First off.... I have to say that Dr. Levene is amazing!!! He is so GENTLE and PATIENT. I say this because I am a huge baby when it comes to any type of dentists (bad experience in the past). So I have to have a root canal.... I think the worst part of it is the shot for numbing. He waited till I was ready and was gentle giving the shot. Mind you, I still felt it but not as bad as I had worked it up in mind. April (asst) is super nice and personable, same with receptionist, Elsie. Sadly I have had a number of root canals over the years. I was referred to Dr Lin by my dentist for yet another. I know what to expect and I steeled myself to get through it! I found Dr Lin and his staff to be very kind and reassuring, but I was still hanging on to the chair for dear life. The Dr showed me the xrays, discussed my options and I said we should get it done. So it started. From the start it went very smoothly! The numbing shots were as easy as I have experienced in years! I began to relax! It was a long procedure, but I left feeling zero pain. After the anesthestic wore off the tooth was a little tender, but very tolerable. By the next day I had to remind myself that I had had the procedure. Dr Lin, was efficient, gentle and thorough. Root canals are always a terrible experience but for the situation, it was the best experience I could have asked for. Quick Medical Background: Had a root canal 2-3 years ago at another place - the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life. Had another tooth that needed a root canal but I procrastinated because the first root canal was so traumatic. As a result, the affected tooth had severe decay (). Flash forward to Dr. Lin- Really fun personality, kept things lighthearted, and very knowledgeably walked me through the condition of my tooth, and the treatment plan. He assured me that pain was the one thing I shouldn't worry about. And I didn't! Felt almost no pain or discomfort throughout the entire procedure (about 1.5 hours). He was very good at the anesthesia injections, and throughout the entire procedure would ask if I was doing okay. The minute I felt a pinch of pain, he stopped, and immediately administered more anesthesia (didn't feel the second round because I was already numb). After the procedure, he showed me the x-rays and pointed out the improvements. He also walked me though the aftercare steps in needed to take. Dr. Lin's staff were extremely nice, caring, and friendly. Highly recommend going to Dr. Lin for a root canal. The experience will be a thousand percent better!! read more

Dr. Lin is very good at what he does. I had 2 root canals performed by him and both times it was very pleasant and I didn't feel anything. It has been a year now from the last root canal I had done by him on my molar and I have no problems with it. He recently did a root canal on my front tooth and my dentist was impressed with Dr Lin's quality. My dentist said the hole was very small and well done. It's been a few weeks now since the root canal was performed on my front tooth and there is no pain. I can tell Dr. Lin is good at what he does. If you need a root canal, you want it done by Dr Lin. Okay. This was my first root canal and I was so nervous. I mean I heard so many horror stories, but Dr. Lin was so great. He numbed me just in the right place so only my tooth was numb and I could still feel my lips! Dr. Lin kept me oh so calm and I am pretty sure I fell asleep a few times during my procedure. It didn't even feel like 2 hours! My only thing is that I was in and out of there so quickly that I didn't get to even open up US Weekly. This guy is the way to go for any root canals. Dr. Lin made my front tooth root canal experience so much better! I was extraordinarily nervous of the entire procedure but Dr. Lin took the time to answer my many, many, questions thoroughly, which really helped ease my mind about the entire process. I was scheduled with my regular dentist to have a root canal and he determined that I needed to go to a specialist rather than complete the work himself. Thank you to the entire staff at Pacific Endodontics. I had an emergency root canal procedure I needed done and they were so quick to contact my dental insurance and give me a quote within hours without having to visit their office. Soon, they were able to schedule me to be seen within days, given the pandemic situation. Their office was clean and the entire staff followed all CDC guidelines by wearing masks and taking patient's temperature as they walked in. I had to be seen a few times, my choice, to make sure the infection/inflammation was the root cause. Pacific Endodontics is amazing! I have had too many root canals done (not something I'm proud of!) by several different doctors. I was looking for a new endodontist because I didn't like the one I had gone to prior. After searching for hours on Yelp, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Lin. I called the office and spoke with Angel, the receptionist. She was extremely sweet. I explained how nervous I was because of my previous experiences and she assured me everything would be okay. She called me prior to my appointment to go over my benefits and what my cost would be. And after my procedure she took her time to explain in detail what I should expect with the healing process. Dr. Lin was friendly as soon as I met him and he also offered me a lot of assurance that things would be fine and if I had felt any pain to let him know right away. Fortunately, I never felt pain the entire procedure... and they made sure I didn't. Both him and his assistant asked me several times if I was okay. He also explained the process and what he was doing throughout the procedure. Before we started his assistant gave me Advil! I've never ever experienced that at any other dentist office before. The procedure lasted an appropriate amount of time (about 1 hour) and the best part is I have NOOOO pain after the procedure (minus soreness). I couldn't believe that I didn't have to take insane amounts of Advil the day after the procedure to help ease the pain. Nope! I didn't have to take any!! I would highly suggest calling Pacific Endodontics to ask if they take your insurance and if they do, schedule the appointment! Just do it. You will feel better after the procedure is over and Dr. Lin and his staff will make you as comfortable as possible along the way. read more

Had my root canal done this morning and it was a good experience . I have had trouble trying to find time to get this piece of crap tooth fixed and they saved me by quickly getting me an appt on Martin Luther King Day so it didn't clash with my work schedule . Dr Maximillian Linn was friendly, explained things well and was soft spoken. I was scared of dental procedures all my life and Dr Noha Nour referred me to him and I aM thankful becausE I probally would have went another ten years ignoring teeth out of fear . He did great . His assistant .. wish I remembwred her name .. was super sweet and I love how they worked well togeethwr and how efficient she was . The girl at the desk that did my paperwork was prompt and efficient and educated . I really liked this place and I'm super picky. Sooooo. Normally, when one is in pain, there is nothing funny about the situation Unless you go to Pacific Endodontics and get to hear two comedians go at it while you try not to laugh with sharp objects in your mouth. Brian and Dr. Lin are great and make you feel welcome and safe even if you are cantankerous from a terrible tooth ache. The receptionist is quite protective of Dr. Lin, but that is understandable with patients that can be stressed and rude. Pain makes us crazy...and then Brian and Dr. Lin make you laugh. Dr. Lin is fantastic! I would recommend him to everyone. I was in some serious pain and he was able to schedule me an appointment the same day and a root canal the next day. It was my first root canal and I was pretty nervous but he was able to keep me calm. He also explained the procedure to me in terms that I could understand. I was terrified to go in for a root canal. How unlucky of me that I just have a hairline hole in my tooth. I didn't have a cavity. Just a hole in my tooth I was born with that had to be fixed by having a root canal. Anyway they deserve 6 plus stars! Elsy and April were the receptionist and they were nice and great. Dr Lavene only does root canals. That's what they specialize in. The place was clean and everyone was very nice. It made me feel comfortable and relaxed.
