Here's my take after my first visit. It looked like a cool place to get a latte as I was driving through Pacifica on my way back home to S.F. Found it on G Maps and decided to give it a try. Sorry to say, I won't be back for a second chance. My latte was probably one of the worst I've gotten anywhere. There was absolutely NO coffee flavor at all. As if they didn't even use espresso. First off, it was way too hot to drink when I got it, so I got back in my car and finally got to sip some after about 15 minute in the car to cool off. It was like drinking dirty water. I ended up just throwing it away when I got home. Their muffins are okay as well as the prices and food menu also looked good, but after a bad latte, I can't say I would go back to try anything else. read more

Where the coffee shop is located is pretty convenient when you exit out of the freeway; you see a train with the word; COFFEE on the top, it makes you wonder what they really make inside other than coffee. To top it off; their egg waffles were made great along with Nutella and condensed milk spread all over with whip cream in the middle; the taste was excellent. Their drinks were nicely well made too. Their inside interior is small but really cute too. Not too spacey but not too small. I wouldn't mind coming back here and I would recommend this to other people too! read more

A cute little coffee shop off of the 101 highway. we stumbled upon this after driving back to SF from a hike in Pacifica. We talked about wanting coffee on the drive home and saw the giant coffee sign and immediately pulled over. Its in a big parking lot and out of a repurposed train car (lol). Good and very quirky service. Super friendly and helpful to customers who aren't coffee snobs (aka us). Got an iced cold brew coffee with a splash of almond milk. Comes with ice made from coffee so it doesn't get watered down (score)! They use paper straws as well. Will 100% be back if ever in the area. read more

This place was so cute and so delicious!! Definitely a hidden gem. And walking distance to the beach. I got an oat milk latte and jalapeño cheese bagel with cream cheese, bacon, pesto, and tomato. It hit the spot this morning! I will be craving this again soon. Highly recommend! read more

UPDATE: 8/27/2017 I've been back several times now and can confidently say P-Town makes some of the best coffee around, plus they have very friendly employees. I recently popped by with my best friend who was visiting from another state. I tried something new - a soy latte - and my best got an iced chai, and we were both very impressed. I rarely get soy because it's always extra, but P-Town has consistent prices regardless of what milk you get (that includes Almond, too). Not only did it taste heavenly, but the barista managed to froth the soy milk so well, I got a cup of foam on the side! (I *LOVE* foam.) Drinks are great, outdoor seating is cute, and...the best part of all hasn't changed - it's a big red caboose. Amazing. ------------ Well-priced coffee in a bright red caboose - does it get any better?? I've been driving past P-Town Cafe for years and never got a chance to stop inside. Imagine my excitement when I finally did...! The barista was friendly and accommodating. I unfortunately had to go the 'decaf almond milk' route with my cappuccino (thank you, elimination diet) which resulted in a sad Nic, but the coffee still tasted good! There are also donuts and pastries galore, the option to turn bagels into breakfast sandwiches, and even a jar of coconut oil by the coffee condiments (nice!). We will definitely be back next time we're in Pacifica - and I can't WAIT to order a proper capp. read more

This tiny place is so cute! The owners are the ones running this little place and they are very nice and friendly. The prices are about the same as other boba/coffee/smoothie places. Their drinks are so delicious and they have a great selection for such a little place. What a cute spot! Me and my friend just came here this morning (Saturday around 10:30). So so so cute. I drive by this place every morning, but usually don't stop (I brew at home). But my brother is always coming here and talking about how great it is and how amazing and friendly the staff and owner are, and he's right. They are so friendly! Me and my friend even met some super cool nice ladies waiting for their order; we bonded over a mutual show we loved on Netflix("You"), and the staff even jumped in and we recommended her watch the show too. Seriously a great local spot to come enjoy some good people and coffee/food. It's a little cramped inside so prepare to get close to everyone! Great menu selection with fresh donuts at the counter to choose from. I ordered the chai tea latte with coconut milk, not my typical order but my firmed got it so I thought I'd try. It was pretty good but I'm more of a coffee person so next time I'll try something else, let me know you're favorite thing here because I know I'll be back to try (note: I did hear they're going under new owners, so I'm curious to see if the standard and friendly staff will stay the same!) read more

Cute little Unique Coffee spot! Great location right off the main road and let's face it we stopped because it's in a train. We walked in and were greeted by the baristas at the front, offered a couple of their new coconut coffee samples, coffee was a hit and bagels were over the top amazing. Who offers a Hot Cheeto Bagel!? No one other than PTown Coffee. No where to sit and enjoy so we took o ur bagels down to the beach and enjoyed it with a nice view. Located right at the intersection of highway 1 and Reina Del Mar this is a small super awesome coffee place located in a repurposed rail caboose. It's kinda hard to miss, as it's painted bright red, has a giant neon sign what screams(visually) "COFFEE" out in the darky darkness before dawn, is a rail car, and is literally right next to the highway. They have their own parking, which while being shared with some other small businesses never really fills up. If you are going to the not directly in front parking spot look out for car gouging dips in the lot. There isn't any seating -there isn't any room inside, and the bench outside is more decorative then practical. For a caboose it's quite spacious inside. A caboose was a type of rail car intended to serve as living quarters for the train staff. While no two were the same-there was no standardized design-the inside would typically be filled up with bunks, a kitchen area, and a small washroom/toilet. All of which has been removed by the owner, freeing up a surprising amount of space for a coffee counter, espresso machine, retail display and storage, microwave for pastries etc, display for pastries etc, cash register and in general a whole bunch of awesomeness. The coffee is america's best coffee out of oakland, and the barista (who was the owner on my visit) made a perfect latte. Perfect is hard to get right, but on my visit they nailed it. Pricing was less then the area standard. My small latte was less then two dollars, and was worth entirely every penny. This is a perfect stop for to go coffee with a super convenient right off highway location. read more

Unfortunately it was very bad. I had a regular latte. Hardly any espresso and zero (absolutely none-see picture) foam. It tasted like dirty hot milk. Wife had a almond milk latte-same thing. Couldn't taste espresso at all. A few big bubbles for foam, basically slightly beige milk beverage. We dumped them in the outside dirt and went straight to Beach Monkey Cafe. It's ten times better. Sorry P-Town. I was really wanting your little place to be good, but it was the little train that couldn't. read more

If I could give them more stars I totally would! Not only is this coffee shop ran by AMAZINGLY sweet and friendly people but the drinks and food makes this shop my favorite in Pacifica. The drinks are so festive and you can never really get bored! Plus they have a really good selection of bagels too. They also offer really good boba?!?!? What's not to love? I've tried 5 coffee houses in Pacifica -- and this is my favorite. Best tasting and convenient. And owner Lynn is terrific. And they have a "buy 9 and get the 10th free." I just moved to Pacifica and this will be my regular place for coffee. UPDATE 6/6/11: A few months have gone by since the review above and I have to tell you that there are mornings when I wake up and positively CRAVE the taste of one of Lynn's wonderful lattes. It is just the right mix of creaminess combined with the sharp edge of excellent fresh espresso -- and, no doubt, a little TLC. Also a big fan of the bran muffins, as well as the bagels, toasted just right (and open-faced, too -- thanks, Lynn!). I've met a lot of nice people there, too. P-Town is the true essence of what a neighborhood coffee place should be. read more

Just writing another great review on this great adorable place to get bite. Yesterday I tuck my best friend & co-worker there. We got breakfast bagels & coffees to go. The owner was there & tuck are order & we chatted with him. He's a great guy & fun to talk to as well. We work For Costco & the owner shops at Costco to. This is a great family place to go & you can eat outside & chill. I love this place & his staff are friendly to. My husband loves this place to & I brought him there today for lunch. AHHHHH!!!! I seriously cannot get over how cute this little place is! Oh my goodness. It's so adorable. It is SUPER small and there are only two seats, but don't let that stop you from going. Get the lox bagel, which comes with cream cheese, capers, onions, tomatoes, and of course, smoked salmon. I haven't tried their coffee, and I mentioned in an earlier review that I don't really like coffee when it isn't super sweetened, but I'll definitely try P-Town's if it gives me an excuse to go back! I did get a hot chocolate and I really liked it. Just try it. You won't regret it! read more

I've been going to P-Town for awhile and have always been happy with my coffees or breakfasts. The new owners are so sweet and kind and I love that they are constantly putting new items on the menu. I know some regulars are not happy since the new owners took over, but I would say give them another chance. Like others have mentioned, it is a small place and usually only have one or two employees working, so if you go and put in a large order, expect to wait awhile. In the meantime, go outside and get some fresh air! Definitely recommend! read more
