I wouldn't send someone I hate here. Everything about my experience here was uncomfortable, painful and a total nightmare. In hindsight, I wish I had stood up in the middle of my appointment and walked out. Calling to schedule, the receptionist was not warm and just told me to send my insurance and then they would call back to schedule, while lacking any kindness or professionalism. They called later, booked an appointment and then left a voicemail the day before, telling me call to confirm my appointment. I didn't have the time to do since I was working that whole day prior and am used to getting texts if confirmation is necessary. I didn't even get the voicemail until after my appointment. I book clients for my business and use online booking and it sends reminders so I don't have to call and bug people. Most people don't want phone calls these days, or to be required to have to call someone again. I made the appointment, so I'm going to show up. Just send a reminder in advance and paperwork, rather than waiting until the day of! As I was walking out the door the day of my appointment, I get a call and it's the receptionist, again with no professionalism, asking if I'm coming in. Yes. I made the appointment didn't I? I show up, she asks for my ID and insurance card and hands me a stack of papers to fill out. Didn't send them via email or in the mail ahead of time like every other doctor office in 2025 would. I frantically try to fill it out, but don't have my card to answer the questions because she didn't give it back. I get called back to get started while still trying to complete a bunch of papers and already so stressed out. There was no small talk, no welcoming, no getting to know this new patient or my need; just total awkwardness. After getting my X-rays, the doctor comes in, seems friendly enough, but again, no real connection or attempt to make me comfortable or get to know my dental history or why I'm there. I already have immense anxiety around going to a dentist and have experienced a ton of trauma this year and was clearly on edge and was just hoping it would all be over soon. After the assistant attempted to hand me a pair of dirty and greasy looking sunglasses, I declined and put on my own and was still somehow blinded by their light, with no apology or inquiry of my comfort level. They clearly didn't look at the paperwork to see that I had anxiety and sensitivity. He starts just scraping around my teeth and aggressively poking my gums. I winced and moved uncomfortably in the chair and he seemed annoyed that I was in pain. It felt like he was shaming me about the issues with my teeth and telling me what I should have been doing, even though I've been keeping up with dental care previous to visiting this place. I explained that I used to have great dental insurance and a different provider through my husband, but that he had just passed away this year and now I was on state insurance and attempting to establish new care, then got choked up and so overwhelmed by grief, fear and shame. The nurse patted my arm as I started to silently sob and asked if I was still grieving?! What?! What do you think? My husband just died...and I'm getting my mouth attacked by an aggressive and unfriendly staff. I will always grieve my husband of 20 years that suddenly died and left me a single mother of two kids. It would have been better had she said nothing, by adding insult to injury. I couldn't understand much of what the doctor was saying with his accent and he just sounded angry as he kept repeating the same word over and over again that I still didn't understand. I felt like he wasn't even attempting to communicate clearly. Throughout my painful cleaning, I listened as he had numerous conversations with various people, from where to leave a package, him asking to get receipts, asking another nurse if a patient can wait five more minutes as I laid there feeling like he was rushing through my visit and treating me like cattle. He asked if I wanted fluoride and I declined, just wanting out of there as fast as I could and he seemed excited that I didn't want it and moved on to referring me to an endodontist for another problematic dental issue. When he finally finished hurting my teeth and told me to go home and rinse with salt water because I was in pain, I went to retrieve my ID and insurance card. I was told the receptionist was busy and to sit and wait even longer! They wanted to schedule me for another appointment to fix my tooth, so I sat for another ten minutes. Please STAY AWAY I went in after having some work done to which the dentist said he wanted me to get DENTURES and guess what I went to Terwilliger dental and they saved ALL my teeth and they look incredible they did this in 3 appointments. Would not recommend. Poor customer experience. Will get you in for an inspection and teeth cleaning for $150, then try to upsell you on a, "Deep Clean," for $500.00 or more. I was in pain for 2 days, other pains were added, like ear ache & headache. I was very miserable because my Tylenol seem to not work anymore. I looked up affordable dentist clinic that can do emergency extraction if you don't have insurance and this clinic was one of the many on the list. But reading the reviews, I hesitated & went to another dentist clinic. Which they returned me because they said they cannot pull my tooth because it is complicated, they weren't qualified, they'll have someone qualified to call me in a couple of days! LIKE REALLY? call me in a couple of days? i'm in so much pain, i can't wait anymore . I was told I needed 4 new crowns on my teeth. I was surprised as I had them all done at a different dentist's office within the last 5 years. Insurance was refusing to pay, so it was going to cost me thousands of dollars out of pocket. I just got back from getting a second opinion: My crowns are fine. The first red flag was when they found 3 cavities in my son's tooth a month or so ago. We scheduled the fillings a week or so later. Extra TLC & its ALL FREE! I noticed this place while driving by Glisan Street and noticed that their sign reads "Accepting New Patients," so i decided to give them a call & I'm EXTREMELY happy that i did. Not only did i save $$$, but i got a lot of EXTRAS w/out the extra fees! When i called to schedule my appointment, they got me in the following week and at the time i wanted to come in. For those of you who can't do weekdays, they're open on the weekend to accomodate anyone's schedule! The receptionist was friendly and very professional. I was called in within 3 minutes of walking in...that's what you call fast service, because i barely got done with my paperworks before i was ushered in. The hygenist was very efficient and was able to get my photos done in a timely manner & it didn't hurt. She was also very patience as i took off all my jewelry and facial piercings. The best part about Glisan Dental is Dr. Pham. He's been in practice for over 14yrs and is very knowledgable about the ins & outs of the health & care of your teeth. Dr. Pham was very VERY patience with my numerous questions. He answered all of them and gave excellent advice that helped me make quick decisions. He discussed my options and what i needed to do in regards to dental care and how i can improve on it. Rather than letting his assistant clean my teeth Dr. Pham did it himself and he did a very thorough job of it!! In the middle of cleaning, Dr. Pham noticed that a tiny cavity was forming and agreed to fill it for me, without having to schedule another appointment! Not only did he fill it, but he went around my teeth and smooth out some of my fillings and did some polishing to increase the shine and beauty. =) Dr. Pham isn't too concern about making a huge profit, his main goal is to make it reasonably priced and workable for you. His focus is teeth care & he'll do extra work without charging you for it, but if he does charge you, its extremely reasonable! Overall, I love the feel of my tongue sliding across my teeth w/that clean feeling! Also, i love the fact that my teeth was done with additional care and attention w/out the extra fee. Horrible and greedy dentist office! I have one bad tooth that needs extraction. After the examination, the treatment plan included 9 cavities, 3 extractions and 1 deep cleaning. Since I can not afford the treatment plan, I decided to go another office for second opinions. I was very disappointed to find out that I don't have any cavities. I do not need deep cleaning. I only need 3 extractions. When I walked into this office, I was skeptical about their ethical and service. Most of the staffs here have bad teeth. I should had used my intuition when I walked in. Wonderful service, staff is very accommodating and friendly every time I've gone in. Dr. Pham is one of the best I've been to in the state. He really cares about your dental health and uses new equipment to on your dental needs. Facility is always very clean, always greeted at the door. Also, he told me I had a cavity on my lower left and when I got a second opinion, I have only a "watch" on my lower right. Seriously, where was this guy trained to make a mistake like that? I called around for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction and all the other offices in the area couldn't see me for 4-7 days. I was in excruciating pain. Glisan dental got me in the next morning and extracted the tooth with no problems. They addressed all my fears and made me comfortable during the whole procedure. I have see a lot of dentists. Most of them were either weird, abusive, trying to sell me something I didn't want, or just incompetent. I had one dentist long ago who was fabulous, and I never could find a replacement. Until now. Dr. Pham, and his office staff are really efficient, knowledgable, friendly, reassuring, non-weird, and his services are affordable. He gives a 20% discount to folks w/ no insurance, and there is another discount for returning clients. The equipment is state of the art. The facility is spotless. Dr. Pham works speedily and yet it doesn't feel rushed. He has never once tried to sell me anything, and in fact, has always advised me to be cautious in getting treatment. I feel he has my best interests in mind, both health-wise and financially. Going to the dentist isn't fun, but if you have to go, Dr. Pham is a good bet. I went in for 2 fillings to be done. The dentist was behind schedule a bit and I ended up waiting about 20 min after my appointment time. That wasn't even a big deal for me except that the dentist then only had time to do one filling AND left me mid filling to work on somebody else.. I could have had both fillings done if I didn't end up waiting another 20 min mid procedure.. I was not happy about it, but the worst part is that he chose to do the one filling on my wisdom tooth which I am going to have removed AND the filling ended up breaking. Ok I went in this morning for the 9a.m. appointment. Their just down the street. Last time in say 6 wks. ago at least am told they want to take my front 8 teeth. Nothing wrong with them. Lower left back moler tooth, the one in front of it and the one in front of that one told them they got to go. Oh no we fill after deep cleaning. All lower teeth. This morning then we talk extractions. Yea on the lower ones. No we clean and fill. All uppercase teeth go. She says again. WRONG. I told her. I got up and left. She was ready to shoot me up for a deep cleaning. Oh no RED FLAGS WENT UP. After him telling me this the first time I went for 2nd opinion. They want those ones I said out plus one on the right. They saw NO REASON TO TAKE MY FRONT 8 TEETH. QUACKS. DON'T GO TO THEM@GLISAN DENTAL. AFTER THE MONEY PER TOOTH, $250? Do the math. PLEASE, PLEASE STAY AWAY AND YOUR KIDS, OH GOSH NO. I am very happy that I found this dentist. I found them from Dentalplans.com when I purchased a dental discount program. I made an appointment for $35 (full exam and xrays) and was in within 1 business day. I need a lot of work done to say the least and was pleasantly surprised that they beat my dentalplan discount! With everything I was looking at $3300 total. When they gave me the breakdown of their cost WITHOUT the dental program it was $2500. Thats a $800 difference PLUS i got my original $200 program fee back! Total score! I also have VERY VERY sensitive teeth since I was little. Its so bad they have to completely numb me just to clean my teeth. I appreciated that if I told them it hurt they would stop and numb me more with no questions. She always made sure that I doing ok and it meant a lot to me. I also like the fact that Dr. Pham didnt belittle me because of the condition of my teeth (I know they need work which is why Im going in lol). We made a plan to take care of the ones that I wanted to first and go from there. I like that they are letting me make some of these calls instead of doing what "they" want first which I have experienced all too much at other offices. I hate the dentist and wont lie but Im not nervous going to them. I would definitely recommend them to people who are scared of being bashed for not properly caring for their teeth or if you just are plain scared. They make you feel at ease and are very friendly. I went 3 times and they caused me severe lingering pain for weeks after. The first time I went I wasn't able to get numb and they drilled on me anyway and said they weren't able to give me any gas to knock me out. And every time I have gone there they continually have been billing the wrong insurance and now I am getting letters from the insurance company for a huge outstanding debt! I have given them my correct insurance 3 times and they still won't bill them! This is the worst dentist office j have ever been to in my life. read more

They told me i had about 4 cavities and needed to see a specialist to get a root canal the doctor said he doesn't feel he is skilled enough to do a root canal... THEN told me to come back after i ran out of my medication. Came back, a week later and they told me i can't be on pain medicine for ever since i would get addicted... thanks for the advise but i'm in PAIN not looking for a high especially from vicodin which does just enough to take some pain away not much to get all hung up on and ruin my life including my body, but thanks for the advise HA. So i went to another dentist who informed me that they couldn't read the x rays they did on my teeth, re did the x rays and had more cavities and no need to see a specialist, and at the time i was perscribed a non narcotic in which i should of been prescribed or at least offered it in the first place if they were so worried about me getting addicted they should have no prescribed it to me, also the "doctor" would just walk out as im asking him questions, ridiculous service extremely rude i absolutely DO NOT recommend this place. I balled my eyes out after the visit considering the fact they made me out to be some pill head. Took my mom to Glisan Dental for two extractions. My mom was apprehensive and anxious during the entire procedure, and the dentist did nothing to alleviate her anxiety. He was a young gentleman who neglected to introduce himself when he stepped into the room and said nothing to my mom during the whole procedure except "open." He did not wait after administering anesthesia, and she wasn't fully numbed before he began. After the extractions were done, he immediately stepped out. No post op instructions were given by the dentist, no pain prescription given, and NO rapport was built. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. He should be ashamed to call himself a dentist. They straight up lied to me about me having a cavity. I went in for a cleaning, they also did a 360° x-ray which is more sophisticated than a regular x-ray. They told me I had a cavity but didn't point out anything on the x-ray. The location where they claimed the cavity was, is very visible to me and I didn't see anything wrong at all. I've only had 2 cavities my entire life. My gut feeling was that they were lying, so I never got the filling done. They also said I need a deep cleaning, I didn't get that done either. Flash forward to a few days ago, which is a year later, I go to my new dentist office for a cleaning. They take new x-rays, and also had my 360° x-ray sent over from this office. Guess what! I have absolutely no cavities. I can't believe they lied to me to try and make more money. Also, the 360° x-ray wasn't covered by my insurance at the time, which ended up getting my insurance suspended. I should've been more careful with what I allowed them to perform on me (even though I specifically said I only wanted things done that were covered by my insurance 100%) Also, because they claimed I needed a deep cleaning, they did a very lazy and sub-par job of cleaning my teeth when I was there. The hygienist was very apathetic about it. And my new dentist office, didn't conclude I need a deep cleaning. So there's another thing they lied about. Don't go here! Glisan Dental is one of the friendliest dentist offices I have ever visited in my life. When I had really nice insurance I was never treated with more respect and attention. The dental practitioners (Jane and Lee) where kind, efficient and very considerate of my time and sensitive gums. They all took the time to make sure that I was informed and felt comfortable. I have been going to this dentist for several years for cleanings and exams. I recently found out that I had serious problems with my teeth because I was referred to a periodontist. Apparently I have a very serious overbite and needed to have braces. This was never recommended by Glisan Dental all they kept saying was that I had cavities when my teeth would chip, it turned out that my teeth were banging on each other. I thought this was a good place to go because the prices seemed fair, but I have many fillings that I should not have gotten. I think they are fine for regular dentistry but if you have any problems look for a specialist to help you. read more

I went to Glisan Dental about 3 months ago, my eye tooth broke off. The dentist gave me a shot of novocaine in the roof of my mouth to remove the rest of the tooth. He shot the novocaine straight into the roof of my mouth, not taking time to make sure it did not hurt much, no it hurt terribly because he did not take his time, he was in a hurry, did not care how much pain it caused me. The dentist took impressions and said to come back the next day for a partial to put in my mouth, until the gums healed, to wear only for looks. I went back, the partial did not match my other eye tooth and there was nothing on it to hook onto my other teeth. He took another impression and had me come back two days later, in the meantime I was going around without a front tooth. The second time he took impressions, he came into the room to talk to me, without giving me a chance to remove all of the stuff from around my mouth. I started to rub it off, since I was not allowed to go the restroom to get the stuff off and he asked me to not get it onto his floor. The partial does not fit right and this man treated me with disrespect and I think he is prejudice against anyone who is not asian because he treated me badly. read more
