I used to drive from Valencia three times a week to have lunch here. I loved the service and consistency of ingredients. You do get a miso soup included with the new owners so that is nice. I just wish they would use some sort of romaine lettuce like most poke places. They seem to serve mixed greens now and although that might be easier to serve, it does not pair well with poke. It takes away from the other ingredients. Mixed greens have a lot of stems and have more of a bite- which is why you tend to have salad dressing and fruits , cheese etc. Other than that small gripe, I think the new owners and past workers are doing a great job.

It was our second time here today and it did not disappoint. The first time we came here was a few years ago and I must have forgotten to write a review. Anyway fast forward to today, we came here for dinner since we wanted something healthy and light. The place was not busy and we were helped not long after arriving. We both got a small poke bowl with salad (base). They were out of salmon so I ended up getting tuna and spicy tuna. I got most of their toppings and for the sauce, I got the Yuzu House and chili oil. It had a kick to it in my opinion. He got the tuna, spicy tuna and crab and shrimp for his protein. He also got a lot of toppings and for the sauce, he got the habanero and this korean spicy sauce. I forgot the name of it. The price is okay. Its reasonable for a poke. The staff are very nice and our order came with a bowl of miso soup. The downside is that this place is closed on weekends. I hope they reconsider and open at least on a saturday. We will definitely be back here

I have been going here since it opened, but it recently came under new ownership and wow! They have me the bowls, expirience and food so much better. They have the point system back, way better portions and miso soup. If you haven't ever been or haven't been here is a while, don't walk- run! It is the best poke bowls in town- no question!

Came here on a Friday, and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The restaurant is in a nice plaza. I ordered the katsu, which was listed as the daily special--turns out there was nothing special about it. No discount, no larger portion, just a regular meal at full price. For $13-$15, you get a small portion with less than 10 pieces, which honestly isn't worth it. You'd be better off going to a Hawaiian BBQ spot for a more satisfying meal at the same price. The poke bowl was good, but again, the price doesn't justify it. Overall, I wouldn't come back. There are better options for the same or better value elsewhere.

This is the salad they gave me in my poke bowl.

Went back yesterday for the first time in a long time. I got half salad and half rice like I always get with poke and they gave me some nasty looking iceberg lettuce. Needless to say I did not eat it which is annoying considering how expensive poke is.

I usually opt for the 50/50 mixed green and rice base mix (choice of white sticky rice, brown rice or ginger brown rice), along with a three scoop protein option. Tuna, Salmon, Albacore, Scallops and more. Tons of great toppings and sauces that are customizable and loaded to the max. Lots of free parking out front in a retail strip mall setting. I had the chicken, my fiancé had the apple pork or something? I can't remember the exact names because the night went in a blur. We were there for over two hours. We recently had a death in our family which led us to look for a restaurant away from the city. In…read moredoing some research we came to find that Newhall had a few new restaurants, based on the reviews and the pictures we traveled there to the Newhall Refinery. The street front seating and building architecture is very appealing and welcoming. As you enter the main doors, you are greeting by friendly staff. We were offered any open seating, we decided to take a table against the back wall that was adjacent to the entry. The decor inside is very rustic with a touch of micro brewery, the ceiling has many tap handles that adorn the ceiling. The menu and food, we were initially drawn into the Refinery since they seem to be the only spot that offered Brunch and Mimosas in the downtown street. Key point of clarification, the Mimosas are simi bottomless (you have 90 min) to pour down, some of us really like Mimosas, plus the price was just slightly higher that we typically expect at 27, per person. Were they good, yes, so we decided to go with one Mimosa and an Old Fashion drink, it was very well done, Buffalo Trace Bourbon. We ordered from the Brunch menu, the Steak and Eggs, cooked to your liking, they did a great job on both, the one item that we were less impressed with were the overcooked Oreda looking potatoes that accompanied the meals. We also ordered the Cacio e Pepe Beni, Prosciutto, perfect poached eggs and all of the other fixings, it was great testing and the presentation was amazing. As far as my overall rating I could not give it a 5 star due to what other customers have shared in their reviews, the wait staff is not timely, almost forced friendly and possibly just lacking some restaurant experience, they did not come around or notice things like empty water glasses and a few other things, could have been understaffed possibly on this day. Overall I would still recommend the Refinery due to the location, atmosphere, drinks and main dish prep. Thank you for providing a break from reality during a very trying time in our family.

That said, I do want to give credit where it's due. Their sushi burritos are huge, and I do think they're worth the price. My favorite thing to get here has always been the salmon roll, but today I decided to try the spicy tuna and spam rolls instead. Honestly, I didn't really enjoy the flavor of either one. Lesson learned: I'll be sticking with the salmon roll from now on. I also wish they had more drink options besides Coke and Sprite. Not a major crisis, obviously, but a little more variety would be nice. The restaurant itself is pretty small and narrow, but the staff has always been polite and attentive. They helped make my dine-in experience comfortable so I appreciate that. Just to be clear: Temakitto isn't terrible by any means. I still think it's better than most sushi burrito spots I've tried, and I'm genuinely glad they were able to survive the pandemic. I would still recommend them to anyone who loves sushi burritos. I just personally don't feel like the food has the same great quality it had years ago.
