I've been visiting Sam's General store multiple times now and felt due for a well deserved review! This coffee shop/cafe is so cute and has a nice outdoor patio seating, as well as some seats inside if it's cold. The employees are all friendly and have always answered any questions I have about the menu. My favorite menu item is the iced strawberry matcha - I have tried to find one as good elsewhere and have not been successful! I have gotten lattes a couple of times which are good as well. They do have breakfast items - like bagels and toast. These are good as well but nothing too special to note. Overall - I will always come back when I am in town to get my favorite strawberry matcha drink!

We came here every morning during our trip to Napa. Coffee was solid, but our favorite was the atmosphere. There's plenty of seats all around the property that made it the perfect place to have a slow morning. Loved it!

Delicious oat milk latte! The service was very fast and the patio is super cute. A great start to the day before heading to the vineyards.

While staying across the street, I sought a quick breakfast and a much-needed coffee. The coffee was exceptional, truly remarkable. However, the avocado toast left an indelible impression on my memory.

Stopped by Sam's General Store for breakfast and really enjoyed the experience. I had the quiche and my friend had the avocado toast-both were delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. However, too many sesame seeds on both. But You can tell they use quality ingredients. The ambiance is what really stood out -- charming, cozy, and thoughtfully put together. Whether you're sitting inside or out on the patio, it's a lovely spot to start the morning. That said, it's definitely on the pricey side. You're paying a bit of a premium, especially for breakfast, but the overall atmosphere and food make it feel (mostly) worth it. A great little stop if you're in the area and don't mind splurging a bit for a laid-back, elevated breakfast.

Stopped in for lunch at this cute little store. Plenty of tables and sunshine and it was nicely manicured. My friend and I got the same thing, the breakfast sandwich. Hers was too hot in the middle and mine was took cold. I guess they heated them at the same time? The latte did the job. Bf got the tea, and I didn't hear any complaints. Very cute spot to try if the day is nice and you got time to lounge.

We got a lovely coffee at Sam's general store. My cappuccino was strong and tasted amazing. The coffee shop is in a historic building in Calistoga, and there is a really pleasant outdoor seating area. It took a little while to get to the front of the line to order- but it wasn't horrible- and it was an exercise in patience on a relaxed morning. I would recommend this spot!

It's a cute little shop connected to an Inn. So it's not entirely its own coffee shop- as there are areas for hotel guests only. But plenty of outdoor seating. (Restrooms are outside.)

Stopped by for a quick coffee after getting into Calistoga, definitely need to get there early if you want any of the pastries. It was a holiday weekend and they had already sold out of most things by the time we arrived, but they had a couple items which we really wanted to try. They have multiple outdoor areas which are super nice to enjoy your drinks. Worth checking out if you can get some tasty treats.

    Cute, relaxed locals cafe.

Had breakfast here on our recent trip and loved the food, ambiance and local vibe. It's a grab & go place where you order from the counter. We also loved the tucked away location one block from Main Street. What we had: Coffee - delicious Overnight Oats Croissant Egg salad Fruit Simple, healthy, delicious! Highly recommend.

I was staying in the area at a spot with no breakfast so I drove over for a very early breakfast and to read for a bit. I had dreams of sitting outside by a fire pit and watching the sunrise but it was simply too cold to do that lol. The staff inside was very friendly and I started with a chai latte and a breakfast sandwich and found a cozy corner to read in. There was a pretty steady stream of traffic coming in after that, I'm assuming both folks staying on property and others like me looking for a quick bite to eat. On the way out, I grabbed one of their juices and an almond croissant. The green juice was really good, the almond croissant left a bit to be desired. I would return!

Dear Management Team,…read more I am writing to formally express my concern regarding an extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional experience I had at Calistoga Roastery on August 21, 2027, between approximately 1:00 and 1:15 p.m. I was visiting Calistoga with a friend to celebrate our birthdays and enjoy a spa treatment. Before our appointment, we decided to stop by your coffee shop for a quick bite and a coffee. Unfortunately, what should have been a simple and pleasant experience became very upsetting and left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. When we entered the establishment, a male employee greeted us. I responded politely, "Good, how are you?" while looking at the menu. He responded, "Shitty." My friend immediately acknowledged his comment by saying, "Sorry about that." I did not hear his response clearly and continued looking at the menu. He then said to my friend, "Thank you for acknowledging it, unlike your friend. She doesn't care what day I'm having." At first, I assumed he was joking. However, once I realized he was genuinely upset with me, I apologized and explained that I had not heard what he said. Rather than accepting my apology, he continued repeatedly telling me that I "didn't give a shit" and that I "didn't care" about how he was feeling. He continued making these comments in front of my friend and other customers. I repeatedly tried to apologize and clarify that I genuinely had not heard his response, but the situation continued to escalate. At that point, I felt extremely uncomfortable and confused about what was expected of me. I had simply responded politely to a greeting and was not intentionally ignoring or dismissing him. I understand that everyone can have a difficult day, and I have empathy for that. However, it is not appropriate to project personal frustration onto a customer or repeatedly criticize them after they have apologized and attempted to clarify a misunderstanding. There was also a woman present, who appeared to have blonde hair, who witnessed the interaction. She smiled at me and commented that "he always does this." Her reaction gave me the impression that this behavior may not have been an isolated incident. The employee later explained that breakfast was no longer being served because it was after 1:00 p.m. I accepted that information without issue. Despite this, when we were leaving, I thanked him and attempted to end the interaction respectfully. He made another insulting comment in front of my friend and other customers, stating that I did not know about my friend because "she has a bad attitude." I was especially disappointed by this experience because I also work in the customer service industry. I understand that employees can have difficult days and that misunderstandings can happen. However, I would never allow a customer to be treated this way, nor would I expect an employee, supervisor, or manager to repeatedly insult or confront a customer over such a minor interaction. What should have been a quick and pleasant stop during our birthday celebration instead became an experience in which I felt embarrassed, disrespected, and unwelcome. I did not confront the employee or respond disrespectfully, despite how uncomfortable the interaction became. I continued to conduct myself with grace and professionalism because I believe that is how customers and employees should treat one another. I am respectfully asking management to take this incident seriously, investigate what occurred, and take appropriate action to ensure that other customers do not experience similar treatment in the future. I also hope that appropriate guidance or training can be provided to staff regarding professional communication and customer service. I appreciate your time in reviewing my complaint and hope to receive a response regarding how this matter will be addressed. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Great ambience off Silverado trail. Cane here with my best friend to do a tasting. Charlie was our host and she was amazing. Super knowledgeable and a terrific host. We tasted two olive oils form their harvest. One was more of the less ripe olives and one was of the more ripe olives. Both were tasty. One more and the other less acidic. Both peppery. The. Came a couple of oils form Italy and Spain. I liked the Spanish one much better and it went well with the bread and was candidly amazing in its own Then rhe balsamic vinegar came. Aged to 18 years the fist was perfectly acidic and quite viscous. The second one an infused with ripe figs for a year. More sweet for me but perfectly balanced. What an awesome idea experience I highly recommend this place!!!.

For example, while others had an olive oil gelato, I had an olive oil sorbet with a blood orange gummy. It was really interesting. In no way did I feel deprived or like I was missing out. In fact, mine might have been better than what the others had. That was the last course though. Before that, we did olive oil tastings with bread and popcorn and balsamic vinegar tastings with cherry tomatoes. They used to make all the food in house but now partner with some local places. Amberly also did a wonderful job walking us through details around the tastings and it was very informative. The whole thing takes place indoors and the interior is cute with plenty of olive oil lining the walls. I would absolutely go back to do it again in the future and recommend it to anyone considering it!

Walking around the castle, seeing all the details, the animals, the old-world architecture... it was almost surreal. I was honestly speechless. Our sommelier, Gerardo, was top notch. He was super friendly and really knew his stuff. He told us so much about the wines and the history of the castle, which made the tasting even more interesting. We tasted five different wines, and they all had their own character and flavors. But my favorite by far was the La Fantasia Frizzante Rose. This one really surprised me. It was naturally sweet, light, and slightly sparkling, with a really juicy fruit flavor. I got a lot of strawberry and berry right away, with that sweet-tart fruitiness that reminded me of fresh summer berries. There was also a little pomegranate and raspberry flavor that gave it a brighter finish. It was refreshing, smooth, and just really easy to drink. Out of everything we tasted, this was the one I kept thinking about. Definitely my personal favorite.
