Dropped a package off of FedEx over here in Pacheco and went down the road to In-N-Out. Line was around the block almost bunch of lemming sitting there waiting for their cheeseburger. I dipped out and went over to this drive-through spot on the corner that somebody had told me was good. I believe it was the owner who was at the drive-through window filled up my water cup flash for me and even asked if I wanted ice which I thought was nice so I gave him a little $2 tip after I ordered and he was super polite to me and thankful. I ordered a super quesadilla with carnitas. Superfire authentic tasting and not your typical quesadilla I can't really explain it but it was delicious. The sour cream and cheese and tortilla and the cilantro etc etc it all came together in such a brilliant experience. I'll definitely be back again. read more

Decided to try this place based on word of mouth and a facebook food page. I'm sooooooo glad we did because it was amazing! They had the taco Tuesday deal tonight. 1.89 soft tacos. We got a variety of chicken, pastor, and carnitas. The chicken was seasoned and marinated perfectly and my boyfriend said the pastor was the best he's had. The cilantro and onion topping on the tacos were really fresh. The green salsa was also incredible. The chips were warm and tasted homemade. We wish we had ordered more lol. The food at this Mexican grill is good, and I would normally give it 4 stars as it isn't the best Mexican food I have had in the area but they have a drive-thru, how many Mexican restaurants do you know that have a drive-thru? I only know one, this one. The service is super fast and very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is no indoor seating just outdoor and the drive-thru, it is a small restaurant, that is more like a food trunk that is in the building instead of a truck.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got a shredded chicken super burrito and a crispy taco. I wasn't a fan of the salsa on the taco but really liked their spicy salsa, so I will ask for that next time on the taco. The burrito was filling, the rice could use a bit more seasoning but still tasted wonderful. I will definitely be back to try more menu items. It is a nice and convent restaurant that makes good food and it isn't a chain. The prices were also very decent, a little cheaper than other Taqurias around. Came here because me and my hubby have been trying to find our go to spots since we recently moved to Martinez. We've tried pretty much everything in this area. This was the last place we tried, and it was honestly the best place we've been to this far. We both got super wet burritos, and my husband got Carne Asada. I got chicken and the problem with getting chicken is that it's always dry. Not this place. The chicken was juicy and tender and delicious. I asked for a grilled jalapeño the guy at the window who helped me actually gave me too, and he was super friendly and nice. This was a great little find in concord. I love that they have a drive through and a walk up and order place. It reminds me of an LA taco shops building. It's small and only one person working but my food was ready pretty quickly. There isn't any indoor seating but there is some outdoor seating. I ordered Crispy shredded chicken tacos, and a carne Asada burrito. Both were really good and were seasoned well. The burrito was my favorite because it was huge and it had a ton of fresh ingredients in it. Fun spot will go again. read more

OKAY I've lived in Martinez basically all my life but whoever owns this spot now has made it AMAZING. THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE AND DELICIOUS. Customer service was sooooooo polite and kind. Hot sauce was on point (but you have to pay extra for more). Only thing i would ask for is more cilantro and a little less salt. BUT I AM DEFINITELY COMING BACK because these burritos are the only ones around here that are close to anything I've ever liked before. read more

Located just a walk away from California Grand Casino and Paddock Bowl, Rancho Grande Taqueria is in a center that doesn't really appear to have much going on in the center itself. And considering that right across the street there's a Los Panchos, and just down the road another taqueria, there's no shortage of competition in the area. From the outside, because it's mostly a drive through stand, with a very small walk-up counter, it's not exactly a place you'd dine at for the aesthetics. However, aesthetics aside, what it lacks in decor it makes up for in their food. First, a bit of history with this spot. I had been here years ago when they had first opened up. The experience back then was not great and rather forgettable, and I had not been back since. Through the grapevine I've learned that there had indeed been an ownership change, and I had promised myself to give it another try because of it at some point. Now was as good of a time as any. The service was good. The staff was friendly, and no specific issues here. I do want to note that if they get busy, it may be a slight wait, as there appeared to only have been one person in the front handling all three different windows (order counter walk-up, order count drive-thru, pick-up counter. I felt bad watching the one employee in the front run back and forth, but I assume this may be due to staffing issues as a result of COVID, so patience will be something you may need while visiting. Pricing wise, they're okay. Some of the basic items are on par with the other places around, but the more premium specialties are slightly more expensive than places like Los Gallos, but probably the same with Los Panchos. Full disclosure, I came here today for Taco Tuesday, $1.59 tacos, so in that regard, pricing was great. Let's get to the food. Admittedly, when I first got the plate of the 6 soft tacos I ordered for Taco Tuesday, I was a bit hesitant at first, because thinking that 6 of them could fit onto that plate made me dread I was going to get skimped on the portions. But after getting home, and opening up the foil on the plate, I was satisfied to see that the tacos were actually all scrunched together into cups to fit onto the plate, but the amount of meat that occupied each of those tacos were aplenty, mostly importantly, delicious. I got 2 grilled chicken, 2 pastor, and 2 shredded chicken. My favorite one was definitely the shredded chicken. The way they shred the chicken here is more akin to the chicken being pulled off from the main piece, rather than just chicken that have been completely shredded to pieces that doesn't feel as rewarding when you bite into it. I typically don't like shredded chicken too because of how dry it is, but the shredded chicken here is anything BUT dry. Word of caution, if you plan to try and eat the shredded chicken cleanly, there is no chance, so be ready to be a bit sloppy while you snack on this tasty dish. The pastor was my second favorite. Flavors were nice, meat was well done and not dry, and just was well made. Least favorite was the grilled chicken, while it tasted good, was a bit on the dry side, but not as dry as many other places would usually do grilled chicken. Was good, but not as good as the other two. Final verdict, I will definitely be back again at Rancho Grande. While even during times when lockdown is over, there's not much seating in front of the order counter, so it's mainly still just a drive-thru kind of ordeal. You won't be coming here for the ambience, but definitely will be here for the tasty food. While Taco Tuesday will be my primary times back here again, I do look forward to trying out some of their other dishes now that I know their meats are actually well made and delicious. Definitely a case of don't judge a book by its cover. read more

My favorite drive through. They allow you to make choices and this is the only drive through I know that has Chile verde which is full of meat and a great sauce. I get the burrito bowl with lettuce on the side so it isn't soggy when I reheat it. Big enough for lunch and dinner. Service is fast and friendly. Location is easy to find across from Paddock Bowl. They do have some outdoor seating but I have always gotten my food to go. read more

First off I will say I judged this place from how empty the drive thru is on a daily basis. I hardly ever saw people there so I assumed it wasn't that great. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since there are 2 other restaurants less than .2 miles from here. I won't be returning. Only offered chicken and pork for the Taco Tuesday special $1.89 tacos. I went for steak! I didn't expect huge portions for the price but I did expect to at least be able to have a choice. She also put Chile all over them when I asked for no Chile. Although I will say they weren't even a tad bit spicy, they were very bland and the chicken taste like something you'd get from one of those microwave able kits at a Mi Pueblo frozen section. But in fact that frozen meat taste more flavorful. $4 for a "medium" size horchata is too much. $13 for a super burrito that is bland and mostly filled with rice was too much since 90% of the burrito was rice. $29+ for 6 tacos, a horchata and a super burrito on a taco Tuesday. Only 2 tacos were eaten, and a few bites of the burrito. The horchata was the only thing we finished. Lacking flavor and the salsa isn't even spicy, a bit too pricey for the quality. I'd much rather eat at our usual Taqueria Extra near the Togos and Lucy's. It has the best Mexican food around our area that I have tried so far. read more

The food and service here are wonderful! I enjoy the nacho Friday special and their burritos! My mom can't have much of any food due to medical complications but her and her caretaker come here for side order of just cooked meat just as a snack since she can't have tortilla or the other ingredients. Pacheco's is a nice eatery with Mexican cuisine. It's located at the intersection of Pacheco Blvd and Center Ave. They have a very convenient drive-through, which is how most customers order their food here. In my case I decided to sit down at one of the three tables in front. I ordered shrimp tacos and lime Jarritos. For a late breakfast as today it was a perfect meal. The sauce was hot but not burning. And the meal was light just what I wanted. I was helped by a friendly guy Logan. He cares about his customers as he carefully put away a jacket that another customer had forgotten. Between the customers Logan also ran around the building removing random trash. To me, these were the signs of properly managed business. I definitely recommend Pacheco's. read more

We got 12 tacos and large Horchata drink $44.00 But it was disgusting the carnitas are boiled pretty much reminded me of cooked food sitting in hot water dishes all day! Rating strictly on the food as I don't expect godly cleanliness or great service from a drive thru taqueria in this particular neck of the woods (health inspection is a 'conditional pass'.) Service is walk-up or drive thru. The first window is broken and there's a tore up paper sign that says to keep going. It's really slow so don't expect fast food level speed. The regular Asada taco is $2 and what they call a Super taco is $5.50. The difference is, they add cheese, sour cream, and guacamole (which is more of a guac salsa than it is a guac). The add-ons don't exactly compute to $3.50 more in my opinion. They're just toppings. They do seem to have a $1 taco Tuesday which sounds very reasonable. Taste: it's Mexican food alright, but pretty bland. The Asada is a grayish color instead of the grilled brown I'm used to. The portions are big though, and it came with big bags of tortilla chips. I probably won't come back considering there are so many options within a few miles. read more
