    I cannot recommend this office based on my recent experience…read more What started as a recommendation to replace a filling with an inlay turned into a month long ordeal of pain and, eventually, an emergency root canal. Throughout the process, I often felt dismissed and rushed. Despite returning multiple times with ongoing pain, my concerns were not fully addressed until a crown was suggested. While I appreciated a same day appointment, it took four hours, during which I was left alone in the chair for over an hour without anyone checking in on me with a drilled open tooth as my local anesthesia wore off. When the pain continued after the crown, I sought a second opinion from an endodontist. They discovered my root was dying, a possibility never mentioned at PB Smiles, and immediately put me on antibiotics. I truly wonder how long it would have taken PB smiles to catch this infection had I not taken it upon myself to find another opinion. The endodontist also told me that the crown was poorly seated and would likely need replacement within a few years and told me in no uncertain terms that I should that I should find a new general dentist. While I understand procedures have risks, the lack of empathy and the failure to investigate the source of my pain led to weeks of unnecessary suffering. And I honestly wonder if the inlay and subsequent crown were even necessary. If you value feeling heard and receiving thorough clinical care, I would suggest looking elsewhere

I thank God I found Dr. Muir. Over a period of time, with the help of his skilled, and kind assistant, Marcie, he performed a masterpiece of cosmetic dentistry. I, now, smile confidently, with a heart of gratitude, and thanksgiving. Case-in-point, just recently, we were having a very difficult time keeping an old crown cemented on, but Dr. Muir never gave up, (like my previous dentist)-after exhausting all avenues, he had the lab make me a new crown, which fits perfectly, looks great, and stays cemented on, all with no charge-that's the kind of person he is; not only a seasoned, kind, compassionate, and professional, man of integrity, but one who goes the extra mile to make his patients happy.     Beware of All Coast Dental…read more Where do I even begin? In my adult life, I've never been asked to pay for dental services before receiving them -- but All Coast Dental seems to have made that their policy. Every visit, I've paid in full at the end of my appointment. I always asked them to run my insurance beforehand so I could have a clear understanding of costs, but they were consistently unhelpful. After I changed jobs and insurance, I informed them right away -- yet they still tried to blame billing issues on me. Their customer service is non-existent. My last straw was during a crown procedure they claimed I needed (even though I had zero issues with the existing one). The procedure, which was supposed to take less than an hour, turned into over two hours of extreme pain. While I was in the chair and in severe discomfort, they made me sign something -- completely inappropriate given my condition. My tooth hurt for weeks afterward. To make matters worse, my wife was told she also needed to replace her crown. Thankfully, I told her to get a second opinion, and she was told she didn't need it at all. That speaks volumes. Now they're saying I owe a balance, despite always paying immediately whenever they messed up billing in the past. They even tried to make me responsible for my spouse's bill when we had clearly stated we'd each handle our own. I get that some people might have to use them because they're in-network, but consider this your warning -- plenty of other dental offices are worth the wait. I'm likely going to have to take this to small claims court just to settle the matter. I just wish someone had left a review like this before I went through it.

    On 5/11/17 I visited Dr. Westwood's office for a consultation. Dr. Westwood was very polite &…read morefriendly & said I would be a good candidate for Invisalign. I thought about it & returned on 10/18/17. I was seen by Dr. Westwood's assistant, Liz, who took photos & scans of my teeth. On 11/1/17 I met with Dr. Westwood & she reviewed my photos & scans. Dr. Westwood's assistant, Liz, provided me with some paperwork including the Informed Consent & Agreement for the Invisalign Patient. An appointment was made for 11/30/17 to receive my first set of aligners. I paid a down payment of $450. On 11/29/17 I received a phone call from Liz stating that the office hadn't received my aligners & they had to get back to me to reschedule. Liz said I would get a call on the following Tues. with a date. I called on 12/5/17 & was told they would have to call me back when the aligners were ready. I called again on 12/12/17 & was told to could come in the following week. On 12/28/18, Dr. Westwood placed attachments on my top & bottom teeth & took impressions of my teeth. I thought it was odd that she was taking impressions of my teeth since I was told on Oct. 18th that the aligners would be created using scanned images & how great the technology was. I was expecting my aligners this day. I was wondering why she had to cancel my Nov. 30th appointment saying my aligners weren't ready & she made me wait 3 weeks for the aligners to arrive only to find out the aligners were still not ready. I was scheduled to come back on 12/30/17. I was confused because I was told the aligners take 10 days to arrive & now they will be ready in 2 days. On 12/30/17, Dr. Westwood fitted the top aligner on my teeth. She was struggling to get it on & it was a bit painful. I was feeling a sharp pain on a front tooth from her forcing the aligner on my teeth. She gave me two cases for the aligners. Only one case said Invisalign on it. When I looked in the mirror (unfortunately, without my glasses), I saw a big gap on the bottom of the aligner. I didn't like the look of it but the doctor told me after 2 weeks it will fit better. She said she was concerned about saliva but I didn't understand why. When I got home & looked in the mirror with my glasses I was shocked at how badly these aligners fit. There was a large gap at the bottom of the aligners & you could see saliva bubbles in the clear space. The aligners reached only two-thirds up my teeth. It looked horrible. I immediately called the office & left a voicemail for the Dr. I also called the doctor's emergency # & left a voicemail explaining how I could not wear these poorly fitted aligners in public. On 1/2/18, I called Dr. Westwood's office & spoke with her assistant Liz. I explained the situation & asked to speak to Dr. Westwood. Liz said she would let the doctor know that I called. Liz called me back saying that Dr. Westwood said I had a follow up appointment scheduled for Jan 22nd. I told Liz that I wanted to speak to the doctor & that I could not wear these aligners for three weeks. Liz said she would talk to the doctor. I did not receive a call back. On 1/3/18, I called the office again asking to speak to Dr. Westwood. Liz said she would have the the doctor call me back. Instead, I received a call back from Liz saying the aligners were being reordered. On 1/9/18, I called the office to get an update. Liz said she was hoping they would be ready by 1/16/18. On 1/16/18 I called the office. I asked Liz why it took only 2 days to get the aligners when the doctor took the impression & now it's taking weeks to get the aligners. Liz said this was because the aligners made with the impression were not Invisalign. These aligners were made in the office. I asked to speak to the doctor about this. I never heard from the Dr. On 1/18/18 I called the office & asked Liz for the Invisalign customer service phone number, told her to cancel my next appointment & that the Dr. would be hearing from my credit card company. I called Invisalign & explained my situation. They asked for the account # imprinted on the aligner & I said there was nothing imprinted on the aligner. The agent was surprised & said he would have to call the Dr. While on the phone with Invisalign, Dr. Westwood called me & left a voicemail. I had been trying to get her to call me since Dec. 30th! It took this to get her to call me. She left a voicemail saying there was "miscommunication" between Liz, her & myself. She offered a refund & left me her cell #. I was done with this dishonest woman. She refunded all fees thanks to my credit card company. This woman let greed get the best of her. She created her own aligners while charging Invisalign prices. This is fraud & I don't want this to happen to anyone else. I have since found an honest & professional orthodontist who is night & day compared to this woman. Now I see what Invisalign aligners & what the Invisalign process is supposed to be like! My teeth are looking better every day.
