I had a large asphalt driveway that needed to be replaced. It is wide, steep, and had invasive bamboo sprouting from cracks. It was a mess. To make matters worse, it is highly visible from the street. In addition, parts of the pad at the top were inclined toward the garage, allowing water to seep in when it rained. We contacted Pacific Outdoor Living for a quote. Once we signed the contract, they gave us an anticipated start date and end date. To my surprise, they met both commitments and completed the project within the estimated cost. In addition, they worked with the city to obtain necessary permits and inspections. I was astounded by their conscientious workers and their skill in solving problems as they invariably arise in a project. I would not hesitate to recommend Pacific Pavingstone. They removed my old concrete driveway (a couple of truckloads) and had the whole thing installed in under 4 days. A demolition crew came, then a crew to lay sand and gravel and then a paving team. It was a big job too. around 1800 sq feet of paving with a slope to the drain and a small pathway. Extremely professional. On time, did what I asked and sprinklers were removed, capped and adjusted. I don't think I will ever need paving again, but if I did, I wouldn't bother with any quotes, I would just go straight back. He knew how to explain the process of the project(Since I am not the expert of remodeling stuff), which product to recommend(My budget was pretty tight but he was able to find the good product to fit my budget. And when meeting with the project manager he suggested alternatives to our pathway/house lighting and several times went over a few drainage options to make sure that we didn't have a standing water issue up near the garage. We had our driveway designed and completed by Pacific paving stone about 10 years ago. We had to have Pacific pavingstone out once to take up the pavers that the gate rides on and just recently to repair the place in the driveway where the plumbers removed the pavers. Emilio came out on time and worked tirelessly to re-install the pavers, cleaned the entire driveway and was the most professional trade person we have had do work for us in years. I spoke with Noah today regarding a retaining wall. According to her they do not do retaining wall without landscaping. They have a minimum of $7,500, and their landscaping costs about $20K to $30K not including the retaining wall. Given the price I said that does not seem to be a price for residential homes rather than commercial. She said no, we do residential homes. I then said you wouldn't mind providing references. Noah said we do not provide references. You can go to our website and look at pictures of our work. I have never heard of such shady approach. My wife and I were looking to redo our patio floor and we found Pacific Pavingstone online. We met with them, and arranged for one of their representatives/designers, Ken Avner to visit our home and let us know what he would recommend and the approximate cost. Ken was right on time and took a good look at the patio, made several detailed measurements, then discussed with us certain features of our patio and the paving stone that we had selected. We talked about drainage and time and cost. His rough time and cost estimates proved very accurate, and he got back to us quickly with a firm bid, which we accepted. Ken then brought a foreman named Onecimo out to see the site and we talked about when the work would be done, the time of day, the noise, etc. The work was then scheduled and commenced and proceeded as scheduled. The entire crew was very efficient and hardworking, and we were very pleased with the end result. It rained pretty hard recently, and the drainage was fine, which was very important to us, as otherwise, a hard rain could flood our home. Had an above average experience. For starters the project was finished so fast. I feel like when it comes to any kind of construction project I just expect the project to go way over schedule, this was not the case. The only problem I had was not being able to decide which styles to go with which took me some time to decide but after I knew what I wanted the designer was accommodating and flexible. I was told the back patio would be done in 7 days and it was. That was just one cool thing about it. The crew was super nice. There was no mess afterwards. Or while they were working on the pavers which has bugged me with other companies in the past. Pavers look great, they match the house. We built a new pool this summer and putting in 850sq ft of hardscape plus drains around the pool was daunting to us. We didn't really know where to start, how much it would cost, or how it would be done. A friend recommended Pacific Pavingstone and they sent out a rep right away for a consultation. Ken walked us through the whole process while really taking the time to explain how every detail of the actual process would work. He also had great suggestions to help us work with our (diminishing) budget. I had the 5 Star Fortune of working with Ken, the very Knowledgeable and Professional Representative at Pacific Paving Stone (pacificpavingstone.com); a licensed contractor company. Ken with a professional booklet explaining all facets of Interlocking Pavers and benefits verses standard concrete. The credentials of this company are impressive and reassuring with regards to Credentials earned via Local and National Associations and Quality Assurance Certifications and Knowledge of Soil Conditions with Soils Evaluation taking place before and during the excavation process. Ken gave me a fair priced estimate for an extra large driveway with Front RV access on the installation of Interlocking Paver Stones. My concrete driveway was severely cracked and lifting up and simply put, a big eyesore in appearance with bumpy functionality. I booked the 3 day job which initially involved several people and their own dump truck.The Demo was concise, neat and clean (with complete clean up). The next business day involved several workers on a prototype assembly-line with an ice-skating choreographed flow to it on the installation of the interlocking pavers (guaranteed for 3 years, but will last for decades). They had several left over pavers as well. They installed a deep footing acting as a barrier as we have a large shade tree with some minimally-evasive tree roots. The last day involved spraying and applying a Water Base Natural Sealer that enhanced the appearance and serves to protect the surface by sealing the porousness. Pavers are easily replaced as needed verses concrete requiring resurfacing (at the very minimum) if damage was to take place. Photos were provided during various stages of the short and smooth project. I would highly recommend Ken at Pacifc Paving Stone for your Driveway or Patio Hardscape needs.
