Very Divey!! At first The Lexington Bar seems to be a venue that is not poppin. Very small, odd shaped, but at the same time comforting. Located just north of little Tokyo lies a dive bar that hosts music events. The location seems every interesting as there is only wholesale vendors and apt around. Paid a visit to my DJ friend (Meirlin), my friends and I were a bit skeptical about the location. Little did we know we still made the best of it and ended up hanging out til the place closed. Inside the venue was very interesting. There were paintings everywhere on the black walls and random signs placed in random areas. I like to say that The Lexington Bar is a legit venue for small music events as the sounds bounce off the walls just nicely. Parking: There are many street parking spot available around the venue. If those get taken, a paid lot across the street is also available. VERIDICT: Rinse and repeat

I feel like I need to visit this place at least another time to fully appreciate it. My friends had a show here and it was semi empty here for a while, in an awkward dive-y feel. There is some seating, but perhaps not enough for shows when people eventually do show up. I'd like to meet the bartenders, and sit with them. I sat away from them and enjoyed dear Audrey on the wall. Sound quality is actually decent for the space, so hopefully I catch onto more shows headed this way.

They had Sade playing during Happy Hour. Heck Yeah! Came here with 2 of my really good friends. We used a Groupon of $25. The Groupon was misleading because it shows a photo of food on the website, which makes you think that they serve food. But they don't. They only serve hot dogs (and will serve sausages and brats in the future). It's not the bar's fault though. However, we really dig this place! It's a pretty small and narrow with a small bar and about 6 tables and a water pong table in the middle. The bartender and other staff was super chill and kept talking to us making sure were ok and made really good drinks for my friends. He also gave us a bucket of chalk to write on the wall if we wanted to. Will definitely come back!

Perfect place to hang out and listen to some heavy metal music. The venue is small but has the perfect atmosphere for some evening fun. There is a spot in back where you can smoke but I've seen some people smoking pot inside. Depending on the venue this place can get rowdy after people get drunk. Free parking in the back but it has limited space.

The bartender adds a 20% tip to each drink purchase without permission. It is not shown on the receipt either.

I found the show through an ad promoting a 2-for-1 ticket deal: two tickets for the price of one ($15), with a two-drink minimum per person. The 2-for-1 was in the ad and even printed on the ticket itself. But when we went to scan in, the older gentleman checking tickets told us that wasn't how it worked. When we pointed out that it was exactly what had been advertised and says on the ticket, he said he'd "do us a favor" and let us in this time, but told us to "take care of our server." The venue wasn't full -- we were seated in the first section, and the upstairs wasn't being used at all -- so it's hard not to wonder if this was less about ticket policy and more about steering people toward bigger tips for the servers. Either way, it was a rough way to start our first visit to the Laugh Factory. Fortunately, everything after that was great. The hosts and comedians were hilarious, the servers were attentive, the drinks were good, and the venue itself was comfortable. I'd absolutely come back -- I'd just call ahead first to confirm ticket details so I don't have to deal with that unwelcoming entry experience again.

Real mad at the comedy store…read more First, we bought tickets to see Tiffany Haddish. She is an idol of mine. Her sense of humor is off the chain. But last night she was not on her game. She wasn't prepared. She wasn't funny. And she kept asking the audience if they had questions. Now I realize this is not the comedy store's fault. After all, she is a superstar. But what is their fault is that I called ahead and asked if Sunset Boulevard was open after a Watermain break. And they assure me that it was. Well, it wasn't. Which made me 45 minutes late for the show. So the Stage seats that I bought we're not available. And I was relegated to seats near the wall, where the talent was never facing me so you couldn't hear what they were saying. Their voices were muffled and you could only hear half the jokes. And that is the fault of the comedy store. They should have a better sound system that's not muffled so everybody in the audience can hear even if you're near the wall. It's so annoying to be within blocks of your target venue and still be 45 minutes late because of construction. Which they should be well aware of. So my evening was not at all pleasant. I was late for the show. The show sucked. We left halfway through.

Although we were all technically legal adults, I still think there is something very sleazy about an authority figure in his 40s swaying 18 and 19 year old aspiring actors to perform nude with him. Of course, he tailored his messaging toward empowerment-- all bodies are great bodies, and all bodies are welcome. The reality, however, was that most of these students were recent L.A. arrivals with little working knowledge of the entertainment industry. It's hard not to recognize the power imbalances at play and potential vulnerabilities being exploited. Having said that, I will not disparage the talent that came out of these shows, and I will commend the owner's rules regarding privacy (no cameras allowed) and hygiene (towel is required).

Since the drink was kinda sweet, you dont really taste the alcohol at first, but I started getting the Asian flush so there was definitely alcohol in it.
