My wife and I decided to visit Boulder last Sunday morning during our recent long weekend in Denver. As soon as we found parking near Pearl Street Mall, we knew exactly what we had to do: check Yelp for a great coffee place. Yelp suggested Ozo, so that's where we went. No surprise -- Ozo was excellent. We both got iced mochas with oat milk and vanilla and they were super tasty -- rich, chocolatey, and very flavorful. We liked it so much that we stopped by Ozo again to refuel Monday afternoon on the way back to Denver International Airport after our epic journey through Rocky Mountain National Park and night at the Stanley Hotel. 5 stars! read more

I have never been treated as rudely in an establishment as I was at Ozo. It was my first visit there, and upon entering, I walked past a customer standing several feet from the counter. I passed him so that I could look at the menu and figure out my order ahead of time. The female Ozo employee screamed at me, "there is a line!" She yelled loudly and angrily, and her reaction was completely out of proportion. It should have been clear that I wasn't cutting in line given that I walked directly over to the menu. Even the guy that I walked past apologized for her reaction. After that, I promptly left. What a horrible experience! read more

Pricey and long line but excellent coffee and cheerful service. Predictably hipster and delicious coffee and chai latter. Get the spicier of the two chai options. Not too spicy and very delicious. Great treat after a hike up Chautauqua. Almost like a Boulder Starbucks feel. I'd totally come hang out here and do work on an afternoon if I lived here. 5 stars for sure. read more

We were driving downtown & we came across a quaint coffee shop so we decided to stop in. There's a small outdoor seating area for warmer weather. As you walk in you'll see plenty of tables to the left & more further down. They sell a lot of cups, candies, and other miscellaneous gifts. The young lady at the counter was very friendly & helpful with what mocha to order. I decided on the Mayan & hubby ordered the Stargazer. They were equally delicious! They also sold pastries, desserts & breakfast. Glad we came here! read more

Coffee with a side of butt cheek and a scowl!!! Ordered a cafe au lait..it was great. What wasn't great was the staff I encountered..... she was a blond with a long single braid down the center of her back..... as I waited for my coffee I watched how this staff member dealt with customers. First off, she didn't smile, and scowled constantly. The look on her face seemed like she was smelling something bad. Every customer she dealt with encountered this resting bitch face. Additionally, she was wearing a skort that was so short that her butt cheeks were hanging out. I noticed that the other employees were appropriately dressed... didn't see their but cheeks. Perhaps this staff member needs to smile as she deals with customers, and maybe wear more appropriate clothing. read more

We really like this spot on Pearl St in Boulder. Coffees and teas are excellent and there's a decent selection of pastries. There's a surprising amount of seating and a couple of tables outside at the back. I particularly appreciate that the feature Rishi teas, a very flavorful brand. Overall always a pleasing experience! read more

Trendy coffee shop on Pearl Street and it would be great to people watch while having a cup outside. Got the cold brew and it was a little in the sour side. Baristas we're really nice and they have a lot of unique options on the menu. read more

Wow wow wow, what a great CO local coffee place. I was exploring pearl street on a stop for a road trip and this is where yelp reviews took me. It was moderately busy, but full of friendly and talkative people. The barista was kind and warm, even with a long line. I just ordered black coffee and a cherry danish and it was pretty good. Coffee was average but the friendly and eco friendly vibes made me give it the rating I did. read more

Ozo is a fun little coffee shop located near Boulder's busy Pearl Street shopping district, and a great place to grab some coffee downtown. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. She had the cold brew and a I had a double espresso. Both were great and hit the spot, and we enjoyed them sitting at a table on the sidewalk, which made for great people watching on a nice day. read more

My wife and I were wandering around and decided to stop in. I am always up to trying a new coffee place no matter the time of day. It was just OK. Nothing really stood out. Except for the people camped out with their laptops at every table. The coffee was rather unremarkable and really didn't have a flavor or aroma. Nothing that would invite me to buy any to take home. Sort of what one would expect for free at a work place. My spouse said Chai was watery and left most of it in the cup when we left. There are so many choices around these days. This one just wasn't my cup of tea... ..er ... coffee. read more

This is a great place! I loved spending some time here. My friend and I are just spending the day in Boulder and wanted to find a fun coffee shop to hang at for a bit. This was the perfect spot! Chill vibes and was a great place to read, chat, and work on homework. The employees were really friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and whole shop was clean. The drinks were great. And the bakery food items looked amazing - I'll have to try them next time I come back! This is a great place, definitely recommend! read more

I've had the opportunity to visit Ozo Coffee West a few times this winter. In fact, two times I visited twice in the same day...once before hiking and a return trip after hiking! Ozo is my new favorite Boulder coffee shop. It's a large space, easy to social distance during COVID-19 and excellent coffee beans! Each time I've ordered a dry cappuccino and they've been perfect! My husband used to own a coffee shop in Winter Park, CO and has had both their drip coffee and Americano...loved both! I look forward to my next visit to Boulder and Ozo! read more

The coffee here is suitably addictive for folks looking to get an afternoon buzz in the midst of Boulder. I am not sure I'd go out of my way to make the trek through the tourists on Pearl, but if I was in the area for something else and wanted to get my fix? This place would win my dollars for sure. Tip: come up the alley and go in the back door from the small patio to avoid the crowded "goings on" on Pearl! read more

Super cappucino here. Or maybe it was a latte. Their names are non-conventional compared to other coffee shops. But the 12 oz thing with two shots of espresso and steamed milk. That thing was good. It was made by Kate both times I went there (you can almost see her in the pic). And Ozo has a relaxed, mellow vibe that's perfect for hanging out and doing light work or web browsing. Even though Ozo Coffee is a chain this location does well to stand out as a coffee shop. Ozo has consistently good cold brews and mochas. The cafe also has a great environment if you want to stay and work for a while. The place is well-lit and has plenty of tables from front to back. The music is my favorite part of this location with songs from the Smiths, the Cure, and the Beatles. read more

Pumpkin spice lattes are back! I'm usually a purist when it comes to lattes because then I can really taste the different notes, but there's just something about Ozo's pumpkin spice lattes that I really love. Maybe because it has a healthy dusting of nutmeg and doesn't have a chemical taste like some other pumpkin spice lattes out there? Anyhow, I've tended to get some gentle teasing from the baristas whenever I order this, but it's so worth it. Most of the time when I frequent Ozo, I order a regular latte with whole milk because I like the mellow notes of their espresso. The burritos make for a solid meal, but from my experience, the bagels and pastries aren't as fresh as they could be. This continues to be a great place to get some work done and is one of the coffee shops in my regular rotation. read more

This was my first time at this Ozo location. I loved sitting on the patio sipping my chai tea latte. It was a perfect location to work on my laptop and occasionally people-watch Pearl Street. Ozo has a partly covered patio. Their umbrellas allow you to choose whether or not to be in the sun. There are two options of chai, one is spicer than the other. I went with the less spicy chai which was the sherpa chai. It was was great, but I don't know how it compares to the other. There are definitely pros and cons to coffee shops on Pearl. Pros: fun location, around other amazing shops and restaurants, and cool vibe. Cons: parking. There are paid parking spots right in front of the coffee shop and free 2 hour parking just a few blocks west. If you don't need to drive there, highly recommend other means of transportation. My sole complaint is the wifi connection. They do have private wifi (request the password at the order counter) but their connection is limited. Ozo was full of people working, so I'm guessing the amount of people on their server slowed down the connection. read more

The guy at the front was SO RUDE. I told him i wanted 3 small hot chocolates and he charged me for a medium. I said isn't the small "x.xx?" And he said "fine I'll give you a refund" Didn't take accountability at all and acted like it was our fault. He honestly was just so rude about the whole thing and seemed annoyed we were even there. Hot chocolate was mid, mostly foam. read more

Ok, it is Boulder, right? How fun is a place where all kinds are gathering for some damn fine coffee, comfortable chairs, and a lot of people-watching. Dog-friendly, this place has some size to it which is good, since I visited twice in my short stay in Boulder and it was quite busy each time. I was wearing some swag from another university each visit and got chatted up both times from the very busy Barista who was able to discuss college football while pouring the perfect latte leaf. How's that for a resume bullet? Standout coffee, good vibe and company, GREAT location, what more could you ask from a Pearl Street go-to destination. Go there, say hi to 3 people and spread the love. read more

Insanely amazing coffee and matcha and... mochas! It's my first time in Boulder and this was one of our first stop... my bf and I loved it so much we stopped here 3x in one day lol. I love that they have all options non dairy milk. Hemp, oat... really pleased about this haha. The service of the staff is also really beautiful. Really sweet peeps working at this particular location at least. I had the matcha day 1 with oat and as a matcha enthusiast.. I'm usually quiet not always as impressed and don't expect to be.. but surprised by the matcha here! Day 2 we came back a few times in a day because of their different selections of mocha... lol... caffeine overload but worth it. I can't even remember which ones we got, tried a few... so then decided to purchase their coffee to take back to LA... great coffee... but I unfortunately could not duplicate their mochas from home. Anyway this is a dope ass coffee shop. Thank god it was an intro for me coming to Boulder for my first time. read more

As a work nomad, I roam aimlessly and work from various coffee shops which I refer to as my "Office." Today I'm in Boulder! Who doesn't love to hang out in this amazing city? Ozo is next to where I needed to be so it's my office for the morning. Needing something iced, I opted for the 20 oz. Iced Americano. Go big or go home, right?! It wasn't bitter but was nice and smooth. The barista was very helpful and pleasant to speak with at 8am before caffeine. The space is quite large and plenty of seating with a fair number of outlets available. There is nothing worse than a coffee shop with no outlets! Along with coffee/espresso offerings, the have a pastry case. It's staring at me, taunting me and if it wasn't so busy, I am pretty sure I could hear it calling me... resist Art, resist! There is also a premade sandwich case with other goodies for a quick snack. Anyway, Ozo is a great place to get some work done or meet with people! read more

Cappuccino is delicious. Perfectly done, even with soy milk. Not like many others that give you a latte instead cuz of alternative milk choice. Also had a ginger cookie which was great too. Now let's talk customer service which was appreciated that they welcomed us in with a smile when it was two mins to close on a Sunday evening. Yea, we suck coming in the last min. Established in 2006.

Ozo Coffee was established in 2006. We opened our first cafe on east Arapahoe in Boulder in 2007. In 2009 we began roasting our own specialty coffees and in 2011 opened Ozo Pearl. In 2013 we opened the Ozo Roastery Cafe and in 2016 expanded to Longmont with the opening of our fourth cafe.

The menu was a bit overwhelming, but the barista Evan (from MA so GO Pats) was friendly and patient despite the line. I got the 3 Waves coffee -- espresso with coconut, caramel, and macadamia-nut. Now my new favorite that will be impossible to replicate anywhere but here. Also grabbed the Aloha sandwich -- ham, egg, cheese w/ pineapple and BBQ sauce. Definitely unusual but it works. Outdoor seating w/ fireplace and view of the Flatirons was a nice bonus Fun fact: the name Bad Ass Coffee comes from the donkeys used to carry coffee beans down the steep hills of Hawaiian forests. This is the first shop to open outside the MOXY on the Hill on the plaza attached. It was a sunny, almost spring day and worth the walk for an afternoon treat. My standard for trying a new place to get a feel of their range, is a Cortado, decaf with oat milk. And always, some tasty looking pastry. This was a successful visit. The pastries are baked locally by Dry Storage and the orange cardamom scone was small and a great treat. Much better than humongous scones tend to be, as I think they bake more evenly. It was barely warmed so the frosting would soften and the interior soft and fresh, which enhances the flavors. The Cortado was fine too. Not quite the mellow decaf I have elsewhere every morning but nicely tempered by the oat milk. Some places use too much in their milk portion of the serving and I prefer the perfect balance of them as intended. It was nicely served on a small ceramic tray with a similar sized glass of sparkling water. Seems to be a trend these days in similar coffee shops. The decor is very modern and sleek. Lots of white and gray tile and marble surfaces with industrial duct work up high on the vaulted ceiling. There is also a good selection of teas for those that prefer. The pastry selection is still quite small and will be expanded when the need arises. The staff was helpful and getting to know their shop. I'm sure when they are more practiced and they develop a regular following, they will be able to pick up the pace behind the bar. There are some unusual seating areas which not everyone will be able to use as they require some climbing, like bleachers. I'm sure one. On fall football game days, they will fill up with agile young people and they will need far more baristas in place.
