Terrible customer service!!! I had an appointment scheduled for a well inspection. They changed the time the day before, so I had to scramble to adjust my schedule. Then I sit there for the 45 at the new time, no communication. So I call them and ask what happened. They didn't know, so the woman who answered finds out they're running late. By then, I'm gone. So I asked if I had to be there, or could they do the inspection without me, and her response was "we need to make sure we get paid!" I said, I need this done so I'm gonna pay. i repeat: Do not use this company. I was told it was a "$200 service call" by the lady on the phone. I said ok. The guy shows up starts "tinkering" with everything and I noticed he was trying to "educate" but doing it at the pace of a snail. Said it's the 15 amp breaker, then said not that , said it's the little float then said it's not that then said you probably need a new motor. He was purposely moving slow like it's a play in the book. At the end of it he said I think you need a new motor and heres your $600 bill. I said that's not what I was told. i have 35,000 reviews on my company site and see patterns. This 100% was a plan all along to charge me to diagnose it but was told $200. imagine taking your car in and before they even fix anything telling you owe 3x the diagnose fee and still nothing fixed. Pacific Coast Well and Pump has excellent service, knowledge, concern and responsiveness. We have been on a well for 25 years. We have used 3-4 well repair companies. Pacific Coast Well and Pump is by far the best, most responsive and reasonably priced. In 2016 we learned we had a crack in the casing of our well. We were told we should dig a new well which would be very expensive. Or go to on EBMUD - (quite a bureaucracy and extremely expensive.) This past rain we got a lot of mud in our water. Timing could not have been worse as my husband who handled the well problems, was terminally ill. A neighbor recommended Pacific Coast Well and Pump. We have a very good well. Worth fixing, if possible. For a reasonable, possible. Chuck, the owner, said he could put in new casing. Which he did, with no problem. ( I just couldn't go to a filter system knowing there was a crack in the casing.) I had two other problems, not related to the casing. They fixed those too I have read all of the reviews. I don't know why there is a single negative review that says "didn't show up, unresponsive, misled, etc." My experience has been exactly the opposite. ***2023 Review*** What a life saver Chuck, Daniel and his team with our Water Well System. Our home in Alamo irrigation is dependent on our water well. We had an overflow after the excessive rain and we didn't know much on how to fix it so we first used Angi list and a contractor came out and made things worst so I search reviews to find an expert at Water Wells to fix everything that the person from Angi list did wrong. Chuck was very helpful. You can tell by talking with him his vast knowledge of Water well pumps. His team was also VERY knowledgeable about the well as I tried to explain everything that was going wrong. This company is a license contractor that specializes in wells. Please don't use Angi List or Plummers to service your well. We learned the hard way but glad they fixed everything and it comes with a guarantee. Chuck also did a follow up call to check on everything. Within 2 days our water well was working since I called them. It was not at all a long wait. The person from Angi list took almost 3 months of excuses. They took our disappointment and turned it to customer satisfaction & more. Please don't focus on the reviews from 12 years ago...they don't describe my experience. You are welcome to email me or call me and I will let you know our experience and stand behind them. Wow, Pacific Coast Well and Pump were there when I needed them when my well pump died in Concord. When you have no water, it is an urgency. I never wrote a review in the past and I am an old man! This time I can't help make a comment about how I was misled by the company when I asked for their service to do some well test on a well I recently found on my property. When I was quoted $150, I was led to believe that it would be a flow test. When Sean and the other guy showed up on my property yesterday, all they did was a quick test on the depth of the well and then asked for $150. I already checked the depth of the well before they came, which was a simple task to me. I even told Sean that we had the same measurement. $150 is not much money, but I do think the integrity of a company is important regardless of the amount. Today, I was quoted $2000 for the flow test. I don't think I would want to continue doing business with this company and thought I should give other potential clients a heads up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The only reason I contacted Pacific Well was because they did the initial inspection of the system when I purchased this property in 2017. The person that did the inspection was good and knowledgeable. Then after the fires in my area needed a good holding tank cleaning/service of the system. After numerous calls to them with no follow-up, they requested I send them pictures and then, after 3+ weeks of back and forth, told me they couldn't help me and my tank was too old, pitted and would need to be replaced. No offer to estimate a tank replacement or any customer service at all. Turns out the tank is good and I only need a new ozone device which another far better reputable and customer service savvy company is doing for me. read more

After paying over $2,000 to Pacific Coast Well for a new motor, with in 6 months the well failed. I contacted the demented owner, who provided an appointment time and failed to appear. After rescheduling, I waited 2 hours after the scheduled time and his ASSistant - Curt - failed to appear. No explanations were provided. When I requested a precise time for the 3rd appointment with an assurance that someone would show up, the deranged owner emphasized his preference for higher dollar projects. Apparently, this company has no interest in checking-up on its poor workmanship. Later, I called Dejesus Pump & Well Drilling, which fixed the problem by replacing a defective part that Pacific Coast installed. About a year ago I purchased a home with a non functioning well. I called Pacific Coast Well and Pump and Curt came out and got the pump up and running. He was professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He returned phone calls, showed up when he said he would and explained the work needed in understandable language. Since then I have had 2 service calls . Each time it was not the work he had done that failed (1. stuck sprinkler valve and 2. electrical problem). I called this company to repair my well, which had been working without a problem for over 10 years. Chuck claimed that it needed a new pump and motor - which cost over $2,000. Since I did not have time to receive a few other bids, I paid the fee with the hope that I 'd have another 10 years without problems. Unfortunately, 6 months later, problems with the well started to occur. I called Pacific Coast to check it out. Chuck - the degenerate - was only interested in big money replacement projects of over $1,000 rather than repairs to his poor work. I called my regular plumber, who fixed the matter for $75. Be careful if you plan to use this company to do repairs to your well. Called to repair well pump. Found switch and fixed. Great up to this point. Noticed bad wires and said would fix next day. After at least six phone calls and many excuses tech. arrived two weeks later and completed repairs in about 20 minutes. No invoice for wire repairs - looks like got charged for another service call plus who knows what. Charge made to credit card week before repair completed. my appointment got bumped, and then bumped again, and then no follow up to fit me in. it's been a month from initial call, and no progress (after the last reschedule last week when I was told they would reach out in a couple more days). not the end of the world, but now I need to start over getting in the back of the line with another company. more to the story: I was bumped for more urgent jobs, which I understand to an extent (mine is just a residential well for irrigation, so lower priority. These guys are very good. They work on small and big jobs. Curt who is one of the field techs who was the lead of the crew is outstanding. When I called they set a time slot and date, then they called the day before to again confirm, then on the day they arrived on time and they informed me of their progress while working, plus they finished early. Cost was very reasonable. All of these pump and well companies are very busy these days but the service they gave me was great. Expert Well Services company Excellent services by Chuck (owner) and Curt (services technician). Chuck promptly delivered and installed a 2500 gal tank on my concrete pad. They normally have this tank in inventory. Curt prepared the tank internal pump in advance of installation which saved time on site. Curt replaced the existing well head plumbing to eliminate flow restrictions and old steel pipe. I'm extremely grateful for this. Curt is extremely professional and knowledgeable in this line of work. We no longer have any problems with low pressure water in the house with the new constant pressure system. My client who iives in a large home in Vacaville called me in a panic last saturday because she arrived at her (second) home to find no water coming from the faucets. They never answer their calls, but they do return calls...a week later. Way overpriced by the way, and their general attitude is: even though I installed the entire well system, none of the problems are my responsibility. The well water didn't pass the water test, so they dumped entire buckets of chlorine in the water tank to kill bacteria, waited for the chlorine to evaporate, then sent that sample to the labs! My time on the wait list was also about 4 months, according to them it's pretty normal. read more

Pacific Well originally installed a replacement tank and pump and electrical box less than 5 years ago and the pump and tank and control box went out recently. We contacted this company and they finally sent out someone that knew nothing about well pumps but charged us $135.00. Much later they send out a new tech that ordered a new tank (under warranty) and replaced the electrical control box and it was working fine when he left but it blew up the electrical box. He had charged us $375.00 and now said it was the pump. He promised us a written estimate but it never arrived. We called a new company and it was fixed in a few days. read more

Like others, my appointment got bumped the first time after I rescheduled my entire day to wait for them. They rescheduled for another day, and still had not shown up shown up three hours after the appointed time and told me after I called that it would be another hour. I got charged $135 to be told that my pump was broken (duh) and was given lots of fancy solutions that would improve the whole system.. I was promised a bid no later than two days later. Perhaps I got lucky, but Chuck answered the phone the morning I was looking for help and we had a quick chat about what I needed. He was cordial and helpful. I know I got lucky when Chuck told me that their technician, Curt, happened to be scheduled in my town the day I needed help. Curt was fantastic. He let me know his schedule was going to be flexible and that he'd call so I could time my arrival to his. Worked out that I showed up about 5 minutes before Curt. He got right to work verifying that our pump was working properly, but discovered that our tank's bladder was out of air! Curt got out his compressor and reset the tank plus recalibrated the pump saver, so my well is working again. Curt's few minutes of coaching helped me understand what was going on with the system and I've figured out that I have not one but three leaks in the pipes in the delivery system. Now I can shut off some valves and get water! Don't know if it was expensive or not, but the system works now... that's what counts. read more

Isn't there an option to give 10 stars? Pacific Coast Well and Pump get my nearly impossible to earn 5 star rating for several reasons: Courteous, Professional, On time, Reliable, Fair priced, Quality of work and I could go on. I got my old well completely replaced in June, it's awesome, performs like it should, and the work was clean. I was impressed with the courtesy of the owner who came out to give me the bid, and just as pleased with the professionalism of the two gentlemen who installed it (one was the brother of the owner, and perhaps a co-owner as well?). After having past irrigation folks trash my sideyard in the process of installing pipes, I was thrilled to see the respect these guys had for my property. Everything was completely cleaned up and the new plumbing was as unexposed as possible. Nice! It's been a few months since then and I was having an issue with my pressure so I called them. I got a call back right away, and after some telephone instructions, I still couldn't figure out what was going on. Here's where PCWP went WAY above and beyond.... the owner came by today to take a look for himself. After establishing that the Well was in perfect working order, he could have left me to figure out the issue with my sprinklers on my own; he didn't. He kept playing with everything until he got them to work. He didn't install the sprinklers, that wasn't his issue or his job, but he did it because that's what an EXCEPTIONAL family run business would do! 30 minutes of his time because my sprinklers, not his Well, had issues. I wish this were the type of service every business offered. But thank goodness there is still at least one left! read more
