My sister and I love trying new places. It was our first time here, all of our questions were answered! The food tasted SO good, straight like my momma just made it in the kitchen. I got a sandwich and it came with jalapeños already (if u don't like spicy ask to remove lol.) it had everything it needed to! Big size, came with salad and fruit. Our drinks were also so good, the service was really friendly and it was clean and comfortable inside! Thank you!!

Winner winner! I found my acai bowl in the South Bay! My favorite is in Senior Mangoes in North Park but it's too far now and parking is too hard. I've been looking for a place that has the simplest acai bowl with the classic toppings. Bananas, strawberry, mangoes, granola, coconut flakes and honey. Nice little shop with plenty of parking, and sweet ladies behind the counter, I'm coming again!

**February 2024: Monday Morning Visit** I hadn't eaten a lot of fruits and veggies on this San Diego trip so when I saw this little shop down the street I decided to pay them a visit. The store is really colorful on the inside and there were a couple of chairs/tables for patrons to dine in. I was very curious to try their chamango and other Mexican treats, but I was thirsty so I opted for a fresh made to order smoothie. I ordered a medium Passion Berry $6.30 which was a mix of all things berries (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries) and my friend got a medium Dragon Fruit (with strawberry/bananas) $7.30 (premium drink). The order was prepared quickly and it tasted bomb. If I'm in the neighborhood I would be happy to come back!

Update 2024 Pacific Fruit Bar is located in Arch Plaza off of Broadway in Chula Vista, California. Yeah, right next to the infamous Chop Shop barber. An authentic fruit, sandwich, torta, juice and smoothie eatery. All foods are made while you wait. Everything is good. It's like the hole in the wall that people don't know about until they know about it and it's worth it. Whatever item you get it can comfortably feed two. If you get a drink, at least ask for two straws. TIP: Call ahead of time if you're short on time.

Such sweet staff, reasonable pricing, got a huge açaí bowl for just under $13 and we loved it! Very generous with the toppings and açaí was thick (hate when it's runny). Clean, tidy, and welcoming environment, would definitely come back!

A Hidden Gem for Healthy, Fresh Eats! I recently visited Pacific Fruit Bar with my three-year-old son as we were craving some fruit bowls and smoothies that fit our diet restrictions (no refined sugars). I was hoping to find a local spot to satisfy our cravings, and this place delivered. The menu and setup were a bit overwhelming at first, but the pictures made navigating the options easier. The ambiance isn't anything to rave about, but if you're here for delicious, healthy eats, that's what truly matters. There's some indoor seating, but not much. I did my best to speak Spanish when ordering, but the servers spoke enough English that the communication barrier didn't cause any problems. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We shared a dragon fruit bowl, and you could really taste the difference with the fresh, real ingredients they use. It was fantastic--topped with a generous amount of fresh fruit that made every bite feel vibrant and healthy. The price was also a pleasant surprise: only $12 for a high-quality, delicious bowl. I also grabbed a coconut sorbet bowl to go for a friend and got to sample it before leaving. It was just as delightful as the dragon fruit, with that same freshness you can taste. I plan to come back soon to try more of their bowl flavors--acai, piña colada, passion fruit, & matcha. I'm also eager to try their food options. Definitely recommend if you're looking for healthy, fresh, and tasty options without breaking the bank!

Tried this place for the first time and I'm gonna add it to my list for açaí spots. Stumbled upon it as me and my bf were craving an açaí bowl and everbowl was closed lol. Their açaí bowls are one size but you still get a decent amount. They come with strawberry, banana, mango, coconut, honey, and granola :)

I had plans to go to Rosarito for the weekend, but it was cancelled due to the 'high risk' travel advisory. I was really craving a cup of nieve de garrafa like you would get crossing the border back. I decided to stop at this fruit bar since we've been here before (for an açaí bowl). I came in with hopes that they would have the nieve or something similiar. I asked what the difference between a chamango, mangonada, and a diablito. The lady said the chamango is more smoothie like, mangonada is more like a raspado, and the diablito is made with nieve. DING DING DING! Exactly what I was looking for, I was so excited! It came out perfect and the nieve itself had so much flavor! Definitely will be back!!!

I go to coffee shops in search of good studying locations. I enjoy a nice drink with a small breakfast or pastry. They only had two options for food. A plain bagel with cream cheese or a breakfast sandwich. The applewood bacon sandwich was really good. The spot itself was calm. However, the chairs were really uncomfortable. I would not recommend if you have wider hips. The booth tables had better seating options, but the tables were very low. I had to move locations because the outlet closest to the window did not work. Overall, the food was okay and the vibe was calm. One thing I would like to add is the customer service was fine however, the employees were really loud and obnoxious talking among themselves. Cussing repeatedly and talking about intimate life situations.

We came on a Sunday morning and were the only party there, and when the barista opened the 1 fridge they had it was surprisingly pretty empty. They do have a rotating seasonal menu with some fun flavors. We got: - Hot Vanilla Lavender Latte (4/5): Very noticeable lavender scent and flavor, unlike many other locations that make it more subtle. If you love lavender I would recommend! - Iced Vanilla Bean Latte w/ oat milk (4.5/5): Very solid latte that I wouldn't mind having again, but also not particularly unique. Also worth noting the oat milk they use is planet oat, which isn't my preferred choice. Overall, solid coffee spot with solid beans. I wasn't interested in any of their summer seasonal flavors, but would be down to try out other seasonal menu items next time I'm in town.

I actually found this place when doing research for top-tier cold brew in San Diego county. It's a chic, cozy, and not overly-pretentious coffee spot on Broadway in downtown that really embraces a black, gold, and deep blue color scheme. I ordered a cold brew in a to-go cup, and the clerk welcomed me to sit in the shop as long as I wanted despite that. They had a specialized machine to create the cold brew through slow drip, which was unusual and cool. The bathroom, by the way, was also really clean and nice--bizarrely gaudy in its presentation and contrast with the rest of the shop, but clean as hell and cozy. My cold brew was complex, flavorful, and overall a joy to drink. I hung out and people watched for a while. Then I sipped on my way down along Broadway toward where I parked. The only downside of this experience is the parking situation. It's very difficult to find parking within 4 blocks of this location, so be ready for a quick jaunt. Otherwise you'll likely have to pay for parking. That alone could range from $2-15 for 30 minutes, depending on whether you find a meter or have to use a garage.
