I understand we pay plumbers to do a dirty job at crazy hours but this place is the worst. they charged $500 to replace a valve that they installed and justified it by saying we need at least 2 people of every job which is such a racket to increase billing and had the nerve to tell us we should've charged you more because it had water in it. I would never downplay a tradesman's job but this is just greed at it's worst. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE WITHOUT MULTIPLE ESTIMATES AND LOOK OVER THE DETAIL BECAUSE THEY ARE THE WORST OF THE WORST. These are the people that give plumbers and tradesmen bad names. they used the fact that we're a commercial company and run the contract thru prologis to gouge their customers to death. Explained the urgency to have our gas back, they had a Forman call me and schedule something ASAP. The foreman Gustavo was professional, prompt and understanding of our situation. He and his crew did a great job on the fixtures/repairs. They provided a quote and everything was done by a licensed contractor, PG&E certified contractor and with county permits. They came out with two guys to unclog a blockage which was affecting the plumbing in the entire house. They decided to stick a snake through to clean out to the main. The snake wouldn't go all the way through. They suggested a hydro-jet for $500 or a camera for $200 to see what the blockage was. Having a lack of knowledge in plumbing we went with the camera. They came the next day, used the camera, saw nothing and decided the pipes must be broken. What's the solution?? Let's dig up the pipes from the clean out to the main line for $2000! Ummm-no... This is a blockage not a construction project. On that note, we dismissed them and called Drain Doctor. What happened next?? Well let's just say Drain Doctor in Santa Clara solved the problem with A SNAKE, ONE GUY and only took about an hour and a half! On top of that, the experienced plumber (10 years) from Drain Doctor informed us that you wouldn't see anything in a blocked pipe because it's blocked!! read more

Called Pacific Plumbing for a small gas leak repair. Technician was dispatched in just a couple of hours after placing my call. The Technician observed the Covid 19 protocols. The assigned Technician was Carlos. He arrived precisely at the time that was stated to me. Carlos was knowledgeable, professional, polite and genuinely a very nice person. The cost to correct and repair was less than I had expected it to be. Notwithstanding the repair cost, I was more impressed by the company and it's employee. If I would have given less than one star, I would have. We have been a customer of Pacific Plumbing since they opened their doors - as a matter of fact we were the second customer. We have always used Pacific Plumbing, and even recommended them to our friends, listed them as a resource to our community, and to our property management firm. How unfortunate to discover that in the last few years, this company has gone from customer service to "lets just make a buck no matter what". We had to call them out to repair a leak to our water heater and it was discovered by the technician that the previous technician who came out only a few months before failed to wrap the pipe in teflon tape. It was this error that caused our current problem. But instead on fixing this for at least a reduced fee, we were instead charged 2 full hours with 2 technicians -- even though only one technician came out and it only took 1 hour to fix their mistake. Needless to say we were outraged when we received a bill in the amount of $449 to fix a leak that they had caused. Further disturbing is the fact that when we told them about their mistake, and that we would cease using them as a plumbing resource, they said and I quote "we don't care". I wish I can give them 0 stars. Pacific Plumbing came to our house and attached our volume controls and thermostatic mixer as well as the bathroom toilet and kitchen faucet. It took them more than two tries to put the volume controls straight. (There were gaps on the top or bottom, or on the right or left, even with the rubber washer/gasket.). Then they overtightened and cracked the tile. Had to get a tile man to replace our newly installed tile. They did not put the Hansgrohe logo at the 12 o'clock position for the thermostatic mixer. The volume control knobs were upside down. It took them few tries to fix them and I finally got them fixed today. They did not even ask for a preferred temperature to set for the thermostatic valve. The safety button to prevent scalding was not installed properly and the safety was not working at all. It wasn't until today that they finally set the temperatures but since they left without briefing me what they did, I can only assume they used a thermometer and set the temperature correctly. I wasn't even there at the jobsite all the time when the plumbers were working and my general contractor is the one who called them but for whatever reason, I got a invoice in my mailbox...yes, when the job has not been completed yet! (and it should go to the general contractor) It is today that they finally seemed to have finished installing things properly although I haven't had a chance to check out everything yet. I was only able to check visibly as I didn't even know that they had already left by the time I got there. 1)The invoice needs to go to Salas Construction as they used Pacific Plumbing for a job they were initially supposed to do. I should be paying Salas Construction and Pacific Plumbing should be paid through Salas Construction. I didn't call Pacific Plumbing and it's Salas Construction dealing with them. 2) The toilet was not connected properly. I bought one of those toilet with wireless remote, etc..(so not your typical toilet here in the U.S.) . The wire was just hanging outside the toilet, the battery compartment was not installed, the toiled seat was not aligned properly. The brand new toilet cover lid is all scratched up. 3) $400 for a drill bit? Where is the drill bit? If they are charging us, should they leave that behind on site? 4) Pacific Plumbing is charging per hours for a job they should not be charging. They sent plumbers who couldn't follow simple instructions and couldn't install things properly(thermostatic shower system, toilet, etc). Hence it took several more trips/people for Pacific Plumbing to fix the incorrect installation. ..and I'm being charged for that? I am really curious to ask the California License Board for the way they run business. They have delayed the remodeling project big time. They billed me before even finishing the project. Even worse, it said they will charge me extra $$$ if I dont pay by due date (July 2nd) when I got the mail on July 5th! I'll be writing a review for my general contractor and he is the one who called and got this plumber. If it was me, I would have checked Yelp first, for sure! I saw that some other reviewer put a link to the complaint board...I totally agree with that reviewer. I hope I get a copy of a revised invoice as the original invoice should go to Salas Construction, AND I would like to believe they sent that invoice incorrectly to me prematurely. I guess I'll find out very soon!!! P.S. Oh, by the way, they lost the instruction for the thermostatic mixer! They also installed the shower valve through an opening of the tile and...they just put the cover plate to cover the hole! I can see lights coming through from the drywall from the next room. I have a bath tub and toilet water back up. PP came and clear it and charged me $150. The same problem came back next day PP came back but I saw that PP only run the sewer snake (1/2 inch snake with NO cutter) about 50 ft on the roof water drain but came back next day again. I informed all of these info. to Karen Chambers at PP by email. Call PP again next day (SAT 5/16/2020). I they said that PP will charge $225 for the camera and fix this problems again. As soon as PP came they want to perform the sewer snake again without camera "Ray said the camera will be $450 more". It is unacceptable; therefore I call Elite Rooter to clean my problem. I will work with Karen C. Monday 5/18/2020 to get my $150 back because I do not fix my problem. NEVER CALL PP because you will be sorry. I do not have any call back from Pacific Plumbing about the refund for the job that never complete. Uh-oh..it was time to call the plumber..up late, running the washer, next thing you know it, toilet is over-flowing, whole hall way was wet. I was actually referred to Pacific Plumbing, reached out to them and they dispatched a tech and he arrived in a timely manner. That right there was already a relief for me, he was able to snake, I requested for a camera to be ran from all of my drains just for my own comfort. The tech was very informative and provided lots of preventive maintenance tips, really spent his time, did not try and over sell me on any products or unnecessary services. I was made AWARE of what else they can offer but not forced or felt my back was against a wall. All in all the job was done, the remainder of the hallway mess was working with a restoration company. The workers were polite but the communication was not very clear. They took 4 hours repairing a leak in the ground. Although they needed to dig 1.5 feet to repair a 1"pvc pipe, it doesn't justify the repair cost of $953.00 dollars. I'm outrageous about the cost considering it's a pipe leak, even if the explanation given by the owner was that it's a Saturday. Think twice before giving them a call! read more

We needed an emergency 2" domestic water line repaired in Hayward. Our regular service company was unable to respond with 48 hours on site, so we called Joe to see if we could get some help. He had a team there within two hours ready to rock and roll. Lamberto was the crew lead and immediately gave the open option of being able to start immediately hand digging once asphalt removed or waiting for the utilities to be marked if we preferred. I somewhat knew the layout of the parking area utilities and only had one gas line to be careful of, so I called my office and got our PM's approval to start without delay. Within two hours, they had found not only the line but the breach without waiting for any locators which to me shows exceptional skill on task for traditional plumbing. By 4pm same day the building was restored, lines flushed and trench safely back filled and covered to await paving repair. I arrived home from a week long business trip to a house without hot water. I called on Friday afternoon, and Jose came out within 2 hours. He quoted me an all-in price of $2900 for the water heater and I assumed he was trying to rip me off. Then he explained that I have a 75 gallon power vent water heater and invited me to shop around and call him if I change my mind. No charge for the inspection and advice. I called Home Depot, who don't carry this type of heater. Then I called Lowe's. Their model was $3,150 plus tax, installation and old tank removal, $3,800. Oh, and it would take 2 weeks to order the replacement. I called Affordable Water Heaters and Plumbing, who wanted to charge $4,990. Water Heaters Only would only say the cost would be between $3000-$3600, depending upon the installation expense and cost of new code compliance rules. They could install it on Tuesday. I called Joe back. He said that he could get the new water heater Monday morning and have it installed Monday afternoon. He was also very flexible to work with my insurance company, because he wasn't on their list of plumbers in my area. All in all, I'm satisfied with Pacific Plumbing for being reliable, friendly and responsive. I'd recommend them to any of my friends. read more

Please do yourself a favor and stay away from these guys. I wish I would have read the reviews posted here before I had them over but glad I checked before I went any further. We had Pacific out to clear a blocked sewer - entire house was backed up. They snaked it then it was fine. A month later it backed up again so we had the city out this time thinking that our side was clear from the work that Pacific did. The city said it was our side again. We called Pacific again thinking it must be something major on our side if it backed up again so quickly. They suggested a technician with a camera should come out and video our entire system to identify exactly where the problem is. They described this service to include a video on DVD that we could watch that would clearly show the problem, an explanation from the technician and some kind of identification at ground level where we could find the problem if we needed to dig it up. This service cost $250.00. They came out and did the job. I wasn't able to be home for the work so my neighbor stood in for me. He relayed what they told him, I saw the flag where they marked the problem's location and the technician explained to me over the phone what he found. It sounded pretty straight forward and I figured when I watched the video that would show me (as the tech explained) exactly what the problem was. He said the pipe would have to be dug up as it was dislodged from another pipe. He said he would have someone from the office call me to set up the next step including an estimate of the work. I got home and watched the 6 minute video which was 75% under water and therefore useless to me. You can't see any pipe problems under water. In fact I couldn't see ANYTHING under water. I thought the guy would snake the drain and clear it before he spent $250.00 of my money creating a useless video for me. So I figured, no big deal, I will simply let the company know what happened and have the technician explain to me over the phone or maybe drop by for 10 minutes to explain to me what is shown on the video. Maybe it takes the trained eye of a plumbing video technician to ID the problem - I'm a patient guy. I call 3 times to explain what is happening. Twice the dispatcher apologizes for not responding to me and tells me the technician will call me right away and all three times I did not receive a call. In the meantime, my sewer is completely backed up and I have not even received a call about the "next step and quote". If you are having similar problems with them and they are not responding I suggest you do as I am doing and lodge a complaint with the California department of consumer affairs. Awesome! Willing to go where no other plumber will go! For cheap! This was the THIRD drain unstopping company that came out. I live in a manufactured home, and there is no master drain cleanout (I'm going to install one). First, I called EJ Plumbing. They came out, and wouldn't even TRY to unstop my drains unless I hired them to put in a master clean out -- for $695! I then called RotoRooter, and they again wouldn't touch the job unless i paid them, get this: $995 [What are they smoking over there at Roto?] So, on the third try I lucked into Pacific Plumbing, and the really nice guy they sent was on time, in a clean truck, and went right to work. Voila! Yippee! In no less than 30 minutes, he'd figured out how to undo a pipe to get into my system, had snaked the pipes, and courteously handed me a bill for only $135. (He also politely suggested that at some point in the future might want to install a master cleanout, which he quoted at $425 - by far the lowest estimate of the three.) The BEST! read more

I had hired Pacific Plumbing about a year and a half ago to install a Rinnai tankless water heater, and overall they did a pretty good job, though they were using some PEX pipes as opposed to traditional copper. I didn't really have a problem with that, and everything was fine, until this last Christmas eve. I awoke to find a steady stream of water coming from my garage ceiling and water all over the garage (luckily it was only in the garage). We tried to call Pacific Plumbing twice, but no answer (I get it, it was Christmas eve). Finally, we were able to get another company to come out and fix it, for $1,800 . . . ouch! Just to replace one pipe. We finally got ahold of Pacific Plumbing and Tim came out, and basically said it was a fitting between the PEX and copper that failed, and said we'd have to apply for reimbursement from the fitting manufacturer. Huh? Don't they stand behind their work? It's like a contractor building a house for you and then when the wall falls down, says you need to seek reimbursement from the nail manufacturer. I didn't even ask for a full refund from them. I only suggested we work out some reasonable amount and/or a little bit of pro bono work would be fine, but . . . nothing. I get it, it's tough to run a small business, but at least stand behind your work. If they can't do that, I can't stand behind recommending them. read more

I called Pacific Plumbing to have some work done under my kitchen sink, which is leaking. I was told that the plumber would be here between noon and 2. At 2:15 I called, and they said they'd find out when the plumber would be here, and would call me back. About 20 minutes later, still no word, so I called and canceled the service. The young woman on the phone seemed very bored, and completely unconcerned about my canceling the service. No apology for being late. If you want a plumber, I suggest calling someone else. read more

But they kept us on the list and the next day when they had a cancellation they came to do the repair. I am so grateful to Carlos for his great work installing my reverse osmosis kitchen sink water filter and to Pacific Plumbing for the way they do business. First off, the kit I bought online was missing a piece and Carlos hunted down the right part at my local hardware store and did it all so fast he was still able to complete all the required steps to do a proper installation in that one appointment. And second, I had a bit of trouble finding a plumbing business which would give me a clear estimate over the phone, work by the hour, and not charge me a flat "consultation fee" just for walking through the door. When I called Pacific Plumbing I was immediately connected to a person who talked out parameters of the job with me, gave me a clear estimate, including contingencies, and scheduled the appointment to come and do the work only a few days from then. Called PP because our Tub faucet would not stop leaking. They came out gave me a quote and had it fixed with in a couple of hours. The guy was very professional and clean. He had to replace the tub fixture and gave me the option to go buy my own or he had some available in his truck. It was just easier for me to have him use what he had- it was nice enough for our kids bathroom- we did not need anything fancy. My kitchen sink was leaking pretty bad one day, I called into Pacific Plumbing and spoke to Jane who was very friendly and wanted to get me a technician out immediately to help me out so as not to have a flood under my sink. The technician arrived within 30 minutes (Ray) and he looked under my sink and said I needed to have it re piped. When he was finished there was no leak whatsoever. Will never use them again. I had a serious pipe break in my house. I called at 9:50PM and their message service company answered and took a message. They never called back so I called again at 8:30 the next morning. The person told me they had someone available and he would be heading over. I explained the details of the issue and she said she would be sure to relay the details to the plumber. At 10:45 I called again as they had not arrived. I was told he was running late but would be there between noon and 2. At 2 I called again and was told he was still stuck but would be at my house by 4. At 4 I called again and, while she apologized profusely, she assured me he would be at my house by 5:30 and I reconfirmed he understood the details. At 5:45 I called again and got their message service. Finally, at 6:15 he showed up. He walked in, looked at the broken pipe and said, "I don't have any material for this so we'll have to reschedule for tomorrow". I kicked him out of my house and will never call them again. Horrible service.. cost me an entire day of work and now my family will be without a bathroom for 2 full days. read more
