We visit PJ Marley's annually on our Christmas visit of Castle Noel. We always talk about trying something new- but can't! The food is too good. This time around we had burgers and their macaroni and cheese- delicious! We love the variety of beer on tap as well. The ambience is cozy and situated to view the cute Medina town square. We did not know that it was the special Christmas light up weekend. What a pleasant surprise.Love the fun and Christmas spirit atmosphere inside the restaurant. I'm pretty done with over charging for wings already. Head to the grocery store they are $7-8 for 12 FULL WINGS=24 of the "wing dings" the salad was a real good value. A huge pile of of lettuce, two little slices of onion and one half of a cherry tomato. Had to go back inside to get some things they had forgotten I just had a hunch. Decent atmosphere. Had a decent tap lineup. I came in around 7:30pm on a Sunday so it wasn't busy st all. But being from out of town, I like to sit at the bar in hopes to striking up conversations with either the bartenders or the others there at the bar. I got a hula pineapples cider ($5.99/cider) and ordered the buffalo mac n cheese. Took a hot moment for the bartender Phillip to attend to my food order...he seemed more interested in a blonde waitress there (hope he got her number! Lol) the food came quick, and was good but nothing to write home about. Phillip wasn't the most attentive with asking me for a cider refill, so I had to interrupt his flirting momentarily. Oops! Ask me how the mac n cheese was though...after it was all finished. Lol. So overall, atmosphere of the place was fun with it being an old bank, decent lineup of food, but with it being slow and the servers not very attentive with their flirtatious minds elsewhere, I wasn't as big of a fan as I would have been otherwise. I love their food so much like danggggggg. Little tip, ask for an extra side of sauce with the fried pickles. The fried pickles are literally amazing, service is pretty good along with wait time. The only reason I gave this restaurant a 4 star review is because their portions have really gotten smaller over the past couple of years and it's pricey. I've been to PJ Marleys a few times and the food there is AMAZING but the last time we went we were able to be seated right away but we sat there for around ten minutes with no one coming up to us to take our order for foodor drinks. No waiters we even looking in our direction and multiple people that were sat after us were served and orders had been taken. I know it was busy but no one even looked our way. We ended up getting up and going somewhere else but i'm seriously disappointed in PJ marlleys cause it is my favorite restaurant and the foos is so good read more

Many choices on the menu here. Quick service. Eating inside the restaurant during the covid pandemic felt safe. Plexiglass separated each table and group at the bar. Not a huge place so tables were limited. They have a air purifier in the back around a few tables. Masks were worn by all unless eating or drinking. Servers had a mask on at all times. Food was good. I had been very excited to try p j marleys as I had been told it was an amazing burger place! Personally I felt my burger was over seasoned with an odd seasoning. But the fries were delicious. I had a valentines drink special and I felt like I could drink way too many of these! They were delicious! Seating was very spaced out and the staff was very friendly. Great little spot on Medina Square! A greatly diverse menu with many options. The only problem you will have is finding what to order! I got the chili max and cheese and it was great. PJ Marleys is located in an old bank on the Square in downtown Medina. They are most famous for two things: the burgers and the vault. First the burgers: you can order a variety of burgers with a great many different toppings. They have quite a few choices, or you can build your own. A neat touch is that several burgers are named after the Medina Bees and other surrounding cities/mascots. For burgers, my preference is the Italian Stallion. You can also choose what type of bread, pretzel bun is my go-to. As for the vault, you can call ahead and reserve a the table in the old vault. It's a unique experience that kids will especially get a kick out of. PJ Marleys also serves unique twists on grilled cheese and mac-and-cheese; as well as a great Sunday brunch. My daughter and I decided to give this new place a try (on the advice of a fellow foodie from work). He raved about their burgers, so we felt up for the challenge. We ordered two burger platters and split them (to share / sample). We ordered a Longmire (bacon, cheddar, onion rings, BBQ sauce) and the President Carter (topped with chunky peanut butter). The Longmire was cooked to perfection, juicy and tasty. The President Carter was not really my style (even though i love peanut butter) but the burger and bun (pretzel) were very good. We ordered one burger with fries and the other with onion rings...both were a tad greasy but tasted great, especially the thick-cut rings. Drink prices were reasonable and the space where the restuarant is located (an old bank building including vault as a private seating area) was well put together. I'm not sure I'd make a special trip back down to Medina just for this place, but if I'm in the are again and looking for a casual place for good eats, this would be a good choice. read more

We stopped at PJ Marley's for lunch today. It is a local joint that used to be a bank in a former lifetime. You can call ahead to reserve a table inside the fault. Our waitress was Tracey. She had an 80s rockstar flair to her. She was very welcoming and gave great drink recommendations! We started with the Fried Pickle Chips for our table's app. They are lightly shaved pickle chips. They were cooked perfectly and had delightful crunch to them! The dill sauce was surprisingly very thin. It had great flavor though. For my entree, I had the Medina Bee Hamburger. You can select from 1/4 pound or 1/2 pound burger... I selected the 1/4 pound. It is topped with grilled pineapple, honey aioli, shasha sauce, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. For the bun, you get the choice of pretzel roll or brioche bun. I opted for the pretzel roll. I really wanted to like my burger, however it lacked the sting. The burgers come with homemade french fries as the side. To drink, I had Fathead's Sunshine Daydream IPA from their beer list. Each day of the week the bar has a different special too. read more

The ambiance is terrific, which makes you believe the back of house can deliver food of the same caliber and instead, you get nothing better than cold food and soggy fries. What a great little find this was as we passed through town traveling from Indiana to New York. Atmosphere. Set in an old bank the atmosphere was warm and inviting with the feel of a local neighborhood watering hole. Our bartender Mike was pleasant and engaging. Very attentive, without being overbearing. He immediately made us feel like regulars. Wife and I each ordered a burger, hers med well and mine med rare, Mike (the cook not the bartender) NAILED THEM! Food. I had the Highland Hornet burger. Excellent flavor profile. Loved what they did with smoked gouda and how the sauteed onions played with the sauce. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this burger. Wife had the Longmire burger. A well balanced burger with an amazing sauce without being over sauced. Drinks. I asked the bartender what he had local. His reply was "We have VERY local, local, and kinda local." I had VERY local which turns out to be made two guys in a garage a few blocks away. I made the right choice. I was also able to a very pleasant local bourbon. Overall. My future MIL and I stopped in late on a Friday evening for some grub. I am in Medina Square every 8 weeks or so but I have honestly never seen or heard of this place. How long has it been there? Anyway, her friend has been raving about it, so we gave it a try. My first impression was a pretty typical bar food establishment. It was nice and busy, but we were greeted immediately. We sat near the vault door and we both commented on the atmosphere. It was comfortable and casual. The menu was almost overwhelming- there were so many things I wanted to try! But once I saw something called donkey sauce, I knew I had to pick something with it. Our awesome waitress, Krista S. ran down the options which included it but also told me I could just get it as a side to dip fries in. Duh. She also cautioned me that it was addictive. (Donkey sauce is roasted garlic aioli) Mom ordered the Hawaiian Chicken Wrap and she said it was really good. It was a nice size and had big, meaty pieces of chicken. I ordered the Italian Stallion - a fat, juicy burger topped with swiss, pastrami, grilled onions, Cleveland stadium mustard, ketchup, and house made pickles. This was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The donkey sauce was an excellent addition to the crisp, delicious fries. Our meal was so satisfying, I kept eating after I was already full. THEN we talked about obviously coming back here for breakfast sometime. Perhaps sleeping there and just waiting for breakfast a few hours later? Our bill for 2 sandwiches, 2 sides of donkey sauce, and 1 iced tea was only $22.92. That is a great value. By far, my favorite dining establishment in the Medina Square area. read more
