Took my car to get a $60 diagnostics. The diagnostics took 4 or 5 days. A quote of about $550 of which I approved, AND THAT turned into on the last day, about a week later....$725. ALSO P & J replaced a part without telling me till I got there to pay for their quoted work. P & J did not offer to return any replaced parts to me. When I requested they return the starter that they replaced, they said I would have to pay for it. Any of the other replaced parts were not available to me, as they threw them in the garbage, and the garbage man already picked up. The mystery part that they said was broken, was a part that had to be taken off to replace my starter. I was only told that when I went to pick up (& pay) for my vehicle. Oh yeah, they were to schedule a tow, I never got a contact call. I called my own towing co, so I could have it towed there. So now, my car has other problems, I called them to take it in again, then I slept on it and thought, why take it to get shafted again?? am not taking it to P & J. read more

Finding this family owned shop is a happy accident that I couldn't be more grateful for. When it comes to cars, I know enough to get by, but for serious problems, a mechanic is a must. The hardest part is finding someone I trust, because it's easy to take advantage of people who don't know what the heck is happening. Time and again, these people have proven to me that I can trust them. They are honest, they are careful, they continue to help and support you if problems persist. They have never overcharged me. In fact, I feel like they've done too much for me without charging me. As frustrating as car issues can be, I must admit, part of me gets a little excited when the check engine light goes on, because I know that I do t have to worry about whatever it is. May 11, 2017 Jose and his son Victor had my H2 Hummer for the better part of a week going over many years of neglect by the previous owners. In the end, P & J Auto saved me well over $1,500 from the repair estimate Chevrolet had written out for me. Jose used mostly GM products for the repairs and gives a One Year / 12,000 Warranty on Parts and Labor. Very nice piece of mind. Better Business Bureau A+ rated. These guys are very fair and professional all the way. They WILL NOT try to sell you anything you do not need. When i came to pick up my Hummer they had steam cleaned the engine and bay!! read more

I happened upon this shop when the shop we had been going to for the last 20 years or so had an "attitude" change after my father had passed away. They said my mom's van had too many troubles to fix and to just junk it. Well, how was she supposed to afford to buy another vehicle? Anyhoo...we have Car Shield and I looked on their website and found they recommended P&J. Of course, I was a bit apprehensive going to a new place but I saw they had good ratings and figured, why not? So, I go there and Jose is so warm and friendly. He made me feel at ease and I didn't get those "spidey" vibes of him being shysty soI had him fix the van. There weren't nearly as many problems as I was led to believe from the other shop and Jose explained each procedure that needed to be done and the cost. The van did need a new front axle which the shop diagnosed right away after I described the problem. It wasn't treated as a "mystery" as I had asked the other shop about it. Now, the van runs like a champ! OMT, the turn signal blinker wasn't working after just a few months of it being replaced by the other shop. The other shop charged $60 for seven minutes of work and i wasn't too happy with that with them doing my mom like that after we've been with them for a couple DECADES. But this shop replaced it for free as a courtesy. I, too, have a car and took it in there because it said "low oil" pressure and since (for my car) I had just signed with Car Shield I was getting a little frustration from them, as they wanted a year's worth of receipts for oil changes and the other shop wanted to charge me for them, smh. Jose and his sons were very thorough and meticulous in getting that car done as it was a pain in the butt to fix but they got it done. They didn't just hand it to me and yes it took a bit of time for it to be fixed but I feel comfort in knowing that they're not going to do some haphazard job so I can bring it in again for the same problem. Also for the fact that it no longer leaks oil. The last shop had to have known this was happening but didn't say anything about it and this car too runs just like it's supposed to--GREAT! I would highly recommend bringing your "loved ones" (vehicles) here to get them fixed. You will not have any surprises pop up as Jose will tell you exactly what's going on and will ask your permission to repair it or not. This shop does a variety of services as well so this is my new GO TO place for sure. I was even thinking if I moved out of the area it would be worth it for me to come here for the maintenance care on our vehicles. That's how much I like them! read more

Jose is a professional, he had my vehicle going in a timely manner, he worked well with my warrantee company and even washed my vehicle for me upon pickup. The guys are great! I called this morning because my car was overheating and they got me in right away even though they were busy. They offered to give me a ride to work if needed even though they don't have a shuttle service. The car was ready to go in a few hours just like they said it would be even though they needed to get a part direct from the dealer. The price point was very reasonable as well. My car was having trouble and i was told it was a throttle body. I got referred by a friend and went to check them out. They got me in right away and took their time to find the problem that was actually just a sensor. Once they found it they gave me a very reasonable price.
