My situation was handled finally by PC Richards. They fixed but didn't replace my dishwasher. I Appreciate the help from their social media contact who facilitated a small refund and service person to come and install properly after experiencing more issues with water backup. I am still understandably hesitant that I won't continue to have issues with the products I bought however I would contact Oshane with PC Richards directly should I have issues. He was the most helpful out of anyone I spoke to. I can't say I will ever use their services again there was too much stress involved. I suggest that corporate rethink the way they handle customers and service issues. Give some power back to your salespeople to help customers with new products that don't work. read more

PC Richard's refused to install microwave. ordered a GE profile over the range microwave to replace the previous one. Workers refused to install as they insisted that the microwave could not be installed due to molding of wood about 3 inches below bottom of cabinet. which they which would get in the way. they said carpenter would have to remove molding. All of this a 2 days before thanksgiving. carpenter came to remove molding and was able to put in microwave without removing any of the molding. While the pc Richard experts would not. Now in process of getting refund for installation of microwave. will update post read more

Recently went in to get a new washing machine. Alex was very helpful in showing me exactly what I was looking for. I purchased the LG front load washer. We purchased a full kitchen of appliances and a 10 year warranty on everything. The refrigerator started to make some strange nosies so we called service. A repair person was sent and determined that apart needed to be ordered. Day one of sitting in the house with a five hour window. Day 2, on a saturday waiting for the repair person to come between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. At 1:00 p.m. after killing the entire day I called customer service and spoke to a very unpleasant person who stated that she would call me back. I asked for her supervisor and she quickly told me that that person was busy and they will call me back as well. neither person called me back..how rude.. At 1:30 a repair person arrived (he was pleasant) He had the new part in hand to replace. He took his tools and placed them on the brand new granite countertops and procedded to do his job. He told me that the repair order was for the afternoon as per his laptop computer. Someone was not telling the truth. Right after he left the same noises were coming from the fridge again. I called serve and was told this model is a problem and they would replace it this past Sunday. They sent me a email confirming the appointment and again (day 3) I waited int he house. At 11:00 a.m. on Sunday I called and they knew nothing about coming to my house. I waited until Monday morning and asked for Joanne Calvo which is the person that set up the initial appointment and she would not get on the phone with me. The person who did try to help me told me that she did not want to talk to me because I went over her head to the VP. She clearly set up the appointment and told me that numerous new units were being delivered to their wharehouse that day. On the way home from work yesterday, I stopped by the store to speak with the manager and I filled him in on the scenario. he advised me that the units never came in and "someone" should have called me. Threee days wasted that I will never be able to get back. I will now wait for PC Richard to get their act together and correct their issues. I am terrible dissappointed by this company's ability to communicate properly and do their job properly. Going forward, I would much rather go to a smaller store and personalized service read more

The store and sales staff are OK, nothing special. How a salesman knows about ranges, fridges TV and mattresses is beyond me -- It's the delivery time that is a MAJOR problem. You call the night before for a delivery window -- they say by 11am -- that time comes and goes and you call again to see where your item is -- and get another later time slot. That time passes and you call again -- getting a later time. No one seems to know when your item is scheduled to arrive. You spend ALL DAY waiting -- when your item finally gets to your house you ask the delivery people and they say that your item was first picked up at noon. It was a whole day affair -- and I killed a day waiting all for $95.00. I have other major appliance items to purchase, don't know if I will return to PC. read more

First need to start off with the entire store looks wonderful, so inviting and professional. Bought a new refrigerator today, dealt with Toufique salesperson and Joseph Ruggiero, sales manager. Both were great to deal with, easy with no pressure. My experience was top notch, especially with Joesph who worked with me regarding our dimensions of old unit and how new unit would fit. Answered all my questions of photos I sent him via text, talked everything out, didn't feel rushed or pressured. Felt like family, what a fantastic experience. I went In by myself then I went back a few days later with my husband and the price for the washer and dryer was different. They give random discounts and treat people differently. I think maybe because I was a female they didn't take me serious. IDK though. read more

The service was beyond excellent. We ordered a tv to be delivered before Christmas. For some reason the order came in with the wrong delivery date. When we contacted the store they sent a special truck out the same day to make the delivery. They even took away our monster old projection tv for a very small fee and they will have it recycled. read more

review your receipt carefully - after I purchased the item- the $400 promo amount was not deducted until after they totaled and added in other fees including installation, delivery, etc....they will tax you on the larger amount - THIS IS WRONG - other places I got quotes from deducted the $400 promo amount off the item amount AND their installation/removal of old pc, etc..was MUCH less than PCR. They will also "say" they will deduct portion of the installation amount after delivery - but when I asked Why the Receipt wouldn't show it.....I'm told their "old" computers can't do this transaction! This is ludicrous coming from a HUGE corporation and company that sells technology. They did not even offer to "meet" or match competitor pricing and our salesperson switched from Mr. Nice guy to Slimy Mean Rude salesperson when confronted and challenged on the receipt totals. I have been a customer of PCRichards for over20+ years and after this experience will never trust doing business with them again. read more

After writing this review I was contacted by the General Manager, Jerry, who arranged for a new refrigerator with the winter kit installed. It was delivered over the weekend, Jerry was apologetic for the issues we faced and followed up after delivery to make sure everything was taken care of. I was in dire need of a new television, my current one decided to take a crap during the stay home covid-19 pandemic. I knew I wanted a Samsung but wasn't sure which model to get. After much deliberation and comparing I settled on the 55" RU7100. Unknowingly while talking to a friend he said he had the same tv but 43" and absolutely raves about it. I hate to buy a tv site unseen but the price was right $399. I spoke to a representative named Pat (Farmingdale warehouse) and let him know the model and that I also picked out a new hdmi cable. I had a gift card but it wouldn't allow him to use it on an internet/phone sale. After holding for a couple minutes he tells me that he is going to discount the tv and the cable to equal my gift card and also keep my gift card for a future purchase. He went above and beyond to make this experience drama free. I just hope I do not have to write another review saying the tv isn't that great. read more

The salesman and manager worked with me to get the TV, I really wanted and to make my payments affordable. the delivery man was fabulous and worked so hard to make sure that my television worked and showed me how to use it. From that point on I have shopped at P.C. Richard & Son for every appliance in my home including my home phones. I get exceptional customer service and great quality merchandise. I am always welcomed into the store and the salespeople are fantastic. They are also great for giving back to the community for various fundraisers that involve the schools and other organizations in the Plainview community.They are my number one go to store. I was traveling out east for the weekend. I was traveling without a charger!! Who does that?! Well of course traveling on the LIE I see a PC Richards. I had such a great experience at another location I decided "Hey, why not stop in". When I get to this location I was greeted immediately by Rob G. and Jerry. I explained that I was looking for a carport iPhone charger and Rob G. immediately brought me over. Rob G. made me feel part of the family. I was then asked by Rob G. "what will you be doing this weekend?" I did explain that I am going to a lake-view property and it is pretty quite there. Rob G. suggested this cool Bose speaker and boom it was awesome!!! I love Bose products! I purchased it and left the store with another positive experience. I love that each time at PC Richards they were able to get me in and out of the door. Later on I finally arrive to my weekend getaway. I'm by the fire over the lake listening to music on this cool Bose speaker and this mighty little speaker packs a punch. Im excited to use it on the beach during the warmer season. Overall I had to write this review. I was just so pleased with Rob G.'s service and hope all associates who work for PC Richard exemplify Rob G.'s customer service. Will return to all locations!!! read more

We ordered a new refrigerator, common appliance, not a challenging installation. The installers managed to lift the fridge into the ceiling taking a chunk out of it, scratch wall, take a large chunk out of the front door, and scratch the floor up dropping the handles everywhere. I note on the receipt and call in for a damage claim. I start taking the film off the new appliance and there is a large dent in one of the fridge doors. Call again and file another claim. Two days later I am walking through my kitchen and the floor feels "soft", low and behold I notice water a small amount like ice cube sized by the fridge. I go to clean it up and the towel becomes saturated, I look under the fridge and there is a massive puddle of water, and the subflooring under my cabinets are soaked. I go down to the room below the kitchen and the ceiling is pooled with water. Call for a third time and now I have to wait 3 days for someone to contact me, meanwhile I have a leaking appliance and a destroyed house. read more

Update Sept 2015. I stopped in the store this week for info on a new refrigerator, stovetop, oven and dishwasher for my kitchen remodel. Ken Hammer was amazing as always. He has called me at home offering suggestions in the process of re-doing a kitchen. The history from previous post: Our first trip in we met salesman, Ken Hammer. Ken has proven to be the most amazing salesmen I have ever worked with and because of his hard work,sincerity, and consideration he gave to us, is what brought us back time again and again to make purchases. After the purchase of a new home - and following a flood we needed many things, the first visit was for a large screen TV. With great patience, Ken gave us an education and we purchased a large screen Sony and wall bracket. Delivery was flawless...no problems. It was during that visit that we learned that PC Richard was about to sell mattresses. In need of 3 new mattresses, we chose to wait till the day they began selling mattress to purchase 3 very expensive Sealy Mattresses and boxsprings from PC rather than another mattress store. (See separate review and rating). Working with Ken was the reason we went on to purchase 2 wall air conditioners, a grill, dishwasher and subsequently another dishwasher for another home. One of the dishwashers was short on a hose upon delivery and Ken made certain that the installers came out the next day to fix it on a Sunday! We were so impressed with the service that we decided to install ductless air conditioning from PC Richard too. ( see separate review) All the electronics we purchased were delivered on time, and Ken always followed up to make sure everything was delivered as expected. All theses appliance purchases FAR EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS! We are so grateful to have met Ken and will continue to make purchases thru him as we continue our renovations. When it came time to getting estimates to install ductless air conditioners, Ken couldn't be more helpful. I had interviewed many companies for pricing and all of them gave different opinions on how to install, where to install and which type to buy. Kay from PC Richard came in with info on a Daiken which no one had previously recommended. After researching with consumer reports, I learned that Daiken was the way to go. Had it Installed and I am so happy! Yes Ken made sure the warranty arrived! PC Richard Plainview is a 5 Star Review for electronics ...... The service was more than friendly. OMG - They pride in their service - really. I bought all my appliances for me new house - and my Samsung refrigerator. For last 6 months, it is giving us a problem. Their guys come in - take pictures - try to get parts - 6 times - and now they are going to replace. But, the old refrigerator has been left in a way that it is leaking water, and now the water has soaked up all my cabinets, seeped down my floor into the basement. Upon repeated calling, their phone number tells me that they are trying to do their best. Now I need to replace my cabinets, fix my basement and the refrigerator? Yikes.... read more

I am so disappointed and angry at PC Richards Plainview. We and other family members are LONG time customers of them and have always had great experiences, until now. We purchased a dishwasher two years ago and purchased the service contract which we are still under. We have already had an issue with our dishwasher once and now are having another one. We are going on our third week with no resolution to our problem. We have a dishwasher in the middle of our kitchen. PC Richards hires third party companies to fix appliances. They sent Petro Home Services to us which had been a total nightmare. We have called PC Richards numerous times - too many to count. They do not return calls / including upper management. They seem to not care when we get anyone on the phone! They have no answers for us and we still obviously have no dishwasher. We certainly will think twice before purchasing anything - let alone a service contract from them again! We have been sent good friends there which we I'll no longer do. The customer service there is horrible when you have an issue or problem with an appliance. We are so unhappy we could not even rate them with one star. However the only way we could post this review was to give them at least one star. So we did! But please note we rate them negatively in stars. We certainly do not give them a star at all. read more

moved to florida and went to PC richards for a total appliance package.Have had nothing but aggravation and disappointment--David, my salesman has NOT followed through once--no one in the organization works two consecutive days. was told delivery would take a week; in fact it took three. when the appliances finally arrived, they were dumped on the driveway (refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave, washer and dryer) despite payng for white glove delivery service. appliance installation kit came under separate cover--arrived one week after the appliances arrived. microwave arrived damaged--yes,. they replaced the damaged microwave but still have not picked up the broken microwave. I am billed,, however, for two microwaves. david gave me incorrect measurements on the appliances. he has rarely returned my phone calls. i would NEVER use them again for any out of state purchases. called and spoke to numerous store managers. again, no one calls back or follows up. read more
