I found James here on yelp, based on the great reviews. Setting up an appointment was a breeze, I just texted him and he came out as soon as he could. He showed up on time and got right to work, focused and took his time without rushing. I had two cracks, and he repaired both for one flat rate. He was professional and friendly. I noticed that he carved out a little but visible hole in the middle of the cracks before filling it in. Those holes were not there before. I am assuming he needs to make those holes to fill it in, but when I first saw it I was concerned. I've never had cracks repaired before so I don't known if that's standard procedure or not. James went above and beyond. I had a chip in my windshield, but I also had a scratched lens on my GoPro camera. I read that a windshield repair place might be able to fix it. I called several, but none of them were even willing to give it a try. James said that he would, with no problem. When he got to my house (love the on site service, hate waiting in line) he found a second chip in the windshield that he repaired for no extra charge. A rock hit my windshield while driving on the 78 freeway on a Friday night with hardly any traffic around. =( The rock put a small star-shaped crack on the lower passenger side of the windshield. I read that you need to get windshield cracks filled in as soon as possible to prevent them from spreading and/or compromising the integrity of the windshield. I met with James 3 days after the crack occurred. He was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He called ahead of time to say he would be a bit later than planned due to other windshield jobs, and I appreciated the heads up. When James arrived, he got to work right away to survey the crack. He also asked if I called my insurance since they might cover the cost (not all insurance companies still cover windshield cracks). I said no, and he suggested we call them to see. James called them from his phone and luckily they would waive my deductible & cover the cost! I was thankful that James made this helpful & considerate suggestion! However, even if I had to pay out of pocket, James' rates are very reasonable. When James got to work on my windshield, he was attentive to detail & seemed to genuinely like what he was doing.
