I still like this place but the fish portions are really kind of a joke. They literally use a tiny melon ball scooper for the fish. In a $12 large bowl, there is probably about $3 worth of fish. They want to load you up on rice and other ingredients and I think fish should be the focus. read more

Healthy and refreshing. I've been here about 5 times and I love Pacific Kitchen because it's consistent and delicious. I don't feel heavy after eating here like I do when I leave other places with a full belly and we all know that guilt that comes with that heavy belly. The spicy tuna, slaw and crab salads are my faves but all the toppings are really good- not too sweet like other places. I was really excited to try this place given how many stars it got. I ordered the mixed greens, spicy tuna and spicy shrimp, crab, masago with the ginger ponzu sauce. My first thought was how stingy they were on the protein. I actually thought some fell to the bottom of the bowl but no such luck, that was all the protein you get. I even asked for double the crab (which is extra). The fish tasted fresh which is important. The sauce was nothing special. The portion size was quite small too. I had planned on splitting it with my husband, but it was way too small for that. Overall, it was good, as in average. Definitely not worthy of my five stars. I've had better. read more

Amazing food and experience. Quality fish and toppings. Danny, the owner, provides some of the best service I've ever experienced for "fast food". Not only did he offer us a complimentary miso for our first time there but he was so nice and made great suggestions for our bowls. During our 30min dinner, he had at least 5 regulars come in that he greeted by name and clearly had build a repor with these people. Hidden treasure in Stevenson Ranch! We were getting so bored with all the same things we've been cooking and eating during the pandemic when we remembered this little hole in the wall. When we got there, there was a little line from the counter to the door. By the time we left the line was almost down the sidewalk to the dry cleaners! Fresh fish, yummy sauces, efficient servers making the 8 bowls we were ordering, plus soups and one cooked meal from the kitchen! 2 stars because of the women who works there (forgot her name). Horrible customer service, she puts the smallest portions compared to the owner who is really nice and generous with her portions. Call ahead of time and check to make sure the owner is there and his wife is not, or else you will get 1/10 the normal portions. She needs to realize that an extra drop of crispy onion for a regular customer will not put her out of business but rather keep the customer coming back. I don't think she understands the concept of a regular customer vs the cost of a single crispy onion. But the owner always takes care of us, he's great. read more

Great poke bowls! Fresh and flavorful with a good choice of toppings and sauces. I really like their ginger ponzu - not too heavy like some mayo based sauces can be. They also have a pot of miso soup that you can get a side of for no additional charge with your meal. Nice touch. I took a star off because they need to streamline their operation.... Each time I've been in, they have run out or been out of something. Once, spring mix, once avocado, once the miso soup. That time a dad had his 5 year old and a toddler who was SCREAMING their head off in a car seat for about 15 minutes waiting for more soup to come out. I could not hear my dinner companion and I was getting a knot in my stomach trying to eat and listen to the screaming all at once. I do blame the dad here ( forgo the free soup dude or wait outside or take your kid out and hold them!!!!!) - but if the soup had not been empty - this may have been avoided. Also, at key busy times, they need more workers - It can take a long time to get your food even with only 2 or 3 people ahead of you. Maybe they aren't prepared for their success - but as long as they keep turning out great food - they will need to hire more people. A good problem to have :) read more

I used to really like this poke bowl restaurant. The owners are nice people, but they don't seem to be good at running a business based on customer service. They're cheap with their products. If you ask for a little more of one topping to compensate for not getting other toppings, they will still charge you extra. I'm not complaining about their policy to charge customers for extra. But they don't even tell the customers that they are about to be charged the extra fees. This is a big problem with principle and courtesy. So you can walk in expecting to pay $12 for a bowl and walk out confused as to why the bill came out to $20 without any explanation. They just take the liberty to charge extra for anything they can! They don't tell you certain toppings would cost extra before completing an order. Something like avocado is obviously an extra charge. But other places usually won't charge extra for a double serving of the same free topping in place of declining other free toppings. I also notice that they tap their small serving scooper to make sure you get the minimal portion. That's just tacky and unprofessional. I have referred many friends to this place, and used to be a regular. But I will not be giving them my business anymore because I don't want the inconvenience of having to ask about every item before ordering. I want to be able to order comfortably, just like anywhere else, and know what I'm getting, at the price posted. If you don't want any surprises at the check out register, ask if it costs extra before you choose the toppings. read more

I've been coming here for probably almost two years now. I never liked poke, until this place. The poke is amazing but the customer service is probably the worst i've ever experienced. I come in and get treated like i'm literally not a human. I never leave bad reviews but i've been coming here for so long and not once has the women owner smiled at me before. She snaps at me and i read in another review that people think she treats people difference because their latino. i definitely agree with that. It feels like she targets people. i've been a loyal customer and it feels like she's death staring me anytime i walk in. it seems as though if someone younger than 25 walks in she hates them. I'll be sitting down and she'll give me an awful look and then be extremely nice to people her age. It's distasteful and rude. She has obviously raised the prices on everything and will put basically nothing in your bowl and when you ask for a little more she'll charge you extra by such a large stretch. it's unbelievable. i don't understand why she treats people and myself that way. i understand that prices are going up but making the miso soup free and then changing it to 2.50 for an actual sip of lukewarm miso soup is unbelievable. This isn't a one time thing. It's every single day i have walked in for 2 years. How are you going to own a business and treat your customers like actual dog shit. read more

After having a bad experience in the past I decided to give this place another try. The young staff is really kind but the two owners are so incredibly rude that I can't bring myself to order from here ever again. I ordered pickup and put in my notes to get an extra eel sauce on the side. No where on the online ordering system was there an option to pay for extra sauce so I assumed I could just ask. When I arrived to pick up i noticed no extra sauce so I asked the older woman up front if I could have a little extra eel sauce on the side. She was a bit rude and said that shes letting me have this for free this time but next time know that I'm supposed to pay for it. I apologized and said I had but that in the notes but I didn't know I had to pay. She snapped at me and said "like I said you have to pay for it". Not as bad as my experience with her husband when he threatened to take pay away from the teenagers who got my order wrong and then examined my bowl and picked it apart to show me that it wasn't wrong. But still rude nonetheless. After reading other reviews noting the rude owners and specifically Latino customers saying they felt this difference when watching them interact with non-latino customers, I wonder if my bad experiences are because I am Latino as well. read more
