NIGHTMARE NOTE: Today is NOV 4 2021, THREE WEEKS, and he STILL has my truck he made non-operable! WED OCT 13 2021 Took my 2001 Nissan Frontier with only 139K miles, in for an inspection and diagnosis of check engine light problem. It was in EXCELLENT mechanical condition except for the check engine light. FRI OCT 15 Went to pick it up and was told by Mustafa Ozden it required an $1800 repair to get the light to stay off. I told him not to do the repair and that I would just take it. From the second I drove it out of the shop, the truck would lunge and pause repeatedly, like a bucking bronco, and cut off in traffic. I drove it back into the garage, just a few hundred yards away. After Mustafa tested it and validated the problem, I left the truck there. TUE OCT 19 Mustafa Ozden called and told me it was fixed. When I called back to tell him I was on my way, he said it still wasn't fixed. FRIDAY OCT 24 He has had my truck for a diagnostic for over almost two weeks and claims he doesn't know what he did wrong. No phone calls or updates from him! Steve H. read more

I went in there for a smog check owner charged me $150 for the smog after my car didn't pass he then told me it will be an extra $220 for diagnosing the truck so I left my truck there for 3 days then when I came back for the results he wanted to get over on me with $2100 bill that included brakes and rotors?? Seems to me he saw his opportunity to get over on me Waste of my time and money .Never Doing Business Here again! read more

I notice my bad reviews keep getting removed! On OCTOBER 11, 2021, I took my truck to Ozden for a diagnostic to determine the cause of its eternally-on check engine light. It was in excellent mechanical condition. The truck hasn't been drivable since (lunge/pause... lunge/cut off...lunge...). Today is DECEMBER 14. I've been without my vehicle for over 2 months! Although Mustafa Ozden is making an attempt to fix whatever it is he broke, I'm still grounded. THIS IS SO WRONG AND UNETHICAL! I'm an artist and need my truck. Was told that some may take upto an hour, had me out of there in 25 mins. Instead of just doing the inspection and letting me leave, mechanic recommended I get new brakes sometime soon. After going to one place where tech basically told me your vehicle is old (1995), plus tires are wet, afraid it will slip, so he wouldn't do it, plus any vehicle older than 1999. I went to another place, but unfortunately it wasn't STAR certified. But 3rd times a charm, found this place! So first time going to this location and my first time taking our vehicle in for a smog. So glad I found it. The tech, Richard, had no problem doing the smog check. He basically said first place I took it, the tech was just lazy, didn't want to take the extra time on my vehicle. I went here for a smog check on my 97 Corolla. Supposed to be $49.75 plus $8.25 for certification. Took about 15mins. The technician told me my car failed the test because of some "problem" related to RPMs and that they needed an hour to inspect my vehicle. That would cost $95 for labor and then if any other problems needed to be fixed, that would cost extra. I had a bad feeling about this so I told them no thanks. They said I had to pay $49.75 even though my car "failed" the smog test. I went to another smog test shop 5mins from here and my car passed. Happily paid $69. Will never go to Ozden Auto Service ever again. read more

I took my car to Order Auto Repair to have them do some work. The customer service was very poor along with quality of work. They tried to get me to spend more money then necessary. I do not recommend them. read more

My car got minorly rear ended and bc it's a 20 year old honda it was totalled. Ozden did a brake and lamp inspection. Did me the courtesy to tell me it a cracked tail light would make it fail so I could go fix it before the official test. Cheaper than the shops in Berkeley, relatively efficient and open on Saturday. read more

Ozden went above and beyond in terms of service. It gets harder and harder to scratch out a living here in the bay area, everyday we get squeezed financially, a death by a thousand cuts. Awesome fast service, I went in for a smog and I was in and out in less then 15, super affordable smog. $31.75 + 8.25 certification. Total of $40 the only thing is I don't know if they do free retest but luckily my car passed. They don't have a huge waiting area but who cares if your only there for a couple of mins. The service here has sunk to new lows. They had my car for a scheduled appointment. It took a day and a half. I go to pick up my car at 6:00 PM Saturday the day after I left it there (at about 2:00 PM on Friday) and he says " I didn't have time to test drive the car". ??????????? After all that (and hundreds of dollars later) the same problem exists.In addition my emergency brake didn't work after they worked on it. Went back the next day and had to wait ANOTHER HOUR for them to fix it. PFFFT! I talked to Ozden about it and he says "I have been in this business for 25 or so years and my experience is if people don't like the service they don't come back." That's his answer.
