**They do not honor their check in offer. But five stars all around for having any and every beer you're looking for. When looking for the rare and limited Pliny the Elder, they were the first place I called and of course they carry it. Not only do they carry it, but they also don't limit you to just one like every other place in San Diego. Woot! Woot! For alcohol related ANYTHING, you come here.

What a freakin' gem! I have probably driven by Pacific Liquor about a bajillion times. I stopped in the other day because I used Dogfish Head's 'Fish Finder' to locate their beers locally. There are SO MANY different products to choose from that I couldn't even find the Dogfish brew I was looking for. The owner noticed me searching and came over to assist me. What a nice man. I explained I was looking for Dogfish Head's Midas Touch Beer. He walked me over to where it was located. He explained that he had broken up the four pack to singles to make it more affordable for people to just buy a single to try. I think he saw a little bit of disappointment in my eyes because he told me that if I purchased four he'd give me the four pack price ($2 discount). I of course took him up on his offer :-) I picked up a few other items while I was here. There are seriously so many craft beers available I was in heaven. I have since returned for more beer and must say I this will be a regular stop off for me. I noticed the owner labeled the dogfish head (see pic). I am sure I probably wasn't the only one who had a hard time finding it, but in my head I am flattered that he did it for me. I would say their prices are average and in some cases even lower than your typical liquor store rates. I encourage everyone to patronize this local establishment. It may sound silly, but paying the extra $1 or 2 is the way we keep our small businesses alive and keeping the $$ in our community!

    It's a sign.

Pacific Liquor has one of the greatest neon signs in San Diego. That's what initially drew me to the place, but the fine sake selection is what keeps me going back. Yes, it's on El Cajon, and yes, it can be a little shady at times, but grow some balls and check it out.

Yes!!! I can't ever just walk out without buying a glass or two. Such a great deal! Two more for my collection

The guy pouring was so nice and knowledgeable. We liked the wine so much we grabbed a bottle and decided to drink it there. Added bonus: since it was one of the featured wines, the corkage was free. Bottlecraft is a bottle shop, bar, and cheese shop all in one small, perfectly curated space. They have a lovely outdoor seating area and some indoor seating as well. There are TVs inside, so we were able to catch some exciting March Madness moments while we hung out. When we paid, the host was super friendly and brought us a little ice bucket to keep our chilled wine cold, along with two glasses, and let us choose any table we wanted. They have a wide selection of beers on tap, plus tons of bottles and cans to go. I also appreciate the large section of canned mocktails and NA beers -- love seeing that. They carry wine, beer, vermouth, and more. In the back, tucked away, is Venissimo Cheese, which is amazing. You can order cheese plates, sandwiches, and other goodies to enjoy with your drinks. Definitely check out their website for upcoming events and their current tap list. Such a fun, easy, local spot -- I'll be back.

I was willing to pay over the phone but still it was online only. I said I can be there in 10 mins can you please set one aside. He said no. I rolled the dice n raced down there only to find more selections from that brewery along with what I was looking for. I don't understand why y'all have a phone if one can not set one aside for pick up or to check availability of what's there. Carlos told me that peep would have things set aside only not to pay, so they stopped, but I was willing to pay. Long overdue review!…read more BevMo in Mission Valley is decent. It has the basics covered, but it doesn't really stand out to me. Plenty of parking and the store is spacious and has a wide selection of wine, beer, mixers, and spirits, which is great if you know what to search for. Prices are okay, sometimes competitive if you catch a sale, but not always the lowest around. Check out their 5 cent wine sale! More info. online. Service is hit or miss. Go figure! Sometimes, you'll get a helpful employee who points you in the right direction, but other times it feels like staff avoid eye contact or are understaffed to really help. Thus, I'll be on my merry way on a solo treasure hunt hoping the right bottle calls my name. The check-out line can also be a bit slow and drag during busy hours. Overall, it's a convenient one-stop shop but doesn't have the "wow" factor that would be a go-to spot nor is it that exciting, because you know your girl loves to grocery shop and browse aisles for dayssss. Vibe is more like an "errands run" rather than a "fun alchy adventure." Some pros: It's in a plaza therefore you can spend time eating or more browsing. I frequent the neighboring Ralphs, CVS, and Starbucks. If you're feeling indulgent, Nothing Bundt Cakes is nearby. 3 stars at best! Dependable pit stop, but not a standout.

Roughly a year ago, ownership changed. Prices went up. And after today, will never return as it was the second instance of horrific customer service that points to levels of psychosis. A couple months ago, I came in, had forgotten my wallet, and my phone was dead. So I grabbed my charger, and asked if I could charge my phone so I could use ApplePay to purchase my usual pack of booze from 'em. Dude just said no. I could not use an outlet to charge my phone so I could pay them. I said why not? Answer was simply: no. I left, confused, but okay, whatever. Today, I went to grab the pack, the handle ripped off immediately, and the cans rolled around the floor. I kinda scooched em together, grabbed another pack, and went to get checked out and let 'em know what happened. One person was getting checked out ahead of me, and the moment that I made eye contact with the clerk (pretty sure he's the new owner, fat dude, grey hair) and lifted my pack, pointing at the handle and starting to say "Hey dude, I ripped ---" he yelled, "WHY YOU NOT CLEAN UP??"
