I've never posted a review before but after the breakfast I just ate, I had to post. Breakfast is pretty generic wherever you go so I was just looking for some eggs and potatoes. I decided to try something a little different, so I ordered the chilaquiles and was blown away. It had home fries on the side, nice slices of avocado on top, two fried eggs done exactly as I ordered and sour cream across all of it. They didn't just have grapefruit juice, which I love but they squeezed it fresh for me! To top it all off, I got to sit outside in the sun! read more

I recently ordered via Door Dash from here, and there's either a new chef or new manager running the place. The food quality has improved a great deal since I was last here a few years ago. I ordered the seafood fettuccine, cheese curds and Brussels sprouts. The serving sizes of the pasta and sprouts was for 2 people. I inhaled the pasta dish, so incredibly tasty. The seafood was fresh, and there was just one small hard bit of clam shell but that happens when serving them on the shell. Jumbo shrimp wasn't expected and seemed to have been swimming that morning. Tasty salmon. Divine sauce, which I don't think I've ever thought of an Alfredo before. Quality cheese. The sprouts were roasted/blackened, and tasted great. A bit of fried onions, I think, sprinkled on top that I just ate around (just not for me). Cheese curds were still hot and fresh with marinara and a BBQ sauce I added. This was extremely disappointing. The long wait was absolutely not worth it. I've been to this place a few times before, but I definitely won't be coming back again. The service seemed friendly overall, but there were moments that said otherwise. When a glass of water was spilled right in front of the server, she didn't offer any extra napkins or help clean the table. My pasta was worse than Domino's. I didn't even take it to go -- it was completely bland, and the shrimp were tough. My aunt ordered fish with vegetables, and the carrots were clearly burnt. At first, I thought maybe it was some kind of preparation style I didn't understand, but no -- they were simply burnt. Honestly, it's especially disappointing because I had recommended this place to my friends before. I live a few hours away and came here partly for good food, but even being very hungry after the long wait didn't make the meal any better. The oysters were also flavorless. On top of that, I didn't feel well after dinner and had stomach pain. I can't say for sure it was caused by the food, but it definitely added to the negative experience. read more

Oyhut Bay Grill - House salad with champagne vinaigrette was delicious! Fresh and flavorful. - Salad Near Me - Ocean Shores, Washington

The food here is prepared well, but I found it a bit bland (lack of some simple seasoning). I ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly, the vegetables, however, were merely decent, and the blue berry sauce was a complete mystery to me ... it really did nothing to enhance the dish, especially the presentation. The sauce in my dish covered the bottom of the plate and was dried out along the edges. That being said, if the salmon had come out all by itself, I think I would have been just as happy. The clam chowder was like eating lumpy pudding, it really needed more hot water to thin it out a little, but still it was fine. The service was good, the restaurant area where we were seated was more of a lounge (high table and seats next to the bar). The prices were reasonable for being located in Ocean Shores ... and also for being about the "only nice" dining out experience left in town. All in all, we still enjoyed dinning here and based on past reviews, I am going to assume we may have been there on an off-night for them. read more

We came here for lunch on a weekday, there were only a couple other tables with people at them. When asked where we wanted to be seated, we chose outside since it was a nice day. They sat us down and we waited and waited. After about 10 minutes, the waitress finally came out and brought us water and menus. Around 15 minutes later, she returned and took our order. My wife ordered a ham sandwich and a cup of chowder and I ordered the calamari. And then we waited and waited and waited again. 45 minutes later, our food finally came out. My wife's sandwich was very good. The clam chowder only had one clam in it that she could find and was chunky and not smooth. My calamari was cold. So I waited for her to come back. After 10 minutes I got up, went inside and told her that my calamari was cold and I wanted a new plate of calamari. After another 20 minutes, my calamari came back. The chef must've been upset that I asked for a new plate. Because it came as a big clump and not separated, like the first order. When I separated the calamari, the inside coating was still raw and uncooked. So I had a few pieces that were on the outside and that was it. The waitress never came back and asked how it was. We had to flag her down to get our check. It was very sad because we came here a couple years ago and everything was excellent. We will not be coming back again. there was another couple that sat down behind Behind Us and had waited 20 minutes for someone to come and take their order. When we paid for our bill, the gentleman told the waitress they have five more minutes to serve their food or they're walking. They had been waiting over 35 minutes for their food after they ordered as well. So sad it has went downhill at least on this day. read more

We have been several times and continue to rave! Daughters from California can't wait to come back for Ahi Tuna and Cranberry Pecan Bleu cheese salad. We had the Turkey Pesto Sandwich and it was delicious. Chicken Artichoke Alfredo Pizza was fantastic and my granddaughter who only eats pepperoni and cheese loved it! This was our second visit to Oyhut Bay Grill and it was just as wonderful as the first. They sat us in the bar for a Saturday brunch hour, and we had the sweetest most bubbly waitress named Julia. She was super helpful in answering all of our questions, and understanding our request to wait 15 minutes after the delivery of our appetizers to put in our food order. We started off with a drink and oysters on the half shell which were absolutely amazing. We then had our brunch. I ordered the toast trio which was super delicious and hit the spot perfectly. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak. He raved about the sausage gravy and really enjoyed the chicken fried steak. He ordered poached eggs with the backup of sunny side in case they didn't do poached. They don't do poached eggs, so he did enjoy the sunny sides. We enjoyed a Mai Tai and a Huckleberry Lemon Drop mMartini, and both were perfect made and super delicious. This place will become a permanent go to place for us. I only wish they had a restaurant in Montesano or Aberdeen so we could enjoy the offerings more often. If you've ever wondered about Oyhut Bay Grill, wonder no more, it's fabulous! read more

The only good thing I have to say is the young man who was the host was amazing. Kind, accommodating, and a pleasure to talk to. Now on to the table service. When we first sat down our waiter (a man) was nice in the beginning. Told us it was going to be a very long wait on the food (45 mins) and apologize many times. No problem. We order 2 rib eye steaks. One medium and one medium well. The waiter brought our food, came back seconds later asked how everything was, we told him fine and we didn't see him again. We cut into our steaks and both were overcooked and tuff. We could not eat them. When the waiter came back we tried to tell him the steaks were overcooked and tuff. Not complaining, as we were paying and leaving. And his response was, "Why didn't you tell me, I asked if everything was alright, I don't cook the steaks, there's nothing I can do about it now". no one asked him to do anything but pass on the info, he never came back to the table to ask if the steaks were ok, and we were not about to wait another hour for them to cook more steaks. Went with my girlfriend and another couple. We tried to get a cocktail at the downstairs bar and were redirected to the up stairs bar while we waited for our table. As we were waiting at the bar one of the staff/server walked by us with a tray of food and commenced to telling us he needed us out of the way and to go back downstairs!!! I have NEVER been treated so poorly by IGNORANT, RUDE, and obviously mis managed children in all my life!! Definitely do not recommend this place! Male hostess on Friday 7/3 at 12:15pm was extremely rude to us because we had just purchased coffee drinks at the Oyhut Market and he said they weren't allowed, he wasn't kind about it at all, apparently they don't want some people's business. The food is not the same! My peanut butter cheddar burger was made with a frozen patty and a slab of peanut butter. Not the same as what it use to be. I always use to refer people here,but the food is disgusting now including the calamari. When I called to ask about the changes she laughed at me, and asked what do you want honey! On June 2nd 2026 i went to this place and unfortunately did not experience a good service. We ordered the three tacos for taco Tuesday and it ended up very disappointing, and took exactly 1 hr and 25 minutes to even get this food. A full family table got there food before us and we are only a party of three, the ambiance was very dirty including flys around the area due to them serving outside. It is a very small restaurant, but we were able to get a table right away. Even though it is small, the ambiance is soft and cozy and we didn't feel like the other tables were too close. The food was good. This is a sit down restaurant, so it was not fast food, but we expected that. It was a delicious meal and our server was very attentive. read more

This review is only for the food. Everything else was amazing! I believe Max was our waiter and he was so kind and attentive. He told us he was new and learning and I thought he was just amazing. My friend got the pepperoni pizza which he said he really liked. I got the pan seared scallops as I heard they were delicious! The rice pilaf and green beans were superb. The scallops, although had wonderful flavor...were very much undercooked. Yes, I know you are not supposed to cook them long. I cut it open and it was translucent looking and I have had many scallops before. It was very difficult for me to eat them because of the texture it gave off. I also know you can eat scallops raw. However, if you are not expecting them raw and want them cooked I was not ready for that texture. In my search for unusual, out-of-the-way places, I found Oyhut Bay Grill by poking around on Google Maps, and after checking out the pictures and the menu, I resolved that at some point, I would bring my wife and toddler son here, as both of them are seafood fanatics (whereas I am not). Hilariously, due to a combination of random occurrences throughout the day, neither of us were particularly hungry, and the only person who ordered anything from the sea would be me, and a bowl of clam chowder; my wife would end up ordering the pork belly instead. Both were excellent! Our server, a tattooed, dreadlocked gentleman whose name I shamefully failed to note, was spectacular: timely, attentive, friendly, welcoming and warm. The host up front? Cold, emotionless, and seemingly irritated by and about everything: not a great representative of this otherwise stellar establishment. Interior décor is classy and charming, with several art pieces that also can be found on the walls in our house! Live music could be heard from the adjacent bar, just around the corner, which added to the already appealing ambiance. Oyhut Bay Grill is a shining star, and a fitting addition, to the seaside village community of the same name. It's definitely worth a detour and a visit, even if you're not staying in one of the rentals. read more

A unique display of the restaurant. When you first enter, it's the kitchen where you can see the chefs and staff in action! When the hostess leads you upstairs, you're met with a dim lit classy ambience on the second floor. The staff have to shout "corner" everytime they exit to go downstairs or around... Our waitress was super friendly! Of course, expect to pay quite a bit with your meal. It's small/medium size portions. I LOVE scallops and haven't had any in a real long time! The pan seared scallops dish, was amazing. The scallops cooked to perfection! My bf had the salmon with a blueberry sauce on top. We both had the rice pilaf and asked the waitress how it had the kick in it, meaning spice and she said it's not known to have spice in it! Well, we liked it anyway! My wife and I are from Everett WA. We stayed at one of the hotels on the beach and went for a drive, we happened upon Oyhut Bay Grill and so glad we did. The dining room was small and intimate. The service was awesome; the food and drinks were amazing. I have recommended this place to all my coworkers that are headed to Ocean Shores in the next few weeks. We love visiting Oyhut Grill when we are in town. Seating: They have outdoor covered tables and some are covered and have gas fire in the middle. They have downstairs and upstairs seating. And they have high chairs for kids. Service: has always been wonderful and our server also made our drinks. Was very attentive and knowledgeable about gluten free food accommodations. Food and drinks: we had two burgers on gluten free buns, and our sides were fries. Our appetizer was fried calamari. Fried food can be cooked in a dedicated gluten free fryer. We had two cocktails and two glasses of wine. Food is a bit pricey but we always enjoy the food and knowing the risk for cross contamination is very low. Would recommend eating here when in the area. Came here for the first time tonight. We are staying at the resort and it was recommended by our reservation to try it out. Boy am I glad we did! When we arrived we were taken upstairs where there was live music and comfortable seating. Our waitress was attentive and when our starters, clam chowder, arrived, they were piping hot and stuffed full of clams and veg. I'm a pepper lover so I did add some of that to it, but otherwise it was perfectly seasoned. Our meals arrived and my husband got their house burger, which was seasoned well and cooked to the temperature he likes. It was delicious! I ordered the Mac & cheese with Carne Asada added and it was severed in a skillet. It was fresh out of the oven and I had to blow on it so much as it was nearly scalding. This is the second time I've eaten their food when visiting. It is beautiful and well presented. Staff are friendly. My sense is that they were a little understaffed and their staff could use a tiny bit more training. Examples: bartender was slow and inefficient, running our cards was slow, the servers should let people know baked potatoes come loaded. All of these are tiny things, but tuning them up would turn a good place into a great place. All of these things said, it is still a wonderful restaurant. read more
