Vietnamese people are very blunt and matter of fact (interpreted as rude). Their intention is not to be rude, it's a matter of fact for them so please do not take it personal. Don't get me wrong, they definitely need to learn the America customer service guidelines, and hopefully acclimate quickly. If they say you are fat = it's a compliment most of the time. Back home there is lack of food so fat means happy and healthy. If they ask your age, it's a matter of fact and age is celebrated in Asian cultures as wisdom. read more

P&L is in Star, Idaho, the former Eco Salon Nail Salon. I made an appt for a regular mani and pedi. I have not had a mani/pedi since Sept. The interior is clean and the staff were very friendly. My nails were trimmed and shaped. Both technicians were gentle on my cuticles and took their time with shaping and filing. I bring my own polish; but they do have a nice polish selection. I am thrilled we have a new quality nail salon in Star. I will make this my regular stop. read more

She's 4 so I was nervous about taking her but everyone was so nice and patient with her. They also do the dip service which has been hard to come by in TV, they applied it perfectly! The guys are loud, there's a small child that is there who runs around. The pedicure was fine but it is not a relaxing environment.

Let me start off by saying every experience I've had in this nail salon has been great & Jen does an amazing job on my dip manicures. And everyone else there has always been quite nice. This is why i'm still giving 3 stars. I had a 10AM appointment but got sick with an extremely violent bout of food poisoning early that morning. I texted one of their numbers (they have two different cell numbers listed) to let them know I wouldn't be coming. I also had my mom call too. They didn't pick up so she left a voicemail. The last thing I want to do is not show up for my appointment without notice. Whoever was in that morning didn't get any of my notices, which I understand would be frustrating, but I still think the way they handled it was rude. I was sent a message that said "You know when you have appointment u have to show up u know if you don't come don't make appointment we have lots of customers you are not the only one" I have been a very loyal customer since they took over eco, and i'm "aware i'm not the only one." I just think this is a poor way to talk to customers and it has deterred me from returning. I also think having a single business number would help avoid miscommunications like this. I ended up buying a kit to try doing my own dip manicure at home. It's very hard to find a great salon. read more

Decided to treat myself to a manicure pedicure on my birthday, which also happens to be Mother's Day weekend. Never in my life have I paid $80 for a pedicure and a manicure not to mention an extra $20 for tip. I never will again! apparently the salon must use the absolute cheapest polish on the planet. I didn't see an OPI or essie in the store. (which are my normal go to) Literally the following morning my nails were chipped. Six of my 10 nails are chipped! I am so disappointed, they won't even look good for Mother's Day. No dishes done, just birthday weekend activities which include eating and drinking nothing that would even Chip a nail. read more

Best pedicure I have had! I'm a licensed nail tech and have yet to find anywhere in treasure valley worth returning to, I'm very picky and my expectations are high, due to my knowledge/schooling. I booked an appointment so that I wouldn't have to wait too long. They took the woman who walked in before me and I had to wait 30 minutes. They don't do any better than any other salon. I advise going elsewhere. Response to Owner: I am not lying! I arrived at 11:32 with my friend and I waited exactly 28 minutes, if you want to be precise. Were you the man that walked around, not helping me after you finished with a Pedicure? Also, my friend, who was getting a manicure, while I waited, pointed out that another employee was doing her own nails while I sat and continued to wait. Is it your policy to take walk-ins before an appointment? The woman that sat next to me told me she had just walked in before me with NO appointment and you started her Pedicure while I just sat there. By the time you were ready to start on my Pedicure, my friend's manicure was almost finished. She would have had to wait quite a while for me. We made the appointments so that wouldn't happen. My husband and I use to come in for Pedicures but never again. And...neither will my friend. And, for an owner, your response shows me you don't care about your customer service. PSS.
