The explanation literally only took about seven seconds before he cut me off to say, So what can I actually help you with today? with a sarcastic smile on his face. And I said, This is what you can help me with. I'm just giving a short little backstory. Mind you, there was no one in the store. He wasn't busy at all. And he proceeded to ask me what I needed help with and be super condescending and say he doesn't need a whole backstory, basically telling me to stop talking and, like, what do I need help with. And then I told him I've given a lot of money to them, and I feel like I deserve to be respected, and then he just wouldn't. And so I walked out, told him I'm no longer getting service from him, and he held up the weight and sarcastically said, Don't you want your weight for your little explanation? His name was James and I will no longer be going to Mountain View Tires which is disappointing because i've been going there for awhile. Will be going to american tires from now on. No customer deserves to be treated like that. I work in customer service and would never even think of talking to someone like that. After holding it for three days, Vince told me he couldn't figure it out and "doesn't work on valves." This is the same guy who repeatedly mentioned having 45 years of experience and working on Hondas with over 400k Instead of fixing it, he told me to go to the dealer for a $1300 repair he wouldn't or couldn't do--and then charged me $350 for diagnostic time. Imagine being told, "I can't fix it, but you still owe me $350." I feel cheated, because I never said not to do the work--I would have let him fix it. I basically paid $350 for his lack of knowledge. For som eone claiming decades of experience, a basic Honda V6 shouldn't be "too complex." Save yourself the headache, time, and money. If it's not just an oil change or something simple, go straight to a dealer or a shop with trained techs. Thats exactly what I paid 350 for so just start at the dealer.
