Tasteless, terrible food, undercooked spring rolls. Truly some of the worst Asian food I have ever had. The sauce was thin and just brown, no flavor. The spring rolls were not edible; it was like half raw dough. I honestly don't know how anyone eats here. I love P.F. Chang's. The crispy green beans are the absolute best! I highly recommend them as an appetizer. They are tempura-battered and come with a delicious spicy dipping sauce. For entrees during this visit, we ordered the crispy honey chicken bowl, the Chang's spicy chicken bowl, and the crispy honey shrimp bowl. All three lunch bowls were very tasty. The crispy honey bowls all came with a lightly battered protein, green onions, and a tangy honey sauce. The spicy chicken bowl came with green onions and a sweet-spicy chili sauce. The amount of spice in this dish is perfect. If you like a dish with a little spice, this one is for you. Service here was great as well as the ambiance. This wasn't my first choice but it was my first time ... ever at a PF Chang's. Considering the fact that Baton Rouge is devoid of any good Chinese, it's probably not far fetched to suggest this is among the better (if not the most expensive!) options in the city. But it's important to know right away, that despite the name (#1), it's not really a Chinese establishment (#2). My phone speaks more Chinese than the staff, the menu is certainly Asian inspired with somewhat laughable items like "Hand Folded Crab Wontons" or "Vietnamese Chocolate Lava Cake." The place is massive. There are tables galore and a small army of young people as the wait staff. The faux Asian decor with the bonzai trees, fake statues and Han character murals is as impressive as it is tacky. Bathrooms are super clean and I appreciate that they take reservations. My massive group of 20+ Asians (I think we were the ones in house), decided to order a number of items from the menu and try a little bit of everything. And by that, I mean a number of dishes for a lot of people. Surprisingly, we didn't hate everything. The highlights would include the wok fried filet mignon ($21.95), kung pao shrimp ($17.95), chang's spicy chicken ($15.95), and oolong chilean sea bass ($27.95). A little pricey for sure, but those were the only things we enjoyed enough to actually finish. For the other items, it was somewhere between mediocre and dreadful. I won't bore by breaking down every dish, but most of the noodle dishes were very bland and the appetizers were definitely lackluster. The chicken lettuce wraps were probably our biggest disappointment, followed by the combo fried rice. Would I come back again? The stars are only for the food and the nice atmosphere minus our server. The service is the reason for such a low score. We visited on my milestone birthday 50 early on New Years Eve. I was hoping for a great experience with delicious food and great service. I got great food. The server was, let's say VERY PUSHY! We barely had our butts on our seats and he was harassing us with what we wanted to drink and if we want any appetizers. I asked him to give us a minute so that we can look at the menu. He came back we put in our order for drinks and an appetizer, then he asked, "Are you ready to order?" I said no that we would need a few minutes to decide. My son in law has never been here so we wanted him to be able to look through the menu. We placed our order and amongst the items we also ordered chicken fried rice. The server asked if we wanted the rice dishes combined as we were getting four entrees and they each came with rice. We said sure, thinking less plates on the table more space. We also ordered one side of white rice. When our food came out the fried rice had shrimp in it. He put in that we wanted the combination rice. I do not eat seafood, so when he came around to check on us we asked for an order of chicken fried rice. By the time it came out the entrees were cold. Then it seemed every 2-3 minutes he was coming back asking if we needed boxes. Usually it is a pleasant experience but we felt rushed and the server was rude. There were plenty of servers so they weren't short staffed and they were not very busy when we sat down so I do not understand this server rushing us the entire meal. Craving Chinese food in a nicer atmosphere? Come to PF Chang's! I absolutely love the atmosphere at PF Chang's. The only time I ever want Chinese food is when I need comfort food. This PF Chang's is clean, bright, and seriously, so comfortable. Something about their chairs and their service makes you feel at home. The only downside is that the food is a little pricier than other Chinese joints and the portion sizes are significantly smaller for the price that you pay. But the food does not lack in taste or quality. I'm not a huge fan of their chicken dishes, as I find them a little dry and overly salty, but their beef and seafood dishes are great. I've only ever had their dessert once, and I tried the Vietnamese Chocolate Lava Cake, and I was very impressed. The chocolate cake is rich, but not overly sweet. It has just the right amount of fudge and ice cream for each bite. Also, beware that this location is typically pretty busy. So expect a wait and expect a little noise. Overall, I'd recommend PF Chang's if you're in the mood for a step up from your typical Chinese takeout. It's a great place for a casual meal, a date, group dining, or drinks. Their customer service was amazing. I had an order of banana spring rolls and received a phone call from an employee notifying me that they were out of the dessert for the night, but they wanted to offer me another dessert of my choosing. I asked if I could instead swap my dessert for an appetizer of comparable price, and I was told the price wasn't a concern, to pick what I want. I love P.F Chang's. This is the 3rd location we have visited over the years. I have thoroughly enjoyed every dish I have ordered. The menu has a wide selection to please the whole family. The vegetarian section has several items to choose from as well, and they are actually flavorful! My only complaint about this location was the bathroom. It was just not very clean. Your daughter thinks it a curse. Because this is not the first time. The last time you tried to eat at a PF Chang's on the way home from a regatta the place was closed because the kitchen was on fire. She thinks that the Gods of Chang are against you and that only the Gods of Buffalo Wild Wings love you. You? You are not so sure. But you do know that the lettuce wraps will not be yours tonight. PF Changs has always been our go to birthday dinner restaurant for the whole family. The food is amazing and they have always been one of the best accommodating restaurants in Baton Rouge for allergies. My brother has a severe seafood allergy. PF Changs has always had an allergy menu with great food. They have always made us feel safe eating there. Today my brother went on a date and was told they no longer cater to seafood allergies and if he'd like to eat there his only option would be tofu. This was beyond disappointing as it is not hard to separate chicken and beef from seafood in a kitchen and this was a restaurant everyone loved and felt comfortable eating at until today. We will sadly no longer be attending PF Changs for family birthday dinners and I would not recommend for families with allergies. :( read more

Wife and I went to PF Changs yesterday and as usual the food and service were both good, but there was something odd about the ambiance of the place. It's been about three years since we dined there so I can't really remember the details then, but on one wall there is a giant mural that has all of the markings of Chinese Communist propaganda. Dominant color Red, a young proud looking woman holding a sword ready to strike, and gold floating paper pterodactyls that could also resemble gold stars of their flag. I love those and so did pretty much everyone else. The lettuce wraps are popular too. This time I had the miso glazed salmon with bak choy, mushrooms, and I added broccoli. It tasted quite good however the "glaze" wasn't thickened at all--it dripped like water. I soaked it up with the rice though and it was good. The rest of the dish was flavorful. I did get the slightest hint of fishiness off my salmon in a couple bites, but I would say it was almost perfect. It was a really healthy dish and I left completely satisfied. I would get it again, just hoping the glaze/sauce would turn out better. Normally when I come I like to order off menu and get the "Mongolian trio" which is Mongolian beef, chicken and shrimp. It taste horrible. It had a very weird taste. I asked for a sprite instead but that was flat. I just didn't bother with another drink. Yesterday (1/10/24), my wife and I went to P.F. Chang's to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We have dined here every year for the past three years and have always had amazing experiences. That is, until we met Emsa. We had the grand misfortune of having Emsa as our server yesterday. For years prior, they have had the table decorated, have congratulated us on our anniversary, and have even gone so far as to provide us with a complimentary desert.This year, we were disappointed, despite stating we were celebrating our anniversary on the reservation. We were seated promptly, before our 6PM reservation time. Our waitress took our drink order. I got my draft beer 20 minutes later, it took 40 minutes for my wife to get her sangria. Draft beers can be poured fairly fast, and I don't believe they get better with age. We received our food quickly, that is, once she decided to come back and take our order. This may have something to do with the fact Emsa wasn't the one to bring our meals out. But don't worry, she made sure not to check on us one single time until we asked her to bring the check. Our experience this year was so poor, that while waiting on our drinks, we were talking about where we should go for our anniversary next year... definitely not P.F. Chang's. Yes I am the guy who orders gluten-free chicken fried rice with no carrots nor egg, sub brown rice, add snap peas, extra chicken well done. Came here with our Aministrative Assistant to say "thank you" for her hard work. She had mentioned that PF Chang's was one of her favorite places so - here we are! So, let's get this out of the way: Yes, it's a chain. That means different things to different people. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants. But there are exceptions and, as chains go, PF Changs is on the more positive end of the continuum, in my judgment. For our meal today we ordered a couple appetizers. The crispy, fried green beans were surprisingly good. I say "surprising" because I was expecting green beans so thoroughly encased in batter that you have to take it on faith that there is actually a bean in there somewhere. These were what I would call "partially breaded" so you got the fried part (be honest - we all want a bit of that) and yet you could taste the beans themselves. Combine that with the sauce that came with it - cut with a little soy - and it was pretty nice. Along with that we got the "firecracker shrimp" - breaded and fried popcorn shrimp with a sweet and sour glaze. Also very nice and actually seemed "light" and did not leave you with that fried heaviness that often accompanies these sorts of dishes. I also ordered a cup of the Egg Drop Soup - which was solid and then - the main dish - the thing that I have ordered there with the most frequency: the Kung Pao Shrimp. I don't know what it is - I wish I did - but the way that they season this dish is consistent, unique, and memorable. Very distinctive flavor that I never tire of. Delicious. I ordered the brown rice with it - which is fine - but you would probably enjoy the white rice better...... Our server was on the spot and attentive - did a great job. This experience is solely based on my take-out order during COVID-19. It started with online ordering through consuming the meal. I was craving Asian food. There are only a few Chinese restaurants I order from. I haven't been here in a long time for their Chinese food. I was able to order and pay for my food online. It was easy. When I arrived, as soon as I parked, someone came out with my food and put in my trunk for me. Upon getting home, the food was still warm and it was quite tasty. My husband has a severe aversion to MSG. I know that this restaurant does not use it in their food because he has never gotten sick from them. I really enjoyed the Mongolian beef, the kung pao chicken and fried rice. The shrimp was not my favorite dish... honestly, kind of boring and I wish I could have put in the oven to toast the deep fried batter a bit. Recently we went to P.F. Changs to celebrate my birthday. Its been a while we haven't been there and their menu changed quite a bit. We tried their Dynamite shrimp and handmade dumpligs for appetizer. The dynamite shrimp was a hit with the kids and the handmade dimplings came in a sauce of chilli oil and placed over a plate of salt. They looked much better than their taste. They didnt taste any exceptional. Their signature Lo mein and their short rib fried rice were also OK. We liked the seasoning of their rehular fried rice over the short rib one. We thought it needed a tad bit more flavour. The kids loved their kids meals and it was filling enough for them. We also ordered couple drinks - kyoto bloom and another drink (i forgot the name). They were to their mark. The best out of everything we had that day was their dessert - The Great Wall of Chocolate. It was truely a chocolate haven. The decor is nice. Very upscale for Asian. We got a seat right away and were give a drink and food menu. First disappointment was no table card or menu advertising the Tuesday deal. Second was our server not mentioning it either. We got a blank look when we asked her about it. When we showed her the email, she did say we could do the drink and taco combination. There were three taco options (lobster, pork, or shrimp) and she said we could have any of the three. We got the pork and lobster. Third disappointment was when we got out bill with an up charge for the lobster tacos that we were not expecting. We both got a Margarita, which was surprisingly good. The pork tacos were a bit to sweet and lacked the advertised lemongrass flavor. The lobster was very good. Lightly breaded and fried, tossed in a spicy yet slightly sweet sauce. We also ordered a cup of hot n sour soup and a small side of shanghai cucumbers. The soup was another disappointment. It was very thick and was not sour or spicey. Very little flavor. The cucumbers were even worse. Chucks of cucumbers tossed in a Thai chili sauce. They were bitter and lacked balanced seasoning.
