I would give 0 stars if i could. I have been here twice and both experiences were terrible. First- i came in for a cleaning and exam. I am very on top of my oral hygiene, and get cleanings every 6 months. I have never in my life had someone give me such a painful cleaning. I usually enjoy going to the dentist but this was truly a torture session. The hygienist scraped my teeth and gums until I bled, and when I said it hurt they didnt seem to care. There was absolutely no reason for someone to be that brutal on my mouth. I was sore for a couple days afterwards. The second time i came in to fix a cavity. The doctor gave me 7 shots and I still wasn't numb. Instead, she drilled into my molar while i could still feel it, and afterwards, half my face was temporarily paralyzed for about 2 hours. Also, the sealant over the cavity is totally messy and bumpy all over my molar. She didnt even bother to smooth it out. My close friend got a cleaning recently and she complained of how barbaric and painful it was. I was curious so i asked her where she went- she went to Pacific! I was so mad i didnt leave a review to warn her. So here's me, writing a review. Be warned- this place is absolutely terrible. It made me afraid of going to the dentist. read more

Dr. Lac is amazing. I had a huge filling in one of my molars that kept falling out with my last dentist. I had it replaced at least six times. I got good at putting in temporary fillings. Dr. Lac gives me injections of novacaine that are nearly painless, she has an excellent chairside manner and she was able to replace my massive filling over a year ago and its still firmly in place. I was also having trouble with my insurance, saying that they wouldn't cover the two fillings for five years (I have no clue why). She was able to get the fillings done and I'm so happy and grateful. I am a very nervous dental patient, as I've had some awful experiences in the chair. I had a tooth that was broken off at the gum line that had to be removed. To say the least, I was terrified! I strongly disliked going to the dentist for a variety of reason I will not unpack here, so needless to say I kind of freaked out. This is the place you go if you want to feel like you're in a Chinese restaurant. Staff are barking at each other in foreign languages, they get you in and kick you out, the service is overall just awful. The cleaning is so painful, I hated going to the dentist until I left this office. The dentist is a new grad for sure. She put her fingers into my mouth, with her wet fingers out of my mouth, she pats my cheeks and tells me how cute I am. I am so disgusted with the doctor here. She's paid based on production, so she's trying to get me to extract teeth. Her reason: it'll fix my overbite. No girl, ortho will fix my overbite, not one extraction. When you have incompetent staff, you need friendly staff to make up for it. You cannot have incompetent staff and mean staff at the same time. I hope they find a better office manager to fix the work culture in this place. It is quite noticeable by patients. Oh, and when you have a dentist hitting on the office manager, that's also quite noticeable by patients. Please take your erection out of the office. Thank you. read more

I called 8 dentists to find one that took OHP, that had just been assigned to me the previous week. Technically, I was still on "Open Card", but none of the paperwork from Health Share said that. Pacific billing called me the eve before and said they wouldn't accept "Open Card". Since I was ONLY available that week, for a dental appointment, I had to keep the appt and just pay out of pocket, for the visit. I was told by them that OHP would NOT reimburse me, once I was assigned a dental plan. The receptionist told me I was booked for a TWO HOUR appointment, for cleaning, exam and x-rays, and that she had "moved" some patients around, because of my tight timeline and schedule. When I went for my visit, I was given x-rays, a quick exam, and told that I needed a deep cleaning, because it had been 3 years since my last dental appointment. I was quoted $650, for a deep cleaning, which I would have to pay then. Then I was told that they would have to reschedule ANY cleaning, and the appointment was over, with NO cleaning done, whatsoever, after one hour. I ONLY had that day to get dental work done! It was a very disappointing experience. I realize I don't have the best dental insurance coverage, right now, but I feel like I was lied to, and given subpar care. read more

I've been going here for almost 10 years and haven't had a problem with them! The staff is always friendly and you can tell that everyone is friends with each other. They have text messaging follow ups so you don't miss your cleanings, which is a HUGE plus. I'm terrible at keeping appointments but it's easy to see the reminders since they show up as texts. Instead of having to check my voicemail and calling back to confirm, I simply receive a reminder 24 hours before the appointment and type "c" to confirm. Furthermore, I had a really bad toothache and they were able to squeeze me into their schedule day of and got me in and out within two hours! Root Canals normally don't earn 5 stars, but the care from Pacific Dental saved me from a lot of sleepless nights from tooth pain. read more

I came here as an emergency and hadn't actually had a dentist for a while and needed to establish a provider, and Dr. Vinh Nguyen is WONDERFUL, I switched my dental care to this office, flexible hours/schedule for availability, they get you in FAST when it's an urgent matter, and after each visit, I feel absolutely taken care of & cared about as a patient!!! Dr. Vinh Nguyen is AMAZING, my teeth were breaking & in terrible shape, almost needing to pull them, and Dr Vinh Nguyen saved a lot of them, he does FANTASTIC WORK, I honestly was crying when I left last time because of how beautiful my teeth looked after 15 years or having chips, holes, etc!!! I had called many offices, gone to the dental school, and Pacific Dental was the office that made me feel most at ease about my situation. That was 3 years ago. I have gotten 8 cavities filled at Pacific Dental Care and it was the best dentist experience I have ever had. Not only was my female dentist super friendly, but she was very gentle and very skilled at what she was doing. I have always had so-so experiences with other dentists and have been fearful of making appointments in the past, but since I have been going to PDC, I almost look forward to it! Also, the staff is amazing at taking care of all of the insurance details and is able to explain in layman terms what needs to be done and exactly how much it will cost. These guys are wonderful. I have never felt the kind of through care that I experienced at this little unassuming dental office. I arrived and waited less then 5 minutes to be taken in. The wonderful Mya (Mia?) worked with me. Normally I sit there like a piece of meat while the tech scrapes around and throws random technical jargon to the Dentist. Not the case here I was in the know every single step of the way. If she was talking about my face she let me know exactly what she was saying. I'm not paranoid but it is that kind of attention to comfort and inclusivity completely won me over. This dental office is phenomenal! Due to a somewhat nomadic lifestyle and a sugar addiction, I've been to over a dozen dental offices in my days, and this is, hands down, the best. The staff is attentive and down-to-earth. And, as hokey as it might sound, they actually seem to care. In the few times I've been there, no one has treated me like I'm ridiculous for being nervous about having dental work done. No one makes jokes or off-color comments while my mouth is too full of dental tools for me to talk. (Yes, I've actually experienced that kind of thing a lot at dental offices). Procedures are explained step-by-step. They even answer my questions honestly when I have reservations about something, instead of lying just to make an extra buck. They also saw me immediately when I had a dental emergency and were open on a snow day. I feel I'm in good hands with these people! read more

The Dentist here have been telling me i needed a reverse root canal and my insurance won't cover the procedure. I asked if there was anything else they could do to fix the problem they told me i could either remove the tooth completely or pay for the procedure myself. But i went in to get 7 cavities filled, and at that time i asked if i still needed the procedure done. And i dentist i saw said the tooth looks fine and i no longer needed the procedure. Then i came back since my jaw was bothering me so bad from my wisdom teeth growing in and my head is throbbing. He gave me some pain meds and said he wouldn't give me more unless i got a procedure done... i was like OK so if someone is in pain you won't help them... AND he told me i needed to still get that reverse root canal done... and that my jaw has issues a dentist can't help it's more a medical issue that a medical doctor would help with. VERY CONFUSED. And it's took them over 3 months to put in a REQUEST to get my wisdom teeth removed. i absolutely felt he was just trying to make money off me and not even care of my pain and issues i'm going through. I just had the worst experience at this dental office, the only reason I went to this place was because my regular dentist did not have any openings, first of all, I had my dentist send over my x-ray's that was just taken a week ago and the front desk stated that they never got them, so I called and confirmed and my dentist office said that the email was sent, so conveniently Pacific Dental Care Pc said they never got them just so they could take more x-ray's and charge me for them, Dr. Christine N. Vuong, DDS, MAGD is the most " INCOMPETENT" dentist I have ever been too, per the recommendation of my regular dentist the tooth was suppose to be extracted and the x-ray's that surprisingly never was received showed that, so they took another x-ray and charged me for it, in the end they were not able to extract the tooth so it was a waste of money and time not to mention Dr. Christine N. Vuong, DDS, was dropping utensils on the floor and would put them back on the tray like nothing happened, this Pacific Dental Care, PC is so "DYSFUNCTIONAL" I would never recommend anyone to go here, and I am going to report them to the BBB as soon as I am done with this review!!!!! read more

During a routine check up I was told by the dentist after a 30 second visual examination that my molar was cracked and I would need to get a crown immediately or my tooth would split in half. A crown costs approximately $1000 and is usually only covered 50% by insurance. I had never felt any pain in this tooth and the crack came as a big surprise, so I went to another dentist to get a second opinion. This new dentist actually took x-rays and pulled out a camera to take pictures of the tooth as well as doing a visual examination and a bite test. He said that everything was fine and there is no visible crack. He didn't know why they had given me this diagnosis and told me that I shouldn't worry about it. The lack of thorough examination leading to a very serious and expensive misdiagnosis makes me question the honesty and skill at Pacific Dental Care. I would advise others to look elsewhere for their dental care. read more
