Ordered Hibachi for pick up, sesame chicken and hot & sour soup. First, the order was exactly what we asked for. Portions are large so plan accordingly. My wife and son liked the hibachi steak. It is certainly better in the restaurant and hot off the grill. And of course you miss those great jokes from the chef. The sesame chicken was good but also on the sweeter side with no kick. I came in tonight may 12 around 7 to pick up an online order the girl at the front said she never got my order and that she could not help me she was rude and didn't offer to take my order then basically told me there was nothing that she could do. I tried to call to talk to someone about this issue but she recognized my voice and refused to let me talk to someone else. This is not the first time she has been extremely rude its happened every time that me or someone in my family has delt with her. We love the food here but from now on we will take our business elsewhere to avoid this very rude employee. I refuse to continue to have myself or my family treated this way by the same girl. One of my favorite Asian restaurants in the area, I like the atmosphere, the food and the Thai. Although I'm not a sushi fan several of my friends who have been said the sushi is first rate. It was good, I would probably go back one more time but after that no more, we had someone who couldn't eat gluten so we needed to be careful they said they could make it gluten free but they have us egg noddles and those egg noddles were not gluten free so we asked the waiter and he said yes with an unsure face so we had a back and fort stare off, of uncertainty so he went to check the box it didn't say so we returned it and ordered something else. My family wanted some dinner to go and I was craving Pad Thai. While my spring roll was delish, the ginger house salad and pad thai left a lot to be desired. The pad thai was basically just bland noodles, no sprouts, no egg, the lime was dried out. Called in a to go order and was extremely disappointed. I was hung up on twice during the ordering process. The lady answering the phones was probably the rudest person I have ever dealt with. Once I placed my order, I had to drive to the store because I was told there was no one that could deliver (even though the menu says they do deliveries). The lady was rude in person as well. Picked up the order for my co workers and I, and returned to work only to be missing my portion of the order. I called the store back and explained to the lady that my food was missing. She proceeded to argue with my over the phone telling me that she knows the food was in the bag because she packed it and she knows she wasn't wrong. I am in the food/serving industry myself, and I know that mistakes are made, but the lady would just not accept that fact that she had messed up. After the conversation got heated, I asked to speak to a manager and of course I was told that he was busy and did not have time to talk to me. I told the lady that I was going to come back in to get my food and then she told me that I was A LIAR, and that I was ONLY TRYING TO GET FREE FOOD!!! I don't know what possessed this lady to think that I was trying to steal food....I just wanted the food i had already paid for.... Then she hung up on me FOR A 3RD TIME.. I called back and she told me to bring ALL OF THE FOOD BACK to the store so she could show me that the food was in the bag. Of course my coworkers had already began to eat so I was not going to pack their half eaten food up to take it back up there. (Not to mention that it would have been cold after driving there and back again). She then told me to drive to the store and talk to the manager and then he would CONSIDER remaking my food... This infuriated me. I told her that I would be back in 10 minutes and to please have my food ready. Once I got to the store, the lady handed me my bag of food and told me that it was MY FAULT that the food was not in the bag because I didn't check to see if I had all items before I left the store. I understand that people have bad days, and that the food industry can get extremely chaotic at times, (I've been in it for 5 years now) HOWEVER, this is the ALL TIME WORST customer service I have EVER received. I hope that no other customer has to deal with this lady the way I was forced to deal with her. I did not get to talk to a manager because when I got to the store, he was still "BUSY." My suggestion to this place would be to actually care for the customers needs and demands, have AVAILABLE managers, and to teach that lady some manners, and respect. The food was not bad once I finally got to eat it, but I simply can not return to a business that lets their employees act in such a way, and I certainly couldn't imagine giving them my money again. I have lived in this community for several years and have eaten there about 10 times. Initially they were good, but the service and food started declining. Last time, the service was slow and I felt that I was being ignored most of the time. It was a busy night, but no excuses. The food is ok, but it is never consistent. Their two month promotion is very misleading that runs through the end of January. My wife invited me here, since we had not tried Pacific Spice since they opened 5-6 years ago. She was very upset for recommending that we go there due to the following promotion. She had a flyer that the restaurant sent out in the local Bentwater and Governor's Towne Club Community claiming: "All Hibachi dinners are 50% OFF (Buy 1st one get 2nd one)" Verbatim....No disclaimers or fine print at all. When we got charged 50% for 2nd meal and the owner argued that I needed to read the ad as first sentence first, then the 3rd sentence and then the add the 2nd sentence about 50% off. I teach advertising at the local college and this is blatant false advertising and sleazy to get you in the door. We are all used to Buy one, get one free at many restaurants trying to build traffic and create broader interest. So this type of practice is unprofessional. read more

Stopped in for a nice lunch, haven't been there in a while. A bit late for lunch so I wasn't surprised it was not very busy. Very prompt friendly service. The meal (soup and curry) had a good taste. Problem is, within 20 minutes, intestinal distress. Most of the time this is caused by someone not washing their hands, and either eating with their hands or handling your silverware. I know I washed my hands but I'm not so sure about everyone else. Put a damper on my day and my desire to return to Pacific Spice any time soon. read more

As I sit in this restaurant while I write this review I'm upset with the crappy service from the moment I walked in. Empty restaurant but refuses to sit 4 of a 7 party at a hibachi table. Then because we wait the people they do before us screw the whole thing up. One in our party is starring at the back of the cooks head. Then the ball just rolls down hill from there. This is the best hibachi in the world. They have the best servers and provide the best service. Everything is amazing!

My family and I love this place and go nearly every week. They don't have a hostess, but after a minute, the staff will see that you want to be seated and ask which side you want to sit on. We eat everything except Thai (personal preference) and it's all good. Friendly waiters, and they are interested where everyone is if they don't see the entire family. They make us feel right at home and remember what we like to drink. They can't remember our orders because we change them often. read more

Went for lunch yesterday and we must have caught the wait staff in a bad mood. First they came over and asked how many and I advised 2 that my husband was on the way in. I have ordered from this place before and the lady who answers the phone is completely rude. I call from my cell phone so sometimes I want it to be delivered to my house and other times at work. They lady said "you need to pick one address and keep switching them"....do you want my money or not because it really seems like she doesnt. I ordered delivery tonight and they arrived very quickly. I ordered Kung Pao shrimp and it was delicious until I found a long straight black hair in my food. On top of that, the guy who delivered my food could barely figure out the money situation. I asked him for change and he gave me incorrect change, which then started to confuse me. Hong Kong Star is right up the road. I should've ordered from there but I figured the wait would be longer. I was extremely disappointed to my recent visit to Pacific Spice. 3 adults and 4 kids. It took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered miso soup, friend rice, salad, California rolls and a 2 piece nigiri. There was only one chef there working with 3 full hibachi tables, so the wait was long. With 4 kids, I would have expected so type of show (onion volcano, train, catching a piece of eff) He did none of this, it was very boring. One of the kids asked if he could catch the egg (it's happened most times we have been there) Chef just ignored him. It took 3 times to ask for chopsticks. My husband always orders his filet rare, it was basically raw. The miso soup was cold and lack of flavor. The California rolls were good but very small. I never received my nigiri after I asked about it. I then told her I didn't want it and to take it off the bill. All the kids were finished with their Japanese drink and she volunteered to bring them all water. I had to ask her again twice where the water was. But the kicker, was when we got the bill. My friend was charged an extra $2.50 for fried rice she didn't order. She asked the waitress to take it off. We had a $25 gift card which she took to apply to our bill. When she brought the checks back, the fried rice from my friends bill was now on ours. I asked her to bring me the original check and showed her the difference. She said she had forgotten to put it on the check the first time. Upon leaving, I told her is the worst experience we have ever had there and will not be coming back. I said Volcano (another hibachi restaurant) is much better and we will take our business there. Funny, she agreed with me...said she worked there too and would see me there. read more

This was my third time coming to this restaurant. First Experience- Pretty good, ordered my lunch to go. Loved the rice and flavor of the meal which was Hunan Shrimp. Second Experience- I was stopping in with my son to order and run to Publix next door. The man that greeted me was extremely rude and I promptly turned around and left. Third Experience- Lunch in the restaurant with my husband. There was an incredibly weird smell, which should've been my first clue. I ordered Kani and Hunan Shrimp. The Kani was terrible! Rude new hostess (miss the old one :( Their online prices don't match their actual prices and when I questioned my total upon picking up to to go order, the hostess all but said I was wrong g! Luckily a young guy who worked there looked it up and confirmed the five dollar difference!!! I asked the hostess for a credit and she said "I just work here!" Well yeh that's the point! She said she'd have Papa John (owner) call me but nope not a word! Small place, but nice atmosphere. Meals are about $10 on average. We came for the Thai, but the hibachi appears to be the main draw. Pretty unique in that it offers Thai, Hibachi, Chinese, and Japanese food. They do take-out too. read more

Although the food was great and our Hibachi chef was hysterically funny and entertaining, I was very disappointed with the attitude of the hostess who refused to honor our coupon. We had a party of five and ordered three entrees because two in our party were not very hungry and wanted a small meal so two of the entrees were shared. Understandably there was a charge for sharing as well as other charges to cover the small side salad and soup which was a total of 19.00. However, when I presented the coupon which was "buy one entree and get a second at 50% off" she refused to honor it saying "you can't use the coupon because you shared entrees". I explained that we ordered 3 entrees and yes two of the entrees were shared but we payed 19.00 to share.....and regardless of "sharing" (which we paid for) we ordered 3 entrees and had a coupon for 50% off one entree. She continued to say "no no you shared so you can't use the coupon". The coupon says nothing about sharing or anything else other than "cannot be combined with any other offer" and the expectation date. My disappointment is in the attitude and the way this hostess (she may have been management but not sure) handled the situation which was devoid of any customer service concerns. So, enjoy the food and wonderful entertainment but we wary of using coupons and don't expect warm customer service. read more

I had terrible indigestion all night long from eating a yellow currie dish w/ chicken, and that never happens to me. The food here is not fresh and the staff have dead eyes. They just don't care. Anyone giving them more than one star has never ventured out of Acworth. I almost Gordon Ramsey'd them but I was so weak from malnourishment of the poor quality food. read more
