After a full month of car shopping (I'm definitely the type who researches everything before making…read morea big purchase), I landed on the perfect vehicle--a Hyundai Tucson Limited--from Dick's Hillsboro Hyundai, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. My salesman, Evan Miller, was outstanding from start to finish. There was absolutely no pressure at any point. We stayed in touch over the entire month while I worked through my options, and he was patient, responsive, and incredibly accommodating--even when I know I wasn't the easiest customer. He stuck with it until we found exactly what I wanted. With the help of Sales Manager Jacob Inukai, they not only secured the specific vehicle I was after, but actually exceeded my expectations. On top of that, they worked with me to get the deal exactly where I needed it to be. (Side note: there are a couple of fellow Army grunts working there as well--if you know, you know.) I also want to give a shoutout to Dave in Finance--he made that part of the process genuinely enjoyable, which is not something you hear often. Let's be honest--car salespeople don't always have the best reputation, and sometimes that's earned. I'm also at the stage in life where I have zero patience for pushy, high-pressure tactics. That's exactly what I didn't experience here. The entire team was straightforward, easy to work with, and focused on making sure I left satisfied. I can't say enough good things about this group. If you're looking for a dealership that treats you right and works with you--not against you--this is it. Thanks again to everyone at Dick's Hillsboro Hyundai--I'll definitely be back. Jeff B

Beware the "Diamond Ceramic Appearance Protection", all the little lies, and the dropped balls…read moreregarding registration paperwork - especially if you're WA state. The key TL;DR is that "Diamond Ceramic Protection" is an extended warranty being presented as a physical, material coating on the car, which makes quite a difference in whether the customer understands that it's an optional upsell. There is a window decal that says "Protected by Ceramic Coating". This is a flat-out lie and I would hope illegal. Things I was told, in order of telling by sales rep Domingo Castro, manager Lyle Schirm, and finance guy Dillon Schmidt, that did not age well: "The internet price is already our best price, because if we didn't offer our best price there, no one would come buy cars." "I'm already losing ~$700 on this car." "I'm not the numbers guy, I don't know what we paid for it." "The diamond ceramic protection is sprayed on, it's like Scotch Guard." "We can replace the car, but we can't replace you, the customer, so I'm giving you this offer". "I know the contract in front of you says the Diamond Ceramic Appearance Protection warranty is optional and you previously told us to remove it from the quote, but you already signed the agreement to buy the car at this price... (dramatic pause)" "I can take off the extended warranty, but I'm going to have to take away $340 of your negotiated discount because you're cutting into my profit margin on this car." "Why would you want to use your own license plates? They only cost $10-$15 to replace. No, I don't know what the rules are in Washington." (In WA they'll charge you $100 for new plates when registering an out-of-state car.) For Washington buyers, Dick's Hyundai apparently sends all registration paperwork to a licensing office just across the border. But the reps don't know that WA handles this using private offices rather than a single state office, so to them your question of where they sent your paperwork doesn't even make sense. They'll just say they sent it to Washington, and you'll get to spend hours sorting it out if anything wasn't done correctly or if you want to use your own plates. A WA licensing office cannot deposit a check that's an over-payment, they need a new check in the exact amount. Dick's charges a $50 non-optional "electronic document processing fee", in addition to the state-standard $200 registration processing fee. My fellow humans, it doesn't have to be like this. If you're looking for a place to buy a car, keep looking.

Unfortunately, just three days after bringing it home, the check engine light came on. We had the car looked at by our mechanic and were told it needs a new catalytic converter--something that typically fails over time, not overnight. When we contacted the dealership, we were told the vehicle was sold "as-is," which we understand. However, it's very concerning that such a major issue showed up almost immediately after purchase. It raises serious questions about whether this problem existed prior to the sale and whether it should have been disclosed. Overall, this experience has left us feeling misled and disappointed. We expected more transparency, especially after being assured the vehicle had gone through a thorough inspection. Buyers should be cautious and consider having any vehicle independently inspected before purchasing.

Once I identified the problem, I brought it back immediately because this is a major safety concern. I was told the issue had been fixed. However, after being out of the country for two months, I returned to find two flat tires again--clearly, the problem was never properly resolved. The dealership then offered to buy the vehicle back for $33,500. I did not feel this was a fair price given what I originally paid, but I didn't have the time to continue dealing with the situation and felt stuck accepting it. What's even more concerning is that the same vehicle is now listed for $40,000 with the same rims that caused the issue in the first place. Selling a vehicle that cannot reliably hold air in its tires raises serious safety and legal concerns. This experience felt dishonest and careless when it comes to customer safety and resolution. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

I feel that this dealership was repeatedly dishonest with me during and after the purchase of my vehicle. During the sale, the person handling the paperwork raised their voice at me several times while I was reviewing documents, which felt like an attempt to rush me into signing without a full review. Afterwards, he pressured me to write a review at the desk with him present. After the purchase, my mechanic found the car needed over $1,000 in repairs. In addition, several fluids were low, and both the engine and cabin air filters needed to be replaced. None of this was disclosed at the time of sale. Regarding the Nissan Altima mentioned above -- that was my former vehicle, which I traded in for a $200 discount. The dealership explicitly told me it was going to the junkyard. That was the only reason I agreed to part with it for so little. Based on a mechanic's inspection that can be seen on the vehicle's CARFAX, I believe the junkyard is the best place for this vehicle: it had a split CV axle and extensive power steering issues, with repairs estimated around $10,000.

About a week after I had purchased this car the check engine light came on and I took it to a mechanic. The mechanic had a long list of things wrong with my car, he had said his reader pulled up 30 codes, something that had never happened before. The most concerning part of this for me is that the air bags had been tampered with, the mechanic said it was likely a salvaged title, and the car is unsafe to drive. I was not informed of any accidents. The car is still running but makes very strange sounds, and I do not drive it more than 15 miles at a time, and I feel very trapped by these circumstances. As a single mom I cannot afford to get another car loan. Although they claim to sell the vehicles as is and are unwilling to make returns, after many conversations and threats to pursue legal action, they were willing to take the car back, but asked me to pay DMV fees and mileage, to which I declined as I had already paid DMV fees and am unwilling to pay mileage. It is very concerning to me that so many people have come out with similar experiences to mine in such a small amount of time. I have spoken with a lawyer, filed a consumer complaint and I am prepared to proceed forward with legal action. If anyone that has fallen victim to this business would like to work together for justice, please reach out.

It says, and I quote, "You will definitely receive one of the big prizes". On the flyer it breaks down your odds because only 1-2 people can win the good ones but the prize everyone else gets is a smart watch. I decide to go down on Friday night, day 4 of the promotion. The first thing the guy tells all of us is that they are out of the watches so there are no prizes, unless you won a major prize (even he said only one of those had been claimed). They only got 400 watches in and had over 500 people show up. So they lured me in under false pretenses and they think I'm still gonna want to buy a car from them??? Incorrect. This is my first impression of the entire dealership, whether these guys work for Dick's or not. The guy then tells me I can come back on Saturday because they MIGHT get more in. Why would I come back and waste my time two days in a row with that kind of answer? This dealership started off our relationship with a lie and that is why I will never do business here. Even if Dick's had no control over the prize inventory, they ultimately let this contest take place on/for their dealership. Why wouldn't they bring enough? Why wouldn't they have some other stand by prize if this happens. The guy said they travel the country doing this so I am sure it's not the first or last time they'll be short. It could be something small like a Nissan key chain but they did nothing to show they valued my time so I will put no value in their dealership. There are much better/more honest dealerships in town that don't have to rely on half-cocked giveaways with out of town salespeople.

I truly felt like royalty, the treatment was so top-tier I don't think I will ever step inside of another companies dealerships again to purchase any vehicle. My salesmen, Christian (Royal Moore Mazda), was the kindest, goofiest and most enjoyable person I could ever have to help me with my journey of purchasing a car. He was so knowledgeable and created such a huge impact on me while creating a bond of friendship and trust as well. I could tell that he wanted what was best for ME whether that meant purchasing a car from him or anywhere else, the support he gave towards my decisions did not go unnoticed and I appreciate him wholeheartedly for that! If you want a caring and thoughtful car salesman who doesn't pressure you at all, then Christian is your guy! Like please please buy a car from Christian, you will not regret it! We laughed literally all day together and it was the most wholesome experience I've had at any dealership ever. Truly someone I am so excited to come back and visit at Royal Moore when I come in for future service needs on my vehicle... Or whenever I feel like wanting to brighten my day :) Omid, ohhhh Omid, what an amazing GSM (Royal Moore Mazda).. he truly helped me get the best deals available through the dealership on my new vehicle. He knew how absolutely in love I was with the 2026 Acadia and did everything in his power to make sure I left the dealership that same day in my new wheels. Also making sure I did not feel overwhelmed by my new monthly payments. I love that he could laugh at the absolute nonsense I spew out of my mouth sometimes. He was a true pleasure to work with and really does an amazing job with representing the company. Finance is such a scary part of purchasing a new car but Nathan (Royal Moore Mazda) really did a great job of rewiring how I feel about finance managers. After a terrifying previous encounter with another dealerships finance manager... Nathan, my mom and me had the literal BEST TIME cracking the absolute funniest jokes together.. I could not have asked for a better experience to replace the bad memories someone else created for me. Thank you so much Nathan, you truly made the day even more special. Also for the record, NATHAN SAID. Last but absolutely not least, if it wasn't for David, the general sales manager over at Royal Moore Toyota, I wouldn't have had this opportunity to purchase a brand new car at all. He truly went so far out of his way for me, to help me when I was being wronged by another company, to guide me on what to do and the steps to take to protect me as a consumer after being sold a vehicle with undisclosed major accident damage. With his help and a miracle I was able to climb my way out of a fraudulent bad deal with another dealership. He then referred me over to the awesome employees at Royal Moore Mazda where I purchased my beautiful brand new 2026 GMC Acadia Elevation Black Edition. THANK YOU to everyone who helped me along this journey. I am loyal to the Royal from here on out. The only Company I will give my business to from this point forward!
