Great and clean place to stay! Rooms were clean and comfortable, and everyone on their staff was super friendly. Rae at the front desk was very welcoming when we checked in. Sophia at the cafe provided the best service! Not only did she bartend, she also was a hostess and server, and she was super friendly! Jerod behind the kitchen was ensuring all of us got our food quickly. While the jacuzzi and sauna didn't work, we did enjoy their little fitness center. The best part was the 2 free drinks and appetizers during our stay. We hung out by the fireplace in the lobby. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Definitely recommend.

Relax by hot fire in lobby while waiting for room.

Wonderful staff great place to go with hot male to order breakfast and nightly drink coupons...except for Sunday and Monday Staff really needs a chair to sit on behind counter to rest after stressful encounters and through slow periods!! Please give me a number for corporate to suggest. Thanks for all your help during our heater fire and snow storms!! U know who you are!

We're in Bellingham for a few days at the beginning of spring break, and staying at Oxford Suites. We have a room with a full kitchen, and separate bedroom / bathroom. The room is huge, I've lived in smaller apartments. The kitchen is almost fully equipped with a standard refrigerator, two burner cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, sink, pots and pans, utensils, etc. (bring a sharp knife and can opener). You can definitely save a lot of money while traveling if you prepare your own food (pro tip: a precooked chicken at Whole Foods for under ten bucks can provide sandwiches and snacks for days). We're on the top floor, with a view of a wooded area at the back of the property. Heating and AC work well, and the windows open enough to get fresh air in. The bathroom suite features a full bathtub, and there's a separate first class shower. The bed is a king and is very comfortable, and the table lamps and bedside lights sport USB charging ports. WiFi is good. Even though the hotel is fairly full, it has been quiet. The room, and the hotel as a whole, are very clean and up to date. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, though they may be a tad understaffed for how busy they are. Guests are entitled to a complimentaty breakfast (didn't check that out), plus a couple of evening drinks, soup and salad. If you're a light evening eater, this could very well be your evening meal. This appears to be working very well for families traveling with kids. You can also purchase food in the dining room, which I would describe as a light meal, or more subjectively as I'm a large active person, a snack. The location is smack in the middle of Mall Land. If malls are your thing, there is just about anything you can think of right here. Also a few blocks from I5 on and off ramps, plus the street it is on, Meridian, can get you downtown in ten minutes. The parking lot is very well lit. There are two dedicated parking spots for electric vehicle charging, one standard SAE and one for Tesla. Apparently charging is complimentary. One more thing I appreciate very much here: the absence of televisions in the common areas. Having to try to eat a meal at a hotel while some inane news or entertainment show blares in the background is not relaxing. They've got it right here: no TV in the lobby, none in the dining area.

Earlier this month we had our second stay with them in two years. Rooms are spacious. Beds are super comfy. Great and convenient location for all we desire to do in the area! Staff are eager to help but our favorites are Rob and Chris! These guys go above and beyond!!!! The night staff is our favorite by far but recommend for any length of stay! Thanks for everything!

What an awesome experience! I booked the room over the phone, and the employee was super friendly and helpful. I was shocked at how great the service was. I told her about my AAA card and was given a discount. For a king studio room, the cost was just under $100 for the night. The location itself is pretty good. It's right next to the mall with a large parking lot, and even a charging station for electric cars. The interior and exterior is both modern and nice. If you want to go downtown, it's only a little over 10 minutes of a drive. Check in isn't until 4, but I was able to check in early and got the room I had requested (a king sized bed in the corner). The room had a couch, television, desk, bed, glass standing shower, bathtub... pretty standard for what I'd expect at a hotel, but still very nice. One of my favorite things about this hotel is that you get two free drink tickets for beer, wine, or soda at their restaurant. However, you can redeem two tickets for a wells drink. You also get complimentary breakfast which is about the same quality as other hotel breakfast bars. Not great, but it covers the bases. During my stay, I enjoyed the fitness room that has treadmills, a stationary bike, and free weights. There's a television in the room as well as sanitary wipes to clean the equipment, and a water dispenser with paper cups. Everything about my stay was excellent, and the value was outstanding. I'll definitely return next time I am in Bellingham!

Love to stay here when visiting Bellingham. Just left again and was very pleased. Easy check in process, great staff, clean and roomy rooms. Also, since we booked through their website, we got 2 free drink tickets (each) along with our breakfast ticket. Went down to the hotel bar before heading out and had a lovely Aslan beer. Easy check out service and great parking. Whenever I go to Bellingham, I am staying here.

Ya know, we booked this hotel because it was right in the downtown core of Bellingham and I had my…read moresuspicions when we arrived. We arrived Friday night and could not find any parking in the small garage, so we ended up parking in the street. When we told the team member at the front desk this, he gave me other places of where to park and said that street parking would be fine as long as we moved our car by 11am the next day. I didn't feel completely comfortable parking on the street, but fortunately, the car was still there when we woke up. And thus soon after, all my suspicions about Hotel Leo faded away. This hotel was fantastic! Besides the small garage which obviously fills up quickly for hotel guests, we have no complaints. First off, the hotel staff could not be friendlier. Although we did not have the best first impression with the lack of parking, it had nothing to do with the staff or actual lodging. We were warmly welcomed and were told all the important deets of our stay. At the hotel lobby is free Caffe Vita coffee and Smith tea for guests, along with filtered water. Heck yeah! They also have this really good coffee and tea in the hotel room, which was a win because we're a fan of both of these products from the Pacific Northwest! We had a room with a king size bed and it was very large and spacious. When booking, we also specifically looked for a dog-friendly hotel in the area, which Hotel Leo is. So yes, an automatic win. We saw a bunch of doggy guests here, and they have a designated dog relief area with poop bags. We had everything we needed, including AC and WiFi. The location cannot be beat as we were walking distance to everything being in downtown Bellingham, and it made for a great base for when we hiked around the area. I also love the historic building, and they show the old photos of the hotel when it first opened in the lobby. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Leo if you're in need of accommodations in Bellingham.

Value: 10/5 Stars. Service: 5/5 Stars. Granted, we were "low-touch" guests, but everyone was pleasant, prompt, professional, and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and set-up for our stay. The restaurant staff were very nice and accomodating. Quality: 4/5 or 5/5 Stars. I only took off a star because it is a very old hotel and there are limits to what can do without completely tearing down, which would be a massive shame. You could argue for 5 stars for what it is, but I put that love into the value section. They could perhaps do a little more for a more upper-end feel, but then prices would start rising and charm would start to drop. If I ever have a need/desire to stay in Bellingham again, if I'm on a budget or just want to be walking distance from everything in the downtown core, this hotel will definitely be my first thought. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for this.

We had room #111, which is the closest room on the second floor to the main (lobby) building. I thought road noise might be a problem, but it wasn't really noticeable. In fact, there were only two things I didn't like about the room. There are no microwaves in the rooms. But there is a small one in the hallway on each building's floor, shared by all. Not as convenient (we use it a lot for tea, coffee, etc.), but good enough. More annoying was the amount of light coming in from the windows. There are bright security lights on all night (that's good), but the curtains were not designed to cope with that light. Therefore, the room remains pretty bright all night. That I really didn't like. You can look at my photos for an idea of what the breakfast buffet included (e.g., 2 kinds of bread, 2 fruits, 4 dry cereals, coffee, etc.) Nothing remarkable, but I have definitely experienced worse. Overall, it was a comfortable, clean, and relatively quiet room, at an exceptionally good price. Service was always very friendly and helpful. And the location is centrally located, near the I-5 freeway, near downtown, and pretty close to Boulevard Park, Zuanich Point Park, and Whatcom Falls Park. If I return to Bellingham, this would definitely be my first choice of lodging.
