Alissa is super rude. Not sure what that girl's issue is but it was the worst customer service I have experienced in awhile. She couldn't find one of the items on her computer screen that I was trying to return so she refused to return it. There are other negative reviews for her so I know I'm not the only one with an issue. Huge attitude for no reason and made me read off all the items on my return list to her one by one. Unreliable hours! How do we know if they are open or not? Yelp says they are open until 10pm on Saturdays, their website also says this location is open on 10 pm on Saturdays. We went at 8pm on Saturday and the doors were closed. There were employees inside, but they signaled to us that they were closed without giving any explanations. Did not even try to talk to us. While it is understandable that unexpected things come up that may cause unscheduled closures, but it would be nice to at least update their hours when this happens so that people don't travel for no reason. I almost never leave a negative review but unfortunately I drove +45 minutes just to pickup an item at this location. Their hours on Google say they close at 8pm on Saturday and their hours on their website say they close at 10pm on Saturday. The employees were still inside but turns out they closed and locked the door around 6PM on a Saturday. Please keep in mind I also tried calling their listed numbers on Google AND their website several times beforehand to confirm their hours and the one on Google didn't work and the one on their website only rings once and automatically hangs up. They may have really nice employees so I'm not one to try and cancel someone. It always pays to "window-shop". Late one night, after grabbing a smoothie at Pinkberry a couple stores down, I spied a little sun/beach dress in the lit windows of this Pac Sun store. It literally jumped out at me, saying "I'm perfect for the wedding you have this weekend! Buy me! You don't have anything like me at home!" Thank goodness the store was closed. I really showed my shopping addiction who was boss. Cut to two days later, I just happen to be biking around Santa Monica and I find myself "magically" in front of the Pac Sun store again. Staring at that lovely little dress. Fine. I'll go in, just to see if they have it in my size. From the moment I entered, I knew this wasn't your typical promenade retail shop. Not only was everyone truly accommodating and sincere, they actually were doing their jobs. All the merchandise was arranged well, the store was clean and inviting, and, above all, a steal! I would much rather spend my money on beachy basics here than at the H&M or Forever XXI in this same location. First, the Salesgirl checked all over the store and in the back for my size, and then she and the manager removed the actual dress off of the mannequin for me to try on! Don't think they do this for you at any store, because they don't. Displays are displays, and it's usually a "look-don't-touch" policy. They may have been changing out their mannequins that night - but still, most retail employees won't check and see if they can take a form down early - trust, me, I know, I was one. Easy transaction where I felt like I was actually valued as a customer? Check. $39.50 for a sundress that kept me cool and cute in the hot Texas sun? Double check. I recommend this Pac Sun than your typical mid-tier Pac Sun store. 3 Reasons: - Location is in Santa Monica meaning that you will get the most up to date sun wear, and variety - clean, tightly knit store and spacious - friendly floor associates I came here to pick up some premium RVCA T- Shirts and I noticed that they offer more premium printed T's than other locations. When i was looking at some Quicksilver shorts, I appreciated the associate explaining to me the difference between other brand shorts, of size and style which gave me ideas before I decided on a purchase, also the chick who helped me at the sunglass case had no problem with me checking out the entire case. I would've gave this location some stars if wasn't for that cashier who kinda had an attitude when I asked if or when they would get more RVCA BJ Penn T-shirts and he did not even say "thank you" when I ended up spending about $250 worth of stuff here it was just receipt here and go! But everyone else who worked the floor were cool but this cashier dude needs to work the basement. The Pac Sun on Third Street is a couple tiers nicer than what we've all come to expect from this neighborhood mall staple. - I honestly expected for the staff here to be your run-of-the-mill retail store kids (i.e. deadpan & disinterested), but to my surprise, their service wasn't half bad. They were friendly, helpful, and even offered to find some items in my size before I even had to ask. I only wish that the checkout process was a bit sped-up; it seems as though there's always only one cashier working at any given time. - This Pac Sun carries the new Fear Of God collaborative collection, "FOG". Unfortunately, the stock for this brand is limited to just one rack located towards the front of the store. Thus, don't expect for the selection to be all that plentiful. In addition to FOG, this Pac Sun is usually in on the action when it comes to limited releases (Yeezy Boosts, etc.). This is worth keeping in mind when you're trying to hunting down those hard-to-find kicks & apparel on the Westside. read more

This was literally the worst experience I have ever had in the history of retail store customer service. The last time I was here, maybe couple wks ago, they had about 20 minutes til closing but they still said I could try on the clothes I had..not 2mins in, they kept banging on the door saying that they're closed, the registers are closed, & they won't sell me anything, so I ended up with nada! So Today I come back & within the first five minutes I end up losing one of my favorite rings & nobody gave a dam. From that point on I pretty much got harassed & discriminated with Snapping snooty remarks, ignoring my questions, telling me I couldn't look through a set of t-shirts, 45mins til closing, because he had just folded them therefore I'd be making his job harder. PFinally When i was ready to try on my items, they had 3 workers standing at my door, making note of each item, color, size, they 'ALLOWED' me to try on. Meaning THEY CHOSE which items of clothing I was can try on. I asked why I couldn't try on the ones I wanted to try on together, anything I said was irrelevant to them. As well as, not letting me try on All the clothes they held. Instead they were taken to the register for me to purchase. Never in my Life had I been treated so poorly. Treated as if I were a thief or something. Rather then walking out Idk why I felt the need to prove to them I'm really there to shop, spending close to $400. The single one working is manned by someone who appears to be in training. Manager busy working on his computer. After standing there for ten minutes and trying to catch his attention so he would see the line that has formed, i finally asked if he could open another register. He simply said "I can't. You have to wait til trainee gets done". Just grumpy, grumpy, grumpy from top to bottom. Except trainee who was doing a good job of fending for himself. They have brands like Kendall and Kylie, PS basics, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, etc. I came in looking for a present for my cousin who lives in Hawaii, and she's really into swim suits. I was taken to a small selection of swim suits from a girl named Tatiana. She was really helpful, and helped me choose different styles for my cousin. They had a wide selection, way more than the mall I go to. Maybe because no one wears that brand out in Santa Monica... haha. I love this store, and I always have for the last 15 years. I had a blast today and yesterday at that store and it was because of the staff. I always love their options anyway, so the clothing is what draws me in - but the staff is what makes me keep coming back, bringing my friends with me, and peaking in on the collection online to go try things on in the store. I was buying swimsuits for an upcoming vacation (in less than 1 week, so I was kind of in a hurry), and the sweetest girls came to my rescue. I didn't have time to try things on so, with the help of an employee there, I grabbed several and bought them to take home and try on (because they have a great return policy so you can do stuff like that). Then I realized when I got home that the suits weren't fitting correctly for my body type. So I called in at 7 pm, and Holly helped me sort through their entire selection of suits to set aside styles and sizes for me to come try on today. She was so patient with me and worked with me through my ridiculous descriptions of items that I was seeing online to help me find them in her store. She ended up setting aside 8 suits for me, all of which were so much fun and would have totally been perfect if my body had been a bit more where I want it to be at. Anyway, I ended up finding a perfect suit for me, and it saved me from searching elsewhere (as I had already gone to 6 stores on the promenade to try to find a suit and was unsuccessful). I love this store, the staff are all so sweet and genuinely seem happy to be there. That is what I like to see in a store that is so packed on a daily basis, where you wouldn't normally expect great customer service due to sheer volume of customers. Thanks guys! read more
