Happy to find a place in town that was still serving when we stopped on our way to capital reef. Friendly waitstaff, food was fine.

We had been here before, so we came back expecting another good experience. We chose Parowan Cafe…read moreto celebrate our 7-year-old's birthday because she was excited to have a special birthday breakfast. When we asked our waitress if they did anything for birthdays, she seemed dismissive and irritated, responding, "We don't do things for birthdays, sorry." I understand that not every restaurant offers birthday desserts or freebies, but what was disappointing was that there was no effort to acknowledge the birthday or even speak to my daughter. A simple "Happy Birthday" would have meant a lot. Unfortunately, the service continued to be disappointing. It took quite a while to place our order, we were never asked if we needed anything else or wanted refills, and when we were ready to leave, we tried multiple times to get our waitress's attention for to-go boxes and the check. She ignored us, and we eventually had to flag down another server for assistance. This experience left us feeling overlooked, especially on what was supposed to be a special morning for our daughter. We weren't expecting anything extravagant--even a little whipped cream on her pancakes and a sincere "Happy Birthday" would have made her feel celebrated. Based on this experience, we won't be returning.

The cinnamon roll was dry and stale. It wasn't just day-old, it tasted like it was several days old. Do not waste your time stopping at this Cafe. I'd give zero stars if I could.

You really cannot go wrong the ice cream tastes fresh & creamy. This spot is the perfect spot to stop if you're on a road trip. There's ample parking, nice/clean bathrooms and tons of outdoor seating. There's even corn hole & grassy area for dogs. We arrived right before closing and the service was quick and efficient getting us our ice cream. Super helpful knowing the flavors all while still being friendly. 10/10 will definitely be back. Just make sure you check the store hours. They close early during the week.

Only nit I had (cost them a star in my book) was the service behind the take-out food counter. Everyone else in store was great. I walked up to order at 10:55 a.m. No one else in line. I get avoided by 3-4 people chatting each other up behind counter. Finally get this girl decides to come up to counter. I order a grilled cheese sandwich. She takes great delight in sending me away ... "That's on the lunch menu, we don't start serving lunch until 11:00 a.m. Come back then". No way, are you kidding me? Lots of cool swag in here with their Creamery logo. I bought a bunch of stuff including some excellent looking cheese. Went back to counter at 11:05 and ordered the grill cheese. I actually thought about leaving. Got it 15 mins later and sat outside at one of their tables and enjoyed it. Was pretty good with bacon and avocado and mayo. Was getting ready to leave and kept seeing folks coming out with ice cream, so went back in that part of store and had a chocolate peanut butter milk shake made. Delish, and staff there offered me a whipped cream pup cup for Luna. So, staff service was good except for the rude one in the food service area. Nice restrooms and a big parking lot. Glad I got there when I did because a large tour bus showed up about noon with 50+ people disgorged at once. If you are driving north or south on I-15, this is a worthwhile stop

They were little busy but not too much. Stood in front waiting as one waitress looked at us, didn't say a word and kept on doing what she was doing. Another gal came by and said she will be right with us. Eventually got sat and got to order food. Menu had funny names and sounded pretty good. I didn't know what to order so I went safe route and ordered fried fish (cod) with tater tots. Also ordered the Branding iron cheese steak and The barnyard burger. Food took little longer than expected but they did have a large table before us Food finally arrives and well, what can I say, had one of those should have would have could have but didn't moment. My 3 fish pieces and tator tots looked like straight out of the frozen box from the grocery store. Now I did not expect them to be fresh catch off the ocean and hand battered but I just could not help the presentation and feeling I got. The sandwich looked OK and cheese was not quite melted. Hamburger looked good though. Fish tasted like it looked, although they were crispy right off the fryer so that was a plus. Tator tots and French fries were alright, at least crispy. Sandwich was another disappointment. The sandwich bread was nice and soft but I could not get over the cheap grocery store deli meat roast beef taste for the beef. I did not try the burger but did see the yoke ooze out as first bite was taken. I was told burger was pretty good. Over all service was pretty good but food just was very disappointing. I wanted to like this place but maybe I just had too much expectation.
