    What we received instead

TL:DR: Drink was made wrong/ incomplete and the barista was kind of rude at the end of our encounter. Me and my partner sent to Seven Seas this morning to order one of their summer drinks, the Banana Split Latte, after seeing it on social media. The drink we received versus what's being shown on social media was night and day. Ours was missing the banana cold foam, nuts on top, and the cherry. Plus the drink wasn't filled all the way. What's the point of ordering a drink advertised as a banana split latte if it's missing the banana element? Additionally, we noticed that at the handoff bar, there were no lids for the cold drinks. We asked the barista where they were, and they bristled, "they're right there" without even verifying that the cold lids were stocked. So, we left with incomplete drinks without l

They currently have a blood orange and basil latte on their seasonal menu and it is amazing! Lattes can sometimes feel a bit heavy but this combo of flavors makes it so refreshing. As always the team is super kind, love it here!

I haven't been back in a bit but I still love the vibe here. Came on a Saturday morning and it was busy but I was able to find a spot. They gave a decent amt of indoor seating and a few small tables set up outside. I got a bag of beans (they offer a free drip or espresso shot when you get beans) and the seasonal mulled and cranberry latte, half sweet. The latte was very unique. It was almost savory because of the spices they used. The cranberry flavor was a little light. Mostly spiced flavor. Happy I tried it though.

Hands down one of the best coffee spots in San Diego. Their seasonal options are delicious but most definitely still coffee. Right now they have a blackberry vanilla. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Always cute dog viewing in this neighborhood. Sometimes a little line, but they get through it quickly. They also have a good loyalty program! Open and inviting community space.

This place was really cute! I loved the presentation for my cappuccino. Lots of nice touches to the interior like a fish tank in the back and a giant mural. They have about 5 tables which were completely full with people working on their laptops. I was able to snag an indoor/outdoor seat on the bar window. Decently priced and I also had a bagel which ended up hitting the spot. Nice baristas!

First time customer! Super cute coffee shop. I loved the nautical theme. Dog friendly which was a plus since we got to see several sweet puppies while sipping our lattes.

Tried Seven Seas from their food truck at the Little Italy farmers market and was so impressed by their coffee! They weren't overly sweet and the flavors were on point. The honey cinnamon was a perfect balance of cinnamon spice and slight honey sweetness that complemented the coffee well and the caramel cold brew had a delicious, rich caramel flavor without the sweetness that made for an incredibly smooth, delicious coffee experience.

Been coming to Seven Seas for years now, and there is a reason why! The coffee and staff are great! The space is unique and clean, with a decent amount of seating inside and outside. The menu has something for everyone, whether that's a straightforward pour over or a unique flavor. They've also got some delicious food on the menu. The Driving Me Caprese toast is amazing!

The banana split latte really does taste like a banana split!!! It was such a good drink, it had a maraschino cherry and walnut garnish and a banana cream foam top! I was able to get my drink with oat milk but the cream on top only had a dairy option. I really wanted to try their desserts because they looked so tasty, so I will definitely have to go back. The location is pretty small, they have a few small tables inside that seats about two people at each one. I really enjoyed the sea esthetic and decor, including the cool fish tank they had. There is no parking lot so it is all street parking. Staff was friendly and the coffee was served quickly!

Our party grabbed a few of these coffees as a get-ready snack and I'm glad we did because it definitely kept us up for the long night! Yummy drinks and good central location for a grocery run. It's a very small spot and not that much seating on the inside and there's street parking available. We ordered through their app and it was fairly easy to customize your drink online as well, which I appreciate. We waited quite some time for our drinks. We waited for some sort of announcement or indication that our drinks were ready but they were just sitting at the counter. If you order through their app maybe sure to check in at the counter to see if your drinks are ready!

This coffee roasters falls in my top three in SD. The beans are divine, the staff members are cheerful and polite. Today's experience I got my usual and left with a bag of beans! Friendly atmosphere; this place is cozy on this 40° day.

On my most recent visit I tried a seasonal latte, tarragon, after being intrigued by its description on their IG. It was in fact delicious! The tarragon flavor came through in a subtle but noticeable way. My only note is that they make a very milky latte, without strong coffee flavor - which isn't my preference, but is still tasty. Small place with some seating but best to plan taking your coffee to go during peak hours. Staff is friendly and efficient.

I like the ambiance of the place, marine themed, casual trendy. I ordered a latte and a lox bagel for breakfast and the latte was great, but the bagel was taking forever to come out. I saw the lady behind me in line had gotten the same bagel order before me so I asked to inquire and they had lost the order. So bummed. It took a long time for it to come out after I requested it again, and I found the bagel so plain. Granted I had recently eaten my way through all the bagel shops in NYC, but I think they could have done better!

So tempting and delicious. I opted for a regular latte with oat milk. It was very smooth, lightly roasted, and balanced. It is exactly how i like my coffee! I like that Goldchild Coffee Roasters has their own character and way of operating compared to the newer shops that have been appearing. This coffee spot is known to put more care and create an experience for the people that come in and with the quality that came to me-- I'm really grateful because it felt like I was getting my moneys worth! I didn't see any specialty drink (you know like lattes with delicious syrups). So, I decided to get an Iced Latte. They mentioned that their iced drinks don't come with ice-- it's shaken! I really liked this aspect because I could walk for hours and my drink wouldn't get watered down at all! The to go cup actually felt really heavy when I compared it to my friend's matcha. It was interesting as it was just a cold plain latte-- something in the way they extracted the drink must have made it really full bodied! The latte was smooth, well balanced (ratio of milk), and the flavor of the espresso really came through. It was beautiful, really delicious! My friend ordered a Matcha with a little bit of vanilla and he really really enjoyed it. My other friend had the Japan Cold Brew and was mind blown with the flavor as he thought he was just getting a plain ol' cold brew. The owner swung by to check on how things were and told us a little bit about the place and what she recommends we try next time based off our ordering choice. It was very sweet of her and I can't wait to come by next time! I really wanted to order "for here," but time didn't let me, so that's def for next visit as well. Next time, I'll try "Numbers" Latte or their most popular, "Morning in Stockholm," these two were recommended by the owner! She mentioned these flavors are also good with the matcha. I heard great things about their pastries as well, which I will be ordering next (: highly recommend Goldchild Coffee Roasters!
