This is the first time I've gone to this restaurant in a very long time. This new restaurant in Waco just opened so my wife and I are very excited to come here. The establishment itself looks wonderful. The staff is very friendly and courteous. My wife and I ordered the tempura calamari as vegetables for starters, iced tea and cucumber limeade. Then we ordered our main course, the Ahi poke bowl and Oolong Chilean sea bass. We also ordered the Great Wall chocolate desert to go. The ahi poke is very delicious specially when you add a bit of the dressing that goes with it. The sea bass is delicious as well with the buttered sautéed spinach. The fish it self is soft, fluffy and cooked just right, in my opinion. Now for the appetizer, the tempura calamari and vegetable came in after our main course. They were having difficulties with the tempura's marinations so it was delayed. But nevertheless the appetizer was delicious. Then it was time for the check. They have forgotten the desert that we ordered to go. All in all the food the we ordered are delicious and I recommend it to anyone that comes to this restaurant. Come early because the restaurant was beginning to fill up quick when we left. The delay of food and misplaced orders is just a part growing pain for a brand new restaurant. read more

We had seen some bad reviews recently, but as out of town visitors we found this PF Chang's to be quite good. Our waiter was very attentive and accurate with our orders. The food was very good - came out a little delayed but hot, tasty and like other PF Chang's we have been too. Overall a very good experience. read more

We got delivery... the food was absolutely awful. extremely dry chicken pad Thai. Crab wontons had no sauce and were dried up... same with dumplings. Never will eat here again and was terribly disappointed... especially since it is priced rather high. Maddening. read more

The margarita was spot on. The Chili garlic green beans were outstanding. The Szechuan shrimp and the Szechuan chicken entrees were excellent. The brown rice was aromatic and perfect. The service excellent. It's nice you can order a glass of wine or a glass and a half. Helps avoid ordering two glasses. This was our second visit. A lot of people told me it was a really good place to eat. My husband and I were seated pretty fast it was after lunch rush but waited awhile for the server. My husband got coffee it tasted sour I told the server it was sour and he said I don't know what that means but ok . We waited about 40 minutes for our food and the rice on both lunch bowls were cold . Was pretty disappointed with the service and the food considering it was $30 dollars for two people but I knew it was expensive. read more

We love PF Chang's and glad it has opened in Waco. Today they offered free lunch for veterans and I took my spouse. He served in Vietnam. Service was outstanding. Our waitress even gave my husband a card that the wait staff signed thanking him for his service. Great touch PF Chang's. read more

Great service, our waiter was very nice. unfortunately food took a while to get out and after eating three of the california rolls while they were good i noticed two hairs on one of them. made them seem very unappetizing. 2/5 would not come back again. EDIT. after the incident they took off the rolls from the check and gave us a free lava cake. very nice staff and very everyone else seemed to enjoy the other food. awesome place read more

You have taken the two vegetarian dishes that I eat off the menu. In today's society with the growing trend of people becoming vegans and vegetarians I can't believe you would actually cut the vegetarian options in half. Now instead of 4 there is only 2. I'm sorry but Buddha's feast is tasteless, bland and underwhelming and I can't stand the slimy texture of eggplants. This is ridiculous. I have dined at 2 other PF Chang location, 1 in Houston & 1 in Plano & have to say the one here in Waco left a lot to be desired. The food was just not as good, nor as plentiful. Both Houston & Dallas every main dish came with a rice or noodle side. Waco did not. We ordered the fried green beans as an appetizer& they came in clumps...not what I expected at all...& not what I was served at the other locations I've dined at. We ordered the Mongolian beef(which was covered in barely cooked green onions) & the Sweet & sour chicken. Both were edible but just lacked something. Our waitress was very very new. She really didn't know anything about the dishes or what comes with them & we kept having to flag her down. They voluntarily removed the appetizer from our bill and we were told that it was shown to everyone in the kitchen as a 'what not to do or serve'. We both ordered sweet tea & it was decent, but when our glasses were refilled we received peach tea, which wasn't horrible but when you aren't expecting it, wasn't great either. The waitress then took our glasses to the kitchen & asked others to test the tea because we had complained about it being too sweet & tasting like peaches...like we couldn't tell the difference between sweet tea & peach tea. When she returned, with new glasses of tea, she told us she had other people test it & said "you were right, someone mixed up the peach tea & sweet tea & it's too sweet because we don't put sugar in the peach tea". Yes, mam we already knew we were right. I'm hoping we caught them on a bad day & maybe , just maybe they can get more training in the food, preparation & knowledge. read more

We have eaten at P.F. Chang's a ton all over the US so we were super excited to see it open in Waco. We went for my birthday and while the food was excellent the service was out of this world. April was our server and while she was fantastic, all of the servers that stopped by our table to clear plates, refill drinks, or just chat embodied what true customer service is all about. While we have dined from one Star to five star restaurants across the country, we have never had such a phenomenal meal. The food, the ambiance and the people really made tonight a pleasure. My first experience with P.F. Chang's was in the Northern Virginia area. I recently relocated to Waco and was excited to visit this location. No doubt I was pleasantly surprised! The ambiance of the restaurant is perfect for date night, happy hour with friends, business dinners and family friendly outings. The restaurant was super clean and let me just say that the Agave Organic Margarita is the best in town!! The Tempura Cauliflower and Lettuce Chicken Wraps were to die for and the Mongolian Beef was superb. It's quickly become a favorite of our family! read more

I'm a fan of shrimp fried rice.....but not theirs. It had large clumps of white rice with a VERY little bit of seasoning. Flavor was almost non existent. Their pork egg rolls on the other hand are awesome. I highly recommend them. I'll be back, just not for the fried rice. The waitress, head chef, and manager were all too happy to make my entree over when they found out that I wasn't happy with it, and they each came to my table to apologize. I just want to start by saying that if I could put "no star" as the rating, that would be a more accurate rating of my experience. My family and I have wanted to try P.F. Chang's for a while and we finally got around to trying the new location in Waco, Texas. That was a mistake. We ordered 3 entree's: Orange chicken and brown rice, Crispy Honey Shrimp with brown rice, and sweet and sour chicken with brown rice. There was so much breading on each entree you wouldn't need to wear a winter coat. I ordered the food to go and it was cold and soggy. There was absolutely no seasoning on anything, everything tasted bland with sauce to cover up the terrible taste. The rice tasted like water. I have eaten at a lot of restaurants in my lifetime and this was the worst I've ever eaten, I was so disappointed that I couldn't even call to explain how I was feeling. My daughter was sick all night. My husband is a "Mikee", he eats everything and to see the expression on his face trying to eat this food was priceless. For the money we paid and the awful quality of food we received, I'd rather have gone to Panda Express where we would have had better food for less money in comparison. For a high end restaurant, this was extremely disappointing and waste of money. From the other reviews that I have read on this P.F. Chang's location, it seems like it is this low-quality food and disappointing experience is a consistently standard, which is completely unacceptable. To be honest, I am not going to try to find out if the terrible food is just the Waco location because I won't be back to that location or any others. Please beware and take tums, pepto bismol, and anything else to help your stomachs if you decide to visit this location. read more

I have waited a long time for this brand to come to Waco. The food is the best and the atmosphere and building are like nothing in Waco. I have been 3 times since they opened and have no complaints. Like any new restaurant there will be a few issues to work out but I have no complaints. Love the spicy eggplant with chicken added. Nice that they have a separate entrance for take out. Also I signed up for their rewards and have been getting awesome offers via email (20% off take out on Tuesday), etc. Worth the wait. read more

When we arrived at the restaurant it was obvious that they were overwhelmed with customers. This P.F. Chang's just opened up here in Waco and I've already been 3 times. The location is great, the building interior and exterior is beautiful and the food has been delicious every time. The only complaint I have it that a few of the wait staff haven't been very attentive and the kitchen seems to take over 30 minutes to get the entrees out. However, this is typical of a restaurant that has just opened up. I'm sure that within a few weeks they will be flawless. I will continue to visit this location with my wife as it has become our new favorite for Asian food. Be sure to sit with Tiffany in the bar, she'll make sure you're taken care of! read more

Absolutely horrible experience at this location. Have been to multiple locations but never treated as poorly as the Waco hostess and manager did yesterday. We arrived around 6:10 to a mostly empty restaurant and were ignored at the front of the house by the hostess for at least 10 minutes. When she finally got off her phone we told her that we were a party of five and she explained that it would be 15 minutes before we could get a table. There were at least six tables that could accommodate us but I figured that they were short staffed. We agreed to wait and wait, and wait and wait until she finally went to get her manager who came over and said that our table would be ready as soon as the the party of three left the booth right next to where we were standing. She wanted us to wait outside in the heat and said they would come get us. We decided to stay in the doorway to make sure we weren't forgotten The party of three left and despite having prepared the table right next to them for five, they continued to ignore us for 15 more minutes. I'm not sure why we waited since they clearly didn't care. After almost 45 minutes we left. They could have cared less. Not once did the hostess or manager come to check on us, or offer us some water, or give us a more comfortable place to sit. I understand during these times you might be short staffed but that doesn't excuse being rude and ignoring your customers. Give us real information to make a decision. I guess in the end you did give us information about the way you do business and now we can use that information to never visit you ever again. read more

This is an upscale Panda Express. I've never been to P.F Chang's, but there's always been a lot of hype around them, so I decided to give them a shot. Service was slow, but that can happen anywhere, so I don't really fault them for it (you never know what's happening behind the scenes that particular day.) When the entrees were brought out I thought it was a joke. People pay $15 for these plates? The peppered chicken was a small handful of sliced thin breasts with a few peppers tossed in. The Mongolian beef had good flavor, but not worth the price. The atmosphere is gorgeous and it's a nice clean, restaurant, but it doesn't make up for the mediocre food. read more

I was pretty excited for Waco to finally get a P.F. Chang's, unfortunately this location has a lot to work on. In the restaurant's defense, they've only been open a little over 2 weeks. However, that is no excuse for a full hour turnaround in the kitchen. The restaurant is currently sliding by since it is still "hot and new" to Waco, but they need to get their act together if they would like any returning customers. After a 45 minute wait (which was quoted accurately), a host actually bussed a table for us so that we could sit. This man was actually the most helpful and attentive person we encountered all evening. We were then seated, greeted and our drink orders were taken. The appetizers came out quickly, and we ordered entrees. It took a full hour to get 2 entrees. About 40 minutes in, I asked the same host about the hold up and he apologized and immediately alerted the manager. The manager took a little over 10 minutes to address us-- he was nice, but a little dismissive of the length of the wait. He comped a meal, which was a nice gesture, but obviously not the solution we were looking for. Comping a meal is not dealing with the problem, it is appeasement. 20 minutes later, we finally got our food. The food was really good. No questions. If you are okay with waiting 2 hours, by all means-- P.F. Chang's is a great choice. The waitstaff is great. It is obvious that they hired more mature and experienced waiters and waitresses. Throughout dinner, it was obvious that multiple other customers were having very similar experiences. Final thoughts: the kitchen needs major work, and the man at the host stand should be the manager. He is attentive, respectful, he listens and takes action, he is a problem solver, and an all-around better choice in all of our opinion. read more

The only down side is that we were seated in one of the two booths that have the table set up station next to them so while you're eating you feel that the staff are joining you. Hostess was extremely rude when we asked where we were on the list, and the bartender cussed in front of my 7 year old daughter and her friend because he was flirting and showing off in front of young girls. We left because we waited over 50 minutes when we were told 30-45. No one cared. This place has horrible service!! I love P.F. Chang's, and was looking forward to this stand alone. The waitress was nice, but not on her A game. I'm not sure she's ever opened a bottle of wine before and instead of pouring a glass of wine for the 3 of us, she said "tell me when." I will admit with 4 littles in tow, it was a bit crazy and my husband wasn't feeling well so we asked for 2 of our meals to be boxed to eat at the hotel. I started eating the pad Thai and then had to spit out what I was eating because it didn't seem right. Sure enough there was a big egg shell mixed in. Will still go back to P.F. Chang's in the future probably not this location as we were on vacation. read more

Kudos P.F. Chang's for having a separate gluten free menu. We enjoyed three main courses off the gluten free menu and one gluten free appetizer. We had issues with one of the main courses being overcooked. The manager took care of it immediately and even removed the item from our bill. My only complaint is the waitress should be trained better on the menu, drinks and especially the gluten free items. My husband had a question regarding saki and she couldn't answer it. We ordered gluten free and the waitress still brought us regular fortune cookies and also offered desserts off the regular menu. Had she been educated about gluten free customers, she could have made gluten free dessert suggestions and she would have made an up-sale and ultimately a bigger tip. I would think that P.F. Chang's would train their waitresses on the menu and drink items. The food was delicious and we will be returning soon. read more

The waitress was attentive although extremely busy. The crab Rangoon was so good! I would recommend this place for a nice date night dinner or any time you want a good meal. read more
