Thankfully, did a little more research and came across HomeStar Security, and it was day and night difference. Talking to Mike was great - totally understood my needs, didn't press for any features or services that I didn't want, and got me scheduled for an install appointment (upgrading existing equipment) in a short timeframe. Brent - the technician who came to the house to perform the install - was on time, friendly, efficient, and helpful. Was quoted 2 hours for the install, and finished exactly within 2 hours. The system got installed the second day after they came, and everything worked precisely and accurately. The package comes with a motion sensor, but I already have one from my old system, so they give me an extra key fob with no charge instead of the sensor. It was very nice. They also put an ADT secured sign outside my house to increase the security level more. They called me after installation, making sure everything is okay. I have some troubles using ADT pulse (the iOS app for controlling the system), and they stayed on the line helping me trouble shooting and fixed the issue. Also, got quick enough replies when I ask them questions via text msg. Very nice product and even nicer service. 5*.

Wade, the owner of the company, responded quickly. He is very professional and runs a very honest business. He scheduled a time to come and take a look at the issue. Meanwhile, asked me to take photos of the control panel errors, motion detector model number, etc. and send him prior to his visit. Shortly after he replied back with a quick suggestion and asked me to try them. During this experience, he followed up with me a couple of times via text to see if I need help. We did a face time and he easily walked me through the control panel to troubleshoot and suggested a couple of changes that I took care of myself. My security system is now fixed. We had our facility outfitted with an old madrigal security camera system with coax wires. After…read moregetting few estimates from installers, we could not believe how much savings SeattleDVR Inc. did to upgrade our system to 4K cameras. We chose to have 16 of 8 megapixel cameras. Peter was fantastic. He is trustworthy and responsive. He came out the same day and gave us 2 options, one that uses the coax wires as a network line that saved us tens of thousand dollars of cabling and wires, and another estimate from their installer that includes new Cat6e wires. The estimates are both almost half price than the quotes we got from 3 other big companies. After asking from the neighboring facilities, we found out they've done a lot of this old warehouses and have the knowledge, expertise and highly recommended. They planned out the location of each camera and relocate some to have a face recognizable images even wearing hats, or hood and read license plates as they come and go to our driveway. They took a lot of care to make sure the wire runs were perfectly, hidden and on conduit for outdoor cameras. There are zero wires visible. They far exceeded my expectations. The camera system is really nice, very crisp, clear video and the installation is perfect by the third party installer. The interface is so self-explanatory and easy to use.

We were with Northwest Security and Sound for home and small business for quite a few years. The technicians were always polite and friendly (shout out to technician Joel!). Other than billing error where they thought we owed on past bills until I sent proof of payment they were fine. Then a problem developed where the alarm would not set in our small space and NSS could not figure it out. The nature of our business is such that we absolutely cannot go without an alarm set but was told by Rick to just deactivate a zone (which would be great until someone breaks in through a door of that zone). Repeated trip charges for this same, seemingly basic problem prompted me to finally ask via email (can post if necessary) if there would be a charge to come yet again for the same problem and Rick freaked out and sent a certified letter saying they are dropping us? Seriously? That's how you treat a long time customer? And out of spite, I guess, he terminated service at our home as well. All for asking if there would be yet another trip charge for the same problem. Who wouldn't ask that question? They also couldn't figure out the cause of a repeated false alarm on a smoke detector and kept charging us for trip charges, alarm replacements, keypad replacement, and even a whole new panel and still couldn't get it resolved. Very disappointing to be treated this way. So far, so good with another local company.
