DO NOT buy an extended warranty from these scammers!!! - complete waste of $8,000 I purchased a Toyota Tundra and was talked into paying an extra $8,000 for what they claimed was the absolute best, most comprehensive warranty they offered. I was told it would give me total peace of mind and that virtually anything that went wrong would be covered. They made it sound bulletproof. That could not have been further from the truth. Since buying the truck I have had multiple mechanical issues. Each time I brought it in or contacted them about coverage, I was met with the same result: nothing was covered. Every single claim was denied. They always found a reason, an exclusion, a technicality, or some fine-print excuse. After paying ten thousand dollars specifically for protection, I have received zero coverage. I paid a massive premium for what was sold to me as the top-tier protection plan, only to discover that when I actually needed it, it was worthless. The sales process felt high-pressure and full of assurances. The claims process has been the complete opposite dismissive, full of runaround, and ultimately useless. If you are considering buying a vehicle from this dealership (or wherever these warranties are sold) and they push an expensive extended warranty, walk away. The $8,000 I spent on this so-called "best warranty" would have been far better spent elsewhere -- or simply kept in my pocket. I would strongly urge anyone else to do the same. Called today and was told I need to come in person (I live an hour away). Finally he said he would email me the form. Guess what is not in my email. Call 3 going in tomorrow. Was selling my Ford Bronco Sport online and was contacted by RMT that they would pay me $17,500 for it. I drove over an hour from Salem and had my brother follow me up so I had a ride home thinking we had a sale. Arrived at the dealership and they immediately took my keys and disappeared for an inspection. We sat for an hour in their busy lobby with no updates. When they finally came back they tried to tell of the car couldn't pass emissions testing, which is laughable for a 2021 vehicle with 60k miles and no check engine lights and complete maintenance records. They then tried to tell that they couldn't offer more than $16,000 because it had a small rock chip in the front windshield. I got the distinct feeling that was the number they had in mind all along and they hoped that since I drove so far that I'd just accept the low ball offer. They hoped wrong. I retrieved my keys and drove back home. I would never deal with Royal Moore again. They are shady. read more

Drove 150 miles to see a car that I was told was available, but it hadn't even been detailed yet. Also, I put a wrong date on my check, mailed a replacement check to the street address on their business card several weeks ago, and neither check has been cashed or my original returned. Turns out that it should have gone to a PO Box and the sales staff is trying to find my two checks totaling $14,000... I'm a very irritated customer! read more

First the good news. Do they make it easy to buy a car? Yes, in this industry you have to grade on a curve and they definitely are above average. Are the associates friendly and helpful? Yes. The young woman who assisted me was awesome. Service center? I have been going there for 3 years: great about letting you know when it is due and easy to set appointment. Service? OK. Knowledge? OK. When my app quit working with my car Toyota told me to talk to my service people and when I did they had no idea what I was talking about. But still OK. So why the one star? Unless you do not mind overpaying for a car and unless you really believe the sales pitch you need to read the agreement. There is thousands of dollars of upcharges that will be applied to your invoice and if you do not question it you will be paying for it: coatings that you do not need, window treatments that are worthless (when I leased they tacked over $3500 for those and said I had no choice they "came with the car" (not standard though)). But I did not kill the deal since it was a lease. When I went yesterday to buy out the lease and purchase the car is when they went to full blown deceptive. I was told by the "manager" the cost of the purchase. My lease payout, a handling fee or tax (small) and $1,495 for a "Safety inspection". I questioned why a car I have driven for 3 years and had serviced on time every time would need a costly "inspection" (their 78 point insp that never costs that much in my 15 year history of buying Toyotas). I was told that technically I was buying a "used car" from them and they were required to do it. Fine. But when I was signing the papers that were hurriedly put in front of me (and after a lengthy and definite decline of all "add ons, upcharges and extended warranties") I noticed on the invoice that the "safety inspection" had mysteriously morphed into a "Customer Care Agreement". On the paperwork they had you select and sign something that had 3 levels of care and cost but no option to not sign it and it was not presented as optional. When asked about it afterward when I had time to sit and read through the paperwork the finance associate told me that essentially the $1495 was for the inspection and the care package came with it. Then why was I offered different levels and different price points but no opt out? And bundling a "required service" such as a post lease inspection with a option service such as a maintenance agreement is just a cheap and deceptive way of getting you to sign that agreement. What does the $1495 buy you? Looks like 4 oil changes. $375 a pop. So if you do not mind paying for all of this then I am sure you will have a great experience. If you do mind being upsold things you do not need and not given a choice with deceptive sales practices than beware, push back and be prepared to walk away. It is on me that I signed and let it go. Twice. But the second time was so blatantly deceptive I thought I would give out a shout. I will eat the $1495 and take my maintenance elsewhere as well as my future purchases. read more

My daughter had heard sound coming from her toyota. I drove it and heard clicking noise coming from front passenger side. Thought it could be her brake pads. She said she taking it next day to be serviced at royal where she purchased it. She had it done and they told her did tire rotation and the brake pad measurements. She left and still clicking noise. My friend came and drove it and found fairly good size screw and washer in front passenger tire. I told him about her taking it in there. And he said NO WAY THEY DID ROTATION, THEY WOULD HAVE SEEN SCREW AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IN DIFFERENT PLACE ON CAR WITH ROTATION. so they ripped off money without even doing service. Liars. Last night I sent out a few inquiries. The first phone call I got was from Royal Moore Toyota at 802 am (totally fine, I was excited ).Unfortunately, I didn't catch the sales Reps name. I told him that I had multiple inquiries out, and I didn't know exactly which Toyota he was calling about. He was very annoyed, and rude. Like I was a burden to him. I told him again I didn't know exactly which one I was interested in and that I haven't test drove any of them. Edit: After having my GR Corolla for 2 weeks I went to go get a ppf film installed because I basically already paid for it, the girl who made my appointment named Cassidy I believe made an appointment like any other but the annoying thing was the car I purchased had a repaint done or something and I honestly don't know how they don't have that in their system but I basically drove an hour to my appointment and got a loaner car and left my car there, drive to work which took another 30min and then I get a call saying bad news and they can't do my ppf today because they have to wait a month for the paint to settle in, not only did they waste nearly 3 hours of my life. So what did I do? I drove back which took another 30min to get my car and when I started my vehicle which SHOULDN'T have even been driven the engine oil temp was around 205 and my gas mileage was dropped off at 200, explain how it was dropped to 180 miles in my tank lol. Sketchy service people took my car on a joyride even though they wasted my time and couldn't even do the ppf which was the entire purpose of my appointment. On a side note I'm the person paying to drive my vehicle, I'm not paying for a service team to abuse the fuck out of my car which was clearly shown that day. ****** Update ****** On Friday march 1 2024; I called The dealership using a different phone number and was told the car whom the GSM told me had sold 2 nights prior was in fact still available; to come on down and test drive it. I spoke to Pete I followed up with Toyota's Brand engagement team to update them that I had been lied to, that the vehicle wasn't sold, but still available for purchase. At 7:27pm Monday evening I received a phone call from David Denney the GSM telling me that because I posted negative reviews from my experience, and filed a complaint with Toyota corporate that I am not the "TYPE" of customer they are willing to do business, told me to have a good evening and hung up on me. I'm beyond mind blown that a dealership behaves this poorly, lies, drags customers on, promises deals then doesn't deliver on them. ***************** I opened a query on dec 9th regarding a blizzard pearl Toyota Prius prime; was contemplating this or a Tesla model 3. After watching multiple videos on. YouTube I decided to give the prime the edge over the Tesla; I asked Owen Jones multiple times to provide me #'s on purchase and a lease, when he did the rates were obscene (my credit is 820+) I told him my bank could do better to provide me with rates similar to my banks. I applied for a loan from them and was approved at 5.29% I was ghosted, a few weeks later Owen sent me video showing they still had the car I wanted; so again I asked for information on the car; I used the buy it now /submit offer that Toyota provides. with 5k down; and the payments I wanted (via the Toyota offer submission tool) I was ghosted again. I was then handed to Taylor, who put me in touch with Nicholas Larson; Nicholas is the customer experience manager & basically yelled at me, told me Toyota's website lies, provides false information the #'s aren't accurate and that's not their fault its toyota corporate. he deferred me to Taylor who gave me #'s which were $80 month higher than the Toyota's submittal tool. I questioned this and explained it makes no sense, my sales tax wouldn't be that much to equate to the extra 80$ Again I pointed out Toyota's website said one thing, their pice was far higher at $426eventually they deleted some items got the payment to one I agreed on which was close to the price Toyota's website stated in the offer. The agreed on price was $389.21 33 month w/ 5k down they asked me to fill out a credit app, I did, thus running my credit again which will be a second hit on my credit (lowering my overall score). They told me the deal would be done that day and they would have a driver deliver it the next morning. I waited all evening, but never got any information that my deal was done. so obviously I was put on the side burner (not ghosted this time); The next morning I hear the payment has changed and I needed to fill out some information for being a military (not sure where they got this info) So the deal yesterday was 398.21 now this morning its changed albeit just a few cents, but that's not the point. it changed again from $398.21 to $398.39. I was then told the deal would be finished later that afternoon and then they could arrange to have the car delivered. I was really annoyed as the deal was supposed to be done the day prior and the car delivered "this day* And since the payment changed again. =============================================================== I said the following: Hey Taylor, I appreciate you picking up the ball; You've been great and this is no reflection on you. That said, I've been trying to buy this car for 81 days now; I originally reached out on December 9th, Owen blew me off 2 separate times; never go the the info I needed. I have been blown off, put on the side-burner multiple times. The deal was supposed to be finalized yesterday and I was expecting the car to be delivered this morning and obviously that wont happen. Apparently my application didn't come through correctly now, it just seems so many setbacks and delay; Now the payment is going to be higher, (Even by a few cents) etc.. I'm going to just pass and buy a Tesla instead. Thanks for being the best person I've had do deal with there. =============================================================== Then I received a call from David Denney the GSM apologizing for the bad experience. I told him all the above; (I was really annoyed w/ the whole experience) =============================================================== not long after that call, Taylor sent a text via their dealer text system saying: Thank you! Why couldn't the form be emailed the first time with the information to wait to return it with the lien release if that is what is needed?? Rountine service on 2023 Rav 4 Hybrid. Husband told everything fine only to see paperwork later that air conditioner filter failed. Called. Apologies. Told not dangerous. Totally didn't get the issue was not the filter but the abysmal customer service. Last year removed a mouse nest from heater box but did no further inspection for a dead mouse. Of course after multiple trips back there and a god awful smell was I able to convince them to look for a dead mouse. It took months for the smell to go away even after "sanitizing " the system.
