Mai Tai and Huckleberry Lemon Drop Martini

This was our second visit to Oyhut Bay Grill and it was just as wonderful as the first. They sat us in the bar for a Saturday brunch hour, and we had the sweetest most bubbly waitress named Julia. She was super helpful in answering all of our questions, and understanding our request to wait 15 minutes after the delivery of our appetizers to put in our food order. We started off with a drink and oysters on the half shell which were absolutely amazing. We then had our brunch. I ordered the toast trio which was super delicious and hit the spot perfectly. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak. He raved about the sausage gravy and really enjoyed the chicken fried steak. He ordered poached eggs with the backup of sunny side in case they didn't do poached. They don't do poached eggs, so he did enjoy the sunny sides. We enjoyed a Mai Tai and a Huckleberry Lemon Drop mMartini, and both were perfect made and super delicious. This place will become a permanent go to place for us. I only wish they had a restaurant in Montesano or Aberdeen so we could enjoy the offerings more often. If you've ever wondered about Oyhut Bay Grill, wonder no more, it's fabulous!

This review is only for the food. Everything else was amazing! I believe Max was our waiter and he was so kind and attentive. He told us he was new and learning and I thought he was just amazing. My friend got the pepperoni pizza which he said he really liked. I got the pan seared scallops as I heard they were delicious! The rice pilaf and green beans were superb. The scallops, although had wonderful flavor...were very much undercooked. Yes, I know you are not supposed to cook them long. I cut it open and it was translucent looking and I have had many scallops before. It was very difficult for me to eat them because of the texture it gave off. I also know you can eat scallops raw. However, if you are not expecting them raw and want them cooked I was not ready for that texture. Everything was wonderful do not get me wrong, it was just this time the scallops did not work out but I will always still come back!

My wife and I are from Everett WA. We stayed at one of the hotels on the beach and went for a drive, we happened upon Oyhut Bay Grill and so glad we did. The dining room was small and intimate. The service was awesome; the food and drinks were amazing. I have recommended this place to all my coworkers that are headed to Ocean Shores in the next few weeks. We are also headed back for another stay soon and will eat there again. Thank You the Longs from Everett

april 11th, 2026…read more honestly, i was hesitant to come here at first due to the mixed recent reviews, but during a week-long stay in ocean shores, ocean beach roasters became our go-to place for coffee and breakfast. i don't have photos of everything we ordered (sorry! i wasn't initially planning on writing a review). over the course of a few visits, we ordered the sockeye benedict, country hash, G.O.A.T., brunch burger, turkey croissant, and eggs benedict. we also got the seasonal fruit, cottage potatoes, tim's salted potato chips, sausage patties, side toast, and cookie. as a warning to others, the main thing we DID NOT LIKE was the seasonal fruit extra/add-on because it was $4 for literally 5 pieces of fruit. we were disappointed about the quantity and think this should just be taken off the menu as i don't think anyone would want to pay this price for that little amount of fruit. however, the rest of our food and experiences was enjoyable, so we're able to look past this. i can see why some people would think the service can take some time, but there are usually only 1-2 people working the floor. so yeah, it's going to take some time, especially when it's busy. pls have some patience and communicate w the staff if you need anything. the employees were always nice, welcoming, and hospitable every time we came, especially greta (hopefully that is her name!!!). we were helped by her every time we came in. my friend rly admired her work ethic (called her a hustler) as she was always doing something, whether it was cleaning, taking an order, serving food, making coffee, etc. all the staff was great. we mostly interacted with the women who work here, but were assisted by greta the most so we always looked forward to seeing her :) i made a joke to my friend that when i ordered the G.O.A.T., i'm surprised greta didn't come with my order. as for the food, we rly liked a lot of it. both of the eggs benedicts were better than some of the ones i have had in seattle, so i was pleasantly surprised. the english muffins were toasted deliciously, the hollandaise sauce was a good consistency and flavor, and the eggs were poached well and runny. the croissant for my turkey croissant was flaky and airy mmm my friend wants to get this the next time he's here! i appreciate the variety of the menu for both food and coffee. it was hard for me to decide what to eat every time because i wanted to try a lot of the menu!!! i also appreciate how many sauces they have as condiments. they have a whole wall shelf of different sauces (i was excited to see the yellowbird sriracha hot sauce). as for the coffee, i think it's ok lol. it's fine to get just to get but after i tried the specialty drinks they had at the time (the lucky charm latte and nutty irishman cold brew) i didn't want anything else. they had a lot of syrups though!! which i like as a sweet coffee girlie. overall, my friend and i enjoyed every visit we made to this establishment and would 100% recommend it to everyone, both visiting and local. my friend's review: Service is amazing. They had good oatmeal raisin cookies. The coffee is alright. Good amount of options on the menu, not too many, which is nice. Food is fresh. Greta is the GOAT. She's a very hard worker. The bathroom is clean. The blue agave Siracha is good. The eggs benedict is good. Nice interior. They have the best ice, crushed ice

The only thing that was lacking was Air Hockey. The service here was great. All of the staff here were nice and friendly. Service with a smile. Absolutely no complaints in this department. They have Pay By The Ounce Self Serve Beer Buy in the 21+ area. They have a good selection of beer on tap. With plenty of clean glasses to use. Like any Self Serve Beer Bar the selection is hit or miss by taste. You will have to let them hold your card on a Tab because it's Pay As You Go. Just follow the directions on the drink card to serve. We had an Anti-Pasta Salad. There was enough to share for two people. However, it was very much lacking in the vegetable department. The meats.... It was just out of the package Oscar Meyer. It was a waste of money for the price. We ordered two 8 inch personal pizza. I had the Pizza Factory Special and my wife had a Sausage and Mushroom. The pizza was quite good. They looked good too. I would just come here for the Pizza and Beer. I would skip the Salad. On a side note they do have a Salad Bar. However, the Salad Bar had virtually no selection and is tiny. That too was not worth the money. I will come here again. Just not for the Salads.

The toast on the plates were hard yet not overly toasted. The gravy and the potatoes were the best part of all 3 meals. Let me say, the omelet was smaller than the toast in comparison. The waitress abandoned ship and slid off the radar... we had to ask another matey to refill the coffee and he did so very promptly! He was the better part of the experience. At Bennett's they have both cod and halibut. Unfortunately for me they only batter their cod and if you want halibut you have to have panko crumbed. The person behind the counter where you order said they prep ahead and they couldn't put the batter on halibut. I also just wanted water as that's my favorite beverage. She told me I couldn't have a regular glass of water with ice. I had to buy it in a bottle with their name printed on the label. It felt like a way to wring yet more money out of their customers. I much prefer generosity to stinginess. It just put me off from the beginning. The cod was fine. But unlike most restaurants when you get fish & chips, there was no coleslaw. All that was on my plate was part of a limp lettuce leaf for a poor excuse of a garnish. We had 2 veggie wraps and a fish sandwich in our party as well. Everybody liked their food well enough. My daughter really liked her fish sandwich. I eat out a lot and Bennett's cutting corners and lack of generosity is unlike the vast majority of restaurants I've been to. I have no desire to return. My mother-in-law lives in Ocean Shores and had suggested the Thai place. Guess we'll go there next time.

A much needed ocean therapy was calling my name and I drove west. Ended up in Ocean Shores. I left my town due to how crazy busy it would be with parades and a carnival, not knowing what's in store here. A pleasant surprise to see the streets lined with families. Anyway, got to shop, enjoy the festivities, and more importantly spend time walking the beach. Gorgeous day! Which led me to try something new and ended up here at the Garage. The atmosphere here was electric with Mariners on a screen over the bar and the FIFA World Cup games on the other screen. Love the open patio area, where a cooling breeze can be felt all throughout the Garage. They were a bit busy, so it took a minute to greet me, but at least I was able to find a table. I ended up ordering their Fish & Chips, and a cup of their chowda! DAMN!!! That's a mighty fine cup of chowda! And the baked buttered crips was spot on. Never had it that way (just the usual soft sourdough or oyster crackers) but them sliced crisps were perfect and I'm going to have to try serving it that way at home. I started out with the Hot Honey Old Fashioned, and surprisingly, there was some heat. Thoroughly enjoyed it! The Fish & Chips were breaded a bit differently. Reminds me of the cornmeal you'd find in the south with fried catfish and what not. The cod was flaky and perfect. It came with three pieces and it was just right. The fries complimented it well. The tarter was legit. Not the standard white sauce, but seemed to have a hint of dill in it. All in all, a great experience for my first time. The staff was busy, but they ensured I was tended to. As always, enjoy and Happy Ocean Therapy!!
