Harrison Motorsports is the most dishonest independent shop I have ever encountered. The amount of labor I was charged was double the time it actually took them to complete the work based on when an employee told me they started the job. When I tried to resolve this with the owner (Sergio) he condescendingly asked "if I understood what taxes were" even though the taxes only account for a small fraction of the overcharge. The most disturbing issue is that the entire repair would have been covered at the dealership at no charge. This means the shop either 1) doesn't know which repairs are covered under warranties and recalls or 2) intentionally didn't disclose information that would have saved me thousands of dollars. An employee mentioned they've "conducted this exact repair before", which implies they knew about the warranty/recall. I bear responsibility for learning too late this repair could have been addressed elsewhere for free. However, whether they are 1) innocent but incompetent, or 2) unethical, means you should go elsewhere for repairs. read more

I don't typically give reviews especially when service isn't rendered, but the customer service response from both Claudia and Sergio were fantastic when trying to find a floor mount bracket for a race car. My teammate elected to go a different route but the service was no less impeccable. I find it rare to get this kind of response in this day and age. My oil pan plug was stripped so I started calling around... After originally getting an unbelievably expensive quote for a replacement of the entire pan I thought I was doomed, but I called Harrison Motorsports and they offered just to re-thread it for a realistic price. Since I was going to change the oil myself I already had the oil and filter in the car. They were happy to use what I brought instead of billing me for oil they had on-hand. They also did a complimentary inspection of fluids, tires, and several other things... Hopefully I won't need to bring my car back here but I'm sure I will have another issue eventually... Harrison Motorsports will be the first place I call when that happens! I also didn't realize this place is very BMW and Mini oriented... The waiting room is decked out in BMW magazines and such... They seem to be marketing toward keeping old BMW's on the road so I definitely feel comfortable coming here... a lot of places I've consulted previously for other maintenance want to price gauge you due to the brand stigma. read more

My Aluminum Motor Mounts were delayed in shipment. Turns out the Team was at a BMWCCA event. Fastest email response ever to my status inquiry followed by a tracking number within hours. brought my 92 e30 in it on oct 2018 and they did absolutely no work..quoted me 5000 with 1200 deposit in jan 2019. The quote had things that have already been replaced like ac compressor and and a headgasket that has no miles on it because i changed it my self before i brought it in .. I trimmed the quote down to 1400 and the deposit was 500 i thought that is pretty high...but i paid it..against my better judgement because i could feel the racist mentality when i came into the shop to talk about the repairs to my car in nov 2018 .i believe since they couldn't prey on an uninformed black car owner they chose to let my car sit for 2 months and when i called for an update on feb 13, 2019, they informed me that its best to come get my car and that they haven't done any work read more

I called Cherié up one day after stripping the thread on of my after-market transmission mount bolts. I had bought these mounts ages ago, don't even remember when. Cherié took her time to research the product and was able to pinpoint the hardware I needed, which was reasonably priced, arrived promptly and fit perfectly. What ever you do. Do not bring your car here. I purchased a classic BMW now, a classic other words old school 1986 BMW 535i. I had test driven a few modern ones and decided against anything new from BMW due to the quality issues such as four year old BMWs with dry rotted peeling rubber surrounds on the front and rear windows. So i take my car to Harrisons. They do a smoke test to find leaks which they found none. They replace the spark plugs. Supposedly performed a Valve adjustment and replaced the Valve cover gasket which i had been told by the person who sold me the car a valve adjustment was not required, that one had been done recently. Also found tie rods shaky and suggested they be replaced. two hours labor for the tie rods and five hours labor for the Valve adjustment, smoke test and valve cover gasket. They recommended i use premium fuel and poor can of fuel cleaner in after filling up which they left in my passenger seat which cost $27.00 for a can of fuel cleaner which should've been my option. Ok, you're all set. You can pick up your car, NOT. Sort of take two aspirins and call me in the morning type of thing. I get the car back and i start it up, immediately i notice the car sounds like crap. It was idling rough, fluctuating up and down not a steady type of idle you're supposed to hear. I had the mechanic from the second shop test drive it. I sat in the back due to social distancing. The front passenger seat was vibrating like crazy. Now i'm not a mechanic but i know a car isn't supposed to perform like it was. Not only did the second shop find leaks, they found a few. Also one of the air intake boots was wrapped in electrical masking tape. You read it right, black electric masking tape. Are you freaking kidding me? They even found a rodents nest in the air filter compartment along with a dirty air filter. Again, are you freaking kidding me? I paid over one thousand dollars for this type of service, i think Not. I want half my damn money back Harrisons. Now compare to Bavarian Motor Cars: Our visual inspection reveals that there are signs of engine oil leaking from your vehicle. A smoke test was performed to check for air leaks in the system, the first leak found was from the intake boot, the boot is cracked at the end. A substitute boot was used for testing the rest of the system. Another small leak found from the second intake boot, this leak was remedied by repositioning the clamp. A small leak was also detected from the throttle body actuator rod. Another large leak present from a vacuum line under the intake manifold. This was repaired by replacing the vacuum line and installing new clamps. After these repairs the idle is smoother without any dips or fluctuations present. They texted me and also informed me that the engine oil leak was from the oil pan gasket and verified whether i wanted that repaired as well. I said go ahead and fix it. There are other issues they found like the Throttle body, the exhaust is very rusty but still operable, the front brakes squeal and squeak which there are new ones in the trunk left from there person i purchased from. And the front window rubber surrounds are dry rotted and need replacing which for now can wait. And it needs new shoes:wheels and tires. There also might be clogged drains from the sunroof which cause discoloration to appear on the headliner. Another issue that can be addressed in the future. And when i do i am bringing it right back to Bavarian Motor Cars. All of this they have and are repairing accept what i stated can wait until a future time and the cost is a little over what Harrison charged. Other than that not only have I found the car repair of my dreams. They gave me a loaner. A day later they had me come back and start it up. I noticed an improvement right away. They texted me a summary of all they found along with pictures. I can't say anything but places like Bavarian Motor Cars are a god send. And Do Not take your car to Harrisons, what ever you do. They are a rip off, period! read more

I am very particular about who works on my vehicles. If I can't do it, I go to Harrison Motorsports. They've done maintenance on my 1999 528i and on my former girlfriend's 2003 330i. These guys are friendly, courteous, and very professional. They don't sell you things you don't need. But they won't cut corners even if it costs them a bit of business. I'm okay with that. I'd rather pay a little extra for the peace of mind. I have a new BMW now so it'll be a while before the warranty expires. I took my 2007 BMW seven series here for service and repair for almost five years...I trusted them implicitly until several weeks ago. They diagnosed a water leak and Dave said that it was the connections under the engine and would take a lot of labor to fix it....I was quoted $2400.00.
