Wholeheartedly recommend this business. After dealing with our insurance company and their…read morerecommended vendor for 5 long months, we gave up. Decided to check out Absolute Flooring based on reviews. Glad we did. Very nice and easy to work with. The floors were ordered and professionally installed by long-time employees. Easy peasy and grateful for this gem of a business. The owners, Betty and Sam, are great to work with. Though our kitchen was a small job, we felt well cared for and a priority.

I have used AF for many years for many projects before the current owners took over. Patrick (…read moreoriginal owner) was detailed, fair & did a good job. That was until he decided to sell to the current owners & he pretty much stopped caring. I had the misfortune of getting work done as the business was changing hands. I had wood steps redone & replaced my kitchen floor with what was supposed to be water resistant vinyl plank flooring. The installation was not great, (dents in frig etc) & the the vinyl started to come up along the edges of the planks within two years in spite of my diligence in keeping it dry. I called Sam to look at it to get it replaced or redone. I did not expect it to be comped, done for free or anything like that, but I did expect him to work with me. He saw the work on the steps & the kitchen & immediately started making excuses- I fired all those guys- Those were Patrick's people etc. with no attempt to work with me to repair the kitchen. He kept repeating that he fired those guys & has new crews. There was no attempt to make it right, to try and fix or replace the damage. He clear didn't want to be bothered & blew me off. Well it's been a few years & my floors which should have lasted 20 years, haven't made it. At seven years, I'm going to need to replace them again thanks to poor workmanship & & an owner that does not stand behind the work his company does. When you buy a business, you buy the goodwill as well as the guarantees. You follow up. I bought during the transition so I was screwed but it says something about the integrity of the owner, that even though he acknowledged the horrible workmanship, he made no effort to make it right or work with me. It was a huge amount of money, not sure I can afford to start over but I do know that it won't be with Sam & Absolute Flooring.

I recently purchased flooring for my 2,550 sq. ft. home remodeling project from Floor Outlet &…read moreMore, and I had a great experience. Raman was exceptional throughout the entire process. He was always available at the store, responded promptly to my emails and phone calls, and patiently answered all of my questions. He also helped me secure a discounted price, including a $0.50 per square foot Mirage rebate, which saved me a significant amount. If you're looking for quality flooring at competitive prices with outstanding customer service, I highly recommend Floor Outlet & More. Be sure to ask for Raman--he made the entire purchasing process smooth and stress-free.

Great quality and friendly service…read more Our re-flooring was part of our house remodeling project to replace carpet floor with hardwood though out the house, footage was about 2,500sf including two stories and stairs. Hesam and his team was very professional. Hesam promptly came in our house with measurement and estimate of materials and labor, low priced and honest. Hesam helped us to select solid hardwood floor that matched up with small part of our existing hardwood floors. The hardwood floor materials (floorings, reducer and stair nose) are high quality made in USA. The service team lead by Leo were very talented, friendly and hard working. They were very efficient from hauling the old carpets, well preparing the floor (fixing weak and squeaking spots) before installation, I really appreciate the craftmanship of installation, specifically the stairs and seamless flushing of all the transitions between the hard wood and existing floor bases (entrance marble, existing hardwood floors, three ceramic bathroom floors and the exit to our sunroom) which made the whole floor looked so beautiful through out the house.

This is a very delayed review- I had my hardwood floors redone by Peninsula Floors last year, but I…read morestill find myself thinking about the experience so I decided it might be helpful to others to share. The bottom line is that the bulk of the work was good, I'm overall satisfied with the results, and am glad that we got the floors refinished. However, there were several details about the experience that would make me hesitate to recommend Peninsula to friends or others looking to redo their floors. - I was initially quoted ~7-8 working days to redo the floors. The initial work actually took closer to 13 working days, and it took another 7 working days on top of that to complete followup items after I reviewed the initial work. To be fair, I was traveling for about 5 of those working days during some of the initial work and probably caused a bit of delay in my own responses being slow, but I also don't think that all of the delay was due to myself. - When provided stain samples, I was initially provided the wrong names corresponding to the samples. This was only noticed because I asked for another set of samples in another area of the house and was confused as to why the colors varied so much, and asked about it- otherwise it's very possible I would have selected a completely different color than what I intended. - There was some damage done by the sander to our metal stair railing, which they did patch up with paint, but it's still visible where the damage was. Also, initially only some of the stairs in the home had the scotia trim replaced- when I asked the ones where the previous paint clearly showed they also used to have trim, they just added it to all of the stairs regardless of which ones did or didn't have it before. There was also a tricky area in a closet that I said I would be okay not refinishing, and instead it was sanded but not refinished due to not being able to get into that area- I would have just preferred the initial topcoat wasn't removed in that case, because that area is now just unprotected wood. None of these details were mentioned to me or provided as project updates until I asked about them. - Lastly, after I had sent the final payment through, I realized some of our doorstops were missing after having been removed from the trim to not get in the way of the sanders. I asked where the team may have left them so I could reattach them and got no response. It's not a big deal, they were less than $5, but later, after moving in, I also asked about if there were cleaning/maintenance products they would recommend and also got no response. Being completely ghosted after having dealt with some of the difficulties mentioned above really left me feeling like they totally wrote me off as a customer and was not a pleasant way to end the project. I think they do decent work, but I suspect they're a bit stretched thin and smaller/less important jobs are not supervised as much and don't seem like they have the same quality bar. If I were to do it again, I feel like I would have been happier supervising more closely from the start. Edit- I appreciate Juan's response (below and privately), however I do want to make clear that not everything was addressed as I was told they would be. For example, for the incompletely sanded and unfinished area of the closet I mentioned above, I was told it would at least have some form of finish applied, which never happened. There were a few other details like this, but at some point it was no longer worth my time to chase them down especially as we were getting close to our move in which we initially thought we would have far more buffer for.

We needed to refinish our 61 year old red oak floors. Researched who could safely do it. We picked…read morePeninsula Floors and couldn't be any happier. Just was wonderful to work with and was very honest and upfront to what the finished product would look like. We agreed the natural color would look best. It took about 10 days and the results were amazing. It turned out way better than my highest expectation. Also need to point out we previously had new 5 inch baseboards installed and virtually no damage to them. They keep us abreast of what the progress was. Juan and his crew are the very definition of professional.
