but was not happy with the rest of the meal. This spot is extremely overrated but I wonder if the food and experience would've been different in person. read more

Excellent. This is a small and unassuming space, but the quality of the food continues to be exceptional. The people working behind the counter are pleasant and seem to be very much interested in creating the best food and best experience possible. We ordered takeout, but there are a few tables inside and there were a handful of people dining in when I picked up our order. In terms of the food, everything was nicely crafted. The spanakopita was deliciously crisp and flaky with plenty of flavor. The lentil soup was deeply flavorful. The greek salad was good, and filled with crisp vegetables. The falafel wrap was a bit more like a falafel burrito, wrapped in a tortilla. That actually worked well: it was a little more manageable than something wrapped in a pita. The cold appetizers were good as well, with nice flavors and textures. All told, this continues to be an excellent destination for Mediterranean cuisine. read more

I've ordered takeout from the Mediterranean Table twice and both times, I've been impressed. First off, I think they have the best pita bread I've had in a while. It's warm, soft, and fluffy and it's the perfect vessel for the dips and spreads that they offer. Most recently, I ordered cacik (thick cucumber yogurt) for a starter and the mixed kebab plate, which has lamb and chicken shish kebabs. It comes with rice and a side of pita and cabbage/peppers. Everything was super flavorful and delicious. The staff are always so kind when I stop in as well. I want to dine in next time, so I will make a point to do that. read more

We loved everything and the place was buzzing for in house eating and to go's, so that's a good thing! We will absolutely return. Although I was put off by the use of everything being served on paper products as being wasteful, I decided it's better than using horrific styrofoam. Med Table uses very fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, the falafel is too well done. The outer shell of the falafel is very hard- it is fried too long. They also use way too much salt on everything. Most Mediterranean restaurants do this and I don't understand why. Let the food speak for itself. I have visited the Middle East and I can tell you that the food is not over salted. Every falafel stand in the Middle East is not well done to the point that there is a hard shell. Everything I ordered - as I said was way too salty. Med Table - be more judicious using salt and don't fry the falafel to death where it is inedible. Just my point of view. Others may like hard crusted falafel and over salted food. Very good! Came here with a friend while visiting Pittsburgh and had a great lunch. Owner was very attentive, made sure we had plenty of drinks and sauces, and portions were generous. Appreciated the veggie options. Hot tea came with the meal which was great for a cold day. Felt happy and refreshed after the meal, which was a nice change from a usual fried food meals out. I have walked by this new restaurant/take-out many times because it is located in a block of Murray Ave with some of my favorite eateries. I even talked to the owners who while sitting in front invited me to try their new restaurant. Tonight because Mediterranean Grill a regular spot I like was closed we decided to order from Mediterranean Table- the restaurant is small with a grill in front of the street window. I phoned in the order- and tried many dishes I was excited about finding another good spot -I asked if they wanted my name and they said no- They also said the order would take 15 to 20 minutes. I commented "are you sure?" and they said "yes." 45 minutes and several walk-ins by me later we got our food- the staff was busy and they apologized for the wait- I took the food home and while unpacking I noticed that all the paper bags were covered wet with grease. When I unwrapped the lamb gyro the foil was dripping with grease and it was pooling. I took a bite- the pita was soggy so I deconstructed- the lamb was dry the salad was greasy and it was inedible- I then tried the Greek Lemon soup- They must have served me different soup because it was not chicken lemon soup. The veggie kabob was edible and tasty but it also was slick with oil- The lamb kabob was very tough- The grilled chicken kabob was good and was the highlight of a disaster meal that was fit from the trash can. The baba ganosh was bad, The dolma was editable but like the veggies tasted oily. The fatoosh was bad- oily and low quality lettuce tomato and onion that was wilted. 80% of the meal was not consumed because it was so greasy, wilted and tasted fried. Even the pita was cut into very small pieces. I think the atmosphere was chaotic and not relaxing. I had to squeeze my self to the counter- the food was just pain bad and it was 40 minutes late. After only a few bites all four of us felt sick. I am Shocked that so many good reviews are posted because this place is not worth trying, not good quality or properly prepared and above all not healthy. This is a hard pass- it was $90 down the drain and into the trash. Never again. read more

Always happy when a new Mediterranean place opens up! Especially this place, which clearly serves high quality and fresh food. Definitely glad they opened. I got to try out their baklava, chicken Adana wrap, and garlic sauce. It was all very, very good and very, very fresh. The chicken Adana wrap was delicious. The chicken had a perfect texture, was well marinated, and well seasoned. Tons of vegetables. The garlic sauce on the side was also light, delicious, and flavorful. The actual wrap casing was a bit weak (easy to tear apart, not really crispy) but was alright still. I had originslly ordered their rice pudding, but on this day they were out, so I got to try the baklava instead. It was very tasty! Great portion, not too sweet, but still delicious. We almost passed by this restaurant because the seating for 5 is limited but we are so glad we put two tables together and stayed! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing! Ordered through Uber. Got mixed grill plate, spanakopita, hummus and came with free grape leaf dolmas. The shaved meat in the $35 mixed grill was extremely dry like jerky. The cubes of lamb and chicken had no seasoning and the lamb kabob chunks were extremely chewy.. the spanakopita was cooked in old oil and the triangles were dark brown and biting into them you got a mouth full of oil. The hummus was a bright orange, very oily on the surface and had no taste. The free dolmas were extremely mushy and the leaves were soggy and tasted like they were soaked in some type of Italian dressing ( just trying to describe the taste) even the rice included had no flavor at all.. unfortunately I will not order here again.. sorry about not having pictures.. read more

Food is great and the prices too . Soup is served VERY hot... not quite necessary to be so hot. Use the food thermometer and make it around 190 degrees.
