Here's my question why did you make me do it on the machine when you cut it simply did it at your station They're trying to force us into using these kiosk behind me. Three older women walked in all in the same boat alternating help. Wood is here just to do them at your station or rather than one by one at these kiosk I'm not a fan of self check-in. It's great for some people, but you shouldn't force it on everyone. On the plus side, I arrived early it was taken back from my x-ray. Early technician was extremely professional was in and out in less than three minutes.

This is how it is dealing with Scripps and healthcare in 2026. Beware of Scripps Health! This is an elaborate money-making scheme where they assure you that you will not be billed for things and then perform services that aren't needed for insane prices. They then threaten to send you to collections because the services they provided (that no one asked for and they recommended) were not actually covered by your insurance. We took our three healthy children to the doctor for an annual wellness check. They were not sick, had no complaints and did not have any specific reason to go to the doctor other than a simple annual wellness check. We were not at the clinic for more than an hour but somehow Scripps racked up a bill of over $4,000 -- just for a simple wellness check!? Insurance only covered a small amount and now they're threatening to take us to a collection agency over these unwanted and unrequested "services" because they said the physician they assigned to us was "not in network." How are we supposed to know one physician at your office would be covered by our insurance but the other one you assigned to us is not? Before going to Scripps, we called in advance to ask our insurance company if Scripps did a free wellness check. They said "yes." We then called Scripps to ask if the wellness check would be covered by our insurance and we wouldn't have any additional charges at the visit -- they said "no additional charges." Then at the counter my wife asked one more time if we would be charged for any of the services and they said "we can't know every insurance policy and what is covered. If it's not covered, you'll get a bill." They didn't even check to see if the physician they assigned us was within our network. Fast forward a few weeks later and we're asked to pay over $1,850 for three healthy kids without any issues? Buyer beware!

She looked at me skeptically and said she'd never heard of it before and it was "probably a legal term" so I should speak with a lawyer. Never before have I felt embarrassed FOR a provider... uh, I dunno, Cathy. Google it? Lol Rude, judgmental, unprofessional. She left notes on my patient summary that had nothing to do with my actual visit because at some point I was done being treated like a crazy person and I walked out of her office. So you can add petty to the list of qualities. She said she was going to add a prescription for my acid reflux, but when I read the patient summary, she said that she had referred me to a gastroenterologist so I couldn't get the prescription we talked about. Overall jarring and bizarre experience. I will say, every patient in her waiting room was well over 80 years old, so if you are that age (you probably aren't using yelp to find a doctor, but) she will likely be a good fit for you. However, if you are not in that demographic, my advice would be to steer clear. The front staff and nurses were sweet and wonderful to interact with. This woman does not deserve the angels that work under her. I feel sorry for them, and every patient who has had a similar experience going to see her. Finding a new PCP is hard enough without bozos like this lady trying to make you feel like you're crazy because you don't fit neatly inside of the narrow education she received way back in the 70s or 80s. You can tell she does not keep her education current. She finished medical school and thought she was done learning. BEWARE.

The website says they open their doors at 7:00 a.m. Hey, that's convenient! And, it's true. They open their doors at 7:00 a.m. So far, so good. The unhappy and unhelpful desk gal then may tell you that IF the tech who does the x-rays was coming in, they won't be coming in until 8:00 or 8:30 a.m. But they are not coming in today anyway so pffft. So, now, we've veered off the path and are headed over the cliff. Basically, the website is misleading. If your tech isn't coming in until later than 7:00 a.m., how about a little additional info on the website? And how is a patient supposed to know whether a tech will be at any particular location or not on any particular day? We just have to visit the location to find out? Umm, no. I STRONGLY urge you to make an appointment no matter what they say about no appointments necessary or what location you intend to visit. Given the (poor) service, I won't be visiting the Escondido location ever again, even though it's the most convenient one for me. In all fairness, the Oceanside location provided me with very good service.

I called 2 more times, the first person asked 20 questions and then put me on hold and then hung up on me, then called back again and was put on hold again and it's been 10 minutes. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! Have your doctor send orders to another facility. Now I have to drive there this week to get an answer as to how much this appointment will cost. STOP sending our calls to call centers outside of the US and give jobs to people here who would do the job right - MY GOD!!!!!
