Dubs Burger w/Swiss and shoestring fries. Yummy, says Hubby!

Great spot in Stallion Springs area of Tehachapi. We stopped in for lunch while on a day trip to the area. Great, attentive service and staff treated us like family. I love supporting these family owned restaurants and believe them to be the backbone of the communities where they reside. If we lived here, P Dubs would be OUR PLACE! The signature cocktails looked fun, there are plenty of TVs for multiple sporting events, the food was delicious and plentiful. I chose off the appetizer list the bacon wrapped grilled shrimp served with hand cut fries and it was PERFECT! The shrimp (4) were a medium size and had a perfect char and fresh taste. They are listed as a spicy snack, but when I requested them not spicy, the chef accommodated the request. They had a pleasant spice and the portion was perfect. I REALLY APPRECIATE dishes are made to order. I will always take fresh food, prepared to order, taking longer to arrive because it's being done right, not microwaved then heated on a grill. The fries were really good too! They offer both hand cut and shoestring. Hubby loves them crispy and thin, I like mine with some fluffy potato in the center. We both got what we like and enjoyed our fries. Hubs got the Dubs burger, plain an simple with just Swiss cheese and reported it was yummy! The relaxed, homey feel, with a sports theme is calm and casual and made for a lovely lunch. We look forward to returning to P-Dubs the next time we're in Stallion Springs. Cheers!

Years later we still go here weekly and lovin it. Most recently I tried their michelada. I have been searching high and low for a good michelada. Y'all, theirs is bomb. Highly recommend if you like micheladas you gotta try theirs. Get it with extra mix, dash of lime with the modelo on tap. Anyway thank you Pdubs for the great service and fun times.

Downstairs of the restaurant. Eating dinner with the husband and daughter.

I had a wonderful time. My family and I enjoyed our dinner at the P Dubs. Fresh food, great service, friendly staff, and upbeat ambience. We will definitely go back.

Awesome seats and the best burgers. The seasoning on the fries made them perfect. Definitely not the last time we'll be there.

I guess because it's a sports bar restaurant, and it's in Bakersfield. I got the shock of my life. It turned out, this was the best barbecue food I ever had. Not only that, but it's very affordable. I would say a bargain. I didn't have to spend 100+ dollars for 2 persons, like a lot of so called high quality barbecue restaurants. The briskets and ribs were amazing. Delicious, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. Sides were also delicious. The service was good too. You just go up and get your order. It took a little time, but the staff is helpful and friendly. I'll be back here again, the next time I'm in Bakersfield. Maybe I'll visit the Buck Owen's museum. Bakersfield is truly the Texas of California, although I've only been to El Paso, Texas.

I really enjoy my ribs they were tender and in my opinion they didn't need the sauce. I enjoyed how spacious the place is and the giants fan they have keep the place cool during this hot weather. Was just passing by for a dinner meal, and I was very happy. If I could give one recommendation maybe smoke those ribs a bit more to be a bit more tender. Definitely will be back for that tri tip.

Her smile, her knowledge of the menu, her professionalism...yet so personable and someone you want to kick it with! She's so fun! She made our visit one to remember. Once again Coaches didn't disappoint. This time I got the Triple Slider app just for myself! I didn't want to share with my husband this time! He got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich, I got the Skirt Steak and we shared the Mac n Cheese... FLAVOR, ON FLAVOR, ON FLAVOR!!!! We just couldn't at this point My husband looked at me and straight up said " How is everything so freaking amazing?!!" Maddy suggested some drinks as well and they were even better than the last time we went-hats off to the bartender Maddy even let us enjoy a complementary dessert and we ate it in like 2 minutes! My husband said I attacked it like a wild dog! Like what?? But high key that's what it was It was the Butter Cake. Waaaay better than I thought it would be. So warm and crunchy yet soft??! Ok! I see you! Maddy hooked us up straight away all night long and we can't sing enough praises to the staff and the chef. That chef be back there doing the dang thang!! Music...on point. We were used to the original, original (more on this later) Coach's in Lancaster. We decided to…read morecheck out the new one in Palmdale, since it was Mother's Day and my wife had been craving their wings. It was mid-afternoon, so they were not busy at all. We waited maybe about 10 minutes before being sat at our table. Coach's reputation in the area is being a sports bar and grill. What I noticed in the main seating area was the lack of TVs to be viewed. The design of the area is really poor if one wants to watch their sports programming while enjoying a meal and/or libations. The next thing I noticed was their increase on prices. Restaurants don't generally raise their prices because they expanded their operations. They expand because they are doing well and can afford to. It seems like Coach's raised theirs to help pay for their new building. We decided to order their dozen wings, splitting them between us. I love spicy! The hotter the better. My wife on the other hand went with the mild wings. The other preference between us: I like the drums, while she likes the flats. So, six "as hot as you can make them" drums and six mild flats, extra wet on both. I mentioned to the waiter the point that a dozen wings will generally contain six of each, but I had experienced issues with them wanting to double up-charge us in the past for separating them per flavor profile, so could he please relay our request to the cooks. Easy enough for the kitchen staff to handle, right? Obviously not so much. Additionally, the waiter informed us that the only way he could get the drums and flats separated was to up-charge us $3 per request (+$6 total), otherwise the kitchen staff wouldn't understand. I guess it takes too much of an effort to tell the cooks that order "X" needs this done? Remember, they were not busy...It took approximately forty-five minutes before our wings were brought out to us, ALL PILED TOGETHER! ????!!!! Who the F would look at this order of two profiles from completely opposite ends of the heat spectrum, including the separation of drums and flats per flavor, and extra wet, and think it is a smart idea to pile them all together?! This was immediately brought to the attention of the waiter who took them back for a resolution. The second attempt did have the flavors separated, but "extra wet" was now a light drizzle and the six "flats" were a combination of drums and flats. Seriously? Over an hour of wait and two failed attempts for an order of one dozen wings. PATHETIC! We asked to speak with a manger. She came out and we explained our experience with her. Her replies were:, "Well that's how the dozen wings are normally served; you shouldn't have been up-charged for splitting the dozen wings, the waiter could have informed the kitchen staff; and, we will remove the order of wings from your ticket." No sincere apologies. No offer to comp us our two beers. NOTHING! The original, original Coach's used to have fried green beans and pretzels on their menu. These were both a huge hit, and were two items you would associate to Coach's, before new owners took over. We asked each following visit if they had been added back to the menu. We were constantly told by the wait staff that this (the green beans) had been a continuous ask by many Coach's patrons, and they had relayed this to the new owners on several occasions. We asked again today, with the unfamiliar waiter having no clue of what we were inquiring about. This tells me that the new owners have no interest in what longtime Coach's patrons would like to have back, or the people that made Coach's successful, prior to their acquisition. They are obviously all about greed and poor decisions. This will be their demise, as they are causing many customers, like ourselves, to find more deserving places to spend our money. We had not heard the best reviews, from other friends, about this new Coach's, but we unfortunately decided to give it a try. FAILURE AT IT'S FINEST!
