This review is for a takeout experience; I ordered takeout on a weekday night over the Internet, called to have the time adjusted, which they did thankfully, and picked up at the restaurant. The parking situation in all of Columbia Mall is so aggravating. I had to park on the third floor of a jam-packed parking garage adjacent to PF Chang's because there is no waiting or to-go order parking area. I didn't want to park in a fire lane, handicap spot, or block cars. Inside, the to-go area is just past the host stand. I was assisted right away without a wait, my food was correct and complete and ready (I was 20 min late), and the employee was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The food tasted great but for $30 I didn't realize how much of a glutton I am. It wasn't enough. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and the spicy Chang's chicken, which was fresh but a small size. Maybe the to-go orders are smaller portions, but the restaurant may have made their portion sizes smaller overall. read more

P.F. Chang's use to be my favorite restaurant, but ever since the pandemic the service and quality of their food at the Columbia location has gone way down! Every time we order curbside pickup, no one ever brings out our order. After about three calls, then they will bring out the order and by the time they do, everything is cold. Today was my last straw. I ordered a dynamite shrimp with a kid beef fried rice and boy was it horrible! The dynamite shrimp had no sauce on it, it was SO dry, hard and burnt (all batter). After the third bite I was done trying to eat it. The fried rice had no taste whatsoever, the eggs in the rice was also burnt, like how? They charge way too much to have chefs who can't cook. I'm done done with this restaurant! They're not even trying to make their food or service good anymore smh. read more

Kung Pao Shrimp bowl. Tasty. But the spice didnt blow me away. I guess thats ok, but I was expecting some more heat. The tofu dish was good but the tofu needed some more heat as well. We left within 10 minutes of being seated. This restaurant is gross. The tables were sticky and the silverware was wrapped in a disgusting dirty napkin. It's been ages since I have been to a P.F. Chang. I met an old coworker here for dinner. The server allowed us to catch up/visit without crowding us while provided great service. We started with the lettuce wraps and it definitely did not disappoint. My coworker ordered Chicken Pad Thai and it was delicious. I ordered the Signature Lo Mein and OMG - it was to die for. Very disappointed in my family's dinner at PF Changs last night. Our waitress was incredibly slow and since half of our party arrived a few minutes late that further complicated it. It took everyone at least 20 minutes to get their drinks and yet she was already pushing us to order, despite knowing we were waiting on another person. When our drinks finally came my younger brother's lemonade was sour, as though it was only lemon juice without sugar or water- although we alerted her to the issue immediately my brother NEVER got a new drink. Nobody else got a refill all night. My other brother got the peach boba drink they had on the menu- but the straw was way too small for the popping boba so he couldn't actually drink it. We ordered 3 appetizers but one of them never arrived, and we were charged for it on our check. The apps did not come with ANY of the sauces listed on the menu, and neither did my brother's kids chicken entree. The main courses arrived fairly quickly, but once they were dropped off we never saw our waitress again. The few times we did see her she would walk away mid-conversation as we were trying to alert her to issues or ask for a refill/missing sauce. It was my brother's birthday and she never asked if we would like to see a dessert menu or order anything else. She was very short with us when we asked for some ice cream so my brother could blow out a candle. Overall, I have been to this PF Changs many times and I have never experienced this level of incompetence. Came to the mall for a little shopping and a couple drinks with a girlfriend. Every restaurant was packed, duh Saturday night in Columbia! The wait at PF Changs for 2 was 50 minutes. We stalked the bar for diners looking like they were ready to leave, 15 minutes later we're sitting at the bar. Our bartender was super friendly even tho he was crazy busy! As we were dining there were people standing behind us waiting like we did for others to leave. They were ordering drinks as well. Asian pear mojito was delicious. Refreshing drink, much needed after shopping. My gf and I shared crispy green beans with a spicy dipping sauce, very good. My gf commented on how they make something good for you, green beans and turn it sinful by battering and frying. But yum nonetheless! I had vegetable fried rice, it was okay. Nothing overly special. My gf had spicy chicken which she loved. She did say it was very spicy. The gentleman sitting next to me had chicken lettuce wraps and orange chicken. He said both were great. Went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were so glad we chose this place. The food was great. We got our usual lettuce wraps and the salmon dish and there was an offer for free hokien noodles. Everything was really good. There was another special on the banana spring rolls so gave this a try for dessert. Best dessert ever. Came with really yummy coconut ice cream. I remember the first time, my friends, and I went to a PF Chang. My friends are more foodies than myself, bought this place had me mesmerized. the first chain we went to was located in Tysons corner, Virginia. It could've been the area and what is expected as far as dining establishments for ambience that is set my expectations whenever dining in one of the chains that is my downfall, but Brian and I were less than impressed on the evening of 9/23 when he picked this spot in Columbia. The restaurant is in desperate need of a cosmetic facelift. If it has had one recently, the abuse of the patrons in such a short period of time has shown. The black tables looked weathered and splintered. The floors looked and felt dirty underneath my heels, and this is not a exaggeration when you can hear the stickiness as you lift up your feet. Because of the pandemic, most restaurants have not returned to their normal menus, and you must scan using your phone, which is understandable to a point, but still annoying. The bathrooms were relatively clean, but extremely dingy or dim lighting did not help the wait staff looked overworked or uninterested, in their occupation, more than what one would expect. The uniforms barely fit and were stained. The food still had a nice flavor to it, but definitely didn't want to sit around and enjoy the food in this particular environment. My husband even wanted to move the SUV. He bought us that same day so he could keep an eye on it due to the questionable elements that were around the area , and before anybody says anything, we are an African-American couple that is well traveled from diverse backgrounds. But if the area is questionable, the areas, just questionable, regardless, of who you are or where you come from. If you just want the food, I really recommend just ordering takeout and pick it up and go to the comfort of your home or hotel room. If you want the experience of opulence from my chain restaurant, such as this, then you probably will need to go to Tysons corner, Virginia or similar locations to get that. read more

I came here last night as The Walrus didn't have any bar seats available and I'm glad I did. I've only been to PF Changs a few times in my life so I don't know much about it. I had a good experience here last night as the bartender, Pete, was great. Happy hour wines for $6 is a good bargain. I recommend the Cab Blend. For dinner I had the Kung Pao Chicken. It was very tasty but I don't get why they put those tough red peppers that you can't chew into them. I love the fact they put the calorie count on the menu here as I wanted to eat light last night. At under 1,000 calories, I was pleased with the portion and skipped most of the rice as I'm guessing they don't include it in the calorie count. I definitely plan on returning to this establishment as the bar service was great and the food was good. It was also nice to see a busy restaurant during these times. read more

American Asian fusion is the best way to describe this place. The lettuce wraps were good, albeit difficult to assemble and eat. Hot and sour soup was decent. There was a lot of flavor and some sweet and mild spice to the meat and the hot and sour soup. Things marked "spicy" on the menu are not that spicy. I have to believe tonight's experience was an anomaly, but it was an expensive one for sure. Everything at the mall is always busy for dinner time, so I made a reservation online with my P.F. Chang's rewards account. We arrived and were seated only a few minutes later so all seemed well. Then we waited at our table for a while when the hostess came back and told us she would take our drink orders because our server was really busy and would still be a few minutes before she could get to us. Strange, but at least she tried, so we ordered our drinks. Waters and my soda were served fairly quickly. The alcoholic beverages would not arrive for another 15 minutes or so. The restaurant was busy, but there were some empty tables and no wait by the time our waitress got to us to take our orders around 9:15 or so. She gave us a heads up that the computer system in the kitchen was down (obviously not for the whole restaurant because the hostess had my online reservation so it was just the order system that was down) so tickets were all handwritten, many were getting lost, and everything was going to be very slow and she would do her best. We told her we would be very patient as we knew it wasn't her fault. While we could see communicating orders would be slow and perhaps create a backlog of orders, we could not foresee how computers would make the food quality as low as it was tonight. We ordered the egg drop soup bowl for the table and she said it would be a few minutes because they had to heat up more soup. When it did finally arrive it was cold. We ordered our meals and my chicken with broccoli had 2, exactly 2, broccoli pieces in it which the person serving me noted and said they would send out a side of broccoli- it never arrived. Two other people in my party ordered the honey chicken which we all love. The chicken was greasy and overcooked and no honey flavor could be detected. It was like sad rejected fast food chinese you forgot about from a couple nights ago type bad. By this point in the meal we felt the need to point out we still did not have napkins or any silverware to speak of just the serving spoons on our plates (oh and no additional plates, we just had to eat off of the 'serving' plates, so much for family style). We asked about 4 times until our waitress told us she was looking all over the restaurant, but couldn't find ANY rollups??? Like one downed computer system shouldn't make the dishwasher and napkin sources disappear as well. The meal took about 2 hours to get cold soup; 2 late and slightly melted peach drinks, 3 bad entrees; and 1 refill of my soda. We heard the table behind us got about 5 of their items comped and we ended up paying full price, about $90 for three people by the time tip was accounted for. We did not want to punish our waitress for things outside of her control, but come on! If I'm going to spend $100 on dinner it better be hot, fresh, and come with a napkin for crying out loud. Our napkins and forks arrived with the check. Not an exaggeration. I really try not to leave 1 stars. I like P.F. Chang's as a chain. I frequent the Waterfront location in Pittsburgh a lot and always have a good experience. I guess I expected that would translate to this location and was sorely mistaken. A lot can be seen about how a place manages an unexpected 'crisis' and the lesson I learned tonight is that this location cannot even get napkins out if the kitchen doesn't have orders on a computer. read more

I'm a big fan of PF Changs but I have never been to this location. Well they did not dissapoint me this visit. It did start off on a bad note as I ordered The BBQ Ribs and they were out of them. Our servers were Tiarra (SP) and Christopher who were absolutly perfect servers in every single aspect. They were very nice, attentive and chatty which like like. I ended up ordering The Mongolian Beef which was some of the best I have ever had, my wife had the Pepper Steak which was also very good. Portions were perfect size for me and the food came out hot. I went there to celebrate a cousin's 90th birthday and let's just say my extended family is a total sh*t show. We had about 20 people and kids out the yahoo! But the service was great! My drink was really good i got an old fashioned. We had so much food to share and it was all great! The asparagus one cousin had was delicious. All the food that we got was pretty good. The only complaint i had is that they forgot my food. But thank goodness the cousins shared so i wasn't starving to death. We had a really great waiter otherwise and he was very accommodating. Fatima (bartender) and Julia (manager) are amazing. They along with the other staff made my night. Everything came out quickly and cooked at perfect temperature! I asked Fatima to make me a drink that is no longer on the menu and she did a great job at bringing it back to life. I wish PF Changs would bring back the Chinese 88 martini because whenever someone makes it for me the other guests are intrigued and want to try it! It's an awesome martini that would sell in a heartbeat each time! It's the only one I ever get when I come here! This is my first time at this location and I will say it's definitely bit my last. Lol. (Yes that's how I want to start my review off). My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on a Friday night because we had a gift card. I normally like PF Chang's and will sometimes choose to come here over the other restaurants at Columbia mall. We scheduled a reservation for 8:00 pm. When we get there, there's an ample amount of people in the waiting area, and in the lobby all waiting for a table. People even overflowed into the back private party section and outside waiting for their table to be ready. I ended up being one of those overflowed people and ended up waiting 30 minutes for my 8:00 reservation. Famished and annoyed at this point, we finally sat down at 8:30. We knew exactly what we wanted since we had 30 minutes already to look at the menu. However, it took the waitress approximately 17 minutes to come over and introduce herself, and take our drink orders. I think I ended up being sort of snobby when she first asked how we were doing (my response was: well we're hungry!!‍) but she needed to know that their service being unsatisfactory is definitely noticeable. And I say that because I watched her go to each table around us in our section before she even came over to speak to us. We even made eye contact at one point in time. Totally rude and unacceptable. But she remained professional, so she earned her stars back in my book (lol). I got my usual - my champagne with grenadine. It was a nice healthy glass so I was happy! I got the lo mein noodles, and my boyfriend got the sweet and sour chicken. My food was a little on the salty side, but still good. I would recommend this place, but maybe during lunch hours. I pick this location after work and turns out they had a happy hour! I'm eating like these days so I ordered a lobster roll and Tempura cauliflower in a spicy sauce along with an Asian pear Mojito. All of these items were on their happy hour menu so I scored pretty good deal for dinner. The lobster roll was different than I remember. There used to be a nice size piece of lobster on top of the roll But now there's just a small piece buried on the inside and that appeared to be chopped up. Not a lot of flavorful lobster to be had. I would also say that the rice on several of the pieces was overly dense and extra thick! Which gave me the impression that it was not made by hand, not made that day nor at that location!! I literally had to take a knife to cut off much of the rice. I've attached a picture. The tempura cauliflower had a wonderful spicy flavor to it and fried perfectly -- unfortunately the spicy sauce that it was dipped in, completely made the vegetable soggy. Additionally and unfortunately, the vegetable swam in that sauce. But the taste was great and so I finished about 75% of it. My Asian pear Mojito was delightful and refreshing with plenty of fresh mint leaves. No complaints there. I enjoyed both the ambience and lighting - it definitely put me in a relaxed mode. Nice crowd but not crowded. There were adequate televisions, and it really delightful bartender today. I have had better when I've visited this restaurant. Overall, I would go again for their happy hour definitely! But I would pass on the lobster roll. Ugh! read more

We made a reservation for 5:15, when we arrived they were fully packed which was expected because it was Mother's Day and Sunday. However, we had gotten our confirmation text but when we got up there, we were told to wait another 45 minutes. The staff were really friendly about it and I understand that it's none of their fault but the manager needs to understand that they cannot accept every reservation to that point since it seemed that everyone there had a reservation, effectively canceling the point of the reservations. Yuck. Ya know, when you order whatever it is you order from those hole-in-the wall Chinese places you find in so many strip malls, you get better food at a better price than PF Changs. The Ma Po Tofu was nothing like Ma Po Tofu I make or have enjoyed in other restaurants. The sauce was thick, sticky and almost sweet and the tofu had a skin on it like home style or fried tofu rather than Ma Po she meted in sauce. What it appears is PF Chang doesn't actually cook their food but rather take it from pouches and microwave it. I could be wrong but that's what it like like when served. The sauces are overly thick, too sweet and sticky. I have no reason to return. read more

Love the food here. Mongolian beef is so good. Love the banana spring roll dessert. I can eat those spring rolls all day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No joke. We had a table of six (including a toddler) for an early weekend dinner yesterday. The food was good and the service was great. My one complaint was that they lost our reservation. I made a reservation via Open Table. I received a text and email confirmation from the Open Table app; I also received an additional confirmation text from the restaurant itself. When I arrived, they had no record of my reservation. The host did her best to remedy the situation and sat us within about 15 minutes. Let me be clear, I'm not upset with the hosts at the host stand. I assume it wasn't their fault. I'm upset with whatever system the management is using to track their reservationS. If this had happened during the dinner rush, I would be very frustrated to have to wait. read more
