Delicious and authentic Mexican food and tacos at this street spot! Among some of the best and a good stop for visitors in LA! I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. AMAZING food! Visited twice so far (latest: May 2026), and had the queso burrito with carne asada both times. I've been meaning to try the other items on their menu, but it was so good the first time that I had to order it again. The portions are *very* generous, and they had the usual sides readily available on the side: lemons, cucumbers, sliced radish, grilled onions and peppers, etc. Also had a bite of their corn quesadilla... the tortilla was soooo good. honestly, i was so disappointed with this taco stand. With all the reviews, we thought it was going to be a good spot. It started off bad when no one helped us get started after standing around for awhile. Maybe we came on a bad day but they were so stingy with the portions. The al pastor taco had like 5 pieces on there but I noticed the people before us and after were loaded. I had to ask for more meat for my asada because I wasn't having it anymore. They didn't toast our tortillas either (usually the places we go they do that but not sure if that's a regular thing or not). The tacos were not that good and the service sucked. I checked out Angel's Tijuana Tacos on a Saturday night after hitting a bar. Parking is limited and there may bit of a wait, but the food makes it worth it. The al pastor stands out as the item to get here. The meat packs a ton of flavor and feels very hearty. I ordered an al pastor burrito with no rice and beans. Crazy but the burrito was delicious. The flavor gets a little repetitive towards the bottom half without those extra layers, but every bite hits the spot. I will definitely be back for more. read more

Villas Tacos at Grand Central Market is such a vibe. Their regular menu already hits every time, but the daily specials make it even better. Tried the blue tortilla pollo nachos and they were super bomb -- packed with flavor and honestly hard to stop eating. The whole atmosphere there makes the experience too, especially with all the outdoor seating and fresh air. Perfect lunch spot to just relax, eat good food, and enjoy the vibes from Downtown LA. The best street tacos in LA, in my opinion. This place is only about 2-5 minutes from Dodger Stadium depending on traffic, and it's always one of my stops if I'm in LA for Anime Expo or just doing a late-night drive around the city. They're open until 1 AM which makes it even better. All of the employees are nice and patient when ordering. The cabeza tacos and cabeza quesadilla are what you come here for. The cabeza literally melts in your mouth and is by far my favorite thing on the menu. I would skip the asada though. Every time I've had it, it's been way too salty and hard to eat. The drinks are also really good. The horchata and guava drink are the best ones they have. I wasn't the biggest fan of the strawberry drink. It's still good, but not nearly as good as the horchata or guava. I've been here multiple times and always end up ordering the cabeza. If I could go back here tomorrow without feeling guilty and my stomach hating me, I would. But too bad they're closed Mondays! Never been a fan of burritos until recently.. I haven't had a good pastor yet (we used to go to Leo's but not as good as they claim) but oh man.. the pastor here is so tender and juicy and flavorful and I could go on. We got a queso burrito with a mix of pastor and carne asada (per our friend's recommendation), and we also love cabeza (the one from the taco stand on Melrose in front of Pavilions is yumm) and this one wasn't as oily/fatty so I felt less gassy after eating it lol. I love that they offer a good amount of seating. But no water bottles which caught me a bit off guard but we got to try their pineapple juice which was not overly sweet and refreshing. The service was fast and friendly, they got busy as soon as we found a spot at the table (tip: bring a fold up chair if you can, the table is big but only 6 chairs!). Parking was fairly easy to find, and because we fat we ended the night with some mini pancakes with fruits from the stand next door. So happy to have found this spot. Not exactly in my neighborhood, but a quick 6 minute drive without traffic! I went at 9 p and there was a line but it moved quickly. I believe are open until midnight so that's a great option for a midnight snack. I got two asada and one pastor and honestly had to wait to eat the last asada taco because they give such hearty servings of meat! The tortillas are fresh and you have the option to add cheese which they melt onto the tortilla, I'll have to try that next time. This is an outdoor pop up style location but they have a table and some chairs for you to eat at. These are some great LA street tacos!! There's always a crowd here and for good reason. The tacos are cheap, delicious, and sizable. They also accept multiple payment methods including card and even Venmo. You start by ordering either a regular or cheese-filled taco (highly recommend the cheese taco!). The cheese gets cooked straight on the flat top and the tortilla gets added on top. Then you pick your meat and toppings. They also have other options like burrito, quesadilla, loaded potato, nachos, etc. I tried one carne asada (steak), one chicken, and one al pastor (pork with pineapple) cheese taco. All the meats were juicy and well seasoned. The toppings were fresh and I just loved the cheese in the taco. It got super crisp on the flat top and added a lot of flavor to the taco. Another thing I appreciated was that the tacos were filled with a lot of meat. They were overflowing with meat so definitely get a fork with your tacos (and lots of napkins).
