Carnitas taco and Carne Sada taco

We weren't that hungry but Pacifico's is our last stop vacation go to before heading home. The amazing happy hour specials have dwindled down to a few items including a chicken quesadilla with shredded chicken, two soft tacos, nachos that you can add meat to, and their ceviche. The chips and salsa now cost $4 . My favorite, their taquitos that was on the happy hour special is not even available as an appetizer on the regular menu. Since we were traveling, we couldn't participate in the drinks at the bar.

Great end of the day post-wine tasting spot to satisfy those hunger pains. A couple of mixed drinks, and some shrimp tacos were a great way to end the day. Reasonably priced menu with a full sized bar. Walking distance from our hotel was a plus!

Can't go wrong when you stop in for yummy appetizers and margaritas. The margs were strong, empanadas and chips and salsa tasty. The outdoor patio is gorgeous with a great view of the adorable downtown area. Lastly, the service was friendly and prompt.

Authentic Mexican cuisine is alive and well in wine country! Located on the busy intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Cedar Streets in the heart of downtown Calistoga, Pacifico Restaurante Mexicano is a traditional taqueria and cantina that specializes in entrees that are worthy enough to be featured at your favorite resort along the Pacific coast of Mexico, let alone along a small street in the heart of wine country. What brought us here on a recent weekend afternoon was a visit to a nearby winery that a friend happened to be a member of, and after an early afternoon of wine tasting and charcuterie and cheese pairings, we were both kind of famished for something local and affordable. After driving down Lincoln Avenue from the Silverado Trail side and evaluating our options, Pacifico Restaurante Mexicano was like a beacon of light that shined down on us, almost beaconing us to join them for some chips and salsa. It also helped that there was a parking spot along Lincoln Avenue for us to take right nearby. There are actually two entrances to Pacifico Restaurante Mexicano, as one leads visitors to their bar area, and the other leads visitors to their dining room and host station. We took the former and graciously sat in their dining room, which even though it was the lunch hour on a weekend afternoon it wasn't too busy, but by the time we left they would be bustling with customers. The menu at Pacifico Restaurante Mexicano is separated into categories including Appetizers, Salads, Mariscos, Grilled, Tradicionales, and their Beverages which include Margaritas, Cocktails, Vinos, Cervezas and Soft Drinks. Although many of their menu items sounded delicious, there was something about feasting on Enchiladas, especially when I was a smidge enlightened from the wine tasting that we had just enjoyed that sounded rather tempting. And when I found out that diners receive two enchiladas on their plate with the options of shredded beef, chicken, or cheese topped with a rich red sauce, I was sold. The fact that you could mix and match your enchilada filling at no extra cost, and the entrée comes served with sour cream, guacamole, rice, sweet corn, choice of beans, of which I chose refried, I was even more on board, as these days all of these add-ons would come at a cost at other restaurants but thankfully not here. My dining mate ordered their Burrito Supremo, which gives diners a choice of steak, carnitas, shredded chicken or beef for their filling, and too is served with choice of beans, black or refried, rice, guacamole, sour cream, and is topped with red sauce, and melted cheese. To drink with our meal my friend ordered a libation of their choice and I, needing a bit of waking up, ordered a Harvey Winehard's bottled root beer which was served chilled along with an ice filled glass. It wouldn't take too long for our meal to be prepared and presented to our table, what would help was that we were served a complimentary basket full of freshly fried tortilla chips and salsa to enjoy. Once our meal did come, my enchiladas were two perfectly warmed tortillas topped with an abundance of sauce and filled with a ton of shredded meat. It was so much food thanks to the sides of guacamole, sour cream, rice and beans that after a mere few bites, I was already full and ready to take the rest of my meal home with me, which would make for the perfect meal over the course of a few days. Our total bill would come out to be $64.65 before gratuity was added in, which was actually quite reasonable with two entrées and two beverages, and both of us had meals to take home from our trip to wine country. With solid Mexican fare and even occasional live music for diners to partake in, some of which is offered during weekdays from 4-6:30 p.m. at Happy Hour prices, Pacifico Restaurante Mexicano is a solid hearty alternative to the many other restaurants that offer more traditional fare in wine country. Here's to their longevity and success for decades to come!

I would agree with yelp's rating of three Stars. Would l eat hear again not likely'. I love Mexican food it's an addiction! Everywhere I go I try the Mexican food Taco trucks pull me into their vortex. So it's happy hour street tacos $10 for2 ok drinks look reasonably priced. $20 burrito hmm , $20 burgers. Nothing special just average doesn't cut it for me, Service kinda slow' ok let's critique the five Dollar steak street tacos $10 for2. Well I was super hungry and still not great dry, hard, crispy, like it was sitting under a heat lamp or something opposite of excellent. Oh did I mention chips and salsa not included $6 during Happy hour. So all and all I'm not happy after having happy hour here. Adios !! Note it is Calistoga and options are limited. It is the Napa Valley and things are priced a little higher.

I am so glad to have this amazing Mexican restaurant in Calistoga. The fish tacos were absolutely fantastic, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. My friend, who does not eat meat, was thrilled with the taco salad, which was packed with fresh veggies. She mentioned it is rare to find such a satisfying veggie-filled option, and it made her day. The salsa that came with the chips was incredible too. I enjoyed it on both the chips and the fish tacos.

The interior of this restaurant is divided into two dining areas and then a spacious outdoor space. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was ok, but for the price they charge, the food can be elevated with special ingredients or a new spin on a classic.

Bad food. Stale chips. Poor service. Avoid. Wife had a horrible margarita (millionaire) and I had a decent one (skinny). Hard pass.

The banana bread was perfectly moist, but with crispy edges and a delicious mascarpone side. We also had espresso martinis to complement these sweet treats. Everyone was really impressed with the meal and we would definitely come back again! We sat outside on the patio with the option for shade or heaters depending on the weather. But from the moment we arrived, the welcome and the service from our waiter were 10/10. From the very first bite, we completely fell in love with the flavor and quality of the food. The churros and banana bread were the best we've ever had, and the drinks were perfectly balanced. Without a doubt, the next time we visit Calistoga, this will be our first mandatory stop.

This is hands down my…read morefavorite place in Calistoga, and I tell everyone who visits Napa Valley that this is a must-see destination. Don't just stop by for a meal--plan to spend a few hours exploring because every historic train car has its own unique experience. The amount of creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail is incredible. Every space feels thoughtfully designed, and you can tell every decoration and element was placed with intention. I notice something new every time I visit. I honestly can't pick a favorite train car. Casa Obsidiana serves authentic Oaxacan cuisine in one of the most beautifully designed spaces. The Parlor Car is elegant and perfect for champagne, caviar, and fresh oysters. If you're visiting with kids (or just have a sweet tooth), Earth & Sky Chocolates is a must--everything is absolutely delicious. Then there's the First Millionaires' Saloon, which is one of the coolest bars you'll ever walk into. The décor alone is worth the visit, and the distillery adds another unique experience to explore. Every train car has its own personality, making the entire property feel like an adventure rather than just a place to eat. The food is fantastic across the board. My son is obsessed with the wood-fired pizzas, and we've never had a meal we didn't enjoy. Whether you're stopping in for dinner, drinks, dessert, or simply wandering through the train cars, there's something for everyone. What truly makes this place even more special is the people. Every single employee we've encountered has been genuinely warm, welcoming, and kind. Michael always goes out of his way to say hello and make us feel at home, and Pedro is just as friendly and accommodating. You can tell the staff genuinely care about creating a memorable experience, and that hospitality is a huge reason we keep coming back. To make it even better, they have live music every weekend, creating such a fun atmosphere that you'll want to stay for hours. I've visited many places throughout Napa Valley, and nothing compares to the Calistoga Depot. It's historic, beautiful, unique, family-friendly, romantic, and unlike anywhere else. Whether you're looking for amazing food, handcrafted cocktails, authentic Oaxacan cuisine, incredible desserts, live music, or simply a one-of-a-kind experience, you'll find it here. This isn't just one of my favorite restaurants--it's one of my favorite places, period. If you're in Calistoga, don't even question it. Put the Calistoga Depot at the top of your list. I promise you'll leave already planning your next visit.

This place is so cool and definitely worth a stop when you're in Calistoga…read more We stopped by for a quick lunch and were immediately led into the distillery, which can only be described as impressive. Boasting high ceilings with exposed wood beams and a beautifully decorated bar area, the space oozes with rustic class and would make a great venue for any party or group gathering. We, however, came in for a sit down lunch with two kids and the small lounge seats and tables were not the best setup for a family meal. Which is the only thing keeping me from giving this place five stars. Similarly, the menu was also catered more to adults, with plenty of vegan options but very few items suitable for kids. That's not a knock on this place, just something to take note of. As a result, we opted to snack on a few items and the caviar and duck fat fries did not disappoint. The espresso martini with pumpkin foam was also excellent. But the really cool part about this place is the vintage train cars, each intricately decorated and offering their own dining/drinking experience. For example, one offers an oyster bar with underwater decor while another features a cowboy bar with real saddles as bar seats. The cleverness in design and attention to detail is impressive and is what makes this place special. I doubt there is a more interesting place to have lunch in Calistoga. I'm a fan of what they're doing here and would love to come back. Minus the kids of course.
