The guy pouring was so nice and knowledgeable. We liked the wine so much we grabbed a bottle and decided to drink it there. Added bonus: since it was one of the featured wines, the corkage was free. Bottlecraft is a bottle shop, bar, and cheese shop all in one small, perfectly curated space. They have a lovely outdoor seating area and some indoor seating as well. There are TVs inside, so we were able to catch some exciting March Madness moments while we hung out. When we paid, the host was super friendly and brought us a little ice bucket to keep our chilled wine cold, along with two glasses, and let us choose any table we wanted. They have a wide selection of beers on tap, plus tons of bottles and cans to go. I also appreciate the large section of canned mocktails and NA beers -- love seeing that. They carry wine, beer, vermouth, and more. In the back, tucked away, is Venissimo Cheese, which is amazing. You can order cheese plates, sandwiches, and other goodies to enjoy with your drinks. It's especially nice that they have beers from a lot of small business breweries. My guy and I got a bunch of different beers to try and they've been a hit or miss overall. Don't mind the crazy old black dude who is almost ALWAYS hanging on the corner, he's harmless. 3 stars because they don't always have Natural Ice 32oz in stock, 2 for $4 out the door, can't beat that.

Yum, the possibilities! But, I digress. Anyway, I checked out and the guy said he was gonna get me a cup and I said ok cuz I don't turn down free. He came back with a beer glass that came with the lambics and put my two bottles on either side, called me a special customer and sent me on my way! But, before that, the other cool dude that had been singing Red Hot Chili Peppers with no shame was getting the info from me on some Cruzan rum drink I was asking about and letting me know that he would see about ordering it if possible. He took my name and number and I left a happy customer. I was thinking 'man, if he gets that drink for me, that would be really cool'. But I didn't think he would put much effort into it because I had only been in there once and we were only talking about a couple of bottles of inexpensive run here. Lo and behold, guess who leaves me a voicemail the very next day - Jon from Boulevard saying he found the Velvet Cinn and I could have it the next day if I want. I called him right back and found out it's only $5 more than in the desert and that's because he's only ordering a single bottle for me! I feel so special, lol. I love how they even have some of the harder to find stuff so easily accessible and at a reasonable price point. Their employees are always so friendly and knowledgeable about everything and are always so great with suggestions on what to get. He saw the penny and said "sorry I can't take this. They stopped letting us take pennies." Um, what? Okay no big deal, he'll probably just let it slide cause it's only ONE cent. No. He stood there waiting for us to give him more money like we didn't just give him the total rung up. He said "I can take a nickel if you have that." Why, so you can charge us more than the actual price? Just for reference, no, we didn't have a nickel and we're not taking a bunch of coins, hence the exact change. I worked retail when they discontinued making pennies so in this case, I just let it go cause it's pocket lint at this point. He went as far as to call the manager (with an annoyed look on his face like we're the problem). We decided not to buy it because we're not waiting around for a manager to discuss something as small as a penny. What an absolutely ridiculous policy, do better. Mind you, they could just charge it so it comes out to $10 even but it makes me feel like they add the penny so you have to pay more.

Another bonus is that they not only have any liquor that you could typically be looking for but also some pretty rare alcohol that are pretty hard to come by Lastly, what I personally care a lot about is how I am treated at any establishment and that is something they are great at!
