Danny is outstanding. He works very quickly without sacrificing quality. I've used other painters and contractors over the years, but he was by far the most professional, most communicative, and easily the most affordable. He does not try to up-sell you on things you don't need, although he will make sure to let you know if there are some extra services to consider. Extremely dissapointed! I contacted P5 Painting based on reviews on Yelp. I left a message requesting a quote and received a timely call back and set appt for a Sat to review work. This was an outside job for a 4 unit rental building that I do not live onsite. Estimate was received by date promised and price seemed okay. Company seemed to be on top of stuff for a small business so I decided to hire them. I met the project manager on-site the first day to review everything before they got started. This was going to be a 2 day job, which would require me to take a day off work since apartment doors to the tenants units would be open. This was to occur on day 2 of the project. Based on the weather forecast I called the manager to let him know weather was calling for rain the next day and if they thought they could work. I reminded him I was specifically taking the day off for this. He said it wasn't suppose to rain until the afternoon and we were still on. I was also told the original bid did not include two peaks on the property and this was going to be an additional $400. Following morning it was lightly spinkling so I called the manager and received no answer. I decided to head over since I didn't hear otherwise. Painters were not there at 8:00 am as scheduled. I called the manager at 8:15 and again at 8:30 when he finally answered. He was shocked that they were not here and said they were told to come unless there was heavy rain. Painters went to do an inside job instead. Based on weather it was to clear up shortly so he said painters would come at 11:00 am. I returned to the property at 11:00 and again no painters. I tried calling numerous times leaving messages including the main phone number with no answer. I finally received a call back at 11:50 am from the manager and was told they were on the way. Painter showed up at 1:00 pm by himself and didnt want to do the work for fear of rain. I showed him the weather forecast which was going to be clear for 6 hours. After going back and forth with him he finally started painting at 1:30. I left another message for the owner asking him to call me. I would have thought after receiving my call earlier in the day when I was frustrated for being left to sit and wait for a second time they would have immediately called back. The 2 stars is because the painters did do a good job on day one. Writing review as 2nd day work is in progress so I will update if needed. The customer service, lack of communication, respect for someone's time and failure to bid a job correctly is why 3 stars were removed. read more

Very deserving of their 5 STAR reviews! The p5 team were professional, courteous, accommodating and (the best part) affordable. We moved into a new home in January and never got around to repainting our interior walls until now. WOW- what a difference. I feel like I'm living in a new home again. I've been working with P5 Painting for over 10 years at multiple properties - he's done custom stuff for our home and other rental properties as well. Danny and his team are fantastic - estimates are fair, he always highlights risks before the job is completed and honestly, they do an amazing job, every time. I'm very selective about vendors for our rental properties, but even more so with our personal home and children's rooms. Every person on his team that's done work for us has been efficient, dependable, professional, etc.. you can't go wrong with them. Highly recommend!! We recently purchased a townhouse in June and the paint colors were awful! We had Danny and his crew re-paint the entire townhouse and it was a great experience! We had a tight time window as we were also replacing a lot of flooring and wanted to get the painting done after the old floors had been removed and prior to the installation of the new flooring. Danny was really accommodating and was able to complete the entire job in one day including patching/repairing of the drywall. It's amazing the difference a fresh coat of paint can make and our home looks so much better now. I called 7 painting companies all based on good Yelp reviews. P5 was one of the few that either answered the phone or called back and also quoted a reasonable rate for the job. My experience with contractors has varied but these guys have tipped the scale back to favorable. They were on time, professional, efficient, fairly priced, got the job done quickly. I suspect one issue with not too many calling me back was the small scale of the job I needed done. P5 was willing to do it, squeeze it in between other larger jobs, that's ideal for them and for me. We were so happy with P5's first paint job, that we recently referred them to our condo association to paint the shared interior common areas for our building. P5 did a fantastic job, especially considering the very high ceilings of our building. In addition to painting the walls and the trim, P5 even touched up the staircase railings without an additional charge. The work was completed within the estimated time frame and the workers did an excellent job of keeping the space clean both during and after the work was completed. After the condo building common areas were completed, we used P5 again to do additional painting in our unit. We had both our kitchen and living room painted and next we will be using P5 to paint our kitchen cabinets. I would recommend P5 to any potential clients...they really can handle painting jobs of any kind! read more

I'm an interior designer and I see a lot of painters. A lot. And P5 is the best I've found. Prices are very, very reasonable, everything is clean, and the job is great or they fix it. P5 is who I call whenever I need something done. They just finished my house - and I am so excited about how perfect it is. I couldn't find one spot - not one! that needed touch up - even though they asked me to please check everything over before they left. In contrast, the same day they finished I had spent on a job site where the contractor used his own painter and I spent two hours explaining and marking everything that needed to be redone. Just completed our 4 or 5th project with P5. Danny is always super responsive and flexible with get a proposal quickly. I can text, email, etc. The latest project was a new bathroom with some tricky decorative moulding behind the tub and some built in shelving. He made suggestions on paint color and the results look terrific and professional. Matched a door stair too. We were working with a short 4-day window between closing and move-in, so it was essential that everything worked with a glitch. Danny and his crew were very responsive. We went over color choices, I gave them a spare key, and crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Well, they transformed the space! I have used P5 (Dan) at least 4 times in the past 6 years. My wife and I purchased a condo 6 years ago and Dan did an awesome painting every room in the house. He is easy to work with, shows up when he says he will be there and is very trustworthy. This condo is now a rental property for us as we have moved to the suburbs. Between renters Dan has done patchwork to fix any damage renters have caused and then repaints for me. His pricing is excellent, but I would use him even if he doubled his price because his services are well worth it. Dan has also painted my parents home and my in laws home. read more

We just moved into a new apartment and the living room was...peach. A peachy-orange. Okay, it was off-white but an off-white that bugged me to no end with how warm and blah it was. Enter P5. I'd never hired painters before, but with all the eaves and trim and windows in there, I knew I needed a professional. I called around and picked P5 honestly because Danny was great with scheduling a consultation right away. They were also very flexible when I had to reschedule because a trip out of town meant we weren't able to chose paint in time for our first appointment. He even helped me with my color choice when I mentioned how worried I was that it would come out too blue (I wanted a very neutral grey.) We just had one painter (Francisco) from P5 but you wouldn't know it from how quickly it went and how amazing my seemingly new living room looks! Danny's estimate was right in the ballpark, and he was so communicative throughout the whole process. And of course, the biggest endorsement is that I am so pleased with the results.
