After a full month of car shopping (I'm definitely the type who researches everything before making…read morea big purchase), I landed on the perfect vehicle--a Hyundai Tucson Limited--from Dick's Hillsboro Hyundai, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. My salesman, Evan Miller, was outstanding from start to finish. There was absolutely no pressure at any point. We stayed in touch over the entire month while I worked through my options, and he was patient, responsive, and incredibly accommodating--even when I know I wasn't the easiest customer. He stuck with it until we found exactly what I wanted. With the help of Sales Manager Jacob Inukai, they not only secured the specific vehicle I was after, but actually exceeded my expectations. On top of that, they worked with me to get the deal exactly where I needed it to be. (Side note: there are a couple of fellow Army grunts working there as well--if you know, you know.) I also want to give a shoutout to Dave in Finance--he made that part of the process genuinely enjoyable, which is not something you hear often. Let's be honest--car salespeople don't always have the best reputation, and sometimes that's earned. I'm also at the stage in life where I have zero patience for pushy, high-pressure tactics. That's exactly what I didn't experience here. The entire team was straightforward, easy to work with, and focused on making sure I left satisfied. I can't say enough good things about this group. If you're looking for a dealership that treats you right and works with you--not against you--this is it. Thanks again to everyone at Dick's Hillsboro Hyundai--I'll definitely be back. Jeff B

We helped our daughter lease a vehicle, her very FIRST, from Dick's Hyundai & it was by far the…read moreWORST experience ANY first-buyer could have! Sadly, it wasn't that happy, red ribbon on the car, memories to last a lifetime (in a good way) experience. She was coming from out-of-state as she is in her last year of her doctoral program & relocating to Oregon on a government contract to complete her requirements. So, in short, she will be a Dr. next year, she has a credit score of 725+, and proof of income! We even hired a broker for a seamless transaction, as we all work, don't have time to waste, didn't want to deal with any headaches, and wanted to make sure we closed a fair deal in a timely manner. Originally Lyle was the salesperson our broker was working with. Then we got switched to Domingo because Lyle "resigned". Apparently Lyle made promises that couldn't be fulfilled such as - they had an exact vehicle my daughter wanted that would be ready for her when she arrived, including the specifications she requested. According to Lyle, she was approved and just needed to come in and sign the paperwork. I flew in with my daughter and was picked up by Domingo from the airport, a very nice young man and good gesture to pick us up. Once we got to the dealership (at 6PM-ish, they closed at 7PM) the nightmare began. First, they didn't have the exact vehicle they promised and were going to charge her $880 JUST in parts to check all her boxes. Mind you, we were picking the vehicle up, so now she'd have to pay more money than what she was promised AND have to bring the vehicle back in. Additionally, they started the process ALL over, meaning ALL the way back to the qualifying stage! This was not mentioned AT ALL until we asked why they were asking so many questions again, this had all been covered with Lyle. To make a LONG, AGONIZING story as short as possible, they said she now DOESN'T qualify and said, "I would need to co-sign for her" like it was no big deal; I got the impression it was expected. No, that is not going to work. We had the approval already for her, according to Lyle, and my husband & I are working to refinance so that is the last thing on our minds! It was a back-and-forth with the dealership WAY past closing. I told them we were walking away and asked my husband to call us an uber 4 TIMES! Our broker went back-and-forth with them as well, it was a draining and frustrating experience, but in the end, they apparently finally got it approved. I was so infuriated when it was after 11 PM, my daughter & I were exhausted, and we could see the manager, Domingo, and other gentleman talking & laughing in the office. I'd had enough, so I walked over and Domingo quickly shot out of the office to meet me before I could get to the office. I told him we were done, and we were leaving, and uber was on their way...the manager then joined us and said, "we JUST got approval"! I FELT that was very shady behavior. We did have to give a down payment we weren't expecting but just wanted to get the vehicle and get out of there at this point- we were beyond exhausted so just wanted to close and get to bed! We didn't get home, the very first night in her own place, until after 1AM! We then had to move her in and get the bed set up, etc. After this nightmare, Domingo starts contacting her, wanting more information about her income and employment. We then contact our broker who reaches out to Dick's and finds out that corporate at Hyundai decided that she should not been approved and wants the vehicle back! In all my Vehicle purchases, in all my life, I've never heard of bad business practices such as this! At this point, we are done with Hyundai and plan on leaving appropriate feedback on every platform possible to let others know of our horrid experience! Our daughter will be picking up her new Lexus tomorrow and Hyundai will be picking up their now "used"vehicle today! I mean, seriously, how could she get approved for Lexus but not for Hyundai?! As upset as she was, and I mean upset to the point where she was physically ill, we told her she will NOT be disappointed with Lexus, and we feel it's definitely a step up! How sad it was to go through all this headache only to have Hyundai want their vehicle back. Their loss! Is this what we teach our young, motivated, educated, hard-working adults??? We all have to start somewhere right?! She's employed, has a credit score of over 725... but their hangup was that she had minimal credit history. As I was told by the dealership, "most people come in here with a history of Vehicle or home purchases". I replied, "yeah, most people don't start with a home, they start with a vehicle". We are moving on to bigger and better things, we will be so glad when this is all behind us! By far, worst experience all around! We will never consider buying a Hyundai again, and certainly NOT from Dick's dealership!

Unfortunately, just three days after bringing it home, the check engine light came on. We had the car looked at by our mechanic and were told it needs a new catalytic converter--something that typically fails over time, not overnight. When we contacted the dealership, we were told the vehicle was sold "as-is," which we understand. However, it's very concerning that such a major issue showed up almost immediately after purchase. It raises serious questions about whether this problem existed prior to the sale and whether it should have been disclosed. Overall, this experience has left us feeling misled and disappointed. We expected more transparency, especially after being assured the vehicle had gone through a thorough inspection. Buyers should be cautious and consider having any vehicle independently inspected before purchasing.

Once I identified the problem, I brought it back immediately because this is a major safety concern. I was told the issue had been fixed. However, after being out of the country for two months, I returned to find two flat tires again--clearly, the problem was never properly resolved. The dealership then offered to buy the vehicle back for $33,500. I did not feel this was a fair price given what I originally paid, but I didn't have the time to continue dealing with the situation and felt stuck accepting it. What's even more concerning is that the same vehicle is now listed for $40,000 with the same rims that caused the issue in the first place. Selling a vehicle that cannot reliably hold air in its tires raises serious safety and legal concerns. This experience felt dishonest and careless when it comes to customer safety and resolution. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

We booked an inspection with Midas, but these guys insisted we bring it to THEIR mechanic. Um...no thanks, this isnt my first rodeo. When we were gonna walk away from the deal, they finally caved and let us take it to Midas. Well...I am SO glad we did! Midas found a ton of things wrong with the vehicle that the dealers claimed was in perfect working order. Right off the bat, the battery needed to be replaced immediately. The breaks and rotors needed to be replaced. The computer codes were recently cleared and were not responding! We almost lost 4 grand on it. Never going there for a car, and am recommending to all family ans friends to avoid this place like the plague!

Before shipping, I was told the car was supposed to be delivered with a full tank of gas, but they later informed me the carrier wouldn't take the car with a full tank. They promised to send me money to fill it up once it arrived, but that never happened. On top of that, they quoted me $1,100 for shipping but charged me $1,200. The salesman assured me that: The leather seats had no tears (the passenger rear seat has two). The headlights were not faded (they are completely faded). The wheels were in good shape, but they sent disguised photos hiding the fact that one rim has major deterioration and the chrome is flaking off the other three. Fast-forward to July 22, 2026: The bank that financed my loan has still not received the title. I asked several times for them to send the title directly to me so I could register the vehicle and hand it over to the bank myself, but nothing was done. Now, the temporary tag expired on July 20, 2026, and I can't legally drive the car. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. Their communication and follow-through are completely lackadaisical, with zero sense of urgency.

It says, and I quote, "You will definitely receive one of the big prizes". On the flyer it breaks down your odds because only 1-2 people can win the good ones but the prize everyone else gets is a smart watch. I decide to go down on Friday night, day 4 of the promotion. The first thing the guy tells all of us is that they are out of the watches so there are no prizes, unless you won a major prize (even he said only one of those had been claimed). They only got 400 watches in and had over 500 people show up. So they lured me in under false pretenses and they think I'm still gonna want to buy a car from them??? Incorrect. This is my first impression of the entire dealership, whether these guys work for Dick's or not. The guy then tells me I can come back on Saturday because they MIGHT get more in. Why would I come back and waste my time two days in a row with that kind of answer? This dealership started off our relationship with a lie and that is why I will never do business here. Even if Dick's had no control over the prize inventory, they ultimately let this contest take place on/for their dealership. Why wouldn't they bring enough? Why wouldn't they have some other stand by prize if this happens. The guy said they travel the country doing this so I am sure it's not the first or last time they'll be short. It could be something small like a Nissan key chain but they did nothing to show they valued my time so I will put no value in their dealership. There are much better/more honest dealerships in town that don't have to rely on half-cocked giveaways with out of town salespeople.
