Frozen seafood case with easy to grab shrimp, calamari, and sushi grades of fish. Don't see what you like? There's more in the back.

Get ready to feel good by stopping by this fine seafood deli. Pacific Seafood is one of the largest seafood distributors in the Pacific Northwest and perhaps the world. They supply your favorite fresh seafood to local restaurants and grocery stores. For such a large seafood distributor, this is their humble retail location where they have been on SE Powell Blvd since the early 40's. Their fresh selection of seafood comes from as far north as Alaska and as far southeast as the Gulf of Mexico. The selection changes based on what is available fresh based on the season. Don't see what you're looking for? They can order it for you! In addition, there is a large selection of frozen seafood. Some of it is self-service in a deli freezer, or you can ask for it and they may have it in the back. Service is as good as it gets. They're experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly. If you like, they can box your seafood and pack it in ice. This is above and beyond. My personal favorite are their fresh steelhead fillets. It's from their own sustainably raised steelhead farm on the Columbia River about 5 hours from Portland. Light, flavorful, and flaky. I could eat it everyday, and sometimes I do. They are open Monday through Friday, so plan accordingly for your weekend seafood meals!

Large plastic found in seafood. Totally unacceptable.

Although the seafood we purchased seemed decently fresh, we found an inch-sized piece of plastic that was pulled out while chewing crab. Any freshness of food does not account for allowing a large amount of plastic to be missed and included in human consumption. Its totally and utterly wrong. It means the food was not inspected properly and questions the practice of this establishment's quality control. I greatly hope the owner sees this as an opportunity to change their lack of attention to a customer's well-being.

We acquired some really beautiful Tuna @ a very reasonable price. My partner Andy Dunn loved your Oysters, the freshest in town.

The staff was knowledgeable and helpful, answering questions about sizing and preparation, which made the buying experience easy and stress-free. Everything was well-packed and handled with care, giving me full confidence in the product I was receiving. The Rotary Club was picking up my lobster and the company didn't charge me until after the order was picked up. The took my word I was going to pay. Get character from them. If you're looking for high-quality lobster--whether for a special occasion or just a great seafood dinner--ABC Seafood Company is absolutely worth the visit. We knew what we'd come for (lobstah!), and assumed we'd order once we made it up to the counter. However, as we waited our turn, one of the employees started shouting at us from behind a cooler. Between the distance, white noise and a slight language barrier, we weren't sure why we were being yelled at. Eventually the woman at the register clarified what we needed: one Maine lobster. How many lbs? We said two. The woman who had shouted at us confirmed our order from her co-worker, and returned with two, 2-lb Maine lobsters: a slight miscommunication. She reached into the bag, grabbed the luckier of the two, and put him back in the tank. The less fortunate one returned home with us, to satisfy my wife's pregnancy cravings! The employees could be a bit friendlier, but the seafood couldn't be much fresher!

Another co-worker was helpful in helping us to get seated and bringing out food/drinks. Wonderful service, thank you! Third, the food was AMAZING! Everything we ate was fresh, hearty, and so flavorful. We shared a cup of clam chowder and it was so creamy and delicious. My husband got the fish and chips with the Cajun seasoning and it was so scrumptious! And very filling! I got the smoked salmon po'boy and it was so decadent. I loved every bite and walked away stuffed! And, on top of it all, prices were so reasonable for such fresh fish and ingredients! If we are ever in the area again, we are going to be sure to stop by Brigham Fish Market. It is worth every minute of the drive, every dollar, and every bite! Thanks for an amazing lunch!

It was a thicker clam chowder, but it was absolutely delicious. Creamy, and they were generous with the ingredients. A very good bowl of chowder. For my main course, I had the combination halibut, king Salmon, and tuna. They were very generous with the portions. The fish was delicious. The halibut and the salmon were tender and juicy. The tuna was just a tiny bit chewier, but it was also very good. The fish was lightly breaded, although a few of the pieces. Were a bit darker than the others. That took away from it just a tiny tiny bit. But overall, successful. The tartar sauce was very good, rich and tangy. Instead of the fries, I finished with the coleslaw. It was not overdressed, and I liked the dressing. It was a sweeter dressing than your standard mayonnaise, but not overly sweet. It was an excellent coleslaw. For all of the quality food I got, the price was very reasonable. I would come back the next time. I'm in town. Thank you!

Now on to the food: I was simply blown away! They have a happy hour from 4-6 with $2 oysters! The fish was so clean and cooked to perfection! The leek salad was beautifully dressed and came with the most perfect gooey eggs. But the star of the show was the beans; incredibly tender and in the most amazing southern-style collard greens sauce. Everything was so fresh and different! The meal was simply spectacular! The restaurant itself, like the name, has a very neighborly feel, with a tiny market at the entrance. Nothing pretentious about the interiors. The menu is the type that just list ingredients so it's hard to really figure out what you're going to get, but overall the approach is very Pacific Northwest with quality ingredients. But what's enticing is really the plating, that comes out very high-end. I also should note that I came early, so it wasn't super crowded, which helps because the food came out quickly and hot from the kitchen. I think that helped. It's nice they have happy hour oysters, which is getting harder and harder to fine these days. (They're at $2 an oyster for HH). For the food, I tried the Oregon albacore with new potatoes, zucchini, and salmoriglio. This was a meaty dish that was like a terrine with the tuna and potatoes turned into a cylindrical tower and then topped with the slices of zucchini in a pattern. It was comforting and filling. You could almost get this and a salad, but I wanted to also try the nettle and ricotta gnocchi with mushrooms. This was also a beautifully plated dish that felt like mushroom foraging in the forest. The nettle made the gnocchi green and overall this was my favorite dish for the creativity and flavor. There were only two dessert items, and one was sorbet, so I didn't get any. But overall it was a really creative and delicious plates in a relaxed, casual environment in Belmont.
