We stayed here for a few weeks in December while moving to Bend for new jobs. It is the most lavish, friendliest, cleanest and most wonderful places I've ever had the joy of staying at. We had various rooms and different times, but results were always the same. Perfectly appointed rooms. Our company paid for us to stay here, so I can't speak to the price... I think this is my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff has attended to every detail, to make your experience a pleasant one. All attendants were just so personable: parking attendant, bellman, front desk receptionist, housekeeper, and restaurant staff-- I was really amazed. As a frequent traveler, I'm used to accommodating other peoples' occasional shortcomings, in the realm of interpersonal interaction, but not at Oxford. I think that, no matter what "class" you normally "fly," The Oxford Hotel will impress you. I can't wait to come back here-- I'm never staying anywhere else in the Bend/ Central Oregon area ever again. It's the best. Side note: the restaurant, 10 Below. Wonderful hotel food, better than I expected. I usually have a hard time at restaurants because of multiple food intolerances, and I often have to order a combination of things off the menu that aren't otherwise related (which, generally, either isn't permitted, or royally tees off the chef), so I got nervous when my bartender/ server wasn't writing down all that I was saying, to bring back to the kitchen. To my surprise and delight, all that I ordered came out perfectly, even though it was pretty complex (thanks, Claudia!). The chef made a point to greet me and explain that I needn't feel bad: making people happy is his specialty (thanks, Dustin!). They have a ridiculously great happy hour here (two of 'em, actually), so it actually makes it possible to eat and drink on the cheap... even at an upscale boutique hotel downtown! Doesn't get much more Oregonian than that! So sweet, so accommodating. Oh yeah, and the workout area boasts an epic steam room that'll make you forget what planet you're on, as well as a pretty top-notch whirlpool and traditional sauna. Yes. Perfect after a day of driving. They really take care of you here, and it feels so good. read more

My company rented out half the hotel for a conference and it couldn't have been a better experience the rooms were amazing I got to check out a couple of set ups. I did however luck out and get what I consider the best room they offer, balcony, living room, kitchen, and the steam shower was the cherry on top of the sundae. The only downside is the fact I could hear the exhaust for the furnace turn on and it was close to the alley where the garbage was picked up at 4 in the morning and woke me up that sucked a lot but it gave me time to start the steam shower and I got a start on the day with the awesome local coffee in the French press. read more

Great amazing hotel! The service was amazing! Staff members were just spot on with their service and also goes out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasurable and comfortable! Clean rooms with great interior design! The room service was affordable and tasty! Everything about this hotel is great! They are eco-friendly so their bedding is made from recycled products and they have a great pillow menu that we didn't get to use because we already loved the pillows on the bed. I loved that they offered free laundry. The staff was amazing and they offer shuttle services to any where in town! Also they have bikes that you can use to ride around the small town! read more

I was literally wandering looking for a hotel that was dog friendly and came across the Oxford. I walked in on spec to see if they could house me and the malamute. They said due to the wildfire a few miles out of town they were down to one room. I took it price was within my range. My expectations on the other hand were blown away. This place is amazing. They apologized for the twin beds. Since it was just me and dog. The room is HUGE. Exceptionally well appointed. I would say value for money far exceeded my expectations. The service was outstanding. I had inroom dining and the food was excellent. They have managed to do the small things right and the big things done properly. They have puppy deal which is a little spendy but they took care of it all and I think it's kind of smooth that your getting the "pet deposit" and treats in one. This is a must stay if you are in Bend. read more

Rarely have we stayed at a hotel this charming and accommodating. The staff is there for your every need, rooms are new and beautiful and the hotel is right in the middle of charming Bend. We arrived dusty and dirty after an amazing full day of mt biking Phil's trails and they welcomed us and our grit with open arms. We reveled in the steam and hot tub while we did our laundry in the hotel's complimentary laundry room- brilliant! All we had to do for dinner was go to the lowest level for a fantastic farm to table meal and a nice bar. Love this place! read more

Valet was very attentive, white glove check-in, our room had a deck with a bottle of champagne and treats with a hand written note from the GM. Truly wish we were staying longer than 1 night! Everyone at The Oxford is so friendly, professional and welcoming. The rooms were ENORMOUS and had every amenity you'd want in a boutique hotel... French Press coffee, full size shampoo/conditioner/bath gel (and nice quality too even for this picky product person!). The location is perfect, right downtown and walking distance to tons of great restaurants and shops. I can't say enough good things about this hotel and would definitely stay here again! read more

My husband and I had a staycation here as we live in Bend. The gentleman who checked us in was prompt and courteous. Our room was exceptionally clean and the mattress was great! We appreciated the local soap and toiletries, as well as the coffee and selection of teas. I won't normally use the bathtub in a hotel but this one is very clean and it is a big tub so you are able to get a great soak. We will be back!! read more

Visited at the end of March. Very cool place in a revitalized part of downtown Bend. Good restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Nice decor and architecture in the common areas and rooms. The front desk check-in girl was a bit formal, which is not like Bend at all. However, she was able to snag us four tickets to the Jazz concert for Saturday night (I had called about a week ahead and was told they were sold out but they kept some tics reserved for guests.) Also, she told us how to use public parking to save on the hotel valet parking expense. The only significant negative was the bed. They touted it as a "Natura green" mattress stuffed with god knows what which I found to be lumpy and sagging into the center. After a day of skiing at Bachelor it was very uncomfortable. Other than that issue I would give this hotel five stars and we will be back for other visits. read more

ah, this was a nice place to stay while getting to know Bend, OR. great downtown location and within walking distances to many great hand craft breweries. the staff was uber friendly and helpful and not a sliver of stuffiness. little things like that help make the over-all experience great. the rooms were great. we stayed on an upper floor. great size, and how it was broken up into usable sections was a plus, and the bathroom was well outfitted and not cramps at all. the food was quite a surprise. we decide to 'order-in' one night and order the in-room service provided by 10 Below, the restaurant in the oxford hotel itself. we were blown away. awesome seared scallops in king trumpet cream sauce, beef cheeks, and even the onion soup was great. (as well as wedge candied bacon salad) ;) -- it was so good that we opted not to go out that second night and order in. ha. we would stay here again when visiting later this summer. thanks Oxford, you were awesome. read more

My wife and I stayed here recently for our Anniversary. We have traveled internationally and around the country and stayed at very nice hotels, but we have never received such outstanding service, as we did at the Oxford hotel. From a complimentary room upgrade and flowers and champagne in the room, to luxury car transportation to and from our evening dinner venue, the friendly and accommodating staff went out of their way to make our stay special. The Mountain suite was wonderful, very roomy, with a very comfortable bed and a heavenly shower with steam shower option. A top notch hotel, definitely deserving of a five star rating! read more

Wow... IMPRESSIVE hotel...nice compliment for this high desert town surrounded by beautiful mountains with snow capped peaks, and a vibrant downtown. Superb guest services, clean, modern, thoughtful design, access restricted elevators (good security feature for hotel clients only), well apportioned, comfortable rooms. Just a great hotel that offers you a great experience ....our room had fresh ground coffee, french press coffee pots, quality bathroom products, beautiful views of the local mountains, beds to die for, close to great variety of downtown restaurants / coffee shops (local, not StarBucky types) and they don't nickel and dime you for petty up charges. Plan a second trip to Bend in July and will be staying at this hotel again. read more

This was an interesting experience. Coming over to Bend for an insanely quick business trip (in & out in under 24 hours), my client had arranged them to pick me up at the airport which was great. Nice driver, even had a little sign with my name on it. Got there and check-in was at a sit-down desk which was odd - just wanted to get my key and toss my stuff in my room before my ride came, didn't want to sit down and get comfortable. They gave me my key but I realized later, told me nothing about checkout but did say a taxi had been arranged to get me back to the airport in the morning because they didn't shuttle people at 6:30am (kind of odd that a fancy hotel wouldn't have a morning shuttle as lots of folks take the early flights). Then rather than give me my key, another guy wanted to take me personally to my room. Ok fine, that's very nice. Then he wanted to come into my room and show me every single tiny feature, from the bathrobe in the closet to where the shower was in the bathroom. It felt like he was there for at least five minutes and I'd said hey, I just need to get settled before I leave for my meetings and didn't feel like he got it. Very very overeager to the point of annoying. I appreciate the intent, but the better action at the front desk would have been to *ask* if I wanted to be shown to my room. The room itself was lovely but really, no one needs two TVs in one room with one bed. This is a place that prides itself as a "green hotel" but both TVs were on when we came in, and most of the lights. I liked that they had refillable soap/shampoo rather than wasteful samples - more hotels should do this! - but the sink's faucet was odd in that when you turn it off, it slowly stops the water after you've turned it off, actually wasting water (like a light dimming, very weird). I like that they had eco friendly beds but found that they weren't any more comfortable than an average nice hotel's bed, but A for effort on the sustainability side. Surprised to see a leather (animal hide isn't exactly eco-friendly) sofa as well. The Wifi was very spotty - sometimes it would work, sometimes it did not, and in the morning when I was trying to check in for my flight online, it never did end up coming on so I had to use my phone instead which was kinda lame. There was no indication of how to check out (most nice hotels just let you do it on the TV these days), and there was no menu hanger for the door handle like most hotels have to leave your in-room breakfast order. I am guessing they want to keep things in the human interaction mode, but honestly when you're whirlwind traveling sometimes you just want to enjoy those few minutes you get of peace and quiet without feeling like you have to make chit chat with everyone for way too long. In the morning the taxi was there as they'd promised but it was bar none the worst taxi ride I've ever taken. Open the door and it REEKED of cigarette smoke (do we have to ask for nonsmoking cabs these days?) and I spent 25 minutes in this nasty vehicle with my hand over my mouth and nose it was that bad, actually nauseated by the time I got to the airport and my nice wool coat stinking of smoke. I think with a few changes (ask if your customers need to be shown everything in their room or would rather go up on their own, tell the taxi companies to be nonsmoking, have those amenities I mentioned, focus on energy efficiency with lights/tvs/etc.) they'd be worth the $200+ per night, but right now it's a bit pricey - especially for Bend where I could get a comfortable bed for half that. read more

From the pick up at the airport, to loading your bags in the car on the way out, this place is the bomb. The staff is friendly at every turn, the rooms are sweet, the beds are comfortable. Great exercise room with steam, sauna and hot tub. Due to the extensive pillow bar we ended up with around a dozen pillows by the end of our stay. Straight-up HUGE props to the staff and dreamer-doers behind this small upscale hotel, perfectly placed in the center of uber-cool Bend. This place is restorative in ways that just aren't found in many accommodations, these days. The vibe is absolutely fine on fine and greatly enhanced by amenities that I've never seen offered: Mainly, guitars and a mandolin are in a lending library in the lobby and can be borrowed during your stay. The Breedlove Stringed Instruments factory is here in town and they formed an alliance with the hotel, so we get to play. BAM! Having super-friendly and sincerely nice staffers around, like Lael Smith and Maria (?) who brought us food, turned down our beds and made us laugh, make it a place we'll for sure return to. Way to make a first impression, Bend! THIS is how y'do it right. Thanks for that. (PS: Come hungry. You WILL want to try just about everything from the restaurant. AND, they do have their own pastry chef, so save calories before you visit.) read more

Twenty bucks for a wine tasting...... Too bad, but real stupid..... A middle of the road management company built an affordable higher end boutique property in the heart of Bend, and it's FANTASTIC. Incredible rates for the size of the rooms, and the finish therein. It's stunning layout and design... carving up a very huge, very long awkward space into a beautiful living / office area aside from the bedroom. I loved my stay here, and really hope business brings me back to the Cornell Hotel program again.... I would love to stay at this place more often. Bend itself is like Boulder West... happening people, athletic and vibrant. It's a special place, and the Oxford Hotel is certainly a shining light for the city. The Management is superb, and the public spaces are beautiful and understated. The design of the lobby is fantastic. I really enjoyed the restaurant as well. The fitness room was ample.... spring for the jr suite. It's worth it, and you might get a fun view of the city. read more
