Oxmoor Center is a great mall! It's always clean, well maintained, and has a really nice variety of stores. The atmosphere feels comfortable and updated, and it's a great place to shop or just walk around for a while. My children love the huge chess board and always want to play and I love to get my nails done. There's so many great stores. Definitely one of the better malls in the area. read more

I recently explored this mall one evening after not being there for some time. It is definitely more upscale and classier than the Mall St. Matthews, which I appreciate and find more my style and comfort level as well. I found pleasures I had not anticipated including free piano playing to listen to at Von Maur, an uncrowded bar at BJ's Brewhouse on a Friday night (though the friendly bartender said this was unusual), and a wonderful place to get a manicure at Pro Nails where I enjoyed being pampered. read more

Updating this review since the last time I reviewed was in 2020 ... when things were ... different. I'm glad to say that Oxmoor remains my favorite mall in Louisville. It continues to pull in great stores and has an overall relaxed shopping vibe. Some of my favorite stores include Warby Parker, Anthropologie, H&M, Apple, Lolli & Pops, Madewell and Sephora. And its anchors include the upscale mini-golf venue Puttshack, Macy's, Von Maur and Dick's. Food includes long-time favorites like California Pizza Kitchen and new-ish spots like Chicken Salad Chick and The Eagle. Oxmoor doesn't have a food court, just full restaurants or spots like Auntie Anne's that are mixed in among the stores. I also appreciate that there aren't a ton of kiosks in the walkways and that the kiosk workers don't try to pull you into a sale. Oxmoor just feels a bit more grown up compared to Mall St. Matthews. Always happy to shop at it! read more

Oxmoor center is a smaller mall located in st Mathews area located on the opposite side of the gene Snyder exit as long time rival mall st Mathews. Over the years it's been sad to see this and the Jefferson mall dwindle in size and retail space so much. While oxmoor center still does cling on to some upscale stores and restaurants. It really does not offer anything unique anymore that would make you come into this location as opposed to the mall st Mathews less than a half mile away. I've also noticed that at this location they use to have a second floor food court. Now not only is there no food court I don't even see a second floor anymore. So the place has gone through major facelifts over the years. Which is shame. But I guess it's at least still hanging in there. To me this place seems like it's much smaller then Jefferson mall now out in the okolona area of Louisville. And in the past it never felt that way. read more

The era of the great American shopping mall is certainly in the past, but this mall has done a good job of keeping up with the times. It offers some nice options. I do too much of my shopping online, but sometimes you need to do something in person. And this is a good choice for that. read more

Oxmoor mall used to be the pinnacle of malls in the area back in the 90s probably. It used to be filled with stores and restaurants and just was really nice and elegant and had a good feel about it. Now like a lot of shopping centers and things it has regressed very much and it is no longer to the quality of what it once was unfortunately. I was a little surprised to see that they have a temporary L'Occitane store in the center of the mall but its not listed on the site or directories. Its a beautiful shop and at least for the next few months you don't have to drive to another state or shop online to get the most beautifully made soaps, skincare and Body products from Provence. read more

Oxmoor Mall has been influx, causing people to question if malls are dead, but the stores are beginning to settle back in. Some have moved location, and others left to make room for new stores. A metro vote recently approved Top Golf to take over the spot Sears left empty, so now we wait to see if this comes to be. Parking: The hidden gem for parking used to be on the side of Sears. Sadly, my spot is no more with the changes. The parking lot is fairly hectic and a little confusing, especially around Dick's Sporting Goods. They've even placed highway bars around busy areas to prevent people from making their own path. Food: Oxmoor Mall doesn't have a food court. Instead, restaurants and snacks are scattered around the building. You can enjoy California Pizza Kitchen, BJs, pretzels, cookies, Chinese options at Rice and Yankee Noodle and Panera. And, don't forget Starbucks. They have a kiosk in the middle of the mall with lots of seating nearby. I enjoy making a pit stop here to regroup and relax during the long trips. Shopping: All stores are on one level now, although a few do have their own upstairs. Most shops have a quality feel, but not all are upscale (i.e Ann Taylor vs Francesca's, Banana Republic vs Old Navy, Pottery Barn Kids vs Disney Store). This mall also touts the Apple Store, the new Lego store, Lush and one of my favs, Macy's. Von Maur rounds off the other corner. As compared to other malls, I find myself shopping at several of the stores. Kids: The playground has been removed. I hated the one they had because it was made of hard plastic and I was convinced kids chipped their teeth daily. Plus, it felt germy as all play areas do. But, don't fret! For only a few dollars you can ride the battery powered animals around the mall or older kids will appreciate Dart Rush. This mall is accessible from 264 Watterson on Shelbyville Rd, or take back streets through Oxmoor Woods to get there. Free WiFi is available by signing in with your email. Follow their social media to get news of events or pop up shops. There's also comfortable seating positioned throughout the building, as well as massage chairs. read more

My first time here and for a snow day, the mall was not that bad. There are several key stores that I love in this mall: The Disney Store, Bath and Body Works, Old Navy, Brightens, Apple, Coach, just to name a few... There is a California Pizza, Panera, Auntie Annie's, Pita Restaurant, Starbucks and more... Beautiful seating areas and cell phone/lap top charging areas. Kids play area with some coin operated rides, the animal ride rental booth, massage chairs and bubble gum stands...clean bathrooms and police not security guards walking around. While the "mall" is becoming a thing of the past... It seems this once bustling mall has come a place of no food options, and a place to come in for one thing and immediately leave. It's quite sad. The many fake flowers throughout the mall and the once busy Starbucks now a brown carpet area? also add a nice touch as to how well the mall management takes care of this place. Pro tip: Stop in two hours before the mall closes and 2/3 of the mall is already closed on top of the many vacant spots which I have heard is solely due to high rent. You can come to find a great cell phone case with the three different store options...and maybe just maybe grab a cookie....I hope top golf coming into this mall, one day, revives this once potential location. I hate to see what once had so much potential fall to poor management. read more

You know, Facebook is a remarkable thing. It lets you peek into the lives of people you have long ago stopped thinking about. It fulfills every voyeuristic yearning this generation has. You can see what someone looks like ("Man, he got FAT!"), where someone lives ("She's there? Hmm, wonder what the story behind that is.") and what someone does for a living ("Wait. Didn't he go to law school? What??!"). It's a nice refresher but sometimes it's best to leave the past in the past. This was the lesson I learned at Oxmoor Center. When I was younger, Oxmoor was THE place to hang out on a Friday night. "Where are you going?" "The mall." "What are you going to do?" "Hang out." And, so it went until one was old enough to drive, go to parties and do all the things 15 year-olds should never do. I logged many miles roaming the corridors, eating Great American cookies and hang-up calling girls I was too shy to approach in school. I'm having a moment here -- don't judge me! Oxmoor was bright, shiny, new, a ton of fun. Fast forward to the present. Oxmoor has seen better days. The crowds are sparser, the stores are older and the mood is blah-er. I didn't feel any of the frenetic energy that I remember from days gone by (or, that I experienced at The Mall St. Matthews). I mean, a mall is a mall is a mall, but things just seemed...different. The anchor stores (Macys, Sears and...something else. I can't remember...Von Maur, maybe.) had ho-hum decorations out for the holidays. This is the big game, in mall world. If this is how you go all out, stay at home. I was whelmed. Points to Oxmoor, though, for having an Apple Store. I never thought I would feel the warm glow of Steve Jobs' love in Louisville, but there it was. My return to Oxmoor was quick and efficient. I didn't have to battle large crowds and long lines. I was able to get in and out without much fuss. The corridors were easy to navigate and the concourses were free & clear. Generally, these should be good things but, at Christmastime, one expects big crowds and pushy people. When your mall can't garner that kind of attention, something is wrong. I can appreciate trying to stay above the fray. I can appreciate the less-is-more and quality-over-quantity mindsets. I do. I get it. But, rather than planned snobbery, the effect was post-expiration. I know you can do it, Oxmoor. Become awesome once again. read more

Very nice collection of higher end shops as well as Von Maur which in my opinion is the nicest department store in town! I remember when they used to have a mini food court area upstairs and all these random, specialty shops that I never saw anyone in. I almost gave this mall five stars, but I don't think any mall deserves five stars. I will give it four stars though. This might be my favorite shopping mall in the area. Honestly, since the outlets opened in Simpsonville, I rarely go to the mall. Others have mentioned heavy traffic. That can be true, but if you know the secret ways in and out as well as the best places to park, it's not a headache like other malls I've been to. My main uses for this mall? Dick's Sporting Goods. H&M. Macy's. Disney Store. There are many stores in this mall that are more in the upscale category. Most of those stores are obsolete for me because you can drive 20-30 minutes down the interstate to their much cheaper outlet store. Someone else mentioned Yang Kee Noodle in Oxmoor. I think that's the worst one. I would much rather visit the one in the Highlands or Middletown. The service has always been spotty for me when visiting the one in Oxmoor. It's the same with California Pizza Kitchen. You can go to your nearest grocer and buy CPK frozen pizzas that are delicious, so why go pay a premium to eat in? (Frozen thin crust white pizza and the thin crust bbq chicken pizza for those wanting to try them) While the landscape of this mall has changed over the past few years(since they took out the upstairs and the escalator - Why did they do that again?), if you must visit a mall, this is the one to visit. read more

While I generally do my best to avoid malls, Oxmoor Center is my personal favorite in the Louisville area. It is located on Shelbyville Road, which I also do my best to avoid, but if you're out there, it is convenient, since there are many other shopping options in the area as well. (For example, I might hit up Trader Joe's and Nordstrom Rack after a trip to Oxmoor.) It is home to a Macy's, H&M, and Old Navy, some of my "go to" shopping spots. They don't have a traditional "food court", but there are plenty of eating spots, including quick (Auntie Anne's) and sit down (California Pizza Kitchen) options. The Macy's, Sears, Von Maur, and Dick's are the four largest stores, but you'll find typical mall fare between them. It's a clean mall (not that I know of any "dirty" ones). They occasionally have Facebook contests (I won a gift card once.) and other promotions/events going on in the mall. If I have to go to the mall, this will do! ;) read more

My mother ship, the Apple Store, is located here so I will be here every once in a while. They also have a crack team at the Panera Bread so if I am working and need soup but also have business at the mall I can find myself here. The Good: 1. Mall parking is the worst because everyone is terrible BUT as far as mall parking goes this isn't as bad as it could be and is much better than other similar places in the city. 2. Their GAP is the best one in the Commonwealth. I will admit, without shame, to having been to all of them because I like their jeans and the only thing I like more than their jeans is ripping their jeans when I can't just go home and change. 3. Starbucks? Teavana? Yes. 4. You can drop Grandpa off at Sears while you shop or ride him around on one of those rolling stuffed animals. The other bits: 1. Parking is easy but getting into and then out of the building can be weird. I don't like cutting through Sephora or H&M to get into the mall because I feel rude but doing it 2. Oxmoor is definitely the classiest mall in the Ville. They have more high end stores to choose from, such as Kate Spade and Michael Kors, than the other malls do. This being said, there are also more well-put together people that shop here. A lot has changed in the past few years; I miss the second floor food court that was demolished. Now there are a bout 3 options to choose from; All scattered throughout the mall. This isn't a mall that I could spend any longer than 30 minutes in. Many of the stores are quite pricey. I've also always despised the fact that it is 2 minutes from the St. Matthews mall. Usually I run in real quick to Oxmoor to pick up a thing or two, since there are certain stores there that aren't in the other malls, and then drive to St Matt's to actually shop, but the process in between is just kind of inconvenient. It is by far the safest mall in Louisville and has a much lower theft rate. read more

We came here awhile back and just now getting to review it. Parked by old navy sign and walked awhile before we reached the front doors and then more to find old navy. It's a lot of mall to cover and we barely covered any sq feet before it was closing. My daughter loved all the trendy places to sneak a peek at but after a full day of shopping other places I was worn out and Ready to go back to the hotel. This mall was busy with kids and adults. Plenty of places for them to ship and younger kids to play on the little play lands they had. Plenty of snack and food options. Each one being busy with customers. It would be difficult to come to if you wanted to go to a few stores because it is so big and we found driving from one side to the next was easier. Stores were a good size and clean though making it enjoyable to browse once inside of them. read more

I've come here several times from Lexington. I really enjoy the fact that there's plenty of parking space and the mall isn't so packed every time I've been here. I especially love the fact that the clearances items I come across actually have multiple size options and not just the typical XS that's usually always left. The staff I've come across are very friendly and helpful, more so than other malls/places I've been to in the past. I will most definitely be back in the future. read more

This is a good size mall, but the selection of stores is just not my fav compared to other malls. The neighboring Mall St Matthews might be my favorite mall. Since the two malls are next to each other, I usually visit both. I do enjoy the large open corridors at this mall with rich colors, earthy tiles, abundant sitting areas, and two-level center court (though the second floor occupies only a tiny portion of the mall, it's the only mall in town with a second floor). I have mixed feelings about the food court, which occupies half of the second floor. I enjoy pulling up a chair to a table along a rail overlooking the first floor. However, I've never been a big fan of the small selection of well-known to barely-known fast food options. Some have suggested that this mall caters to the middle-age crowd while the mall next door grabs the younger crowd by the ear and says "hey... look at me." While I see people of all ages at both malls, I would agree with this assumption. read more

We really enjoy this mall. It feels a little on the smaller side but there are some great places to enjoy. This mall has a LEGO store that my daughter always has to explore while we are around. It also has a Disney store- it's a little smaller than the one in Lexington and Disney stores are always crowded (gives me anxiety to think about it). Not a bad mall, honestly I only come here so my little one can run around in the play area next to Sears. They do have Macy's which is a plus if you're wanting name brand and higher end clothing lines. There's also H&M, Old Navy, and Banana Republic. For restaurants they have BJ's, Rice, Yankee Noodle, and California Pizza Kitchen. The mall is always air conditioned during the hot months and is always clean. The restrooms are clean and sanitary as well. I just wish Oxmoor and St. Matthew's were connected to make one giant mall. The driving down the street thing is a big inconvenience. read more

My second favorite area mall, we don't tend to make it to Oxmoor often. The stores are a little higher class and your money typically doesn't go as far. If I drop in I'll go to H&M for the guys, Dick's, the Apple Store, if I need service, or Sephora. I'll occasionally check out Old Navy, or Disney too. I also found a new store that I loved but due to the cost, I won't tempt myself too often. It's called Altar'd State. The mall itself is well kept and bright. I gotta admit though that I miss the upper level food court, ice cream parlor and movie theater. Those were the days!! read more

When you refuse to honor the Entertainment book and app coupons associated with YOUR store you are essentially screwing the local schools and charities. RUE21, H&M, and HOT TOPIC refuse to honor Entertainment fundraising apps. FYE always honors the coupons and so does Claires. Quote from FYE "I don't get why they wouldn't. You just type in numbers or scan it." The coupons are sold to support schools and local charities. It's disgusting when you decide to make them worth nothing. Maybe you're not aware. There are a few places that I come here for. Everything else tends to be out of my pay grade so I avoid it because I'm known to impulse buy something I don't need for $300 because when I'm shopping I have no idea what the word "class" means. Window shopping is not a virtue that I was blessed with. On the other hand, I do love several of the stores inside, such as my tech headquarters, The Apple Store, H&M, The Disney Store, Starbucks (White girl status must be achieved!) and I like looking through Sephora. The parking isn't a pain like most malls tend to be (do note that I've never ventured here for events like Black Friday or The Holidays, so be prepared!). There are those rolling stuffed animals for kids and a play area as well so that you can drop them off (is that a thing) while you shop. You have your big department stores on each end and then there's Von Maur. I love that Yang-Kee Noodle is attached to the mall because it's a nice local place that you can get some Asian inspired nosh on. The downside is the mall is meant for a group of people that are inherently richer than you are, no matter what you tell them and it makes for some dirty looks when you have blue hair (sometimes). Also most of the reason I come here is because myself or the boy is having problems with a phone or computer and waiting to be seen by an Apple Genius can be a pain due to the high volume of people who clutter the store playing with the gadgets (I'm one of the clutter bugs, so I'm also a hypocrite). Overall when I come to Oxmoor Mall it's not to browse what they have to offer because I have a goal in mind, whether that's the dreaded wait mentioned above, getting some new threads or a pumpkin spice latte. As others have said, I will add that I hate going to the mall. However, I much prefer Oxmoor to St. Matthews as the layout to St. Matthews is just too much to deal with and it feels like it takes a week to get from one side of the mall to the other. I also really like the recent updates they've made to the mall. The open air space in the middle is pleasant, and I'm ECSTATIC about the new H&M. I'm excited to see some of the continued changes that will occur, especially in the way of dining. read more

I like Oxmoor Center a lot. We tend to frequent this mall, as opposed to Mall St. Matthews, because it's smaller and usually less crowded. Especially since the construction, added stores, and, basically, overhaul of the facility this past year, Oxmoor Center is really great. We really only ever go over to Mall St. Matthews if we need something from a store there that Oxmoor doesn't have, which unfortunately due to its smaller size happens from time to time. Oxmoor Center contains most of the usual stores; Old Navy, Macy's, Sephora, Fossil, Victoria's Secret, The Disney Store, Dick's, Bath & Body Works, etc. The addition of Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Lululemon, Madewell, H&M and other stores have really made Oxmoor Center a much nicer mall. You can just as easily stop here, rather than going over to the larger mall, and get anything you may need. My favorite part of Oxmoor Center is that it doesn't include the typical mall food court for dining options, instead it includes the absolutely delicious, and locally owned, Yang Kee Noodle restaurant; along with several other dining options including the typical Auntie Anne's Pretzels and the atypical sushi bar, Rice. If none of that interests you there's also a Panera Bread, California Pizza Kitchen, Bj's Restaurant & Brewery, etc. There's basically something for everyone rather than three Chinese restaurants and a pizza place. I definitely recommend Oxmoor Center for your shopping needs. read more

Saved me $3500 over Jeff Wyler Toyota in Clarksville! You have to watch everything you are told and make sure the papers you sign coinside. Also....Call your insurance agent to see what their gap insurance will cost you. My agent quoted me $44 a year....total for 3 years $132. Toyota was going to charge $600. They did take it out at Oxmoor. I appreciated that. The deal went quicker and they did was much more advantageous to me and I was VERY satisfied with my deal. I came over to Oxmoor 10 years ago and made a better deal and the Service Department was much quicker and easy to deal with. Oxmoor is a rear dealership! read more
