I recently ordered via Door Dash from here, and there's either a new chef or new manager running the place. The food quality has improved a great deal since I was last here a few years ago. I ordered the seafood fettuccine, cheese curds and Brussels sprouts. The serving sizes of the pasta and sprouts was for 2 people. I inhaled the pasta dish, so incredibly tasty. The seafood was fresh, and there was just one small hard bit of clam shell but that happens when serving them on the shell. Jumbo shrimp wasn't expected and seemed to have been swimming that morning. Tasty salmon. Divine sauce, which I don't think I've ever thought of an Alfredo before. Quality cheese. The sprouts were roasted/blackened, and tasted great. A bit of fried onions, I think, sprinkled on top that I just ate around (just not for me). Cheese curds were still hot and fresh with marinara and a BBQ sauce I added. This was extremely disappointing. The long wait was absolutely not worth it. I've been to this place a few times before, but I definitely won't be coming back again. The service seemed friendly overall, but there were moments that said otherwise. When a glass of water was spilled right in front of the server, she didn't offer any extra napkins or help clean the table. My pasta was worse than Domino's. I didn't even take it to go -- it was completely bland, and the shrimp were tough. My aunt ordered fish with vegetables, and the carrots were clearly burnt. At first, I thought maybe it was some kind of preparation style I didn't understand, but no -- they were simply burnt. Honestly, it's especially disappointing because I had recommended this place to my friends before. I live a few hours away and came here partly for good food, but even being very hungry after the long wait didn't make the meal any better. The oysters were also flavorless. We have been several times and continue to rave! Daughters from California can't wait to come back for Ahi Tuna and Cranberry Pecan Bleu cheese salad. We had the Turkey Pesto Sandwich and it was delicious. Chicken Artichoke Alfredo Pizza was fantastic and my granddaughter who only eats pepperoni and cheese loved it! Food was fresh and tasty and the servers were running around as they were very busy but were communicative with us, letting us know they would be with us soon, and you could tell they were working hard to keep up with demand. This was our second visit to Oyhut Bay Grill and it was just as wonderful as the first. They sat us in the bar for a Saturday brunch hour, and we had the sweetest most bubbly waitress named Julia. She was super helpful in answering all of our questions, and understanding our request to wait 15 minutes after the delivery of our appetizers to put in our food order. We started off with a drink and oysters on the half shell which were absolutely amazing. We then had our brunch. I ordered the toast trio which was super delicious and hit the spot perfectly. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak. He raved about the sausage gravy and really enjoyed the chicken fried steak. He ordered poached eggs with the backup of sunny side in case they didn't do poached. They don't do poached eggs, so he did enjoy the sunny sides. We enjoyed a Mai Tai and a Huckleberry Lemon Drop mMartini, and both were perfect made and super delicious. This place will become a permanent go to place for us. The food is not the same! My peanut butter cheddar burger was made with a frozen patty and a slab of peanut butter. Not the same as what it use to be. I always use to refer people here,but the food is disgusting now including the calamari. When I called to ask about the changes she laughed at me, and asked what do you want honey! On June 2nd 2026 i went to this place and unfortunately did not experience a good service. We ordered the three tacos for taco Tuesday and it ended up very disappointing, and took exactly 1 hr and 25 minutes to even get this food. A full family table got there food before us and we are only a party of three, the ambiance was very dirty including flys around the area due to them serving outside. The price was highly outrageous for food tthat wasn't even that good. I do not recommend this place if you are in Ocean shores WA. Not worth the trouble read more

My friend got the pepperoni pizza which he said he really liked. I got the pan seared scallops as I heard they were delicious! The rice pilaf and green beans were superb. The scallops, although had wonderful flavor...were very much undercooked. Yes, I know you are not supposed to cook them long. I cut it open and it was translucent looking and I have had many scallops before. It was very difficult for me to eat them because of the texture it gave off. I also know you can eat scallops raw. However, if you are not expecting them raw and want them cooked I was not ready for that texture. My wife and I are from Everett WA. We stayed at one of the hotels on the beach and went for a drive, we happened upon Oyhut Bay Grill and so glad we did. The dining room was small and intimate. The service was awesome; the food and drinks were amazing. I have recommended this place to all my coworkers that are headed to Ocean Shores in the next few weeks. Best restaurant in Ocean Shores , WA. I had the early bird panko coated, pan cooked Halibut with a side salad. The halibut was perfectly cooked and was so fresh. The salad was spring mixed greens with tomatoes and pecans, an excellent co. My partner had the toasted club with a side of tator tots. The sandwich was very tasty and hugh. In my search for unusual, out-of-the-way places, I found Oyhut Bay Grill by poking around on Google Maps, and after checking out the pictures and the menu, I resolved that at some point, I would bring my wife and toddler son here, as both of them are seafood fanatics (whereas I am not). Hilariously, due to a combination of random occurrences throughout the day, neither of us were particularly hungry, and the only person who ordered anything from the sea would be me, and a bowl of clam chowder; my wife would end up ordering the pork belly instead. Both were excellent! Our server, a tattooed, dreadlocked gentleman whose name I shamefully failed to note, was spectacular: timely, attentive, friendly, welcoming and warm. The host up front? Cold, emotionless, and seemingly irritated by and about everything: not a great representative of this otherwise stellar establishment. Interior décor is classy and charming, with several art pieces that also can be found on the walls in our house! Live music could be heard from the adjacent bar, just around the corner, which added to the already appealing ambiance. Oyhut Bay Grill is a shining star, and a fitting addition, to the seaside village community of the same name. It's definitely worth a detour and a visit, even if you're not staying in one of the rentals. read more

Came here for the first time tonight. We are staying at the resort and it was recommended by our reservation to try it out. Boy am I glad we did! When we arrived we were taken upstairs where there was live music and comfortable seating. Our waitress was attentive and when our starters, clam chowder, arrived, they were piping hot and stuffed full of clams and veg. I'm a pepper lover so I did add some of that to it, but otherwise it was perfectly seasoned. Our meals arrived and my husband got their house burger, which was seasoned well and cooked to the temperature he likes. It was delicious! I ordered the Mac & cheese with Carne Asada added and it was severed in a skillet. It was fresh out of the oven and I had to blow on it so much as it was nearly scalding. This is the second time I've eaten their food when visiting. It is beautiful and well presented. Staff are friendly. My sense is that they were a little understaffed and their staff could use a tiny bit more training. Examples: bartender was slow and inefficient, running our cards was slow, the servers should let people know baked potatoes come loaded. We love visiting Oyhut Grill when we are in town. Seating: They have outdoor covered tables and some are covered and have gas fire in the middle. They have downstairs and upstairs seating. And they have high chairs for kids. Service: has always been wonderful and our server also made our drinks. Was very attentive and knowledgeable about gluten free food accommodations. Food and drinks: we had two burgers on gluten free buns, and our sides were fries. Our appetizer was fried calamari. Fried food can be cooked in a dedicated gluten free fryer. We had two cocktails and two glasses of wine. Food is a bit pricey but we always enjoy the food and knowing the risk for cross contamination is very low. Would recommend eating here when in the area. Parking: there is a small parking lot behind restaurant and some street parking. We have never be unable to park close. read more

Oyhut Bay Grill was recommended by three people. We were told it was a cut above most of the resturants in the Ocean Shore area. We were seated on the second floor in what appeared to be the bars overflow area. A high bar table with no view packed into a small area with about 8 other tables full of customers. The greeter told us they just got a 6:30 rush of customers and they were slammed. Our waitress, Jeni, eventually got to us and took a drink order. She was very busy. We eventually got our food and it was OK. We were there for almost two hours. As we were leaving I was stopped by Jeni and she said I needed to show her my receipt and sign it. I was confused as I had paid cash, $100.00 bill, and had given her a 20% cash tip. I started to look for my receipt as people were behind me. Jeni said I was leaving without paying the bill. I told her I paid with a $100,00 bill and she was incorrect. Then she remembered and apologized. That was a problem with me. The other problem was being seated in the bar area at high tables that became very uncomfortable after two hours when there was a resturant setting area with low tables, lots of windows with views that was not being used, 10 feet away. Great food, great service. Low key and delicious. We are vacation for the week and found this place the first night. Today was our second visit and we will probably go again. Had the ribeye the first night. We have had slightly better cuts of meat, but the cooking was perfect and completely delicious. Tonight we had the halibut, Mac&cheese with pork belly, calamari and tater tots. All were amazing. Pork belly was piled high on the Mac and cheese and it was delicious. The tater tots were perfect. Halibut was juicy and delicious unlike one we had from another place the day before. The slightly not perfect. The drinks were good but our expectations have been raised. We had a girls getaway this weekend staying at our friends beach house. We are here every year, several of the ladies have been ti this place, and we're pleased in the past. One of my friends raved about the seared scallops so that's what I ordered. The others they ordered ahi, salmon, ribeye, shrimp and pasta. As an elite yelper I've have also listened to the other elite Yelpers on here, and I couldn't wait to try this place. All of us were looking forward to our dinner. I think my opinion the best thing was the pretzel. First the Manila clams tasted off. Pretty bitter. We didn't complain we just ate it. The bread that it came with was pretty good. Then my scallops seems strange, I had other try it just in case it was just me. We all felt that it was not fresh, and the sear seemed more burnt that seared. Total disappointment, but again I didn't complain. One of the gals got the blackened ahi(I forgot to take a photo). Even though she said she wanted it more well than raw, it came raw. They rectified it, and she felt it it was to her liking. But the biggest blunder that we did complain about was one of the gals ordered the salmon more well than raw, with blueberry reduction on the side. It arrived raw, and Molly our server agreed, and noticed it was too raw. I as a sushi eater would eat it, but some people just can't stomach it. It took a while for them to bring her a new more cooked salmon. We were all pretty much finished with our entree by the time hers came. But when arrived who were cooked it poured on the salt that it was inedible. We all decided to take a taste and her daughter had to spit it out it was so salty. She basically didn't get to eat anything. Except the "mash potatoes" they gave a couple of us because our rice pilaf was so spicy we could not eat it. So three of us asked for the "mash potatoes" that looked like they just masked a baked potato and served it to us. It was so dry, and not creamy at all. Not sure what they put in three of our rice pilafs? Jalapeño? One of the reviews on Yelp said it was spicy for them too, but their server said it's not known to be spicy. I guess we aren't the only ones. We kept telling Molly it's not her fault, she's not the one who cooks our meals, but she was ok, I'm pretty sure she was really busy today, but she needs to be a little more over the top in service due to all the mishaps. As a foodie, I don't think I could come back to this establishment since I can just travel around the find the best of the same things we were just served. Place was cute, a quaint community, and the host was friendly enough. Now after the questionably seafood I ate tonight, I'm really hoping I won't be sick in the morning. Do better...hopefully it was just an off night. We decided to get dessert elsewhere. read more
