This is my first experience with this restaurant chain that didn't involve the frozen food aisle. Overall I was pretty pleased. The decor is very modern with no surprise an Asian themed. But I can say that it didn't feel very gimmicky at all. I expected to walk in and see dragon statues and cheap paper lanterns and what I actually saw was a very clean and sleek modernist approach to an Asian restaurant. I've been told that there is usually a long wait but we must have gotten lucky and was promptly seated. We got sat a booth that was very spacious and pretty comfortable. The restaurant itself is huge. This is a great place to dine at if you suffer from claustrophobia. Now the food. We started off with an appetizer of the chicken lettuce wraps which was pretty good. The only thing is wished for was a different type of lettuce. The use of ice berg lettuce for a lettuce wrap is a tragedy as it takes so much flavor away from the filling itself which was very tasty. My friends got the walnut shrimp and the chicken fried rice while I got the sweet and sour chicken. They all seemed to enjoy their entrees while mine was very lack luster and seemed to be a much smaller portion than then everyone else's. For something that is advertised as sweet and sour it was very one note. The real high light of our dining experience was our server Kacey. She was very sweet and attentive the whole night. My best tip for anyone who wants to dine here is to ask for her section. Overall the food was a three star for me but the decor and service will definitely make me come back to try it again. I have eaten at P.F. Chang's many times in the past with adequate quality food. It is not infrequent that I have to send an order back to the kitchen because it's I'll prepared but usually corrected quickly. That really should not be the case with a restaurant in any form. I had the opportunity of ordering take out for dinner last night and the food I received was tasteless and watery. The ginger chicken had no discernible ginger in it and the chicken felt like it was boiled and thrown together was a broccoli at the last minute. I have demoted this restaurant from four stars to based on the quality of the food and the flavor or lack there of and the cost compared to other Asian restaurants. read more

All our our entrees were so-so: sesame chicken, orange peel chicken, sweet and sour chicken. The only tasty part of the meal was the chicken lettuce wraps appetizer. The broccoli in the sesame chicken was old and had black spots on it. I'd already eaten a few florets before I noticed, but I picked out the rest. We were also brought a side dish that we didn't order, and then, of course, charged for it. To top it off, at the end of our stay, a family came in with a pack of wild kids hooting and hollering and watching their media players at full blast...of course they were sat next to us. $100 for garbage food. We ordered the crab rangoon (crab wontons), bf ordered king pao chicken, and I ordered Spicy chicken. We ended up getting our entrees before before the wontons. My daughter was wanting Chinese and didn't want to fight the food court. I like Pf Changs but I've had better and I've had worse. It's a bit pricey for lunch when it was about 20.00 for me and a kids meal. I will give them that the ingredients do taste fresh. I'm just not sold on paying top dollar for Chinese food all the time. That is why we probably stick to the mom and pop shops around town. They do have some good desserts. They have a chocolate cake that is just delicious although you may need a tall glass of milk to wash it down and it's enough for 4 people! I've been several times to PFC's, but have somehow missed reviewing it. Last night my boyfriend wanted to go there for dinner since we hadn't been in a good while. Since I wasn't in the mood for Chinese per se, I had the Chilean Sea Bass in a ginger soy marinade, served on a bed of sautéed spinach, with brown rice. It was a hearty filet, very tasty and satisfying. The entrée gets the 4-stars. I can't fault the service as it's been good each time we've dined there. I'm just not a fan of chain eateries, although PFC's is an acceptable one. I think, if you don't want or like Chinese and you find yourself there, you're safe with one of the fish dishes. read more

My food was excellent and served in a timely manner. My server was very kind and courteous. The location has plenty of parking being that it is connected to Fayette Mall. This was our first restaurant we ventured to with our 6 month old. We went at 3:30 on a Wednesday for lunch. There were maybe 3 other groups there. When we sat down, the tables were extremely sticky. My husband wiped the tables down with baby wipes. When he wiped the sides of the tables they were black! We asked for a high chair. We wiped it down with baby wipes as well and the wipes were disgusting! For being a time where sanitizing is supposed to be a top priority, I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone! My wife and I are not big fans of chain restaurants. We love scouring Yelp or talking to locals when looking for a new place to eat. That being said, there are a few we enjoy from time to time. PF Changs is one of them. This was our second time to the PF Changs in Lexington. Each visit has been great, but tonight's was especially nice. Despite being crowded with the typical Friday night dinners, we were seated quickly and our service was great. Everything we ordered was brought out hot, fresh and fast (but not too fast). We ordered the dinner for 2 which includes 2 soups, 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert for $40. Not cheap, but definitely a deal at PF Changs. We both ordered the egg drop soup and split the pork dumplings for our first two courses. They were excellent. My wife ordered the Orange Peel Chicken and I had the Singapore Street Noodles. Excellent again! Fresh, hot and full of flavor. Despite many trips to Chnags, I had never ordered the street noodles before. Glad I did tonight. Plenty of shrimp and chicken to go along with the noodles and veggies. Both of us went home full and with leftovers. If there was any downside to the meal it was the dessert. A dessert wonton. It wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about either. We went with the chocolate raspberry wonton. It was ok. Overall a great experience and the next time we're craving Asian American fusion, we'll be back. read more

It's listed as an appetizer, but I usually have it as an entrée along with some egg drop or wonton soup. The service is always great, and the restaurant decor is pretty grand. I also enjoy their chicken lo mein, but the last time that I had it I was disappointed. We ate there today. The food was decent, and our server was great. HOWEVER, the place was filthy. Floors full of trash, booth crevices full of food and trash, under our table was trash, the ladies room was disgusting. We arrived around noon, so the place should have been very clean. It looked like the carpets, etc had not been swept in weeks. The staff at the front door can visually see how filthy the carpets are upon entering. THEN upon leaving we saw the Health Departments Checklist And PF Chang's rating was in the 80's. I wonder how they can stay open as filthy as the place and surroundings were. Our table was still wet from a "wipe down" so I took two napkins to dry the table...the napkins I used wiped up filth. The booth had sticky sauce, and crumbs on it, which also had to be wiped down. in the past we have enjoyed PF Chang's, but after today's experience of a filthy restaurant, I dunno. We sat for 10 minutes and no one came to our table. I went back to the reception counter and told the person that we had been seated for 10 minutes and no one had been to our table. Over the next 5 minutes 4 servers and the manager walked by our table and none of them acknowledged us. We got up and left and went elsewhere. Sometimes the food is awesome and sometimes the service is, it's never been both. My hubby has been resistant to coming back, then I got an e-mail for a wine and sushi pairing. How can that go wrong?
