I need to share this experience with $15 Sewer & Drain. We have used this company for many years to service our apartment building & our rental homes. Over the years we probably have paid them more than $10,000 in various jobs. On 8/12/26 I called for an appointment. I told the scheduler that the contact for the job would be my 62 year old brother & that I would not be able to take a call during the assigned 3:00pm-5:00pm window schedule. I also said closer to 4 would be best so that the tenant would be home...I gave her the correct name & number & she confirmed the instructions. At 3:10 I got a call & 2 texts messages from the technician. I had to leave the room to call my brother (to tell him that the tech was on site & then I texted the plumber to call my brother). The guy they sent Angel, he was unable to remove the nut on the P trap. My brother told me that he had to tell Angel that "your turning it the wrong way! It's righty tighty lefty loosie. Our father is an 86 year old retired union plumber & took me & my brother to work with him all the time but, it is not rocket science to take off a P trap. My brother then told Angel "you are holding the channel locks backwards & that's why you can not get leverage." Once the p trap was removed my brother asked if Angel would try to clear the drain with a less powerful snake because the one he wanted to use could damage the plumbing (the building was built in 1960). Angel did not want to listen so they called into the dispatch & decided to stop and ask for another technician. The company rep told my brother to pay Angel $15 for the service call & my brother said no. When I got home I called in & I was told that we would be taken to collection for $15! So, I said I will bring a check to the office tomorrow at 10 AM. I was there a 9:45 & paid them & asked to speak to a supervisor. Sergio called me. I have known Sergio for years & when I told him what happened he said he would make good on it (I told him I already paid the $15 and did not appreciate the 3 emails to pay immediately. Sergio told me on Thur that he would schedule a tech to go unplug the sink. As the day came to an end, it still was not done. On Friday, I called & texted Sergio & he said he was in the office and would get somebody out there...never heard from them again and it's now noon on Sat. The tenant is still waiting so we are going to use another company. I have had a few other bad experiences with $15 but, I never complained or even wrote a review before but this is beyond belief. I recently had an unbelievably horrible experience with Fifteen Dollar Sewer Service! I called them on Saturday to unclog a wash tub in our garage. We waited the 2 hour window. The plumber took nearly an hour jamming a hose down the drain, very roughly. I kept thinking that he was going to break the tub. He got the tub drain unclogged and left. I immediately started a load of laundry, and was surprised to see water spraying all over the floor! It turned out there now was a crack in the bottom of our wash tub after the plumber had worked on it. So I called Fifteen Dollar Sewer to let them know what happened. I was told that I needed to wait for another plumber to come and inspect it and take pictures. We waited the two hour window. A plumber came from Redwood City, agreed as to what happened with the last plumber cracking the tub and told us that at replacement tub would happen that night or the next morning. We would be called with the arrangements. No call, the next day, Sunday at 11:30 am I called an asked what was happening and was told that a plumber needed to come out and inspect the tub. I explained that that already happened and then she apologized and told me that the replacement tub would be that day, Sunday, between 1:30 and 3:30. So we stayed home Sunday afternoon waiting again on the plumber. When no plumber showed up at 5:00 pm, I called again and was told that oh looks like a plumber needs to come out and inspect the tub! I again explained we already have been down that road, and then they said oh yes, sorry looks like the plumber is out on an emergency. We promise to install the new tub tomorrow, Monday at 9:30 - 11:30. 10:30 Monday, Sergio the supervisor shows up. And can you believe not prepared to install the tub, he doesn't even know what sink is the issue. He is there to inspect the situation! When I begin to complain, he tells me not to give him any attitude or he will just walk away and not help me at all. The most unprofessional "supervisor" I have ever encountered. Finally after listening to our whole ordeal, Sergio gives me "his word" that he will replace our cracked tub, and as a sorry we messed up so bad, we will even fix the piping underneath to make future clean outs easier. This will be done tomorrow Tuesday 9:00- 11:00. "You have my word, I make the schedules, I make the decisions on these things..." Tuesday, 10:00, we are again waiting for the plumber, arranging our whole schedules to be home, and we get a voice mail saying that, "no, we are looking at before and after pictures, and we decided we did not crack your tub. We will not replace it." When I called to asked to talk to Sergio, not surprising, he is unavailable to talk to. I was told the before and after pictures show that our sink had scratches in it? What does that have to do with the plumber cracking our sink? How would we crack the sink in the minute the plumber left and me starting a load of laundry? Why would someone make that up? I had a very disappointing experience with $15 Sewer and Drain. After installing a new washer, our hot water stopped working and we heard running water behind the walls. We called them for help, but while waiting, we researched the issue ourselves and found it was likely air in the pipes that needed to be bled via a water heater valve. When the plumber arrived, we told him exactly what we found. He simply turned that one valve--a task that took literally 2 seconds--and then charged us $195. Most importantly, he never provided a price upfront, which is completely dishonest. Charging nearly $200 for a 2-second fix without any prior disclosure of the fee is unethical and poor business practice. I do not recommend this company. read more

This is my first time writing negative comments. They really gave a bad service. Their staff is also very rude, especially the owner. They do not communicate for any unexpected problem. They just want to get payment. They also tend to over change. One time, their plumber told me I should add another water pipe in the front yard to solve the issue. This last most memorable time a few weeks ago was for the trifecta; bathroom sink, toilet AND tub all backed up. How great for a 1 bathroom house. Terrible experience! Over charged and after leaving messages and calls regarding the issue they ignored me. The overnight fee I was told was after 6. I booked for 5-7 and the worker I was on call with suggested I move to 4-6 to avoid late fee so I did. Yet I was still charged a late fee even though they came before 6. The worker might've gave the wrong information, but could've responded to my messages apologizing and I would've left the charge the way it was. The plumber as well didn't greet when he came in and walked out without saying anything. He should've also communicated about the late fee or at-least said something. But I was able to get it disputed through my bank by showing evidence. Now they endlessly are harassing my Dad, Partner, and me. I called them to communicate why I disputed the charge and to stop harassing my family. The worker kept cussing me out, cutting me off, She said "fuck you bitch fat ass bitch" and kept calling me broke, but they are the ones harassing my family and I about the extra $57. I asked for the workers name and she refused and continued cussing me out. And charged my card on file AGAIN without my permission. What was to be a reasonably priced repair of a cracked shower head pipe, within hours, turned into an order of magnitude more expensive water damage cleanup effort. $15 Dollar Sewer and Drain takes no accountability. While neither myself nor $15 Dollar Sewer and Drain can with total certainty point to a root cause for significant water leakage across a 300 square foot area directly under where the repair work was performed. It must be noted that the water pattern in the ceiling (pictures below) show origination from the point of repair and the leaking took place within 3 hours of the repair. The probability of an unrelated event taking place in such close proximity in space and time is unfathomable. On October 14th, 2023 a leak formed on the outside of the home, a dripping leak, at an overhang that on the interior contained a shower/tub. Use of that shower/tub was immediately ceased and no more leaking occurred. Various evaluations and estimates were collected from different plumbers that considered internal through tile access versus exterior through stucco access to fix what was identified as a cracked shower pipe - between October 15th and November 3rd, where after $15 Dollar Sewer and Drain inspected the job and provided an estimate - the estimate was accepted and the job scheduled for November 7th, which was subsequently moved to November 8th. On November 8th at 10:06am Pacific, the technician arrives (Ring Camera documents the following chronology). At 12:10pm Pacific, technician leaves to get additional parts At 12:32pm Pacific technician returns with new parts At 1:19pm Pacific technician leaves At 4:12pm Pacific water is first noticed dripping from the 1st floor ceiling along a route originating from the overhang shower where work was performed. At the time of realization it is further realized that this has been occurring for some amount of time - minutes or hours - as the couch is saturated (see photos) and water has pooled on the floor (see photos). It should be further noted, that upon reviewing security camera footage, the technician never turned off the water main during their repair, which $15 Dollar Sewer and Drain claimed was not needed because the location of work was not pressurized - while true, it would seem extremely careless to not do as a precaution. At 4:23 pm after shutting off the water mains, the issue is reported to $15 Dollar Sewer and Drain who sends the technician back out. The technician arrives at 5:39 pm Pacific and spends 10-15 minutes inspecting the work and performing checks before than proceeding to turn the water main back on. Upon turning the water main back on there is no more leaking. There has been no more leaking since October 8th when the technician came back, performed his checks, and turned the water main back on. $15 Dollar Sewer and Drain ownership has not been responsive in correspondence on this issue - taking multiple attempts by email and phone to get a response to each and every correspondence. They have not taken customer service seriously and have stated it is impossible to determine a leak that does not re-occur, which normally I would agree with, if they had not done repair work hours prior to said leak. The managing technician did come out in an attempt to identify some other cause of the leak, but by his own admission could see no issues, even when the ceiling was fully opened up and he was able to inspect all of the related plumbing. As a cherry on top, as is typically the case with tradeskills, the call out fee is rolled into the service charge of you choose to use them - and $15 Dollar said this would be the case as well - they did not adhere to this and I was charged separately. I highly discourage anyone from using this company as you are gambling that your costs will be 10x higher than you think. read more

My kitchen sink suddenly clogged and messed up my dishwasher hose on the night of Dec 30 so I frantically look for plumber the next morning hoping I won't get stranded for holiday. Brian came on time and knew exactly what he's doing. He used a fiber optic camera to show how badly clogged the pipe leading to the P trap. Now it's time to talk about Luis and Serapio. They are great. Both toilets, both showers full of water. Serapio goes under the house to see if we can snake, won't work. They need to find the main line. They send a camera down a vent through the roof. They get out their jackhammers and shovels and dig through the clay and there's our pipe, right where it should be. Luis says this is your problem, the pipe looks like it's shifted. They work together, cut the pipe, put in new ABS T-pipe, allowing anyone on the surface to snake in both directions towards the house, towards the sewer. They asks us to turn all the water on and flush the toilets: let's see if this works. It does. I explained to the phone rep how the serviceman came to the house over 1 hour late, then quoted a price higher than what had been explained on the phone. I told him no thank you, that I wasn't willing to pay the higher price, at which time he left (after I had a short talk with his supervisor on the phone: supervisor confirmed the price and I confirmed my no thank you). $15 Sewer and Drain is now trying to charge me for plumbing that didn't happen, and which I in fact spent my weekend doing myself (and have receipts from Home Depot to prove it). They're "opening and investigation," since this is a "he said, she said," and will put a lien on the house if they decide I need to pay up. Wow, straight up extortion! I'll give the plumber this much: you gotta have some balls to demand money for a service you didn't provide, for an appointment you arrived 1.5 hours late for. read more
